Question Installing ROMs WITHOUT TWRP? - Xiaomi Mi 11i / 11X Pro / Redmi K40 Pro+

TWRP or PBRP will disable the screen touches. My touch modules are not functional and, on any recovery, screen will never detect taps, meaning it's unusable. I left it idle literally over an hour and it still doesn't load. Plugging a mouse via USB adapter also won't work. This means it's absolutely impossible for me to use both recoveries. If I want to install unofficial LineageOS, is there any way to do it without either TWRP and PBRP? Or better:
Is it possible to install ROMs without having to touch the screen at all in the entire process?
Many thanks.

Use ADB.
Lookup ADB commands for TWRP recovery.

i've installed pixel experience on my 11x pro and the recovery they provide for the installation doesn't require your touch module to work.

TWRP Recovery for MT6580 (MT8752)

Hello
i tried many times Easy Magic TWRP installer/Easy Magic PhilZ Touch installer both, auto & manual both not working, on auto when it near to finish my tablet auto disconnected from pc & Easy Magic PhilZ Touch installer says port successfully but on recovery mood same old stock recovery, when i try to do manual it gave error in the last, Aborting, Ported recovery.img is too large & causes region overlap! i tried to use 7mb partition way to fix it but no success.
my tablet is some chinese unknown company tablet with mt6580 (MT8752) chipset & running android lollipop 5.1, i already rooted just want to install custom recovery, any help will be highly appreciated.
Regards
Edit: I ported TWRP successfully, i used google nexus 7 2012 tablet TWRP 3.0.2.0 to port , now everything working fine but the screen is flipped, I mean the TWRP screen showing menu & buttons etc on portrait but the touches input act like the TWRP screen is landscape which is a headache! so can you please help me what need to do to fix this issue.
Thanks
Regards,

Very slow boot up..

My device is a kenzo 3gb 32gb and I face extremely long boot times just because the phone is stuck on mi logo for at least 30secs before starting the os boot animation.. Also after flashing open gapps latest I lost the ability to reboot to recovery and even i cant power off my phone until I go to twrp also third party apps don't reboot the phone to recovery. (Btw i am on omni homemade 8.1 oreo with shadow kernel and reboot to recovery and power off just worked fine without gapps installed)
Can anybody suggest me a fix or workaround for these annoying things I really don't like it.
Thanks in advance.
Those are shadow kernel bugs, change your kernel.

Redmi Note4x ebbg touchscreen TWRP failing to display on screen

So this old thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/help/strange-problem-black-screen-redmi-note-t3716706
used to work for me. I downloaded the v17 twrp given by highwaystar_ru, and flashed it via adb, rebooting to bootloader, then fastboot flash recovery twrp.img, then rebooting via power+vol up buttons.
However it is no longer working - there is no visual display.
adb devices detects the device in recovery mode
Touching my finger randomly on the screen, it vibrates. I verified that this actually still 'works' on the TWRP menu, so it's definitely the fault of TWRP just not displaying on my screen.
The official TWRP download does not seem to work either.
Any advice and experience is welcome, thanks
Hey can you try these TWRP and tell me if the problem persists:
Dark Recovery Project:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=746163614322262912
Redwolf Recovery Project:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...t/recovery-red-wolf-recovery-project-t3653704
Twrp Exclusive:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939833541
Twrp exclusive(this might work for your black screen its for ebbg display so try it as well):
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962187416754473934
If the problem still persists then idk try restoring your phone to stock by Mi kdz files by following this guide if you dont know:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/guide-revive-redmi-note-4x-codename-t3703365
It says bricked but you can use it aswell, and try repeating the proccess of unlocking bootloader(now you can unlock it whenever you want because xiaomi has already given you the permission) and flashing a twrp again.
Hopefully i helped
Flashing all four of those links with fastboot flash recovery, then leaving the phone plugged in and pressing key combination to get back to recovery, do not work.
I have since fixed it. Not sure why it wasn't working, but here were my steps:
Install MiFlash tool.
Go to bootloader/fastboot mode on phone.
Flash an 8.1.11 ROM.
Then everything works from there, and can reinstall the v17 ebbg TWRP as usual.

Dirty Flash wiped TWRP from LG-H932. Unable to get TWRP back on.

Hello One and All,
Apologizes if this is in the wrong section. As the post stated, i did a dirty flash of a rom on-top of itself (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/stock-t-mobile-lg-v30-stock-collection-t3980701) to force the kernel to change. This, somehow, removed TWRP from the recovery (even tho the rom said that it wouldn't touch the recovery) so now when i do the button dance, it master resets the phone instead of going into TWRP. Phone still has the bootloader unlocked, but download mode will load, sit for a moment, then restart. 3 computers, running Win10, and FWUL bootable USB doesn't recognize the download mode, also tried different USB cables.
Attempted to use LGUP to essentially follow the rooting process from start to finish, but once the LGUP attempts to load the 10D.kdz onto the phone, the phone just reboots and LGUP does nothing but complain about connectivity to the phone.
Anyone have any suggestions or am I SOL? At least my phone still functions, it's just in the odd middle ground of not having root, but some applications wont work because it thinks it's rooted (Google Pay NFC).

Need help with twrp on Tab A 10.1 2016

Hi
I'm using the P858Y version of this device
And i simply can't get twrp working on it
What i've done:
- Enable OEM - USB debug
- Get to download mode
- Untick auto reboot on Odin
- Flash TWRP with Odin: So far, every version from 3.0 - 3.7 of the device on twrp website
Everytime i tries to boot to twrp, it just get black screen with backlight still lit, the twrp seem working cause i can swipe or touch the screen and it vibrate, but can't see anything
And i have to flash back to stock rom in order to get back to normal
- I've tried to use adb to control twrp with the back screen but the internal storage doesn't show up on my pc, simply can't flash anything with adb
Device on stock rom is normal, the screen, Touch screen is normal aswell
I don't know what i did wrong in the process
Any idea how i can get custom rom to work on this device
Don't know if anyone has experience this problem.
Every help i can get is appreciated

Hello friend! I'm a noob and can't help you (yet), but someday maybe I can help you.
for now I recommend looking for some twrp here that has been made for your model specifically (in this case the Tab A 10.1 2016)
if you've already done that and didn't find any related post, maybe we just have to wait for someone less noob to help us.
I also have a problem related to the SM T113NU tablet. I tried using Odin 3.13.1 and TWRP 3.0.2 but I was unsuccessful. Simply when I try to access the TWRP menu only the factory menu appears.
I wish you success and that you manage to resolve the issue.
