With Magisk apk.

It's doesn't appear to have that option. Is there a guide I can use?

I downloaded this:
Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro / Note 10 Lite (curtana) India (IN) Fastboot & Recovery ROM | XiaomiROM.com
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro / Note 10 Lite (curtana) India (IN) official ROM, include stable, weekly and beta MIUI firmware which can be updated …
bit.ly
Now it's saying I have a Redmi 10 Lite? LOL what's up with that. Phone's UI is lagging in performance too.

The link you quoted only refers to recovery zips and cannot be used with Miflash.
You have probably used a rom that does not match the model of your phone.

OK, where can I get the factory model? I tried flashing the Global version and it got a bit better but not sure if that's the correct image.

If you have a india model flash a india fastboot rom.

I got it, thanks. TBH I'm not even sure I have the Indian model, I think I just remember seeing that from a while back. How would i find out exactly, is there an online resource I can look it up on?

How to Flash TWRP and ROOT Xiaomi Mi Note2

I had posted tutorial on How to Flash TWRP and ROOT Xiaomi Mi Note2 in miui forum link below
http://en.miui.com/thread-415853-1-1.html
Not a single response?
Tested and working fine people with the GLOBAL ROM version?
Thanks, new Mi user here and I used parts of the tutorial and have working root. I did not flash the root zips proposed, as I do not know them, I flashed SuperSu for root as soon as I had a working TWRP.
My bootloader was already unlocked by reseller and some unofficial global ROM was flashed on it. :crying:

I'll take donations though for anyone else with GLOBAL ROM phone wanting to know if it will work...
I am using v20 at the moment and really hoping to get root. It's a better phone with root, but without is really making it hard.

Moved from OnePlus 3 to the Mi Note 2 6GB 128GB.
The method works... Thank you, I downloaded the latest SuperSu to root and that works too...
Flashed a clean ROM from: http://mi-globe.com/index.php/rom-builder/
Flashed Xposed Framework from SolarWarez 64
So now I have everything working... Amazing device, I have LTE in Canada

Non-existing ROM?
Hello guys,
I received my Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Global version from Gearbest, but I gues there's something not right with it. I have MIUI v8.2.9 (I just read news about 8.2 coming for some Xiaomi devices today). I have this system, since I got the phone (more, than a week). It really is global ROM, since I have a lot of languages, it supports B20 4G, however this ROM is soemthing non-existing stuff. It says Android version is 6.0, MIUI is v8.2, that quite not right. Any suggession on what the heck this is, is very much appreciated!

Should I be worried? urgent!

Hi, I bought a used Redmi note 3 pro (SD) today.. the guy whom I bought the phone from made a factory reset (that's what I was told) and the MIUI version now is 8.2.4.0 Global.. I have no experience at all in Xiaomi devices, I put a sim card and it was detected but there is no signal, also the Radio is off in both sims when dialing *#*#4636#*#*, I have spent the last two hours searching how to solve this problem and there seems to be no definite solution.. I don't want to mess up with the device since I can return it back tomorrow.. IMEI numbers are both there, what do you guys advise me to do? should I return it or try some solutions?? thanks in advance..
Just return it? I mean you could probably fix it, but do you really want to?

Well sounds like your Redmi Note 3 is the kate variant, with a kenzo ROM flashed on it, or the other way around. Easiest way to find out is to measure it. Kenzo is 150mm tall, while Kate is 152mm.
Kenzo and kate firmwares are different, so that could possibly be why you are not getting any signal.
EDIT: If that's the case, that could be hard to fix. I'd still suggest returning it, and perhaps ordering a new Redmi Note 4 from China, or see if the place/guy can fix it for you.

here is what I tried so far
1) Flashed the latest Kate ROM via fastboot (after unlocking the bootloader) and via EDL before that >>> Same issue
2) Flashed several developer and stable global roms >>> three of them deleted the baseband, two of them gave the same previous issue
3) Flashed latest global and TWRP and flashed several kate Firmwares >> same
4) same as 3) with flashing KATE_NX-RADIOS.zip >> also the same
5) flashed official Lineage OS 14.1 alone >> same issue
6) same as 5) with flashing firmwares and KATE_NX-RADIOS.zip >> bootloop
7) same as 5) and 6) with official Lineage OS 13 >> same main issue...
is there something I am missing? is there anything I can do more??

First downgrade to latest MIUI 9 stable build and after that flash whatever rom you want
I have a Redmi note 5 AI 6/64 gb variant. After purchasing my device i have unlockd the bootloader and flash global stable rom but i can't relock the bootloader. my previous rom was MIUI 9.5.21.0 China and my current rom is MIUI 9.5.17.0. If i relock the bootloader phone boot into recovery mode and shows "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device". If i unlocked the bootloader again then phone reboot into OS. As per my findings from MIUI 9.5.6.0 bootloader can't be locked after flashing global rom on Chinese device. Its a bug from xiaomi. So my question is
1. If i flash my device into 9.2.7.0 can i relock my bootloader again and can perform OTA update?
2. I have got an OTA update MIUI 9.6.3.0. If i update my device will it get bricked? If i can update my device via OTA update will it relock my bootloader automatically? Or do I have to flash it manually?

First this forum is not for your device. Correct forum is redmi note 5 pro (your device is named pro in India and xda forum is named pro too).
Second you can't flash global version on Chinese phone with locked bootloader. If you want global version you have to keep bootloader unlocked. You can apply OTA on global and it doesn't lock your bootloader.

Is WHYRED which is Note 5 Pro the first phone to have ARB implemented?
Thank you.

I'm on Xiaomi.eu 11.0.2.0 Stable, would it be safe to flash the Global stable which is 11.0.1.0?
This may be a stupid question but how do I install this? ? Through mi flash tool?

If you're already on a Global stable ROM (PFAMIXM), you can just put the file in your devices internal storage and update through the system updater.

Not entirely sure if that will be possible with a locked BL.
I'm sure the update for EEA will be out soon.

Some reaction from those who flashed it, would be good Is it works good? What bugs do you have? I'm thinking to try it, but don't know if it worth to move from eu rom
is there a link to a stable version not beta that posted in the first page of this topic?
