Rich (BB code):
-Make sure that you have backed up your data and are familiar with your device
-Also make sure that you have unlocked your bootloader
-You will need to have OxygenOS 11.0.7.1 or above flashed to both the slots before flashing this ROM. If not, you might have broken Widevine L1, HDR, High quality streaming on OTTs like Amazon Prime and Netflix.
-If you are unsure of having OOS 11.0.7.1 on both slots, Do the following:
1. When you are on OOS 11, get into fastboot mode and flash the given boot image by using the command: fastboot flash boot <boot_file_name>.img
2. After that's done, press volume down button twice and you will see "Recovery Mode" at the top of screen. Press power button to enter recovery.
3. From menu select "Apply update" and then "Apply from ADB".
4. Sideload the file mentioned below by using: adb sideload copy-partitions-20200903_1329.zip
copy-partitions-20200903_1329.zip- After this you can follow directly from step 3 below.
- Note that this copy partition is required only during first flash.
ADB Sideload Method+Clean Flash:
1. Get into fastboot mode and flash the given boot image by using the command: fastboot flash boot <boot_file_name>.img

3. When in recovery, select "Factory reset" and then "Format data/Factory reset".
4. Go back to main, menu and select "Apply update" and then "Apply from ADB".
5. Next, sideload the ROM by using the command: adb sideload <ROM_file_name>.zip

Really smooth and customizable rom, but drains a lot of battery while being idle, is there any fix for battery backup or the rom is itself battery consuming?

Good Going Guacamoleb!!
Great Work Dev

Few downsides -
Wide wine L1 certification is not there. It has LE certification.
HDR support is also not there.
Max playback - SD on Netflix and Amazon Prime
@shantanusarkar please fix these.

This is not true. In flashing instructions it is clearly mentioned that you need to have OOS 11.0.5.1 on both the slots before flashing the ROM. Not doing so will result in breaking widevine. It is working fine in my device. Look at the attached screenshots

I has rolled back to oxygen OS and updated to OOS 11.0.5.1 using MSM tool but I don't know how to verify whether it was installed on both slots or not. How to check that?
Is there any way to fix this without rolling back to OOS. It takes a lot of time

sideload this zip using aex recovery or twrp and see if it is fixed. If not, you will have to flash OOS manually on both slots.

Didn't work. Thanks though.

I tried the whole process again. I rolled back to android 10 using mam tool. It had L3 certification. Then I downloaded the latest firmware 11.0.6.. using oxygen updater and confirmed that widevine level had changed to L1 and stayed at L1 even after unlocking bootloader. Then I installed this rom. Again the certification broke and changed to L3 in AOSP.

When you're on oxygen 11.0.6.1, fastboot flash boot boot.img. Then reboot to recovery. Before you flash the ROM, flash the copy-partitions-20200903_1329.zip using adb sideload. After that, flash the ROM. You'll be good to go.

It worked finally. Thanks for the support

Standby battery discharge is quite high, especially in comparison with Kosp 2.4. I also feel, auto brightness is quite aggressive. However, the rom is smooth and fantastic. Looking forward to improvement in battery and auto brightness in future updates.

Nice work ... Thanks for supporting this device guys

It has two reasons. The initial build is almost bug free. Secondly, google has surprised us by officially releasing 12.1 aka 12L. The source needs to be rebased. Also, google themselves haven't released a march update for Pixel 6/6 Pro

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Introduction:
This is the official Lineage OS thread for the Motorola Moto X4, codename payton.
We support all the T-Mobile, International, and Project Fi variants, as their bootloaders are unlockable, while we can't support the Verizon and AT&T variants, as their bootloaders are permanently locked.
How to install:
Boot the newest TWRP .img from the Official TWRP Project Site.
IF YOU ARE COMING FROM STOCK AND WANT TO INSTALL CUSTOM ROMS FOR FIRST TIME, INSTALL "Copy Partitions Zip" FROM POST #2
In TWRP, click "Wipe", "Format Data", then type "yes" as prompted.
ADB sideload the newest weekly
(Optionally) You can flash the newest TWRP Installer also found at the Official TWRP Project Site if you wish to maintain TWRP, though the pre-installed Lineage Recovery instance will do everything you need it to in most cases. We don't recommend or support the use of the TWRP installer, as it is overwritten on every update (will need to be re-installed every update), and has no addon.d-v2 persistence.
Click "Reboot, then choose "Recovery", this will boot you to either Lineage Recovery or TWRP depending on your choice to install TWRP or not. It is necessary to reboot between ROM flash and GApps/Addon flash due to verity/slot-swap logic.
(Optionally) Flash GApps - MindTheGApps arm64 are recommended, OpenGApps are compatible with A/B as of 09102018, but I still only reccoemend and support MindTheGApps.
(Optionally) Flash SU - you'll need to turn it on from in developer settings after first boot Lineage OS SU Addon. - Magisk works fine, though is not supported.
Reboot
Notes:
Official Lineage OS builds will not pass CTS/SafetyNet -- due to the AVB flag's "red" status. (Magisk works fine, though is not supported.)
Official Lineage OS builds ship with full treble compatibility, with VNDK runtime enforcement! This means that unlike most "ported treble" you'll see, ours is just as it would be from the OEM, and can run any GSI (yes, even Pie!) without need for hacks or additional flashable zips. We relabeled /oem as /vendor (as /oem isn't used in custom ROM's anyway). To use a GSI, flash official Lineage, then flash your GSI, it's that simple! Flashing a factory image will likely write over /oem and remove the mock vendor image. Please don't report GSI bugs here, report them instead to the GSI's maker.

