Nord N10 5G T-Mobile version - OnePlus Nord N10 5G Questions & Answers

Hey all,
I have followed every guide I could search, for over a month, before joining/posting.
I was successful (THIS YEAR) at shorting pins and installing Lineage on a Mustang Amazon Fire 7 tablet, with the newest Fire OS available.... so I'm not stupid.
I am STUCK! on Dot OS or Pixel Experience for my Nord...
none of the other custom roms seem to work, and I've tried every which way to go back to stock...
are all the other custom roms just broken?
is the tmobile payload dump and fast boot flash not a viable option?
Any help would be appreciated.

Which ROM for hdx7

Hi there!
i am new to the kindle tablets and on looking into this branch of xda
i am confused as i dont know which ROM i can use.
to make it short: i want a stock Android on my hdx7.
thanks und cheers
el loco
As far as i know there os only one Rom available here, called hdx nexus. Should be stock Android. I actually cant flash it for testing, because i have a wrong software version installed. If someone knows how to downgrade from 13.3.2.5 to 13.3.2.4 please post a link/tutorial or something like that.
I'm in the same situation as Arthuro88. My HDX 7 is running Fire OS 4.5.1 and I can't use the root technique I found (or towelroot). Has anyone found a way to root this version yet?
I got one of the last, apparently old, HDX's in the store. Luckily for me it had the older firmware on it and I knew better than to register it with Amazon right out of the box. I rooted the device, installed Safestrap, and then realized that Nexus 2.0.1 required a new rev of the firmware. So I upgraded *manually* to the mid-release firmware (the newest older version that was still rootable), hit it with Towel to root it, and flashed it to Nexus 2.0.1. All in all it is a VERY nice ROM. It works extremely well, and has only crashed on me once. My problem with it is that it doesn't support the 4G/LTE radio in my version of the HDX. To be clear: the WiFi works fine, but not the cellular carrier signal I'm getting charged for monthly.
So again- go with Nexus 2.0.1.
As for me, my original plan was to get Kali Linux running on my HDX. I'm shelving that for now and trying to port Firefox OS (Mozilla's Linux-based OS for phones and tablets) to the HDX. None of the "Big Brother" crap from Amazon (FireOS) or Google (Android). Plus it's completely open for development and all apps are basically Javascript_HTML5/CSS since it's web-oriented in its philosophy. I'd post a link but I'm still under my 10 post count. If anyone is interested in helping with the porting project I have a thread already started on this forum.

Android OS on projectors like the Nebula Mars

]The Nebula Mars, which is made by an offshoot of Anker, comes with a custom OS running on Android 4.4. For the unfamiliar, it offers a decent projector in a small size, combined with a battery for portability.
Since this isn't a phone running a typical phone ROM, I'm hesitant to root it and start tinkering, but the stock OS and software is absolute crap. The system allows updates and installation of APKs, but the company says they have no intention of issuing a firmware/ROM update.
Any advice on where to find others who have this device and are also interested in modifying the OS or updating to a newer version of Android? Any recommendations on approaches to non-destructively modifying the OS? I don't think it has a separate partition for restoring prior ROMs, and I'm just inexperienced enough that I'd end up bricking it.
Same question about the Nebula Mars Lite model
So I webd to Walmart and found that they sell the lite model for $349. The problem is that there is no android at all. I am not sure if the hardware is any different because both models look identical. I wonder if there is a way to either install the original mars OS on it or something better ie costom rom of some kind.
Hey ! I'm also interesting in upgrading the OS of my nebula Mars... Any news for this project? Thanks !

just grabbed the Lite version ($180 at my walmart) and it looks like it is running android (lollipop it looks like, PC shows "lollipop" when connected to the wifi settings page) but it's locked away behind it's launcher...
that's all I was able to figure out.
Nebula Mars 2 is on the market with Android 7.1. Anyone trying to port it to Mars 1 please?

Asus Zenfone V520KL - TWRP and Lineage OS 15.1

I was wondering if anyone had a workaround to bring TWRP and the most stable version of Lineage OS 15.1 to the Asus Zenfone V520KL (don't get it confused with the V500KL)? I tried the following websites, but they keep asking me for stupid surveys!
https://topadsi.com/how-to-unlock-b...stom-recovery-and-root-asus-zenfone-v-v520kl/
https://qitapso.com/how-to-install-twrp-custom-recovery-on-asus-zenfone-v-v520kl/
http://cbrandro.science/read/androi...e-v-v520kl_to-android-oreo-8-simple-step.html
And the Autoroot tools APK was no help either. I did what was asked in one of the apps, but it didn't let me in to discover TWRP and the Lineage OS ROM.
Can someone provide me with a workaround to get TWRP and a stable Lineage OS for my Asus Zenfone V520KL? Thanks.

I just bought this phone as well, it would be nice to have TWRP and Xposed on it. But I still cant find a way to do it.
Just Pick it up too, I haven't looked too far yet. For the ZE520KL they use a bootloader unlock tool
I just saw this phone it was going very cheap for a S820 device, but I had to held back because of laggy Zen UI although build was great its like a glass sandwiched HTC 10

OnePlus Firmware on OnePlus Nord N10 MetroPCS phone

From doing some searching it looks like other OnePlus phones can run the stock firmware on cell provided phones. Can I run the OnePlus version of Oxygen OS on my metro OnePlus Nord N10 or do I have to always wait on the slow carrier updates to be rolled out? This is my primary phone so I don't want to brick it by trying to do it. Was just wondering if anyone else had tried it and what their experience was?

I doubt it: Porting ROMs is not an easy process, it could mess with your hardware: Wi-Fi/BT/Camera/Data not working.
But I actually wanted to read some more opinions on this.
Now about bricking your phone: After you unlock the bootloader, you can always flash back the original ROM (I think it's available on the OP website). OP's default bootloader should do the trick but for extra precautions, you can always try flashing TWRP.
I've been seeing the MSMDownloadTool for flashing stock images to the phone with MetroPCS by T-Mobile and T-Mobile build numbers and people saying that the OnePlus is almost impossible to brick and not be able to fix it. I saw where someone said it can be flashed in the EDL mode and bypasses the greyed out Enable OEM Unlocking too.
Won't work. Modern OnePlus devices are locked by model number and device build.
Honestly, you won't even get the transfer started before it quits on you.

Linage OS working on s912

Hey All
Stumbled across this site
https://www.evolutiontv-vs.com/uncategorized/
https://www.evolutiontv-vs.com/uncategorized/блог-системных-файлов.html
In their firmware section i noticed they had a AOSP android 10 listed for s912 devices and figured i would give it a shot.
Its basically a Linage OS android 10.
SO far things seem to be working fine. I have it running on my Alfawise H96 Pro +.
Direct link to firmware here https://mega.nz/file/fIcBXCBY#RTtLXh1zBKsS6YQbmQI_OkAdnaEghhxOrK5MvDeqG2M
Anyone else tried this ?
Yeah I have tried it last year, I still prefer ATV, waiting since then for someone to port AOSP to ATV
tried this with my H96 Pro+ Firmware CZ-S32-v2.2 (DDR3)...
too barebones for my taste... also i dunno which gapps to flash for this so i cant install anything without sideloading (i tried mindthegapps 10 which is what is usually prescribed for LoS)
hopefully it could be used as a base for new development on our devices going forward...
