Installation procedure
IS MANDATORY TO BE ON ANDROID 13 FW BEFORE FLASHING ThinROM !!!
0) Backup ALL your important files to PC, ext drives, etc
1) Download and copy the latest ThinROM zip into your external storage or USB stick if you're on stock fw encrypted
2) Download GWB1 stock FW for your phone model using Frija or Samfw and unpack it on your PC
3) Boot in download mode (Vol Up + Vol Down + plug the USB cable connected already to PC) and load up Odin on PC
Don't use USB adapters otherwise you might get issues flashing FW in Odin
Turn off Auto Reboot in Odin
4) Select files BL, AP, CP & HOME_CSC (keep data)
**do not start flash yet
5) Download latest compatible TWRP for your specific device from the official TWRP xda thread (link above), rename it to recovery.img. Download the patched vbmeta.img file from above and rename vbmeta.img. Using 7Zip app add the 2 files (recovery.img and vbmeta.img) into a .tar file.
6) Add the above twrp + vbmeta patched.tar file into the USERDATA slot in Odin
7) Uncheck the auto reboot option in Odin and start the flashing
8) When flashing completes (keep usb plugged in !!!), hold Vol Down + Power buttons and then as soon as the screen goes black hold Vol Up + Power buttons to boot to recovery
*be warned first time you boot into recovery it will initialize and then reboot so just keep the buttons Vol Up + Power buttons pressed longer
**if you boot in stock FW, your data will be encrypted and you'll need to wipe your data before flashing ThinROM
9) When boot in TWRP, wipe your data if you're encrypted, flash ThinROM zip and then reboot to system
10) After the first boot, open Magisk Manager and reply with YES (agree to reboot) after MM have setup your root environment
*after reboot, go to Magisk Manager settings and toggle On Zygisk
10) Enjoy....

2. If you have issues booting the ROM, try the clean flash
3. To boot into TWRP you need to use a USB cable connected to PC (same for DL mode) or a USB stick

Call recorder doesn't for me but a tester said it did for him and no, secure folder isn't included.

Also for my region there is only EVA9. Will there be any issues using EVA9 over the absence of EVB1?

It will void warranty in certain countries but that's for you to check. Please download the latest FW for DBT and then the rom will flash just fine.

This is an MPB (my personal build) that is heavily debloated and has pretty much only edge panels left in it. Everything that could be removed safely (except edge panel) has been removed however system apps like camera, calandar, calculator, play store etc are still included.
The aroma only has a choice of clean or dirty and will automatically flash a full screen caller mod, boot animation and all available csc mods.
The rom is only 2.97gb in size and because it's my personal build I will not be adding things back into it.
If you're after an extremely light rom that's optimised for speed and battery then this is for you!

How is battery in this ROM compared to stock?

Banking apps work fine as long as you know how to use zygisk and battery is different for every user but for me it is alot better.
First post updated with May firmware.
I love this ROM. One thing is bugging me as I use two SIMs and nned two accounts on WhatsApp but Dual Messenger option is greyed out, how to enable it

