OTA downloads the latest version, check the build number, it should be from the 18.02.2022.
But you also could download the latest version from AFH, the link is in the first post.

I try to fix the remaining issues, the problem is, I don't own this device, so it's hard.
If there would be some small donations, I would buy a used device which would me help a lot.

Of course it won't work. Magisk v24 added the support for Android 12. Older versions don't work. At all.

i will continue if all issues with custom 4.4.4 are fixed. also the lollipop roms dont have any interesting features yet.

if you have problems restoring backup here some hints from moonbutt74:
a quick note, when you test your next build you may need to perform
a full system wipe before you restore your previous rom
then a factory reset and the a second restoration without a factory
reset or wipe to get your previous rom back to proper.
seems to be the same kind of /data conflict between cm12 and 11 [lp and kk]
as there was between cm11 and cm10 [kk and jb]

No, the tab 4 8.0 is sm-t330 and t330nu. The t530 is the 10.1inch variant and the t230 is the 7 inch variant

Problem with RIL is, radio (not your FM radio), gets turned off for unknown reason.
I have been experimenting with RIL a lot, and I have matched the series of events when RIL is connected while booting, and its pretty similar to stock, but at the end, stock wins, CM does not. Difference, in stock Radio is turned on, in CM turned off.
And I believe, the fix lies in Ramdisk level.
I have restarted this project, because recently a Spreadtrum device got CM11 with RIL fixed.
Now, all the previous works and fixes are not open sourced, so I had to start from scratch.
P.S - Good News is, this tree boots CM10.2 as well, if selinux is brought up properly, kitkat can be booted.

Thanx for the hard work. Well there might be a condition check in RIL part where you know it check for stock ROM things.. but thats just me speculating and you might have already checked that

Well thats great news but fixing RIL is very important for someone to use it as something of a daily driver..
btw is Wifi also dependent on FM Radio JK

Job of CM team is to get source from Google, and modify it (like add features etc), to make it CM.
There are device maintainers to bringup cm for specific devices.

When talking on the phone in handset mode, the microphone is extremely quiet and basically unusable.
NOTE: the microphone works when using the speakerphone.

I dirty flashed the latest lineage-14.1-20170104-UNOFFICIAL-m7vzw.zip build over a 20161712 CM 14.1 build. Wifi seems to randomly drop on both builds. Bluetooth now doesn't reconnect to known headset after disconnecting and allowing phone to go into idle state/deep sleep. Only thing that I can do to remedy the problem is to hard reboot the phone (power menu or holding the pwr button to turn phone off then on again). I have VZN M7. Latest Hboot. no custom kernel. Let me know if I can provide you with any additional information to assist you with finding a solution.
Edit: Otherwise, This is a VERY smooth, almost reliable nougat build for this device. I like it better than MM or Lollipop builds.
Edit 01/06/2017: Another work-around I have found for this Bluetooth connectivity issue is by leaving the Bluetooth device connected for more than 1 hr. I turned the BT device off. Let phone go into a deep sleep state, then turned BT device back on. It connected without any issues.
Edit 01/12/2017: on the aforementioned build, when phone enters deep sleep state, BT function ceases. Based on the newest posts, newest build as of 01/12/2016 is supposed to fix the BT, mobile data, and WiFi issues. I'll dirty flash over the aforementioned build and report back. I can't say anything for mobile data since I use my Verizon M7 for media and gaming.

I'm pretty sure thats covered by the "RIL" bug he listed, as far as I'm aware that means Radio Interface Layer, so when he fixes the RIL bug the SIM and calls and telephony messaging, all that will work.

In the newest update, there are numerous improvements, the main one being the Audio fix. Audio should be kinda working, but still has some issues that will be worked out in the future.
