About Derpfest
Derpfest is heavily moded stock android. still work in progress but enough stable for daily use.
How To Install:
+ if you are coming from OOS 11 then may need to wipe your data as well as internal storage due to encrypted data but if you had any custom ROM (Android 12) before then just wipe data(Sometimes dirtyflash works, But don't complaint any bug if you did so. You might face FC for some apps.). No need to wipe internal storage.
1: Flash ROM
2: Flash TWRP installer (TWRP not included)
3: reboot again to recovery to boot from second slot.
5: Flash magisk (Android11-V2)
6: wipe dalvik cache and reboot to system.
That's all.
Device-specific features:
All device specific features for OnePlus are working (Alest slider, gestures, Etc..)
ROM is stable enough for daily use.
Selinux is enforcing.
What's broken?
OOS Cam Portrait
Device pick up gesture.
More you tell me!

Good work

ROM is very stable and I'm getting around 6 hours SOT, which is same or slightly less than what I was getting on OOS11
Directly flashing the zip didn't work as it showed an error "Package is for OnePlus7, guacamoleb but expected guacamoleb"
Had to flash all partitions individually
Not sure how will I update it when an update comes?
Updater shows an error

Is your system clock set properly? Your screenshot says the update was checked for on Jan. 1 1970, that could be the issue.

Just checked, Date and time are correct. Updater is buggy, as also confirmed by derpfest telegram chat. Others are also facing this issue
The 1970 thing is also reported by multiple people on the telegram group

Skip the setup page in the startup wizard, register fingerprints from settings once you're booted up. If it still doesn't work, reboot and try again.

When will be the stable version released?

Backing up from this Pixel is free and unlimited. KOSP has it as the ROM gets recognised as a Pixel. Please answer, Does Derpfest has it?

KOSP ROM and Pixel Experience has unlimited Google Photos backup in original quality. I have had already backup 2 GB of photos and videos and not a bit has counted against 15 GB data limit. It is very possible and already have Magisk module for that and you can confirm that in KOSP Telegram group.
Now if you please share a screenshot of Google photos storage limitation if you are on Derpfest.

I tested it. Uploaded 11 GBs of movies and not a bit was counted. SO YES! It works! No need to install Magisk.

Where do we get our updates from

Can anyone confirm?
Does pixel exclusive features like magic eraser in Google Photos and now playing available in this ROM?

First of all, amazing ROM! Moved from KOSP and I'm loving it.
I had a question though. OTA updates are taking a lot of time to install (not download) and reboot compared to previous roms I have used. Is this something that has to do with my phone partition or file system format? Or its just the way DerpFest ROM packages work? The reason I asked is, after flashing this ROM and everything looked fine, I woke up next day seeing Qualcomm crash dump mode on my phone. But a fastboot and reboot fixed it for me.

I don't have very much experience myself but I think it happens when rom/ recovery is installed in one slot, either a or b. There is a zip file, you can find on XDA or google, to copy partitions in both slots. Flashing that will solve the crashdump issue.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock android for your device.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. If you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Wiki for more details.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. If you use twrp it will ask if you want to install the twrp app. Make sure you tap "DO NOT INSTALL".
2. If you care about your stuff, make a backup in TWRP first, just in case. Transfer it to a pc, along with all your stuff in internal storage.
3. The newest vendor, radio, & bootloader img's are included in the rom zip, so no need to worry about flashing those manually.
4. Lineage comes with adb root that you can enable in developer options, but if you want root for apps, flash magisk in recovery (after renaming magisk.apk to magisk.zip). Just don't flash it during initial lineage install, as it's known to cause bootloop if you do.
Downloads:
marlin rom: https://download.lineageos.org/marlin
sailfish rom: https://download.lineageos.org/sailfish
gapps: (gapps are optional) link WARNING: Only use nano or pico because the system partition is too small on our device.
google fi gapps addon: if your carrier is Google Fi, flash this zip right after flashing the gapps zip. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682871038
Instructions:
FOR INITIAL INSTALL
marlin: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/marlin/install
sailfish: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/sailfish/install
FOR UPDATING
For normal updating from official 17.1 to a newer official 17.1, follow these steps:
marlin: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/marlin/update
sailfish: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/sailfish/update
Protip: Enable "Prioritize update process" in the Updater preferences to make it go faster
NOTE: If you're updating from my unofficial build to the official nightlies, follow steps here.
Alternative manual updating instructions:
1. boot into lineage recovery.
2. install rom zip.
3. if you use gapps or magisk, select the "reboot into recovery" option, then install those zips.