Bevor you do something with your Device do a Backup of all your Data (Contacts, Pic´s ect.) outside of your Device (in a Cloud or on your PC)I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD Cards, broken phone chargers etc.You do all at your own Risk!
If you are new, just work the first 3 steps from top to bottom.
Flash Root & Odin3:
At the https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ site you can Download the the Root File for your Device (Link to A300FU). When you Downloaded the "CF-Auto-Root-xxx.zip" File unzip it. In this zip you will find the Odin3xxx.exe and the Root .tar.md5 File
You need this Odin3 tool also for TWRP and going Back to Stock Rom
For Root: Make sure your device is in ODIN download mode (you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off), then start the included Odin3xxx.exe file, press the PDA/AP button, select the Root .tar.md5 file, and click Start, never interrupt this action! You can find more detailed instructions and assistance at [CENTRAL] CF-Auto-Root Thread
Flash TWRP:
You can Download the TWRP File at the [RECOVERY][ROOT][TWRP 3.0.2-1]Samsung Galaxy A3(2015) SM-A300F/FU/G/H/M Thread. I recommend the Build from Post 80 it has working MTP & OTG for the FU Device!
To Install Start download mode (you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off), then start the Odin3xxx.exe file, press the PDA/AP button, select the TWRPxxx.tar file, and click Start, never interrupt this action! After Reboot you can get there by holding VolUp+Home+Power when the device is turned off.
There are also a TWRP 2.8.7.0 and a TWRP 3.0.0-0 but both have small bugs so i recommend TWRP 3.0.2-1 only if you have Problems try to downgrade
TWRP Bugs:
TWRP 2.8.7.0 Can only Install CM12.1 ROMs, it has no MTP & no OTG
TWRP 3.0.0-0 Can only Install CM13 ROM & it has no MTP but OTG is Working
TWRP 3.0.2-1 Can not install @cbolumar ROMs and the Build from Opening Post has no OTG
TWRP 3.1.0 Only tested with LineageOS, it still has no MTP!!!
Flash a Custom ROM:
You can Install a ROM now with TWRP you can enter TWRP by holding VolUp+Home+Power when the device is turned off.
In TWRP IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO DO FIRST A BACKUP! (I Recommend to placed at the SD Card)
Backup -> Storage : Micro SDcard -> Ok -> [x] Boot, [x] System, [x] Data, [x] Cache, [x] Recovery, [x] EFS, [x] MODEM, [x] APNHLOS -> Swipe to Backup
If anything goes wrong you can easy Restore your Device in TWRP without losing anything, so it's also recommended to Backup your Custom ROM
Now you need your Custom Rom, Google Apps like Opengapps for ARM and i recommend latest Magisk[/URL, OR (if you prefer) [URL="http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu"]SuperSU to Manage Root Access.
Place this zip Files at your Device (I Recommend to placed at the SD Card)
Now you enter TWRP and go to:
Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> [x] Dalvik / ART Cache, [x] System, [x] Data, [x] Cache -> Swipe to Wipe
Now go back to main menu and select:
Install -> Storage : Micro SDcard -> Ok -> now choose your ROM zip first, you can "Add More Zips" and choose Gapps zip and if you want you can Add direct Magsik OR SuperSU zip as well -> Swipe to Confirm Flash
After placing files the Device need a Reboot, at the First Start it will Install your Rom, so be patiently at first start!
Flash Xposed:

at CM12.1 ROM's Offical Xposed works fine.
Download the "sdk22-arm" zip, and Install it with TWRP first start need a long time! be patient!

Flash Stock ROM:
Download your Firmware at Sammobile than i recommend you to Wipe all (Advanced Wipe) in TWRP except the SDcard!
Boot your Device in ODIN download mode (you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off), then start the Odin3xxx.exe file, press the PDA/AP button, select the .tar.md5 file, and click Start, never interrupt this action!
After doing this you lose TWRP and Root so if you need it you have to install it new.
You should not try to Flash 4.x ROMs it could Brick your Device!
With a Stock Marshmallow ROM it is recommended to use a Custom Kernel

Definitely CM12.1 RR!
Right just flash first TWRP 2.8.7.0 via Odin3 install the ROM and than Flash TWRP 3.0.2-1 via Odin3, btw. the Build from post 80 has a working MTP and OTG in TWRP (only in TWRP not at the ROM!)
And you can anytime time flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 again if you have to Install new
So only good ROM for daily driver will be @mygalaxya cm13?

