Installation procedure
IS MANDATORY TO BE ON ANDROID 12 FVG1 FW BEFORE FLASHING BR 1.8 !!!
0) Backup ALL your important files to PC, ext drives, etc
1) Download and copy the latest BR ROM zip into your external storage or USB stick if you're on stock fw encrypted
2) Download latest FVG1 stock FW for your phone model and unpack it on your PC
3) Boot in download mode (Vol Up + Vol Down + plug the USB cable connected already to PC) and load up Odin on PC
Don't use USB adapters otherwise you might get issues flashing FW in Odin
Turn off Auto Reboot in Odin
4) Select files BL, AP, CP & HOME_CSC (keep data)
**do not start flash yet
5) Download Android 12 compatible TWRP (twrp_FVEA_vbmeta.tar) from above link.
6) Add the above twrp + vbmeta patched.tar file into the USERDATA slot in Odin
7) Uncheck the auto reboot option in Odin and start the flashing
8) When flashing completes (keep usb plugged in !!!), hold Vol Down + Power buttons and then as soon as the screen goes black hold Vol Up + Power buttons to boot to recovery
*be warned first time you boot into recovery it will initialise and then reboot so just keep the buttons Vol Up + Power buttons pressed longer
**if you boot in stock FW, your data will be encrypted and you'll need to wipe your data before flashing BR 1.x
9) When boot in TWRP, wipe your data if you're encrypted, flash BR 1.x zip and then reboot to system
10) After the first boot, install Magisk Manager if necessary; when you'll start Magisk Manager for the first time, reply with YES (agree to reboot) after MM have setup your root environment
*after reboot, go to Magisk Manager settings and toggle On Zygisk
10) Enjoy....
1. Backup to PC all your important files: documents, pictures, contacts, SMS, etc. BEFORE starting to flash anything
2. If you have issues booting the ROM, try the clean flash
3. Starting with Android 11, to boot into TWRP you need to use a USB cable connected to PC (same as DL mode) or a USB stick

So the root for N985F is the same procedure and use the latest magisk canary?
Correct but this rom only supports 986B.
Do you think i can get root if i just flash the twrp+vbmeta then flash magisk on twrp? Thanks in advance
That's correct but you'll need to format data and run the multidisabler.
Where can i get the multi disabler file? Sorry for asking too much if this rom would just work on my n985f i would flash it just to have root access.

This rom using HONG KONG （TGY）CSC ，support fully English 。Rom already debloated app ，some Samsung feature ，as minimum version。Also TGY version almost same as Global 。
OK so i tried the ROM and here is my feedback :
- The ROM is extreme debloadted ( no Bixy, no EdgeScreen, no Calulator, no Notes....only keep the core apps for daily use ) . When i install and use the Edge Screen function, i met some error and crash !
- The ROM run kinda lag at first load. After i turn of all the Animation in Development , the respond speed is better but well still... have lag somehow when switching app, downloading stuffs etc..
Conclusion : I do love this ROM since it have very nice and clean debloated , should be better if improve the LAG issue as well as the "must have" Edge function.:good:

i have made a tweak collection （Phoenix_mod download in Google drive same as rom download link），seem because i wanna let some people know how slow and lag if our developer dont try to modify it:good::good::silly::silly:（just simply flash after your phone reboot，in the next update i will return back to normal as i made the rom before，bring back all my Phoenix mod into my rom）
btw i extremely highly recommend flash the zip also in download link（gdrive），for great performance。
and for edge screen seem ，i have doing a vote in my Chinese grp 90% of us wanna to remove it think it is useless
Actually i have started to made our s8（835）rom from Android7.0，from now already made around 10+ update in my Chinese qq group。Also as well as Samsung Galaxy S6。

I will try my best to keep maintain it until next generation of Samsung （s10？:victory:），as i will sure keep update this rom around a year first。Also and what is your device ？（ s8 or s8+） And hope you enjoy it 。If you find any problem ，i will try my best to solve it :victory:
My device is S8+ ( SM-G9550 4/64 ) I also flash your Rom to my brother S8+ version 6/128, both phone working flawless. Btw i tested Antutu Benkmark with your Rom and reach 192k points vs 176k points stock ROM.

