We are very excited to announce the alpha of Paranoid Android Sapphire, based on Android 12.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.
You can donate to AOSPA or Jyotiraditya Panda (me)

I'm not exactly sure if you need this fix to pass the safety-net-check.
Here's what i do
1) Hide Magisk
2) Activate Zygisk
3) Configure Denylist and show system-apps
3) select Play-Services and Google Play Store (full bars on both)
4) wipe all data on google Play Store-Settings
5) Reboot
Devices will be certified and all safetynet-checkers will say "passed"

what about 120w charge with this rom?

This rom is just awesome... No traces of MIUI, Aosp feeling.
I use it on my daily driver, honestly you all should try it.
@imjyotiraditya You are a hero!!! Thx so much for all your work.

Hi, firstly thanks for your awesome work. However, it seems that the SIM card doesn't work on my device. My carrier is China Unicom and China Mobile Hong Kong. Is there any information I can provide for you?

@imjyotiraditya Any ideas?

What camera does this rom use miui one or aosp one

My phone just reboots like 3 times a day when im using it on this rom. Everything else is flawless. Anyone know a fix for that? Or am I just waiting an eternity for alpha 2?

You can flash the new kernel provided by the author, the number of reboots will be reduced or stop happening, but I still experience app crashes. it's true that this rom hasn't been updated for a long time.

[APP][N][XPOSED] GravityBox v7.5.0 - tweak box for Android 7 [23/01/2019]

Version for Marshmallow is available in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3251148
READ THIS POST CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING ANY FURTHER
Introduction
The app utilizes amazing Xposed framework coded by recognized developer rovo89 which, briefly, provides interface for injecting code into any app, including system services, allowing modifications of applications and system services at run-time. One of the biggest advantages of GravityBox is that it is not bound to any specific device. Actually, it should run on any device having vanilla Android 7 (ROM close enough to AOSP).
This project wouldn't be possible without rovo's Xposed framework, so huge kudos to him.
Feature highlight
--- Lockscreen tweaks
--- QuickSettings tile management with additional tiles
--- Statusbar tweaks
--- Navigation bar tweaks
--- Pie controls
--- Power tweaks
--- Display tweaks
--- Phone tweaks
--- Media tweaks
--- Hardware/navigation key actions
--- GravityBox Actions - interface for 3rd party apps
--- Notification control (per-app notification LED/sounds/vibrations)
--- Fingerprint launcher
--- Advanced tuning of Framework and System UI parameters
... and many more
Compatibility
GB's main concept is to make most of the preference changes to be done on the fly without need to reboot a device to achieve custom-ROM like experience.
This means it is not possible to "completely deactivate" particular feature if it causes trouble on your device or if you installed GB because you want to use only one particular feature you can't find elsewhere.
This results in issues on ROMs/devices that have parts that are diverting from default Android implementation too much, or are running heavily modified custom ROMs.
If you experience weird issues after installing GB, even if you didn't activate a particular feature, it is not because of GB is broken, it is because it is not compatible with your ROM.
It is very similar to a situation when you installed ROM built from source for Nexus to some Xperia device - it won't work.
GB is a complex module and is not suitable for 1 purpose scenario. This means, if you are running custom ROM built from source, and you are missing a certain feature, your best option is to go ask creators of those ROMs to implement those additional features. Supplementing missing features on well-known custom ROMs built from source by installing xposed modules (especially complex ones) is definitely not a good way to go and can cause more trouble than good.
GB being a complex module, it shouldn't be combined with other complex modules often racing for the same goal. They can conflict/fight on the same playground and there's no way you can deterministically say which one's going to win. They can even lose both.
So in summary:
- this module is designed to run on vanilla or close-to-vanilla Android 7 (AOSP)
- officially supports devices/systems it was developed and tested on
- Samsung Touchwiz, HTC Sense, MIUI, LeWa, Xperia, Lenovo, etc. are NOT supported. It is not guaranteed this module will work on these at all so try at your own risk. This module is simply too complex to support all kind of ROM brands that were vastly modified by vendors.
- DO NOT USE WITH CUSTOM ROMS MODULE WAS NOT EXPLICITLY DESIGNED FOR
- I will not implement any exceptions that will adapt this module to a specific custom ROM. Please, do understand, it is unmanageable.
- I will not provide any support for devices violating these compatibility rules
GravityBox [N] has been designed for and tested on
- Nexus 5 running AOSP 7.0
- Nexus 5 running AOSP 7.1
- Nexus 5X running stock 7.0
- Nexus 5X running stock 7.1
- OnePlus 3T running stock OxygenOS 4.5
- Moto G5 Plus running stock 7.0
Reporting bugs
If you experience problems with certain feature, provide the full-detailed info that can help me
to reproduce the bug and attach error.log file you'll find in:
/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/log
In case you experience SystemUI crashes or other apps Force Closing, or device soft reboots, attach logcat from time
crash occurs. (use adb logcat *:E or your favorite logcat app from Play Store).
Please, don't attach big logs. Only the portion where error is clearly seen.
Disable all other xposed modules before reproducing bug to make sure it is really GravityBox related
Remember, this app was developed and tested on one particular device so it is not guaranteed that
it will work flawlessly on yours.