This could need some time, i recommend to try CyanogenMod 12.1 Resurrection Remix, or a Stock MM with aresKernel :good:

It's lot to do with RR to make it stable without SOD etc. (I really need normal usb connection for daily usage)
What's twrp should I use with stock mm to flash ares kernel and can I go back to lollipop via odin? (Mygalaxya's cm13 needs LP bootloader and modem)

Best is TWRP 3.0.2-1 and yes you can go back anytime via odin

Thanks I tried this but I flashed wrong firmware and wifi was broken but I know how to repair it.
Tomorrow I'll try flash compatible firmware and try again.
After flash MM and reflash LP it was a bootloop in first boot. I went to download mode and flash twrp then restore backup and it boots up.

This Bootloop thing happened at my Device sometimes too, if i flashed a stock ROM via Odin, thats why i started to Wipe all Partitions via TWRP before flashing, that works for me flawless

OK I've got one last question the wipe in twrp means it deleting it to zero and if I accidentally go to system and not to download I'll get hard brick? Or wipe means it restoring it to factory files? Wipe modem too?
Sorry for noob questoms but I want to be sure before do anything

No it will not brick, if you accidentally go to system it will stuck at A3 logo, than you can go to Download Mode with pressing "VolDown+Home+Power" for 30 Sec

Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> [x] Dalvik / ART Cache, [x] System, [x] Data, [x] Internal Storage, [x] Cache -> Swipe to Wipe -> go back -> go back -> Format Data -> yes

As far i know, it will not working with Stock MM.
Known issues:
- Bootloops on Samsung stock ROMs. That's due to Samsung's changes to ART. There are unofficial builds that work around this by deodexing and adjusting the ROM.

I'm happy with this.
Working only on MM touchwiz (tested by me on A300FU with TWRP 3.0.2-1)
How to install:
- Install this Xposed Installer App version http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440
- Make a nandroid backup
- Copy the Xposed file and the uninstaller to your sdcard
- Flash "xposed-vxx.x-sdkxx-tw-armxx-custom-build-by-wanam-xxxxxxxx.zip" through a custom recovery (TWRP/CWM...)
- Reboot and Waiiiiiiiiit, it may take several minutes to boot up depending on your Rom size.

Stock ROM:
Download your Firmware at Sammobile than i recommend you to Wipe all (Advanced Wipe) in TWRP except the SDcard!
Boot your Device in ODIN download mode (you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off), then start the Odin3xxx.exe file, press the PDA/AP button, select the .tar.md5 file, and click Start, never interrupt this action!
After doing this you lose TWRP and Root so if you need it you have to install it new.
Here is the TWRP for Samsung galaxy on8 (exynos 7580)
working on Nougat...
You flash this at your own risk. Please ensure you have the stock ROM to hand downloaded from SAMMOBILE in case of problems. This will trip the knox counter.

At this point, you will reach the screen asking you if you want to allow system modifications.
You will want to swipe to allow, otherwise the OS will replace TWRP once you boot!

No reported bugs in that build at all except CPEFS partition mount error(which isn't really a bug). Internal storage not mounting has absolutely nothing to do with TWRP. Unless you have some how managed to overcome Samsung's encryption or the /data partition is Formatted its still going to be unmountable.
All this is clearly pointed out in the thread, but I guess if people choose not to read...well.

6. Device should reboot. Relax, boot takes a few.

7. Skip setup and install FlashFire

Is the main difference between this ROM and the Fennec ROM the base you built it on. Any advantage from moving to this ROM? At a glance they look about the same benefit. Speed? Battery Life? Anything I'm missing? Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer.

This ROM has all carrier functions and files...unlike Fennec ROM...
The carrier ROMs always use more resources than Unlocked ROMs but I made some modifications to improve performance...
I will be modding this one differently than Fennec...as well

For those on V3 Bootloader, not rooted
The official SamFAIL V3 has been updated...Please use instead, unless you really want these.
1.Flash V3 Bootloader Odin files, CR_U-3BRA9_CMBO-3ARA3 In Prince Comsy's Odin,(yes it had a security error).
2. Boot to Download mode.
3. Flash the SamFAIL V3 System file according to SamFail Part 1 Instructions Here (normal error and upload screen).
4. Boot to Download mode.
5. Flash V3 Bootloader Odin files again, CR_U-3BRA9_CMBO-3ARA3
6. Device should reboot. Relax, boot takes a few.
*If you get a bootloop on SamFAIL startup, flash carrier CSC in Odin. 3BRA9 CSC*
7. Skip setup and install FlashFire
8. Flash BlueFox ROM following instructions above.