Running the 32-bit version for 580 without problems.
Will test clean install again .. in the next days.
If you install Magisk it may boot two times at first start .. looks like bootlooping.

Works fine if i factory reset but if I reinstall magisk zip again it gets the black screen again on first boot. Only way to fix is factory reset again and i lose all my installed apps. Any ideas?

Pls use version Magisk 17.2.
Good luck !
EDIT:
You can always restore boot.img (unzip ROM) and either skip Magisk or use older/newer Magisk version.
This way you don't loose any data!
For me 17.2 works fine.

Install Magisk via TWRP only .. on top of fresh unmodified boot.img !
Im not modifying the boot.img im just flashing the rom then factory reset then magisk and open gapps

Known issues:
- AdvancedDisplay (Samsung) is not working and has been taken out.
- Pls use latest Magisk version (v17.x) - on earlier versions you may get bootloop. (maybe it's booting twice - don't panic)
Camera:
- Google Camera app is not working correctly - and is not tested ! -> Pls do not install yet !
- Normally if you install Google Camera app via gapps you remove the built-in camera app - pls take care yourself !
- The Lineage built-in Camera app works fine - except for rear camera video recoding. (720p)
- OpenCamera app works fine too - also no rear camera video recoding.
- Footej Camera app works fine too - rear camera video recoding is working in this app too !

Thanks for job. Mobile data working in this build? Who know?
If i reboot it gets the black screen even without magisk installed. Not sure why this is happening.
Updated to latest version ( flash zip/wipe) without problems on t580.
Microsoft remote desktop app is starting now (used to force close) but when i connect to my laptop app closes, binance app used to force close as well but is running now! Keep up the good work!
Is auto rotate still messed? Last version auto rotate screen would turned black for a second then was normal and can you remove Google bar from home..things like this drive me up the wall. Still on RR 6.2.1 no reason to update.
Reset it 3 more times and it finally started working, not sure what was wrong. Also is the notifications being misaligned a lineage bug or can this be fixed in a future update.

I was getting this too until I wiped it a few times more and it suddenly worked (only system and data)
After a few tries, the following worked for me:
Wipe all; install Linage 16 32bit and opengapps 32bit; after booting System reboot and install Magisk 17.2; wipe Davlik/Cache an boot System

Well... It is still possible. Galaxy SII running Android 11! I could have made this port sooner, but the lack of time stalled a bit. Thanks to @ChronoMonochrome who ported LOS 18.0 for S3 couple months ago still using kernel 3.0.101 (or optionally 3.4) it should also be possible to build it for S2. Building for i9100 isn't straight forward because of the major changes in the image creation routines (creating boot.img, etc for the installable zip). And the GCC compiler support of Kernel 3.0.101 is removed. After resolving these issues I got my first flashable zip! Then I needed to get manifest.xml properly. Thanks to Shivaay who helped me and I got it finally booting! It was horribly slow because of some internal changes in LMKD which our kernel doesn't support some features. The Settings-app crashes immediately leaving me unable to investigate. After reverting some patches in LMKD and things in framework/base it started to run like Android 10. I addressed the HAL's and got almost everything working in this ROM. Of course it isn't perfect and there will be bugs or instability. I'm no Samsung, just a DIY
For these builds you NEED ISOlated-RECovery because I had to eliminate the embedded (.cpio) ramdisk-images in zImage.
Upgrade from Samsung stock ROM using ODIN 3.07

3. Connect your phone via USB to your PC.
4. Press volume up on your phone, ODIN should detect your phone.
5. In ODIN:
Auto Reboot : unchecked
Re-Partition: checked

PDA : i9100-LOS-16.0-Emulated-Storage-TWRP-3.3.1-1.tar.md5
6. Press Start.
7. After succesful flash, reboot phone into Recovery:

The phone shuts down.
- Repeat Press Volume up + Power/Standby + Home and hold for 10 seconds
Phone boots in recovery TWRP 3.3.1-1.
8. Swipe to Allow Modifications
9. In TWRP 3.3.1-1 you need to format partions
- Wipe -> Format Data -> Type [yes]
- Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select:
* Davik / ART Cache
* Cache
* System
* Non-emulated Storage
-> Swipe to Wipe
10. Install LOS-18 ( + optionally Gapps or MicroG)
To prevent "Uncryption unsuccessful" error of GAPPS at first start:
- Reboot to recovery and Wipe -> Format Data -> Type [yes] again
11. Boot System
DON'T INSTALL TWRP APP. This will cause bootloop!
12. For MicroG users:
You need manualy grant permissions via ADB to get things working properly.
These are the commands:
adb shell pm grant com.android.vending android.permission.FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE

Don't know but I don't expect problems. My test/dev device has twrp 3.3.1-1.