Multilanguage support
Volunteers are welcome to translate GravityBox to other languages.
Simply download this file: https://github.com/GravityBox/GravityBox/raw/nougat-as/res/values/strings.xml
Use Notepad++ to edit strings and then send me edited file so I can include translations into next release.
Source code
GravityBox is opensource. Sources are available in my gihub: https://github.com/GravityBox/GravityBox/tree/nougat-as
If you're a dev and have some ideas for additional features, feel free to fork it, work on it
and send the pull requests.

Support development
Coding, maintaining and supporting this project costs me a lot of my precious time. If you find this project useful, you are more than welcome to support its development via donation. This form of support is meant to compensate for my time dedicated to the community + eventually, help me to afford newer device to keep up with AOSP evolution thus providing continuous support as Android evolves. Thanks!
Info about premium features and PayPal transaction ID verification system
1) Those who supported development via PayPal donation can use their PayPal transaction ID to unlock premium features.
As of v2.9.5, there are two premium features:
- Backup/restore of GB settings.
- Ultimate notification control
2) If you contributed to the project by providing translations, code fragments, or by any other way
you can apply for a free transaction ID by contacting me via PM.
3) Be aware that there's a system that can identify potential transaction ID
abuse. E.g. when one ID is being used by more users. Such IDs will get blocked automatically.
This can also happen when you previously exposed your ID in public forum and other users took
advantage of it. If this is the case, contact me via PM so I can issue new, special ID.
In case you own more devices, you can use one transaction ID on up to 10 of them.
4) If you are using your own custom builds of GB for personal use, you will get hash mismatch
upon verifying your ID as verification system accepts requests only from official releases of GB.
If you want to be able to verify IDs with your custom build, contact me via PM so I can setup
a special hash for your build.
If you are using a custom build that you provide for broader group of users (e.g. in a custom ROM),
it is necessary to ask for new hash everytime your new custom version is released for public use.
These rules are based on mutual trust so please, do not violate them.

NON-FBE version
This version uses legacy storage instead of new Device Protected Storage.
Designed for devices WITHOUT file-based encryption that have issues with certain storage-related features, such as choosing images for lockscreen wallpaper, etc. Note, that transition from GravityBox using one type of storage to another causes GravityBox settings reset. NON-FBE version is not available in official Xposed Repository but can be get from the official support thread at XDA forum.
What's missing in version for Nougat compared to Marshmallow
- Launcher tweaks - won't be added back as they were not system related and thus causing trouble
- Clear all recents - this is native now
- ... and maybe some other I forgot about - you'll find out
QuickSettings management
QS management has been massively redesigned for compatibility with stock SystemUI tuner.
GB doesn't provide tile reordering functionality anymore. It only provides interface for enabling/disabling GB specific tiles and setting their protected mode.
There are 2 checkboxes for each tile in the list - the first checkbox is for enabling/disabling tile, the second one is for protected mode.
There are also several stock tiles in the list with only the second checkbox - for setting protected mode (prevents using tile when device locked).
SystemUI tuner shows only those GB tiles that are enabled in GB QS management.
Use SystemUI tuner to drag and drop GB tiles to desired slots.
Settings from Marshmallow
It is possible to restore backup of the settings made in MM version of GravityBox.

Awesomeness is all over the air here! GJ sir!
Is it available on xposed download ?
And it is for 7.xx or 7.0 only ?
Not demanding anything, just informing (but maybe you would expect this) - not working on moto g cedric with Lineage 14.1 (upon launch, says GravityBox sustem framework not responding)

QS management is already fully supported. It just works in different way that people were used to.
We do not need interface for tile reordering anymore as this you can do with native Android's QS editor.