An easy fix, for anyone with the gmail issue, you just have to go to settings->apps->gmail->permissions, and allow permissions to contacts and calendar.
EDIT: I'll try to figure out the issue of why gmail is not being granting permissions automatically, like it should.
But in the meantime, i'll just include gmail in my builds. That way it has that right permissions and just works like it should. If you don't want the app, you can just go to settings and disable it.
EDIT#2: New builds are available in first post. One notable feature that was added is, network traffic monitor in statusbar. :good:
Note: I don't have a sailfish so that build is untested, but it should work fine. Please someone give it a try and let us know if it's ok. Confirmed, it's working good on sailfish too.

ikr, it was read only on the stock rom, immediately went back to Los16 lol
so, it seems as if there are no real game-breaking issues out of the gate?? I'm looking forward to trying this later but was holding off for some more feedback, so far it seems to be pretty positive... one (stupid) question... After flashing this can you easily just flash back to a PIE rom if need be, or once you go Android 10 you can't go back?
yes you can

yep, i did it the other day. went from lineage 17 to 16, with just a data wipe. no issues.
So device personalization services app kept crashing so I uninstalled it
also trying to enable black theme in settings makes settings app crash
Also had the Gmail permission bug thanks for posting the fix ?
Also why was twrp overwritten by stock Google recovery ?
I didn't see a warning about that anywhere in op
Note I did a clean install wiped all partitions but internal storage in twrp 3.3.0.0 before flashing rom and then magisk zip

Dolby missing?
Hi bro. I just installed this rom. It's really good. But, in youtube videos, I saw that this rom has Dolby pre installed.
But, I don't see it on my phone. I clean flashed the latest build.
Is it removed now? Or am I doing something wrong?
Magisk installation
Hello and kudos for your great job.
It's been a while since I last got involved with android and I find it difficult to get Magisk on this rom. Could you provide an easy way to do it?
I tried patching a boot.img and then installing through fastboot (recoveries just cannot mount the internal storage), but this does not seem to work. It finishes the command without error but there is no root support on boot.
Thanks in advance

dolby seems to have been removed in latest build. I also cannot find it
Dolby didn't work anyway when it was there
Can we expect AOSPA app lock in upcoming builds??
This ROM is lovely, but I have a few issues to report on my Joyeuse device.
1. The latest 04/12 OTA update fails to install/flash with TWRP reporting an error with: "@/cache/recovery/block.map"
2. As of the 03/12 OTA update, Magisk patched boot images don't seem to work and result in never ending boots. Flashing stock boot image in fastboot fixes this issue, but then I have no root.
3. Toggling the SELinux option in the Xiaomi Parts just kicks you back to the main settings page without enabling SELinux enforcing.
4. Not an issue, but the Quick Unlock feature is missing from this ROM. Even though it's small and simple, it's makes a large difference in day-to-day usage and feels strange after coming from other ROMs with this feature included. Would be amazing if this was added in a future update.
Other than the above, this ROM works a treat and runs beautifully. Thanks for your hard work.
Latest 05/12 OTA update also fails to install with the same error in TWRP as above.
Edit: I'll be switching to another ROM for the time being as root/Magisk is essential to me.

I have used arrow in the previous build. Magisk 21 works just fine. Flashed it via PBRP.
I like it because it is updated frequently and is stable.
I'm using gesture navigation.
When the screen rotates, the navigation bar does not move to the bottom of the screen, and some touches may not respond.
In that case, it will be solved if you return after displaying the app history.
on gapps Ver.
If I am using double tap wake up and sleep function even though with my screen pattern lock+ Finger print,It bypasses and automatically opens up .Even after manually clicking on the power button to sleep and wake up again doesn't work. Shortly I mean: Screen lock disappears and directly pops up into the menu.

Use magisk V21.0 .I am using the same to root
Update: after a day use.while using browser.Phone automatically Rebooted itself.Dont know why
1. My advice: Do not use OTA update. Causes a bootloop.
Edit: With OrangeFox Recovery OTA updating works flawlessly. Repatch Magisk afterwards.
2. If Magisk Hide is enabled, there is a signature error (ro.build.type set to "user"). With it disabled my banking app does not work, but signature errors are gone. It would be great if you could fix the signature error, @SonalSingh18
Edit: Came to the workaround by this old thread [CLOSED] [OUTDATED] Magisk and MagiskHide installation and troubleshooting | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)

You might have to be using the android 10 vendors, flashed successfully with them
So far the only issue that I found is that the backups are not working, you can backup data to your google account, but you CAN'T restore data.
EDIT: The problem that I am having is that this is not in the rom, i can't restore my backup from google, you can use other apps and methods to restore your data though.

