Multi Window Support - J500F
Hi @Nick Verse
First of all, Thank You so much for this awesome rom..
I just have one request..
I'm using J500F (Indian Version)..
Can you add Multi Window Support in the next release of this rom for J500F..??
Thanks in advance..
Just use CM13... lol
Cm 13 is not yet stable, fully working. And dont try to undermine other peoples work.
Hi there
Who can help me to understand and solve the following situation: i want to add spelling romanian language to stock cm12.1 keyboard. Romanian language is available only just as language, for entire operation system, not for spelling purposes (is not in the spelling languages list when i try to add it). So, how can i add it whitout installing another app like Google Keyboard? Is possible?
I use Nicke Verse CM12.1 version from 15.07 on a J500FN.
Best!

Propably CyanogenMod official developers didn't add the spelling feature for Romanian language in the official repository! You can contribute in GitHub on your own if you want, or PM a Developer!

Multi-Window support uses Android API 24, which means you will have to wait for Android 7.0!

I was referring to adding multi-window support... because it's kinda buggy if implemented on Lollipop...
I never undermine anyone's work and am currently using Nick Verse's CM12...
Sorry for the misunderstanding...

Updated [Downloads Tab]
Updated SM-J500FN. Next is SM-J500F. Download links will be in the downloads tab from now on.
Audio Latency
We have noticed some longer than usual audio delays a long time ago in CM builds from source.
The main concept is to make the builds as fast responding as possible.
- Currently the audio.primary.msm8916 module is a proprietary blob, because without it in-call audio breaks. (related to proprietary Samsung RIL blobs)
- Disabled AUDIO_OUTPUT_FLAG_FAST, as it is constantly denied in logs even when set in native 44100 sampling rate.

If anyone is familiar with building sources and is aware of the issue, please contact me.
Updated [Downloads Tab]
Updated SM-J500F
@Nick Verse
Thank you for your awesome work!
I think I'll test the new version later.
By the way, I think you should mention in OP how to download, because some people use the old XDA theme (2010), including me (but I know how to download) and they can't see the project tabs unless they switch to at least 2013 theme.
EDIT:
@Nick Verse : When you go to downloads tab, there is download link. You can put it in OP as direct download link, but people will still have to switch to at least 2013 theme. Maybe you can put the link of downloads tab too. It's your choice
PS: limited to thanks button -_-

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Hi @Shreesha.Murthy,
First of all nice work !
I might have found a bug in developer options, under OEM unlocking; it seems we can't turn it on, as it fallback to off immediately after.

Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
MULTIROM Support is discontinued! Use any TWRP recovery available for our device!!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
Installing through Multirom for Oreo builds...
If you wanted to kept Stock as Primary & GZR Builds on Secondary:
Make sure you do Backup First!
1.Unlock the bootloader via Fastboot Commands Unlock Bootloader
2.Flash Multirom TWRP Recovery via Fastboot CommandTWRP-multirom-sanders-20171016-02.img
3.Flash Magisk V14.0
After booting into recovery, you need to do a factory reset.
Then reboot into recovery again.
Wipe System, Cache, Dalvik/art cache, data
Flash Rom Zip file and gapps
Reboot
Note: If you set Fingerprint + Pattern/ Pin on Primary/Stock then you need to flash a Lock Fix file on Primary
Lockfix.zip
Rooting:
Ground Zero ROMs are not shipped rooted. Flash your favorite root apps like Magisk/SuperSU or any other. After flashing, your device may boot twice before boot animation, don't worry it'll be fine after that.
Theming:
Substratum support is there as long as you have root and latest Substratum app. Some themes may have a little catching up to do, have fun testing them!
Reporting Issues:
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.
Few Notes:
Xposed is not supported here, if you want to run it and have issues, try an Xposed thread for support and bug reports here only welcome with a clean install with no Xposed present.
Selinux is permissive for now.
Make sure to state which rom you are running when asking for support

You need to port the libs also.
Maybe for oreo first motorola should release oreo for us and give us the sources.
When updating all that is needed is to wipe dalvik and cache correct? Or if I don't wipe system too will it be a dirty flash update? Just curious thanks! I'm loving the room smooth and fast and stable! ?
One more question is there anyway you get the Verizon brand off the status bar it was nowhere to be found in settings

Actually the thread was remade lol
Cool DotOS is always my favorite, gonna install it. But I'm currently on CFWv4.
Do I need to go back to MIUI first (by using SP FLASH tool and do full flash) ??
Also, do I need to install non-CFW recovery ??
What else I need to install ??

You sir plox backup and flash and let me know on TG kthxbye
Installed it, just found 1 problem so far,
It cannot read my MicroSD card, and it says corrupted, although it works just fine on TWRP lol. After some google search, someone said it is because it does not support exFAT file system. The solution is to use FAT32 file system.
But man, it's FAT32...
Can you confirm this OP?
No camera on this build, it's missing here

Are you sure the Front Camera works on the newer hardware versions??
I don't see any specific Kernel commits that would indicate the problem is now resolved unless your own kernel versions has updated/ported the camera driver ?
Please bare us newer device owners in mind when releasing firmwares and state in the OP if the firmware supports our device's camera or not.
Great work and THANKS! for supporting this great phone
There is MediaTek/Mi kernel source for the s5k3t2 using sunny or ofilm lenses but maybe they could work with other lenses IDK maybe some trial and error is needed. s5k3t2sunnymipiraw & s5k3t2ofilmmipiraw https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Ke...ivers/misc/mediatek/imgsensor/src/common/v1_1

Same here... I have no choice but to format it and use it as an internal storage just so that I can use it. This is commonly an issue to A11 ROMs out there.

I see from the filename it's a vanilla version without Gapps.
Does it have signature spoofing already for use of microG?

I'm really happy to see crDroid now on the Redmi Note 10 - I used crDroid already on 2 other phones and in my opinion it's the best custom ROM!
This first build is already excellent, with all the customisation features and only the above mentioned, few bugs.
For use with microG however it shares the similar (but not the same) problems I encountered with dotOS:
- all of my banking apps don't work (with dotOS 2 of 3 worked).
- DHL parcel, Wolt, Flightradar24 etc report problems with missing play services and force close or don't show maps (same in dotOS).
- Uber app works (it doesn't with dotOS).
I tried it also with Gapps now (NikGapps Core Version), flashed via ADB sideload.
Situation a bit better than with microG.
DHL parcel, Wolt etc work now with the Google Maps Interface.
Two banking apps still making problems and complaining about modified operating system.
This doesn't happen with EvolutionX 5.7 ROM for Redmi Note 10, there all banking apps work.

It's bcaz evox is not vanilla, it comes with gapps, so play store certification exists.
You know even dotos vanilla had same problems.
Use GApps roms for hazzle free banking experience.

2. Reconfigure the Default "Phone" app to dialer.
I've just flashed this rom, WiFi can't be turned on even after I flash the latest firmware, any help please? Or I have to flash the rom again?
Edit: Maybe there's a problem with TWRP, I switched back to lineage recovery and it works fine now.