XOS is a new generation Android-based cutting-edge OS based on the Android Open Source Project and Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the AOSP and CAF, the LineageOS Project and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.
http://halogenos.org
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:
Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Backing up your [I]Internal Storage[/I] is also recommended.
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build!
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 7 (Nougat) over halogenOS 6 (Marshmallow)
without any problems. Although we cannot promise that it will work for you,
although we don't recommend it, we can tell you that this has been tested.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

We are very excited to announce the beta of Paranoid Android Sapphire, based on Android 12.1/12L
Our builds are based on the CodeLinaro OSS Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

Hello, friend.
Inspired by @wrongway213's original custom kernel for Pixel 4/XL, I decided to make my own project starting with the PIxel 4a 4G, and then wanted to expand the support to the Pixel 4a 5G. The naming is a tribute to both his ideas and Mr. Robot. fsociety tribute's goal is to give the device a set of useful features while ensuring its stability for a daily life usage. Those features and changes are pulled from different places like Sultan kernel, Arter97 kernel, Kirisakura and many more.
Features
General features
Built with Google Clang version 14.0.2 + LLD linker
Full -O3 build with chipset's flags included (thanks to @eng.stk and @Sultanxda)
AnyKernel3 powered installation to stay OTA and flashers (EXKM, FKM...) friendly
ARM64 architecture optimization and performance patches
Merged security and code fixes from Google and Qualcomm - CAF
Filesystem (ext4/f2fs) optimizations
Scheduler code improvements for better CPU tasks assigning
Disabled several debugging cruft
Memory related features
Merge zRAM and zRAM's compression algorithm code updates
Increase zRAM's disksize to 4GB (from the stock 2GB). Apps can be easily memory intensive nowadays...
Swap 1 page at a time instead of the default's 8, so that it may help in case "the device is under extreme memory pressure"
(source: https://source.android.com/devices/tech/perf/low-ram)
Reduce memory and CPU time usage by avoiding dynamic memory allocations in different kernel components (thanks to @arter97 and @Sultanxda)
Network related features
Set BBR as the default TCP network congestion control and switch to fq_codel queue discipline
(this combination improves network speed and reliability - thanks to @kdrag0n)
Enable support for TTL spoofing
Update Wireguard to its latest release
Power-saving related features
Some of the main kernel parts (such as the audio drivers and the WLAN driver's delayed work/tasks) now use power-efficient workqueues (thanks to @Freak07)
Display "power-saving tweaks" merged-in (from Proton kernel)
Reduce the GPU idle timeout set to 64 ms and implement GPU power-saving changes from Sultan kernel
battery: Tweak QG SOC to be more linear/monotonic (from Proton kernel)
That fixes the stock kernel's unlinear battery level curve, especially between 100% and 90%. The device will need a few charge-discharge cycles to take it into consideration
Performance related features
Faster system call filtering using BPF JIT (from Proton kernel)
Implement LRNG and enable it as default for better performance (more info at: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=LRNG-Random-2021-v41)
fuse: give wakeup hints to scheduler to speed up compress/decompress in internal storage (from Qualcomm,
found in P6's Kirisakura kernel)
Disable the GPU memory usage tracing (which was enabled for debugging purposes)
Return before thermal trip evaluates (it is a workaround for the lag occurring when the device is low on battery and automatically switches to battery saving mode)
Other under the hood changes
Extra features
KCAL Color Control support (from ElementalX/Cleanslate - thanks to @savoca, @tbalden, and @flar2)
Haptic Feedback level Control with Fingerprint Haptic Feedback Control support from blu_spark kernel (thanks to @eng.stk)
Boeffla Wakelock Blocker (to use with caution, and only if it is necessary)

Hey nice kernel! I'm planning on using this in a custom rom(lighthouse sailboat) i plan on building and maintaining for the 4a5G. Is this ready to be built with roms or does it need any modifications? If unsure, i'll just test and see myself.

Hi,
I appreciate your support! It is indeed ready to use, but feel free to contact me if you want to have the build script. I suggest you to fork the repository after the upcoming March build release (as I often force push during my testing phases)!

Unfortunately, no.
I also want to mention that the next build is currently being tested on the Telegram group. It shall be released on XDA very soon!
Hello friends,
Here we are for a new update!
The project which started with the Pixel 4a 4G, then extended its support to the Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a, has reached 2000+ downloads over 60+ countries, and it is a milestone I wouldn't have reached without your support! Thank you.
You're kindly asked to make sure you're using the stable v24.3 of Magisk before flashing fsociety tribute!

