Fingerprint Recognition Method - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

If the fingerprint sensor is located on the power button of the Xiaomi smartphone, we can define when the device should be unlocked when the screen is turned off.
The following options are available on MIUI for this:
Touch: Just place your finger on the sensor without pressing the power button
Press: Place the finger on the sensor and press the power button
(Refer Attachment)
I wonder whether the same option is there in any rom for Redmi Note 9 Pro? Anyone pls reply.

[Q] i have to push the power button 3 times for the lockscreen to detect my finger

ever since the day i bought my note, i have had to unlock it using this pattern:
1. press the power button and wait for the screen to turn on
2. press the power button to turn off the screen
3. press the power button and wait for the screen to turn on, the screen will now detect my finger.
this happens both with a pattern locked screen or an unprotected lock screen
if i use the s-pen the screen unlocks the first time i turn it on, but if i want to use my finger the power button needs to be tapped 3 times or else i can drag my finger across the screen and it wont detect it
this really sucks how do i fix this?
it does this fully stock, rooted, or with CWM 5.5.0.4 installed

Haven't heard this before, I'd suggest unroot your Note, and see if its still the same (most likely will be), and get it swapped in warranty.

[Q] Fingerprint Scanner going crazy

Did a search and didn't find anything related.
So, I have always used the Fingerprint Scanner to unlock my phone.
The process goes (as i'm sure you're all very familiar)
1. Press the Rear Power Button/FP Scanner to wake the phone
2. Swipe my Finger Downward and the phone unlocks
What happens as of late is I press the power button to wake the phone
and then w/o swiping my phone begins to vibrate and the screen informs me that I'm swipping my finger too fast over and over again with continuous vibration. It will still read my FP but it sometimes takes a couple of tries.as it already thinks i've put it in.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions for a fix?

Redmi note 4 Snapdragon version

My capacitative buttons may be auto clicking,I'm saying this because when I enter 1 handed mode screen, the tutorial demo is shown like 10x faster as if the buttons are being clicked fast, the buttons itself are working fine but sometimes the home button which I've assigned recent apps doesn't respond to long presses
Could it be a software issue or a quality control isdue

Turning screen off with an app

I came to Samsung from HTC and one of the inconveniences I am having with the s9+ is turning the screen off. Of course I can turn screen off with the power button, but I prefer to turn off by a double press or a long press. Since I could not find a way of doing those I tried to use an app to turn screen off. The app works well in turning off screen, but the problem is after turning screen off, I cannot unlock the phone with the fingerprint scanner or any of the other unlocking sensors. I can only unlock with PIN if I turn off screen with the app. This is the app that I have been using. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock&hl=en
Appreciate if anyone can help me find a way around for this problem of fingerprint and other sensors not working after screen off with an app.
It's a security measure.. I suggest using this:

There's a lock button that won't disable the finger print and stuff. Hope this helps
I use an app named screen off. It puts a button on your home screen to shut it off. Then just double tap the home button to turn it back on.

Thanks. I tried that and it works without disabling the fingerprint and other sensors. Only thing is it takes two touches to turn off the screen.
Take a look at Lock Screen Pro, it has an option in its settings that will allow fingerprint and iris scanner to work after locking with an app symbol you added to your homescreen. If you use bxActions you can also lock your device with the bixby button!
Use Nova Launcher, better than Touchwiz and has a setting built in for double tap screen off, no problems here with finger print sensor. No need for secondary app.
Long-press on home button
Try a long-press on the home button. A long-press turns on and off the Samsung S9+.
I knew of its function to light the screen, but was unaware that it would close the display.
Greenify is installed on my phone, and a message appears, stating that Greenify is still working, and that I can press the power button, if I want to stop it, then the screen is off.

Fingerprint question

Guys, has anyone found out how to unlock this phone without actually pressing the power button in order to put the fingerprint, is it a phone limitation or just mine, when screen is off I tried to unlock it with my fingerprint and until I press the power button or the AOD shows I can unlock it
