Question Pixel 6 wifi bug - Google Pixel 6

I got pixel 6 2 months ago .. when I unboxed I couldn't connect to wifi cause it couldn't find any wifi network ... After February update the problem still remains even after March update... I can connect by putting my device in airplanemode then reboot the device and my device can connect to any wifi without any problem and I can switch airplamode off and still connected ... Who has this bug too van we find a fix for it .. and thanx..

I just got my Pixel 6 about a week ago and don't have this issue. The phone came with the Jan update and I updated to the March update (skipped Feb update because of its issues). Since this is likely a software issue, I'm thinking a factory reset (without restoring from backup) may help you?

Before the big hassle of resetting the phone, maybe try a smaller hassle first. When a network device has trouble looking up names it could be time to flush the router's DNS cache. For home routers this usually means a factory reset if the firmware doesn't have the option.

have you tried a network reset back to default values?
i cant remember where i saw it, but its a feature

Ive tried every method from network reset to factory reset to full flash firmware .... Nothing happened ... Same problem still there

Is this only happening with one access point? If yes, maybe the AP has a configuration which is not suitable for ur phone.
I personally never experienced any WiFi issues since I have the mobile.
Cheers
Tom

I was going to say much the same - find a friend/family AP to test with to compare.

I tried another 5 ap...still problem

AFAIK not all drivers can be modified because they are not all open source , i guess your tablet is chinease and very cheap , maybe it is just a hardware issue , do you have the same problem when you try to connect to another router (in a public place , your friend's....)? , since when did you start having this problem i mean did you already manage to connect to that same router with your tablet while being farther than 5 meters? and are your other devices connecting without problems to your router ?

AFAIK the only way to be sure if it is a software (android?) or a hardware issue is to reset your device after backing up everything (nandroid backup if rooted or something else), if the problem is still present after reseting your device i am 90% sure it is a hardware issue , in this last case you can go to your manufacturer support center or send them your device to repare it , if your device is still under wanrenty it might be free of charge , if it is a software issue , resseting your device should solve the issue but you will lose your data (if you backed up your apps on your sd or on the cloud it will be easy to get them back) , to reset your device if you are rooted (after backing up everything) go to your custom recovery (twrp , clockworkmod...) and then go to factory reset (or something like that :silly: ) and select the only "yes" option that you will see in the screen , if you are not rooted (stock rom) you normally will find an option for resetting on system settings/personal/backup and reset (i am on cm9 it might be different for you but just look for reset option in settings you might be asked for your gmail account to be sure you are the owner of the device) , normally resetting is a natural process but i am not responsible for any damage that might happen to your device (be careful with cwm and BACK UP everything)

[Help] No Wi-Fi Signal

Hi,
I have an official firmware 4.3 Galaxy S3 UK Variant with no modifications. For about the past week the phone has decided to drop the connection to my Wi-Fi network if I got more than 3 steps away from the router. My router doesn't seem to be the problem since I have no such problems with any other devices like my laptop and the Galaxy Tab. Seems a strange problem since I have no idea why it has surfaced.
Any help will be helpful.
Reset router, factory reset phone, reflash latest firmware in that order.
After that it's hardware.

Thanks for the reply. Done a factory reset which may or may not have fixed the problem, will have to run with it for a while to see the effect. Did have a look around this forum and others for a solution but couldn't find anything apart from disabling wi-fi power save.

Problem:Cellular Network in Oneplus X

So,
I bought this phone on the day it was launched, its been more than 3 months and had no issue with the device. I rooted the phone , experimented with Xposed and other apps but for the past few days i was experiencing this strange problem. Cellular network was not running on my phone, i changed the sim, swithed the devices on/off several times , did everything i could do in the os, changing the mode to 3G from LTE and vica versa, etc etc .. but still no luck. The cellular network sometimes comes and goes. Then i opted for last resort which was to factory reset the phone, after resetting it the cellular network worked but i don't know if this is a permanent solution. If you have anything to add please share.
Regards,
Saransh
Sorry nothing much to share but i suspect you install some apps or did something to your rom so the network screwed. My suggestion is you nandroid backup every week (at least) so you can revert back when something happened.
Tried factory reset
I have tried factory reset but still having this issue. Maybe it's a hardware issue. I don't get it , everything was working fine few days ago then all of a sudden this **** happened.

You need a motherboard replacement.
If your phone is still covered by warranty, you can send it to a Motorola repair center to have it fixed (and wait 2 or 3 months).

Then there is no solution.
Mine is still under warranty, I sent it to Motorola two months ago, and they have NOT fixed it yet.
I will NEVER buy another Moto again.
I had this problem with wifi (mac 02:00...) and it came out to be a 100% software problem. I got it as a result of unsuccessful BL unlock, twrp, then root... Finally I decided to get back to locked BL and stock ROM. And "voila!" my wifi is back and is fully functional...
Very Well

Congrants :good:
That is a great new for all of us (if the cause is the same of course).
now the big question, how did you do it?. You could be a little more specific please.
1. what stock frimware you used?
I try whit this (XT1650-03_GRIFFIN_RETAIL_7.1.1_NPLS26.118-20-5-3_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip) this because the build number of my moto z in this moment is NPLS26.118-20-5-3 but i dont sure.
The Frimware i got it from this web https: //mirrors.lolinet.com/ firmware/moto/griffin/official/RETUS/
2. You previous version ROM ( 7.1.1. ) of android corresponse to the new version stock (7.1.1.) you used to flash or are diferents ??.
3. The Build Number Version was equals?
Thanks for your time!!
i got it fixed when i formatted my cell from recovery now wifi is working but bluetooth is not so definitely its not the hardware issue its only related to software
I have a similar problem with wifi (and hotspot) in my Moto Z. Wifi MAC is 02:00:00:00:00:00.
The battery is also drained really quick - it lasts only 1 day.
The problem occurred a few days ago without any good reason - I did not update nor install anything lately. I tried wiping cache - no success.
edit:
MAC has returned to normal, bluetooth is working.
Wifi still does not find any networks.
My battery mod does not charge the phone - I have no idea why

How did you got it back ? Explain something
I did not get it back - wifi still does not work, only MAC returned to normal.
I did not do anything special - just discharged and recharged the phone a few times.
Yesterday I reflashed the kernel (latest TurboZ), wiped cache and power drainage has returned to normal, but MAC is again 02:00:00:00:00:00. No idea why.

Question How i solved my wifi issues on my s23Ultra

I pre-order my galaxy s23U so I have this phone from the beginning.
I didn't have any problems with wifi until February security patch update.
My wifi is wifi 5 (no 6 ) so I couldn't find any excuses for my disconnections on wifi.
When I realized the problem I tried to fix it running galaxy app booster from galaxy guardians, but didn't work.
1)Restart didn't work.
2)Format wifi cache didn't work ,so last step was to Hard reset my device or re-download rom and flash it from Odin....
3)As soon as I don't know how to flash rom from Odin I hard reset my phone and wifi problem solved...