Thank you for making this. Eager to give it a try.
You accidentally posted the 1.43 update file for the pixel 5. We can't flash the update as it says wrong device.
I also manually edited the script to allow it to install on bramble instead of redfin and of course when I booted my device I could not control the touchscreen (aka a pixel 5 kernel installed on pixel 4a 5g).
I checked the files on Sourceforge and I cannot actually locate the real pixel 4a 5g 1.43 update. Those are mislabeled for the wrong device.
I'm surprised no one has said anything since you released this update.....

well someone did mention in the telegram group. But yes, it is as you wrote.
Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. First of all, thank you for your support as always. I would also like to apologize for the sudden communication silence which wasn't planned. Sometimes life gets in the way, and you've got to make choices.
I fortunately found a part-time job and the first weeks were mentally and physically draining. If everything goes well, I will be able to buy a Pixel 5a soon in June, so that I may work again on the redbull/barbet kernel builds while also keeping my 4a 4G as my second device to maintain the original fsociety tribute project!
Excited to come back and exchange with the lots of you, but also address the reported issues.
Hello friends,
Let's finally get back to business! I would like to thank each one of you for your patience, and all my Telegram testers for their feedback and support throughout the past weeks testing phase.
Note: Even though the kernel works with Android 13, I will not provide any support until it is officially released.
Changelog
fsociety tribute stable#1.57
Full code rebase to make the updating process easier and address the reported issues from the previous releases (such as the momentary display rendering lags)
Android 12L - June 2022 security patch ready with Android 13 security and code fixes merged-in
Merged-in Qualcomm's 4.19 repo latest code and scheduler improvements
Updated Wireguard to its latest version's changes

Thank you Momojuro, happy to have you back, and really appreciate your efforts.
I just flashed this and am excited to see how it works. The stock kernel leaves a lot to be desired.
Hi ! How install it on root devices ? And the adaptative charging work with kernel custom ?
Thanks
Could someone please advise if this Kernel will work with Lineage OS 19.1?
If so, do I need to flash it in Fastboot mode: Fastboot boot 'Kernel Image' or from Recovery > Apply Update > ADB Push.
Thank you!

Could you provide a link for fcrypt disabler? I generally always prefer to download things from reliable sources
I installed the rom but found all recovery and fastboot overwritten!
I wanted to reinstall the old recovery and it doesn't work, I tried flashing from fastboot but the recover doesn't change.
Now how do I put magisk and root back?
EDIT: I was able to install magisk with sideload, pero I would like to understand ce problem there is with recovery, because I can't change it.
Hi Helmen, try flash magisk through pixel recovery, you're able to do it. First select apply update and use adb sideload or sdcard method, select magisk, after reboot system and install Official TWRP App on PlayStore, after you can simply flash the recovery img through it.
Thank you for your reply!
Please confirm if I understand correctly, you tell me to install magisk with recovery pixel sideload (done yesterday, it worked) and then install TWRP from the playstore (this) and change recovery using this app while the rom is running?
If I understand you correctly I'd like to ask you two more questions about that:
1) previously I had installed a specific version for my lancelot (this), if I get the version from the store isn't it generic?
2) if it's okay to use the TWRP version on the store, don't they also have a site to download directly from it? I generally prefer to get the open software from other sources if it's possible (like fdroid).
Is this the official source? https://twrp.me/
Hi Again
The TWRP app from PlayStore is for download Official TWRP and Flash recovery images with Root permission and you'll use this option. You'll download the recovery.img , after you'll open the TWRP app, give all permissions (including magisk permissions) after select flash image and find the recovery.img in your store, confirm and flash. After if you reboot on recovery you'll see that changed.
You can uninstall the TWRP APP after use it. Enjoy
many thanks for the help.
In the meantime I am trying the rom and I can't connect with the phone.
Is it possible that there is a problem connecting to the networks? both the SIM cards I insert are recognized but none of them can connect.
Yet the phone seems to find the networks when I put the manual search
I didn't face this problem, ig it won't happen with you.
I was able to reinstall the old recovery, however I can no longer backup partitions or send files. can't figure out what's going on.
If I try to backup to the sd it gives an error:
Can not create '/external_sd/TWRP/BACKUPS/000serial000' folder (I/O error).
Failed to make backup folder.
if I try to backup to internal memory it gives this other error:
Can not create '/data/media/0/TWRP' folder (Required key not available).
Failed to make backup folder.
If you have any ideas let me know, because this way I don't even know how to put the phone back together again
Here it seems that someone has the same problem with pixel experience: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ion-errors-all-the-time.4203951/post-84464765
by wiping the internal storage you start to be able to make backups again, however, I accidentally wiped the data anceh and the rom doesn't boot anymore, it always goes back to recovery, now I try to reinstall everything.
Format data and reboot system
Screen recoder problem is very annoing lately even cast doesn't work. I've tried using external screen recorder but still it doesn't work