Excellent work! It's impressive that you could get this done when one person didn't have the phone. That's a good ol' fashioned hackathon.

---------- Post added at 03:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:53 AM ----------
Also happy to report that Magisk works successfully by sideloading the zip in TWRP (Data will not get decrypted when you boot into TWRP after the first boot - just hit cancel to get to the TWRP main menu > Advanced > ADB Sideload and sideload the Magisk ZIP.) SafetyNet passes too! And Google Pay works (finally!!! ...It was broken for me on stock).
Just got set up:
- AOSP firmware flash working on google fi version running 7.1
- Twrp decrypt not working with pin on the linked twrp or 3.2.1.1. Have to remove pin before booting to recovery
- videos recorded are choppy and lag during playback through camera app. I'll check when I install another gallery app but I rarely record so not a huge issue right now.
- bluetooth working well
Liking Lineage so far, especially the dark theme it seems to default to. I'll update with more as I play around with this. Thanks.
Speaker not working
Edit: seems it's just media, not phone
Just ran into an issue, speaker doesn't work with any app I've tried. There is sound with Bluetooth in the same apps. Attached some logcats.

Interesting. Working for me - tested using the Amazon Music app.
Edit: YouTube was used to test as well. However, the speaker volume level across all apps is lower than stock.

Huh, just tried and it stutters and no sound in YouTube. What model are you using and did you have Oreo already? I'm on the Google fiber variant and came from 7.1. maybe I need to upgrade to stock Oreo then flash.

But I wanted to thank you guys SO much for working on this. I see using Lineage as the long-term plan for my phone (and my wife's) but these are our daily drivers and can't afford them to be offline for long. Once it is verified solid, I will likely switch. Thank you again!

A few notes before you proceed:
Before going straight to the downloading, there’s something we would like to tell you. We have changed the default encryption method for the phone, migrating to File-Based Encryption (you can get more information from the official Google documentation page). In order to get this encryption mode working, you will need to use our custom recovery (compiled from the latest source) which is compatible with this encryption and, just for the first time, you will have to wipe your internal data, so backup your data before proceeding.
Installation Instructions:
Grab our recovery and install it.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Install Zip > Install Image > Choose ‘recovery.img‘ > Select partition ‘Recovery’ > Swipe to confirm flash
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Install the ROM and then wipe your internal data partition.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Wipe > Format data
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot into system and wait until the process finishes, it could take a little bit. After the installation is done, I suggest waiting before using the phone because it usually goes into thermal throttling after installing a ROM.

Installed it with no issues and so far so good. It's a complete rom, has everything i need even gray scale reading mode. Didn't notice any battery drain for now, but still i always enable agrressive sleep and standby. Will give any further thoughts after i used it for a while. The onyl thing is that the simple gapps do not work on this rom, had to use open gapps.

Oke so my review in short. The rom is as most roms just fine. For my usage i have no bugs to report. The only slight potential donwside might be that the battery life was not as good as on pixy or superior os, but its not far behind. However this might be due to, I've used a lot more lte with this rom than on those since I'm back to work form vacation, and second that my battery might be giving me slight signs it'll need a replacement soon. So take the battery thing with a grain of salt, try it your self first and compare.

Hi, thanks for the ROM, runs great from the short time I had on it (forgot to get gapps package) when I got opengapps 9.0 stock it said that the ROM needed opengapps for 8.1, same with Pico, pretty confusing. Any help would be great
Gapps issue
I even tried Simple Gapps, thinking maybe they would work. Will try 8.1, but it definitely won't use 9.0 gapps. BTW, I downloaded the nano gapps. Other than that, this rom is absolutely beautiful. It is fast, and it is just a very good-looking rom. So, I hope you keep working on this. I can't say enough about how quick it is. So, thanks, and I hope the gapp thing can be worked out. Okay, what ended up working was ARM 8.1 gapps. NOT arm 64. Not sure why or how. Just FYI. Thanks.
I shall be trying this ROM out soon. I have to flash gapps 9.0 arm 64?