It's a flushable zip that you flash with Flashfire, as we don't have TWRP.
What carrier are you on? You can use Phone Info app in the play store to put your csc back.
Kernel part he'll have to answer that, but I'm assuming it's just stock.

If you flash the optional Odin files, V3 is the 3ARA3 kernel, V2.5 is the 2AQL1 kernel...or keep the SamFail kernel you are on...

If your device is x829 after rom flash and before 1st boot flash the standalone AEX Kernel which is inside rar package. It's known x829 issue.

is the battery good and lasting long?
Not working for me. After installation and restart boot logo "MI" is on the screen but no further action
dont know is it a bug but i cant select high precision in location settings , by default it is set to device only but when i try to select high precision it switches back to gps only....and i get error 4001 when trying to download themes (didnt flash the adittional zip for china themes). Awsome ROM btw!!

Hwy.. about gps high precision..its a setting..
Go to location settings and give location rights to Google location services
About themes.. some Themes are available.. some others doesn't..if you want more Themes go with China's version zip

Fingerprint is snappy, no bugs untill now ... as for battery life mine is on about 85 % health and i'm currently explorig the ROM all the time but it seems good .... Thank U, wanted to change my phone but now I will reconsider
Thanks a lot Cris! Now, I owned a Mi Mix 2S but I can't forget my beloved LeMax 2. This rom works like a charm but my fingerprint sensor didn't respond; I supposed it's an issue on my side.

Unable to download from Google Drive - download limit exceeded. Can anybody upload to Mega or other hosting?
is there a way to change lockscreen wallpaper or icon set ? Is this a MIUI bug or there is some workaround? Thanks!
Hello, I'm using rom is great so far, except for a problem that miui has in the Chinese version that does not allow the use of unlicensed launchers. I did a research and saw that this does not happen in the global version of miui, is there any way to circumvent this?

Normally lock screen can be changed..
Maybe is temporarily issue.. Try to flash Chinese Themes zip and try again..
You can reverse back any time you want..

There is a workaround for this..
I have made up to 10.000flashes testing my builds and i have faced this twice..
After to Many tries with Qfil kernel's etc finally I've found tge trick accidentally..
Flash clean my EUI30S-V17 ALL Formats including internal storage... with my TWRP 3.2.1-1 with tools..
Then go ti fingerprint settings abd make fingerprint calibration (lower setting)
for many times..uo to 15... after 12 time usually working..
Then flash any other rim you want and enjoy..
This worked for me twice so far.
I hope to work for you..

I've installed Poco Launcher, it's one of the licenced ones. Nova is not...

I've been using Aosp Extended without any issue with the fingerprint. As long as my I'm using my Le Max 2 as a backup phone, I will try your solution as soon as possible and let you know.

Unfortunately I had to install it too, I tested the Nova Launcher and the Smart Launcher, none worked. I hope you have some way around this

Thank you for sugestion but it didnt work ... flashed chinese themes and i can download and apply themes but lockscreen and icons remain unchanged ... if I try to apply it through gallery i get message (translated) : wallpaper applied , cannot apply lockscreen wallpaper ... shame i love dark walls and 4 now im stuck with default one .... still loving ROM allthough