I successfully restored apps from google backup on my account, also used Migrate flasher and helper for the data. Only problems I ran into were flashing GApps, didn't work for me. Kept saying there was insufficient system storage when I flashed full, just let it run and installed gboard manually then set up phone

Aaah yes, I flashed core fine but felt the need to mess about with it lol. Ended up flashing part of stock, just the issue is it tries to replace AOSP keyboard with gboard but it doesn't install gboard from the flash, so you have to skip the set-up, move gboard to your phone, install and then you can set-up

Second is probably project Sakura, third is ArrowOS if BT audio gets fixed, fourth is Pixel Experience and last is Lineage. Lineage had pretty bad stability on snapchat and overall I find CRDroid the best.

Seems to be working fine except for Moto Actions fails to work for Fingerprint Sensor Navigation on the XT1925-6 handset.
Also, congrats on getting this and ColtOS made official for this device.
Same here, fingerprint navigation is dysfunctional. Besides that it runs very nicely.
Legit rom - I don't use the fingerprint thing so no comment on that. Super smooth and battery gives me 29 hours+...great work!

I'm sorry I saw this an hour later, as we are just days away from the September security patch coming out, and hence a new version (7.10 ? maybe) so I would wait to perform this "fix" and not spam the channel. ROM release

Press and hold the update in updater and tap export. The zip will be in /sdcard/android/data/com.crdroid.updater/files
You can dirty flash it, meaning you don't have to factory reset. After installing just wipe cache and dalvik (which TWRP will have a button for) and reboot.
To the dev: the automatic update script fails with an error in @/cache/?????/recovery.blockMap
(Where ????? is unknown)

Thanks! Now, to me, it's as perfect as the 7.9 build right before it went official. Flawless, imho.

It really is the perfect layout for our phone whereas TWRP is better suited for smaller screens, imho.
I switched to this ROM from ColtOS and was very pleasantly surprised.
The ROM is 99% in Polish and that's what it was about!
Great job! Thank you for this ROM!
Dirty flashed 7.10 but no issues (crossing my fingers lol) - battery life has improved. My showing standby use to be about 60 hours at 100% for my configuration, now showing more like 80.
For daily usage though I'm getting 3.5 SoT and a good 30 hours use all in, most days. It's legit.
Today is my second day on this rom and it work's great for now. I came from stock 9.0 and it seems to be even faster and more stable than stock one. I think it'll be my daily driver from now.
Here's what I've tested so far:
navigation with home button
NFC
WiFi hotspot
BT audio
face unlock
fingerprint unlock
notification with LED (the smaller one)
and many more. No issues!
I'm missing only one feature from stock rom - waking up device with home button, when there is a fingerprint unlock used. It's possible to wake up only with correct fingerprint (as I've read in Moto Actions settings).
Thank you and keep it up @brunogroa !
I'm experiencing an issue where I can't set custom wallpapers (which are larger than the device?). Builtin wallpapers are not affected. The Styles & Wallpapers app crashes and then restarts upon loading the preview.

Root phone with magisk And use Swift backup. Must set backup everything in Swift.
Hello,
Post in thread 'MAGISK MODULE ❯ Universal SafetyNet Fix 2.4.0' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/magisk-module-universal-safetynet-fix-2-4-0.4217823/post-88132825
This fork of module "SafetyNet Fix" working for the CTS Profile match (Play Protect Certified Android devices).
Where do I find latest Dynamic TWRP, I got BRPv3.6-Red-twrp.zip from RedmiNote8ProUpdates Telegram link, is that TWRP build ok? Can't find anything when looking for "Dynamic TWRP".
Installed this rom yesterday the way the ts suggested, works great, Battery drain seems gone, flashed it over pixel experience recovery which can be downloaded at the latest official rom on pixel experience site.
Now i want to switch to dynamic twrp because i want to root for making Swift backups
Hooe the ts will continue his good work in the future, my note 8 still rocks
This rom works like a dream on my RN8 Pro! I can hardly believe that they don't want to develop further here. I've used the version here for a few days now and it runs so smooth and I couldn't find any major issues. Runs better than MIUI ever ran for me. I hope you will continue to release updates, because it would be really damn bitter if nobody would support the RN8 anymore. I still think the hardware is really good. There is no reason for me to switch at the moment.
Sorry if I misunderstand, but is this version identical to the final official version of PixelExperience (plus) for Begonia?
Hello guys ,after i download the latest rom i cant locate it in TWRP to flash .Thanks!
Friends passing by to let you know that I installed this unofficial version over the last official one and it worked, no BUG found so far, if any BUG occurs I'll report it to you. Always remembering, install on top at your own risk, as a clean install is always recommended!

I use the official PE recovery and install every zip by sideload method.
In your case, just flash Magisk zip by sideload and it will be root