MoKee Open Source is the biggest non-profit Android Open Source development team in China, with members from all parts of the world. We follow the latest development from Google closely and improve various parts of Android according to the user habits. Being a non-profit organisation, we utilise our spare time and own funds to keep this passion alive. Therefore, the costs for the forum and servers are solely beared by us. In order to provide a good user experience, we only included a few preinstalls in the ROM. Along with the advertisements in the forum; we hardly get enough to pay for the bandwidth. The point is, those are our only source of income, however many developers choose to exclude them when releasing unofficial builds. Unlike CyanogenMod, we did not accept monetary help at the early stages, as in China, most people do not understand the meaning of “making a donation”. They would think of it as buying a service, which is conflicting with our objectives. Anyways, we still made it until today, and even started to provide third party developers a chance to utilise our OTA system. All of these are the fruit of our hard work and passion. We are proud of the happy users, and we are also proud of the support given to MoKee Open Source. Most importantly, we are proud of the improvements we have achieved all these while, and the advancements never stop.
I AM NOT THE DEVELOPER OF THIS ROM AND I ONLY MAKE THIS THREAD FOR XDA COMMUNITY. IN ANY CASE, MOKEE AND GuaiYiHu HAS ALL THE RIGHTS OVER THIS ROM.

This is nice, but I think the flashing method is "copy pasted" from original site, and therefore will not work on this device. But i am not sure.
what i meant that wont work is that this device's normal flashing method requires a lot of reboot to recovery, while the OP's instructions is for A devices only.

Actually 7A is A-only device, working as system-as-root.
The OP's instructions are right, cuz I installed it this way and everything works fine.
Thank you this is a good step forward. I'm going to try this rom later this evening.
Wipe data of format data?
Coming from stock MIUI 11 Android 9 do I have to format the data partition or to wipe it? Usually MIUI to AOSP needs a format.

Alright my bad, but flashing a gsi rom, we need to restart a lot(wipe, reboot to recovery, flash gsi, reboot to recovery, flash zips, reboot to system)
While this rom is installed in a traditional way (wipe and flash just like the old days) if someone can explain why itll be really appreciated.
I am really new to GSI and this phone but i am willing to help testing stuffs for development for this device! only if TWRP restore function works

I used twrp LR team from gsi post and worked with this recovery.if you need root download su add .magisk don't work...
Newest Magisk seems to be working through recovery at least work for me for installing NanoDroid.
There seems to be problem with setting up mobile hotspot. Mobile hotspot cant be seen or accessed with SSID either.
ROM also lacks possibility to have navigation bar binded.
Is it possible to use the SD Card as internal storage with this rom? It's more or less the single reason I'd flash a different rom for.
the batery life it is much smaller than miui's
I flash the rom following the instructions, but my cel doesn't boot, only reboot and boot to twrp, i'm only flashing the system without su, magisk or gapps, but it's the same, what can be wrong?

The same, doesn't boot, it's curious because the GSI roms doesn't work for me too, i don't know why. I'm coming from MIUI 11, but i rollback to 10.2.5 so shouldn't have problem with this, but i have.
I rollback with MiFlash Tool with fastboot rom global
EDIT: I get the GSI Rom working, just format DATA and type YES on TWRP
EDIT2: After make the DATA reset with TWRP i was able to boot with the MoKee Rom :3

Pre-requisites:
* You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
* You are familiar with using fastboot
* Before you are ready to flash this custom ROM, you have to install the latest factory image from October 2021
* Bootloader unlocked
* You have created a backup of your ROM & data
First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:
YOU MUST HAVE an Android 12 FACTORY IMAGE FLASHED TO BOTH SLOTS BEFORE YOUR FIRST TIME INSTALLING ROM.
1. Flashing stock ROM / unlock bootloader (If applicable):
Follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images#blueline
Boot the stock ROM.
Don't setup any google account, don't add a screen lock. Just go to Settings > System > Developer options. Enable OEM unlocking.
You need to follow this guide to unlock your bootloader.
2. There are now two options for the installation. Either via TWRP or via Sideload (for advanced users).
A. Flashing PixelDust ROM via TWRP:
Download the ROM and both TWRP files (img + zip) (for download links see above).
Boot fastboot mode.
Connect the phone to the Computer with USB cord.
Copy twrp-3.6.2_11-0-blueline.img to the platform-tools folder or folder that has fastboot in it and rename it twrp.img.
Open a Command Prompt.
At the Command Prompt type and press enter.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
If requested, swipe to allow modifications.
Tap "Wipe", then tap "Format data" and type yes to continue.
Copy the rom zip and twrp-installer-3.6.2_11-0-blueline.zip to your device.
Tap "Install", select the rom zip, tap "Add more Zips", select the twrp-installer.zip and Swipe Slider to install.
When install is successful tap on "Reboot", then tap on the first list item "System".