Then something doesn't installed right. On my phone available Themes working and lock screen change normally.. anyway.. thanks for your reply..
Patched Magisk v23 for A21s (A11/OneUI 3)
Since I've seen and tried installing Magisk via the default instructions from the legend topjohnwu himself, I noticed it does not work at all. The phone
just doesn't even boot into Android at all, and after researching I have seen that this is a very specific problem with the phone itself due to weird implementation from Samsung.
Extremely simplified, apparently there is a conflict with skip-initramfs because of System-as-Root and the A/B system partitioning introduced with Project Treble. I will still have to read more into it.
There are already patched Magisk apps/images for this phone available, but I noticed they are not really in active development (last patched Magisk was still v22), so I pulled the latest Magisk from the official repository and implemented the fix from this pull request on the official repo. They are not interested in accepting the pull request, so we'll have to do our own "Magisk" for the time being.
I will try to update this as much as possible and try to incorporate fixes, user feedback and more. This has been only tested on latest A11 and OneUI 3. I will also start working on TWRP soon.
Since the APK isn't signed yet, please uninstall Magisk Manager if present, and install this one. It will display a warning when installing, but don't worry.
Options to install:
Flash boot.tar from the ZIP in Odin on AP
Install the APK from this thread and patch your own boot image

Forgot to mention that I used the latest DBT boot image for SM-217F/DSN. Not sure if it works for other models, but there aren't really many models anyways.

Copied boot.img file to the phone internal memory.
Opened Magisk and patched the boot.img file, which created magisk_patched-23001_nmETW.img in the phone Downloads folder
Copied patched file (magisk_patched-23001_nmETW.img) from the phone to my laptop - and changed its name to boot.img
Compressed it into boot.tar file using 7zip.
Restarted the phone into DOWNLOAD mode (using SamKey, or adb, or key combinantion, whatever).
Put boot.tar into AP section in ODIN.
Go to Options tab and disable "Auto Reboot", make sure "Re-Partition" is also disabled.
Aaand it fails again.
And the message in phone DL mode says:
Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(boot)
Perhaps vsmeta.img also needs to be included into the tar file?
No idea how to move on with this subject.

Edit3: Use MiracleBox to pass the Prenormal you have to Checking, I had this problem on J7NXT, and I made this post to help.
Edit4: Full AP patch on Magisk, and use full patched on Odin.
First with Unlock, go to developer options and activate Unlock Bootloader, restart in download mode, Press the Vol UP button, if reset only, do it again, Download->VolUP Mode, until formatting, In download mode, with all Unlock, go to Odin. Now with the Magisk patched file modified for the A21s, the entire Magisk .tar, you don't need to unpack boot.img.lz4, After this it is normal to start, it will give you an unlocked system alert, just press the Power button to continue, then an Unofficial System warning will appear and just wait A few seconds it starts normally (first boot takes considerable time)
Some tips:
-With V23 use LsPosed to use Xposed framework, Edxposed has infinite log bugs, which causes conflict and slowdown.
-For SatefyNet, Use MagiskHide only apps needed to avoid unnecessary processes, install Universal SatefyNet Fix module, Only this gets through SafetyNet, you don't need to install additional modules for SafetyNet, it will just slow down the system.
For those who use Lucky Patcher:
-Use in LsPosed, and activate it for System Framework and Play Store, you don't need to activate for each app, it will only slow down. Use CorePatch to go through the signatures as Lucky Patcher cannot do this function on Android 11. Use Lucky Patcher with LsPosed as LP Patch's are not compatible with Android 11 But LSPOSED does, so it can work just fine.
For those who use Game Guardian:
-It is best to use a Virtual System, as its functions on Android 11 are limited as it is not 100% compatible.
All I have from my own experience is:
-Avoid redundant modules as much as possible, as they can affect the battery and the System.

Have you used the patched magisk or official one; see official one doesn't work on a21s and m12 i was getting that error before but it solved by using patched one see the first post and download the .apk
I have the SM-A215U. I get the impression this method won't work for me.
I have Developers Options, but do NOT have the OEM option in that menu.
Is there anyway to unlock it without that menu item?
