Question Usb moisture detected. - Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

Does anyone know the solution for this problem? i am getting a notification saying my phone is either wet or has dirt even if it is dry or clean.

Spray out the charger port. Then try a different charger.. I had this issue, once..

There are a few possibilities here. I know you say its dry but you need to be sure. It may look dry but still damp. Point a hairdryer at the port for 5 minutes. If it still states it then use a toothbrush or a toothpick to give it a little scrape around to see if there is any dirt in there. If its still showing then you should different chargers and cables. If its still showing then its a damaged USB port and a trip to Sammy is likely (unless you can open up phones yourself)

Apps > show system apps > find ( usb settings) force stop and Clean cache and data.
Restart your phone and problem solved.
Works for me.

I have the same issue with this phone. Everytime it rains it tells me there's moisture detected in the USB. And won't let me charge my phone at all. So i just put the hair dryer for a bit and solves my issue.

My S9+ displays this dreaded error. It happens when i turn the ignition off in my vehicle. I need to unplug usb, reset error and plug it back in several times before it will accept charger. Truck needs to be running.
The port was filty i cleaned it with 99% alcohol and dried it very well. It is still doing this and every time i turn the ignition off.

Maybe you will find something useful.
The USB has known issues with corrosion, dirt collection and occasional shorting out.
If you see obvious dirt and grime in the port, you can clean it up a little with a toothpick or toothbrush (if you have one spare!)
You could use compressed air or can-of-air to blow out the port also!
If you remove the battery, you can add a little alcohol to a cotton tip (you know, the ear cleaners!), or a toothbrush for a really good clean. This will also help remove some corosion.
Without a way to block the usb port, this will be a bit of maintenance you will do fairly regularly.

[Q] Charging issue

My SGSII has developed an issue over night.
When I unplugged the charger this morning it stayed as being on charge and the Battery 100% symbol. It randomly flashed up as charging 3 times in a couple of seconds. It can be fine for anywhere between 5minutes and a few hours and then states on charge again.
I have taken the handset appart and can see no liquid damage and the solder on the micro usb port are all good (no dry joints etc) I gave it all a good clean down with IPA.
Since this morning it has done it several times but seems after the battery drops below 90% it no longer does it.
Any ideas on what to check next? known charging issue? possible battery issue?
Please clean your usb port on the phone using canned air or a dry brush. It's mostly a problem with the contacts short-circuiting!

Tried, also used IPA to make sure no residue is on the contacts.
It's strange it hasn't done it after the battery dropped below 90%. If it was a short it'd be doing it all the time.

[Q] SGS2 strange bug

Hey all,
After being fine for almost 12 months, my phone has suddenly developed a bug. Nothing has changed over the last 24hrs, so I am not sure where it has come from.
It started with a notification saying 'activating USB will turn bluetooth off. Continue?'
There was nothing plugged in to the USB at the time, so I'm not sure why it came up.
I clicked 'NO' but it kept happening constantly until I reset the phone. Then when I turned the phone back on, the battery overheat sign came up. It clearly wasn't running hot, but it only went away after I removed the battery.
Then this morning after I unplugged my phone from the charger it said it was still on charge and the 'battery full' notification wouldn't go away. So I reset my phone, and again the overheat sign comes on. Take battery out.....etc.
Now it is telling me that it is on charge (it isn't) and that USB device notification.
Phone is running 2.3.6. Any ideas?
Possible USB port malfunction. Maybe try cleaning it.
Sent from my GT-I9100T
Second that.Clean the port with a cotton bud and cleaning alcohol.
Is Metho ok to use?
I might look up how to take the phone apart and give the insides a proper clean, rather than just poking around the port.
I'll await an answer about the metho before I give it a crack.
Thanks for the replies.
You dont have to take the phone apart
Quite a few people have had problems with dirt in the USB port its caused problems similar to and exactly like yours. All they have done is gone to the chemist,or pharmasy or however its spelt and for a few bucks you can buy cleaning alcohol. It must be this kind because of its high alcohol level it drys quickly and doesnt leave moisture inside when done.A few gentle wipes and thats all it needs.Dont take the phone apart cos the port is closed and it will be of no use.Meth is heavy and will leave alot behind drowning the port again.

Phone dropped in water

Hi. I accidently dropped my Galaxy s2 in water. But I immediately put it in rice and a day later the phone is perfect. I tested features sound, charging everything works. However, the problem is when I connect the device to my computer using a USB it charges the phone, however the computer doesn't recognize it. It says "USB not recognized" How could this be if my phone is being charged? How can I fix it?

I suggest you dry it some more and see if the issue gets resolved. If not, check your USB port to see if it needs cleaning (use a fine brush gently to remove dirt or other accumulations). If nothing else works, you may have to change the USB flex cable.
A day in rice isn't long enough. You need to shut the phone down & remove the battery immediately after being exposed to water (if it didn't auto shutdown) & put it in rice for a week. You've most likely caused permanent damage by using the phone a day after exposure.
If you're lucky a USB board/port change as Neo suggested may fix it, but don't be surprised if it doesn't (I still don't fathom how people drop phones in water).

Bricked my phone - help please

Hello, good day to you, thank you for reading this and attempting to help me, here's what happened:
My Tecno Phantom X slipped into the bathtub from the charging port side, I took it out, dried it, opened it dried it from the inside with medicinal alcohol, left it in the sun for an hour or so, wouldn't turn on, nor charge, so I left it open for 24h, then it started holding a charge, turned on fine and everything except that the fingerprint sensor wouldn't work at all not even show in menu, a few hours later it started randomly turn off, literally randomly, could be in 5 mins or 20, could be when the display is on or not, sometimes it would restart or just turn off OR when it's in the recovery or fastboot screen, so I figured it could be something software, tried soft reset and hard reset, nothing.. I unlocked the booatloader, rooted the phone and attempted to flash a stock rom, SP flash tool would always give me the same error "status brom cmd send da fail" so I tried with ADB, I screwed things up, I flashed with fastboot flash recovery sth.img. Afterwards, it would either show the battery without percentage, or boot into "Tecno, powered by Android" and be stuck there, SP Flash tool gives me the same error as before but still detects it, ADB does NOT detect it whatsoever, I have tried so many things, nothing worked, any help would be really appreciated
Thank you for your time and attention,
Welcome to XDA, water victim
You need resolve the water issue first.
Only anhydrous 99% isopropyl alcohol as a drying agent. NEVER use this on a LCD display as it will poison and destroy it.
Likely the phone wasn't completely dry.
Disconnect the battery. Always do this ASAP when there is water contamination.
Reflush with anhydrous isopropyl alcohol, get as much as the alcohol out of it as possible. If the alcohol gets in between the display and the glass it will leave a water mark.
Clean low pressure (5-10psi) air can be used, carefully!!!
Otherwise use centrificule force to fling it out.
Place on end with a fan blowing on it in a warm, dry room for at least 72 hours. The ribbon connector plugs must be completely dry, removing can speed things but be careful not to damage them. The mobo is also suspectable to ESD damage when out of circuit ie ribbon cable unplugged.
USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT! Adjust according to what you see.
Only after it's completely dry can you do a damage assessment.
Also bare in mind the CPU and maybe other chipsets are BGA's [ball grid arrays).
Their dozens of solder pads are under the chipset with only a very thin gap, the perfect place for water to be trapped. If present this must be completely evaporated... that takes time.
Some heat up to 120F is ok but don't go too nuts.
Keep the display out of direct sunlight.
