* We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone by installing custom ROMs/kernels.
* You do it at your own risk. You take responsibility upon yourself and are not to blame us or XDA.
* Your warranty will likely be voided by installing custom ROMs.

I also maintain the same build for the S9 (starlte) and S9+ (star2lte) on XDA here. I plan to continue kernel patching support, feature additions, and security updates for the Note 9 (crownlte) as I have been doing already for the S9 and S9+.
Have a great day!

so its support signature spoof by default?

I am not clear about the following steps:
Install microG services core (F-Droid)
Install microG services framework proxy (F-Droid)
Can u kindly guide me on the exact files to be downloaded and how to install them?

The first thing you need to do is install the F-Droid store from the official source: https://f-droid.org/
Then you need to add the microg repository in F-Droid per the official instruction: https://microg.org/fdroid.html
Then, you need to click on the links on your Note 9 with F-Droid installed, and those magnet links will open F-Droid and bring you to the proper package for installation.

FYI new update includes:
Kernel update 4.9.299 -> 4.9.300
Now available via OTA or OP.

Is microG services required and Is this done after you install the phone and restart it?

MicroG is not required, but the ROM supports it if you want to install it.
If you want it, you need to install it after the ROM is installed.

Thanks. Is baseband updating just for backing up your stock firmware in case you want to reinstall it?

Good question! Baseband updating is flashing new drivers (closed source from Samsung) for your cell phone modem. It usually results in better efficiency and signal status, but is not required.

Hi.
Can I dirty flash this rom over my current unofficial Lineage OS 18.1 rom which is from another maintainer. (This one, https://forum.xda-developers.com/m/synt4x-93.7861769/)
He hasn't updated it for a year now.
If not, can I still use the twrp recovery or is lineage recovery a must now?
Thanks for your work.

GAPPS: DOWNLOAD GAPPS
First time installing crDroid to your Moto G4 Play, or coming from another ROM: <--THESE MAY NEED UPDATING FOR YOUR PARTICULAR DEVICE; BE THOROUGH IN INSTRUCTIONS-->
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data.
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
None ATM, tag me and include logs if you see any.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel

The AospExtended team did not respond to my official request or pm asking for official status. I have no idea why. Perhaps if members ask for it as well, they will be more likely to grant official status. Feel free to lobby them for me. Also, please discuss AEX related things on the AEX forum post I have created.
I plan to skip to AospExtended 6.7 as I have not had much time latly.

SELinux is currently enforcing. You can set it to permissive by typing in:
Code:
setenforce 0
into an android terminal or flashing a permissive patcher. I use Google Drive because I like it and I have unlimited storage space.

Signature Spoofing and Root ADB
HI all,
Do this build have signature spoofing disabled? In CRdroid there used to be a switch to enable signature spoofing and afaik there is a patch on upstream that suggest the signature spoofing is enabled by default:
hXXps://github.com/crdroidandroid/android_packages_apps_crDroidSettings/commit/fe45b12172edf660533f57fc36c7d01e9f0bf0c4
I've tested and seems is disabled, so I'm not sure if there was a patch on this specific build to disable it. I would like to use MicroG on this ROM , and as Xposed is not yet available for pie...
BTW, is it not possible to access ADB as root on this room ?
# adb root
adbd cannot run as root in production builds