I have done clean flash the subj . After a day of experiments I would like to report that I absolutely could not make a call ( see attached log of one of call ) , however I can receive call and speak well. Some suddenly reboots during a day looks ok for first build. Thank for your work. Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback. I also experienced sudden reboots and after 12 hours the phone doesn't wake up. I didn't test making a call, only receiving calls and sms. I updated the OP.

Can someone tell me how to get into recovery mode?
In the restart menu there is the recovery button -> restarting to recovery mode but the device starts and switches off.
With volume up + home + power button I get back to the home screen ??
What does this mean "Serial console enabled. Performance will be affected. Check bootloader".

10. Install LOS-18 ( + optionally Gapps or MicroG)
To prevent "Uncryption unsuccessful" error of GAPPS at first start:
- Reboot to recovery and Wipe -> Format Data -> Type [yes] again
11. Boot System
DON'T INSTALL TWRP APP. This will cause bootloop!
12. For MicroG users:
You need manualy grant permissions via ADB to get things working properly.
These are the commands:
adb shell pm grant com.android.vending android.permission.FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE

Heya! i'd like to report a slight issue with the screen
No idea if this has to do with the HW.
When i wake my S2 it flashes white on screen once and then it turns the screen on to the lockscreen.
This sometimes causes the s2 to freeze or crash.
I even had it hard crash with a loud noise once with this issue.
(This issue i even had on your android 10 ROM)
If this is a HW issue. Anything i can do to fix it?

Hello. Merry Xmas!
I happen to have this particular phone lying around and I wanted to try this out.
So I have followed the instructions and everything seems to be ok to this point:

Can anyone explain how to install LOS-18 or point me to somewhere where I can find this information?
What I have tried is copying to an SD card and insert into phone, then boot to TWRP and Install -> Select the zip file from sd card and then swipe to install, but that gives me the following message:
Zip file is corrupt!
Error installing zip file '/sdcard1/lineage-18.0-20201207-UNOFFICIAL-i9100.zip'

- uninstallaed riru module and USNF (riru version)
- unhide magisk app
- update magisk app (23 > 24.1)
- update magisk (direct install) and reboot
- hide magisk app
- patched latest AP and flashed with BL/CP/HOME_CSC
- enabled zygisk and added previuos magisk hide apps to denylist
- installed USNF (2.2.1 zygisk version) and reboot

This rom is soo good, thanks raptor!
This ROM is beautiful (Talking about S22 port). I'm a developer and test apps on A20, would it be possible if you add KLMS and other Knox Related stock apps please? I need knox license activation only. (I know rooting breaks knox but the KLMS agent etc they do work while being rooted. I'm using all of that stuff on my rooted S21 FE and they work fine).
Edit: As my S21 FE is also Android 13, I will try to copy all Knox related stuff into this and check !

Thanks for quick reply. I'd prepare the list.
For now, I've manually copied the files as I said and it worked but when I restarted the phone. It locked me "Phone Locked, Authorization needed" and there was no way out.
I've wiped everything again and flashed again (this time with my original CSC because I think that could have caused that).
I'll get back to you after checking out everything.

It's strange that flashing a different CSC locks the phone.
Anyways, The required files are the folders names as KLMSAgent, KnoxCore, KnoxPushManager,knoxvpnproxyhandler and KPECore.
They should be at /system/priv-app/
For now, I've made it work. But it'd be lovely if you include them in next update.

The required files are now optional in aroma. Selecting the option will remove the knox apps.
Please do notify me about your experience.

Stock Radio is not available in this version due S22 not supporting it.
btw Radio is available in a51 and m12 oneui5 port. Currently only at telegram for beta testing

I would add those but they make the system less responsive on this low end device. Also a hassle to provide security updates.

Dirty Flash should be possible, but do a clean flash if you face bugs.