B. Flashing PixelDust ROM via sideload:
Download the ROM and boot image (for download links see above)
Boot fastboot mode
Connect the phone to the Computer with USB cord.
Flash the boot image (this allows stock recovery to flash unsigned rom zip)
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot_aosp_xxx.img
Wipe userdata (required for first PixelDust/Android 13 install)
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
Reboot into fastbootd
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
Use volume keys and power button to select "Enter Recovery"
Select "Apply Update from ADB"
Sideload the ROM zip
Code:
adb sideload PixelDust-Tiramisu-aosp-blueline-user-xxx.zip
Reboot

Dirty flashing PixelDust ROM (coming from a previous PixelDust A13 ROM):
Just skip the step "Format data" / "Wipe userdata"

Awesome
Anybody trying this please.let me know if Android auto to car dashboard works and doesn't freeze up. Something in aosp.code is making this a problem across all roms, one which has yet to be resolved.
Sorry, with this build a bootloop occurs that I hadn't noticed.
I'll upload a new build soon.
Thanks for your understanding!
thanks for the rom, i'm too interested in knowing if android auto works fine on this. btw, can you please clarify one thing: on telegram channel you say "PixelDust 10 for blueline with December security patch is released", while here in OP you mention November factory image, so we should flash November or December factory image prior to correctlyinstalling this rom? thanks!
*eagerly waiting*

More than likely. There are currently three custom Android q ROMs , if we include his, for our pixel 3. To use December builds on the other two, I've had to flash November images first otherwise tte ROMs wouldn't boot.
Side note: can anyone who is using this ROM let me.know if they have Android auto working on this ROM after connecting to their headunit on their car?
What gapps are included? As in full, mini, micro etc

About LineageOS

Is step #5 really necessary? If in step #1 a fastboot ROM is used it already contains the firmware.
Also what's the status on SeLinux and SafetyNet?
Very nice and good job!

Hello Compass,
Step #5 isn't necessary to do so, but some users ping about the brick they faced while shifting from any other rom so i usually Suggest Users to flash FW too
For now SELinux is permissive & Cts fails by default but can be fixed using mods & hide props.
I hate Android 11/12 but this looks promising.
Also can't we just use Dynamic TWRP? (Yes we can)
Installed it and the issues are:
1)From restoring a backup,it may say it can't contact google servers,in that case re-login and it should be solved.
2)I can't find OEM unlocking in the settings
3)Can't change button shortcuts. They always stay the same
Also DON'T use UnicornHorn Kernel on this ROM due to the Android version, though you'll most likely end up in a soft-brick (Learned that the hard way)
Im so curious about battery life. I've tried couple of A12 rooms for N8P and all of them had the worst battery stats. I would only get 3and half SOT which is so bad.

Hello! How to build this ROM? Is there an instruction?
Hi my wifi sharing connection is connected but cannot access internet
Notifications works, Facebook app too, but Chrome doesn't neither Google Play store
So weird...
Why is "Material You" theming system not working? Is this something about this particular ROM? Or is it an app problem? Or is it just for me?
Can someone help ?
Hello, I've tested the ROM and it looks good 'till now. The only problems I had were:
- first time I've installed it from stock ROM (MIUI 12.5.x) I've soft-bricked it (dunno how) - [after installing the ROM]. I couldn't get to the recovery. I mean, I've got there, but the slider didn't showed up (only the twrp banner), stayed like this for ~1 min and then automatically rebooted and then back again and so on. I've unbricked it by reflashing `boot.img` (I could get into fastboot mode). Still, after reflashing I couldn't get to the recovery (same story but not bootloop).
P.S: I've also tried a dozen other TWRPs, none worked.
I've installed the stock ROM again and reinstalled the custom one (this time the recovery problem is not present, I can access TWRP now).
- It lags a bit sometimes, for instance when you unlock it and move between screens.
- Can't adjust the volume of call when on speaker (it stays the same - loud enough).
I would like to know how to set SELinux to enforcing. `echo 1 > /sys/fs/selinux/enforce` didn't worked out.
Edit: Also, alongside the SELinux notification that pops up when the phone starts, I get another notification from Trust that says that this build was signed with public keys.
Update: I've managed to set SELinux to Enforcing mode by editing this Magisk module, but...
1. The fingerprint sensor didn't worked after that
2. Files app crashed at open
3. Couldn't take screenshots
and probably there were more issues to be discovered.

I wouldn't suggest enabling SELinux on this ROM because it's doesn't work properly. Try using Dynamic TWRP for the recovery and flash a fastboot stock ROM instead of recovery ROM because recovery ones do not contain the proper firmware.
do you have a set of build files for this?
eg: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_device_xiaomi_begonia
where is the gapps file?