Your commit link doesn't work, so I can't help you with that until you fix the link. As for adb root, it does not work in "userdebug" flavored builds. It is customary to build "userdebug." If you want root, try using Magisk.
You can read more about build flavors here:
https://source.android.com/setup/develop/new-device#build-variants
Works ok on a XT1607 (2GB of RAM), however is a little laggy. I ran antutu benchmark in this rom, here's a little video i made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loiqq8OBpzY
HI all,
I see my last post was a bit missunderstood.
In CRdroid there used to be a switch to enable signature spoofing and afaik there is a patch on upstream that suggest the signature spoofing is enabled by default:
hXXps://github.com/crdroidandroid/android_packages_apps_crDroidSettings/commit/fe45b12172edf660533f57fc36c7d01e9f0bf0c4
(Please, notice XX on the url. I cant post URLs, so please replace hXXps with https)
Anyway, on this build the singature spoofing is disabled. I would like to use MicroG on this ROM, and signature spoofing is important as I would like to avoid installing Google Apps.
Apart of this, I'm used to use ADB as root on LineageOS and other rooms. In this rom looks is not enabled. I have of course rooted the phone with magisk and I have set on the options "SuperUser access: Apps and ADB".
I can use applications as root, but when I try to connect via ADB as superuser I get this error:
# adb root
adbd cannot run as root in production builds[/QUOTE]
Is there something missing on this build ?

Hi, this rom is almost perfect. I'm coming from Aex both of those roms are the best rom.
But this rom app launch time is very poor than aex. Whatsapp and facebook takes very long to launch. Please fix it. Also please update Aex rom too. Thanx

LineageOS With MicroG
With the rise of Big Tech and the encroachment of government on our lives, I felt more of a desire to move away from Google and the like. oneplus one was built with microG and LineageOS source and is fully functional.
What it is. It's LineageOS with all of Google's closed-source binaries removed and replaced with microG. I.e. no Play services or GAPPS. UnifiedNLP is used as the networking location provider instead of Google's NLP. Aurora Store and Aurora Droid is installed by default and provides an alternative app store. However, with the Aurora Store, you cannot install all Google Play Store apps such as buy apps. F-Droid can be installed through Aurora Droid if you need it .
Other information Google Play Store Alternative If you want to have full access to normal Android Play Store apps, After opening Aurora Store, select the appropriate option. usually option number 1 is the most commonly used with this ROM, unless changed by the user. After setup, you will have access to all apps as usual. Some apps require Play Services and cannot be used.
After installation - Open the microG app --> self-check sections should be successful. Location Services - By default, LocalGsmNlpBackend, which uses the NominatimGeocoderBackend, and NominatimNlpBackend, which uses Mapquest's Noninatim service, are disabled. Open the microG app --> location modules and enable the modules you want. Then restart the device.
It is strongly advised not to install GApps as this ROM includes a replacement for them.
All the source code for LineageOS 17.1 is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
LineageOS 17.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android10.0 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Hello
Sorry, there may be errors in the text, I'm sitting with a translator
In the following builds, please to add the full notification indicator settings, and the inclusion of on-screen buttons. In other assemblies, this is, so I think that it will not be difficult. Thank you for your work.

I want to suggest: add the microg by default in this build. you can consider: https://download.lineage.microg.org/bacon/ which it an official release that has built-in microg without any issue but I don't know why it's discontinued!
Because microg does not work properly in lineageos 17.1.
I am just testing with my Samsung S7 and lineageos 17.1 with microg, if it works I will also create a build with microg for the Bacon oneplus.

It works, I'm using it but with Magisk module: https://github.com/FriendlyNeighborhoodShane/MinMicroG_releases/releases
On android 10 the microg has famous issue permission.ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION:
https://www.reddit.com/r/MicroG/comments/f66d9c/network_location_unifiednlp_in_android_10_q/
anyway I prefer microg as built-in as system wide, so I'll so appreciate if you release it.

