Some questions about T-REX PRO - Amazfit

Hi All,
I had a T-REX (non PRO) for 2 months and now I bought a T-REX PRO.
Other than a different UI and some more functions, I noticed two things:
- on the T-REX if I press the "BACK" button the screen turns off, if I press "BACK" on the T-REX PRO the app menu appears: is there a way to "program" the "BACK" button to turn off the screen?
- I often use the "countdown timer", on the T-REX the countdown keep running and the screen turns off after the "timeout screen" set and vibrates when the countdown reaches 0, on the T-REX PRO the screen stays on as long as the countdown runs: is there a way to turn off the screen while the countdown runs (as on the T-REX)?
Thank you, best regards.
Roberto

In both situations: cover watch screen with your other hand and it will turn off immediately. T-Rex Pro is more similar to Stratos 3 than to regular T-Rex and some handy features are known by people that used all those watches.

I tried but...it worked just one time out of 5 tests...the other 4 the screen simply dimmed but didn't turn off.

You have to get used to it, there is no other way.

Maybe I found the issue....I tried to disable AOD and the "trick" works, if I enable AOD sometimes it switch back to the AOD watchface (and the countdown still runs), most of the times the screen simply dims.

Amazfit GTR very sensitive, but no autolock

Hello, i have the Amazfit GTR now about a week and i am very happy with it.
But i do found that the touch screen is also reacting to touches from my shirt or other clothe parts.
I already have had several times that my screen changed to other 'pages' without me touching it. I did find the option to lock the screen, but that also is quick disabled when touching the button with my wrist movement or looking at incoming messages.
Does anyone know a way to lock the screen automatically after 30 seconds or some other value?
Can Tasker be used for this? I did not find an option for this though.
I use the Notify&Fitness app and not the Amazfit app or Mi Fit app.

Hello, i hope you found an answer, because i am also searching the same option since beginning of the year.
I also use the N&F app, but if needed, i am willing to change the app if it can do the job.
Tasker would also be a great option, but i have not found a solution for it.

Off screen during workout - T-rex

I trying to find the setting to turn off the screen while on running activity. I notice the screen is light on entire running activity until complete. I had already enable wrist lift option to turn on the screen when i need checking the running stats.
Anyway find the setting to turn it off or perhaps sleep mode. Thank you in advance.
There is no such option in Zepp application. I think there should be though, since having the screen on for ~2 hours is quite battery-consuming.
Yeh, that would be a nice option to have...
Yes hopefully they work on something with to turn off the screen. This version worst i compare to Amazfit Pace which have the easy lock function and the max heart rate alert.
But T-Rex really disappointed despite launched later time compare to Pace. First generation even better and seems T-Rex going backward.

Ticwatch Pro 3 forced go into dimming mode when I turn my arm away or take it down

Hi Guys,
I have the Ticwatch Pro 3 and it's great.
But I have a little problem. I love Always on Display (AOD) and in some situations I also like to set the display not to go into dimming mode via StayLit Wear with the "indefinitely" mode. This also worked great with my Huawei Watch 2, even when I put my arm down on the home screen, even if you can see the time normally. If I set the "indefinitely" mode with the StayLit Wear app on the Ticwatch Pro 3, it works that the Ticwatch Pro 3 always remains active, but only if, for example, I have the settings open or I am in the app selection and if an app is open even if I put my arm down. It also works on the home screen when I have my arm up all the time and look at the clock. But as soon as I'm on the homescreen and I turn my arm away or take it down, the watch always goes into dimming mode, despite the "indefinitely" mode of StayLit Wear.
That could actually only be due to the fact that Mobvoi has specified this in some system file for Wear OS, right?
Can I possibly edit the specific system file, or do something via ADB Shell so that I can set it so that the Ticwatch Pro 3 does not go into dimming mode as soon as I turn the arm away or take it down so that it is only time-controlled again is when the display goes into dimming mode and is not forced to dim when I turn my arm away or take it down?
Possibly for better understanding:
So it works with my Huawei Watch 2.
However, with the Huawei it is also the case that the change to the dimming mode does not happen automatically when I turn my arm away or take it down, but it is purely based on the set time of seconds until the display in the AOD is dimmed.
With the Ticwatch, however, this is set somewhere in such a way that the display not only goes into dimming mode based on the set seconds, but also presumably controlled by a sensor, from a certain angle regardless of the set seconds, immediately goes into dimming mode.
And I want to get rid of the sensor, that the dimming mode is forced and my question is whether someone knows where I can do that.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I know this is an old thread but did anyone find a solution for this ? I'm left handed so am using Lefty to flip the screen so I can wear it on my right wrist but if hold it too high and vertical it goes to sleep. I have to keep my arm somewhat flat and look over it I can't bring it to my face
Disable gestures?

Touch on Amazfit Bip U?

Hi, does touch works on this model? My screen wakeup only if I standup my arm or press phisic button. When screen goes black I can re-wakeup only within 10/15sec. After that time there is no chance, is it normal?
Ciao, nope. It's not a problem but would be very usefull, touch is more confortable than button. If you tap the screen and it lights up would be a good feature, don't you think? Mi Smart Band 6 has this feature and it's very usefull. Ciao!

Yeah, it would be much better for me, that's why I said it's a problem. Do you plan to buy Mi Smart Band 6 instead of Amazfit Bip U?

I've go 2 mi band 6, but its display it's too small for me, but it's very usefull feature. I hope support can update software with this feature. Ciao.
Sure, I think wouldn't be a problem. Just now if you see you can wakeup you amazfit by touch. Do this, push the button, wait for display goes sleeping off and retouch it immediatly. If you wait (after sleep) more than 3 secs it doesn't wake up anymore (you must use the button to light it), but if you touch it within 2-3 second after sleep off it wakes up. This is a sleep preprogrammed time off. So they can revert this parameter and rewrite its behaviour.

Amazfit GTR2 - 1km alert with vibration?!?!

When I go out for running the GTR2 does not vibrate for 1km marks.
During the run the watch shows the always on screen (only time info) and when a new km is completed the normal run activity monitoring screen (duration + distance + pace + HR) pops up, but there is no vibration feedback.
If I move the wrist to show the activity monitoring screen right before the km mark and keep it on then the watch vibrates on the km mark and shows a big info screen with the pace of the last km.
I made a test enabling the 20 minutes on screen menu setting before I start the run to keep showing the activity screen. Then I got vibration + big pace info screen for every km until the 20min on period expired. After that, the watch turned back to only showing the run activity screen without vibration.
I was using Amazfit Pace before and there I always got vibration + summary info for every km.
This is an important feature for runners.
Does anyone know how to setup the GTR2 watch to get the vibration + pace info screen for every km during an entire run?
Thanks in advance!
Here is an update.
I disabled the AOD (always on display) mode and went for a run and then I got the vibration alert + big pace info screen for every km mark.
It doesn't make sense to have to disable AOD every time before running to be able to get the expected km mark alert...
