Question Call recorder - Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus

Anyone know how to enable the call recorder in US.

Samsung doesn't enable call recording for US.

Your only option would be to root your phone.

Is it possible to get call recorder by changing the CSC from XAA/XAA (model no. SM-S906U1) to any other CSC where Samsung provided Call recording by default, like in India( CSC: INS)? I do not want to root the set.

Use an app for recording calls, it is very easy, also auto-call recording is available in apps!

It is not so simple. If Samsung does not allow call recording out of the box, you can only hear your voice. Sometimes it is a kernel implementation. That's why people search for csc that allows call recording natively

You can use a phone app that allows you to record calls (e.g. ACR Phone) in place of the Samsung phone app. Works for me.

Yeah, I too tried some apps they are not recording properly!!!

Before samsung enabled the built in call recorder in my country, I always used CallRecorder_by_skvalex, that was the only one that worked with my old S8.. it was about 12USD back then I think.. maybe it supports the S22 now

ACR Phone works fine on my S22+ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The US snapdragon version is different from the international snapdragon. International doesn't have mmWave 5G. Don't know if it can brick the device.

Thanks bro, its working YAY
my xml was in root/system/optics/configs/carriers/single/EUX (my CSC code)/conf/system/ and finally cscfeature.xml
copied it to my PC, decoded with OMC text decoder and added these lines right under </FeatureSet>
Code:
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_IPCallPrefix>false</CscFeature_VoiceCall_IPCallPrefix>
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_TotalCallTime>false</CscFeature_VoiceCall_TotalCallTime>
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ServiceNumberDisplay>false</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ServiceNumberDisplay>
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_RemoveCallButtonInLogsList>true</CscFeature_VoiceCall_RemoveCallButtonInLogsList>
encoded back and copied back to my phone, checked the properties for rw-rw-rw-
restarted and viola call recording is working!
the xml looks like this

I have questions:
1) Can I flash the latest firmware product code DBT (A10) through ODIN: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s9-plus/firmware/SM-G965F/DBT/download/G965FXXU7DTAA/313764/
I would like using the HOME_CSC_ file on my S9 + to avoid losing data etc
2) If YES. The call recording will be after update O.K. and It will be still continue? Or do I have to go through factory reset with the Thai SIM again ...?
Thank you in advance for your advice and answers :good:

no idea, but your link to sammobile has an unnecessary click thru. do not post links with click thru's on them.
I think your CSC won't be changed. I also flashed the last DBT firmware and my CSC is still BGL/XEU. I changed my CSC with UK sim card to join in the beta.

XEU is the unknown firmware with multiple CSC's in it, IIRC. Flashing the unknown firmware would require patched Odin as it would technically be carrier flashing, which is totally fine. OP, yes flashing the HOME_CSC will allow you to change the firmware without factory resetting. Unfortunately, im useless when it comes to the call recording part. I hope this helps!

I understand it well? Can I flash firmware DBT A10 on my S9+ THL/XEZ,XEZ/XEF, but the record calling will not be work.
1) After factory reset with Thailand´s SIM the record calling will be back?? Yes or NO?
2) If Yes, It wil be better do it clean flash with use CSC_*** . And after it - factory reset with Thailand´s SIM...

if youre referring to this firmware then i would recommend against it unless you want a paperweight. You technically CAN flash any firmware for any Samsung Galaxy phone on to any other SG phone, but the wrong firmware for the wrong phone will brick it. Thats not to say that you CANT, but you really SHOULDNT.
If you want call recording, id strongly suggest obtaining it thru other methods

So I did THE UPGRADE ...
Flash the latest DBT firmware (A10) through ODIN, I used the HOME_CSC_ file with data retention…
The call recording intact - still working ... :good:
The CSC unchanged after upgrade - I still have THL / XEZ, XEZ / XEF ....

Debranding Samsung Galaxy s21 - android 11 - possible?

Hi
Is there any effective method for debranding Galaxy S21 with android 11?
I have CSC from Play (Polish operator) and I would like to upload XEO. I tried odin and samkey and despite the "positive" completion of the operation (both applications say so), the Play brand is still on the phone.
thanks

2. I don't really care about call recording, but rather about removing operator branding. Is it possible?

Hi
If you have a G991B it should be possible to flash any (exynos) rom , even if the phone is carrier lock .
How did you do it ( the flashing), what files did you use , home_csc or csc?

Hi mate
Native call recording is CSC restricted , some countries do not allow it (by law) maybe UK is one of them.
Two options , change your CSC to one of the countries that allow it ..
Or use an app as i did check it here , lots of settings , works great

Hi
Yes and no , changing the CSC is not quite as easy as it was , check my reply here in how to change CSC.
Now with the no part of the answer , changing to the desire CSC is only possible if the CSC is available in the current rom you have installed if the CSC you wish is not there then you need to flash a new rom .. wiping may not be necessary if you use home-csc instead of CSC file
First step find out what CSC allows native phone recording , second step see if you have tha CSC available in you installed rom....

Question Realme dialer and msg app

Me and my friend bought gt2 pro from turkey and he has realme dialer+sms app but i have google dialer+sms app. Why it's different? I want realme dialer... Idk how its different. Its same phone and bought from same country. warranty etc. Everything same. he has 11.C.16(latest for him) and i have 11.C.13(latest for me) rom version.
You can find out why this is so from Manifest: Image.
What region is my device using.
A simple way to find out the region of your device and does not need a computer, just use your smartphone. Just enter *#6776# in the phone app and you will get the Software Version.Scroll down and there you will find Manifest:Image. From this...

Turkey has a GDPR rom so a Google phone and apparently a Russian version of a Realme phone.

Hocam üstteki başlıkta Bootloader kilidi açmadan OTA dosyası ile bölge değiştirme rehberi var çok basit. Rusya ve Endonezya' OTA'da RealmeUI uygulamaları ve arama kaydı özelliği varmış.
The Russian version definitely has a Realme dialer, but I don't know what dialer Indonesia has. If it is only about recording calls, then all devices that have an export rom can install Realme dialer and recording calls will work.
Call recording will not work on GDPR rom.
Spoiler: Rom type

Then i installed the dialer linked here, set is as default dialer. Seems to work too. But i can not see the call recording option, not in the settings, not during the call. Any ideas?
Open the phone application - Click (two dots at the top right) - Settings - Call recording
Yep, i know, but the call recording setting is not there, also during a call, record button is not present.

Question SOS Emergency Triple Click - turn off?

Hi, I cannot find a way to turn this off, all the google hits show older phones and perhaps ONE UI versions have an option for this.

Thanks for that, This toggle switch wasn't there, for me. BUT , it did make me think , why , then I realised it was probably because I changed CSC for call recording. Switched back CSC , and the toggle button appeared , yeah!.
So , hopefully someone finds this useful. When they hit the same problemo
GUess ill leave call recording alone for now.

The option had to be there always. Now you find it, you can try, either, by switching off now, and probably you can use same CSC, you use before, toggle won´t change the status, or search for a compatible CSC, this information is often in the recovery screen.

To safely change a CSC, it is better to make format data, or flash the custom firmware that works with, so any feature is missed.
Emergency SOS is present since Android 12 regardless the CSC/SKAA/region and/or provisioner.
If you have a muti CSC-enabled device then you can use any without any issues, if not, then have to follow the first.