Well, we're finally getting some relatively stable builds of AOSP GSIs and OpenGApps for Android 11.0, so here's my first effort at migrating the Nexus Stock custom ROM for the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.0 [SM-T510] to the latest Android OS release. It's very much a work in progress, but it should hopefully help blaze the trail for even better work.
Notes:
The current process may require you to reset to factory defaults to remove file-based encryption. Remember to backup your data!
Custom kernels are specific to OEM releases, and are generally based on the latest update for the SM-T510. Note that the bootloader in this release has roll-back prevention.
The system is based on eremitein's CAOS GSI project with the latest Stock variant from OpenGApps.
Boot logo and default wallpaper is from my Nexus series of custom ROMs for Android TV, and I'm using the Pixel boot animation with black background.
Stock recovery will be replaced with my latest TWRP build for the SM-T510.
I've dialed back most of scary bootloader warnings and Knox Security branding from the boot sequence.
The properties now correctly identify the device as a tablet, and so the Google Dialer is no longer installed. I've also disabled the Emergency button, but SetupWizard still insists on reminding you to insert a SIM (sigh!).
This is unofficial and unsupported, so the usual caveats apply. Since we don't flash the bootloader, you should be able recover from any problems...but nothing is guaranteed.
Not working:
Support for file-based encryption
Cold charging (low power mode) animates to about 39% and then reboots.

I can't get Magisk 21.4 to work on this rom after updating with TWRP. I also tried to patch the boot.img with Magisk Manager.
Has someone else this working? I will temporary return to Android 10.

I haven't been able to root any ROM based on AOSP 11.0...even the S variants that include su , but I'm not really an expert on rooting.
Yep magisk not working for me also, thats a shame because it's quite smooth overall, hoping for it to work in the next updates
For my Samsung mobile device I see on the XDA forum that Magisk is included in the ROM and isn't allowed to updated when a new version is released, only the Magisk manager could be updated.
I am afraid that installing seperate as on Android 10 isn't possible anymore.

The problem with that is that there is no Magisk Manager in Play Store with this ROM.
edit: Something appears to be going on with Google and Magisk and it is NOT just with this ROM or even this device. Apparently Google has not only removed Magisk Manager from the Play Store but have done something to keep it from giving root privileges all together!!!
re-edit: I apologize. I panicked. The problem appears to be with this device and the latest version of Magisk and with this ROM and Magisk. I can get version 20.4 to work with other ROMs, but it hangs with this one.
- scratched -
If anyone finds a version of Magisk that works with this ROM, please post it. I've tried V20.4, which causes a hang during boot, and V21.4, and 21.2, which boot but don't work.

Magisk V20.4 isn't for Android 11+. Therefor you have to install V21, but unfortunately is this not working.

maybe there a bug with Wifi and connections with WPA3 (with PMF), only WPA2 is working here.
But this is a weak statement, cause I'm running a Beta FW on my Router (FB 7590) with some wifi bugs in the past. - I mean my Galaxy S4 with LOS 18.1 hadn't that - I'm not sure -
- EDIT-
Release Router FW arrived today: same result.
2)
my arranged apps/icons in the bottom line are resetted to the default google after an reboot.
whereby:
removing some google apps out of the bottom line will survive a reboot, all other arrangements won't.
e.g. I removed nearly all google apps and left only the outer left and right (see the above 1st screenshot) and dropped installed apps in the free place.
turns out: only the google apps (playstore + camera) are there after an reboot.
could someone check that ?

Sorry, I don't have a SM-T515 and it doesn't share the same kernel as the SM-T510. I've tried building ROMs blindly before, and you really can't do it without hardware for testing.
hi,
you wrote : "Ensure matching OEM build (e.g. T510XXU3BTK1) is installed"
My actual OEM is T510XXU4BUA1 which is newer than 510XXU3BTK1.
So each time i try to flash , I've got the message SYSTEM REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE : 4 BINARY : 3 (VENDOR).
I understand that i need to downgrade to T510XXU3BTK1. Is it possible to downgrade inside ANDROID 10 from an OEM 4 bits to an OEM 3 bits? How to do this?
Found the solution. Flash with heimdall orange fox recovery + multidisabler + RR custum ROM then full wipe + nexus custom ROM. All is working, good job, nice fast ROM.

LineageOS 18.1 (A11) microG For for S4 Mini GT-I9195(serranoltexx)
With the rise of Big Tech and the encroachment of government into our lives , I felt more of a desire to move away from Google and the like.
Samsung S4 Mini GT-I9195(serranoltexx) was built with microG and LineageOS source and is fully functional.
What it is. It's LineageOS with all of Google's closed-source binaries removed and replaced with microG. I.e. no Play services or GAPPS. UnifiedNLP is used as the networking location provider instead of Google's NLP. Aurora Store and F-Droid is installed by default and provides an alternative app store. However, with the Aurora Store, you cannot install all Google Play Store apps such as buy apps.
It is strongly recommended not to install Gapps as this ROM contains a replacement for Gapps

Yes I turned it on. It could just be my poor location and poor cell provider, will change it and see if anything changes. I'm just glad that at least Sims work in this ROM unlike the other one. Thanks for that!
i just tested waze app on my samsung s7 with microg and it works for me. but i registered with my private email address not with gmail as it does not work under microg.
I just installed AppleWifiNlpBackend and everything is working fine now

Download with OTA works so far, it boots into TWRP, but than i have to go File manager , data , lineage updates and select the file .

Or works that only with the newest TWRP 3.7.0.9 ?

Thx for the answer.
That means for using the OTA update we have to install to the latest TWRP Version.
Just flashed My Mini S4 with your LOSG 18 Rom , perfect so far !
Do you plan on becoming an official lineageos maintainer ?
This would change everything on the futur of this kind of phone which still works great !
No, I will not do this because the requirements for official support by the los team are not given.
What version of LineageOS is best for S4 mini? I now have 14.1-20180609 ( android 7.1.2) But for some reasons I now need a newer version of android.
I need a phone that works fine, it does not has to be the newest version.
Will my phone be slower with android 10 or 11 compared to 7? Or no different? Or is it some way to make it faster?
Does newer versions of android needs more memory than older versions?
Will my phone be better with 10 or 11 compared to 7?
Wow a new ROM for this great little phone, I hadn't noticed this thread.
Can it be dirty flashed over Arco's version so long as I update twrp?
[ROM][I9190/I9192/I9195/L520/R890][Unofficial][11.0.0] LineageOS 18.1 for S4 Mini
The phone that never dies, gets a new Android version yet again. Samsung only gave it Android 4. Lineage gives it Android 11. A whopping amount of 7 newer versions than the last official one it came with. This time I can present a usable build...

Imho it's not recommended as even if it works you can never be sure what causes problems if they arise.
Why don't you make a clean install and try to restore Data via TWRP (if you didn't flash Gapps in that ROM).
Gave this ROM a try.
Flashing clean, easy and fast 1st boot.
Installed some apps from SD and F-droid.
But from Aurora store I wasn't able to install Osmand what I need for cycling.
Tried several times but always got a parsing problem notice.
Was anybody able to install it?

You seem to have run into encryption issues.
Formatting is the best way to resolve that issue at the cost of loosing your data.
Id try to go back to the last known working state, boot up the system, take a backup externally and then reinstalling this rom, formatting the data partition and then restore the system.

I can't answer that as I have never used official lineageos your current rom is signed and mine and the signature of both roms are not identical.
If you use TWRP
Make a full backup of your current rom just to be sure.
You have to deactivate the signature check in TWRP if you want to install my rom.
But I am not 100% sure that it works,
You'll probably have to install clean.
Just test it out if it doesn't work you can restore your backup.
Or you can install clean and have to reinstall all apps via aurora store.
But please read my first post carefully first
Hi how can I use gapps on this I wanted to try repainted app as this rom dousnt have material u theming and the lockscreen clock feels a bit crocked
And the phone restarts suddenly
Animations are also jittery even when I put everything to 0.5x
Gapps on microg builds is really not a thing you should do.
Something might be crashing in the background
On the other hand the Moto G5 is weak and not really supposed to run those versions...
Will there be any bug fixes?
Network traffic monitor is not working.
.
Installation without problems, system runs smoothly. Issues: phone not encrypted, SELinux disabled.
Encryption should work, you can enable it in the security settings.
Note that you cant read your data in twrp once you do so.
