Ein H990DS mit rootrechten und TWRP und einem aktuellen TWRP Wiederherstellungsabbild
Einen Rootfähigen Dateimanager. Du musst unter umständen die Ordner berechtigungne ändern je nachdem welchen Dateimanager du wählst. Ich empfehle den Total Commander. (Die version aus dem Play Store ist in Ordnung aber die Forumsversion kann mehr)
Solltest du den Total Commander wählen navigiere to den Einstellungen und aktiviere die Einstellung Root Funktionen Überall (die zweit letzte Einstellung) außerdem wäre es Empfehlenswert die Funktion Seitliches Rollen zu deaktivieren. Die Sim Karte sollte im Slot 0 (internen Slot) stecken, da nicht alle VoLTE Einstellungsoptionen sichtbar werden, wenn der Einstellungsprozess zum ersten mal im Slot 1 (äußerer Slot) gestartet wird.
Requirements:
A rooted H990DS with TWRP and an current TWRP Backup
A root enabled file explorer. You might still need to adjust the folder permissions depending on your file manager. I recommend Total Commander. (The version from the Play Store is fine for this process but the Forum Version is more capeable)
If you are using the Total Commander go into the settings activate root functions everywhere (second to last option) and you might want to deactivate side scrolling. Put the simcard into Slot 0 (intern Slot) as, not all VoLTE Settings will show up when, its placed into Slot 1 (outer slot) during the intitial setup.

Es könnten möglicherweise nötig werden einige Zusatzeinstellungen im HiddenMenü durchzuführen bevor alles richtig funktioniert also verliere nicht die hoffnung wenn es nicht direkt klappt.

Gehe sicher dass du ein H990DS hast
Ich habe die cust Dateien auf einem H990DS mit der modernsten australischen KDZ getested, aber die Anleitung sollte auch auf anderen KDZs funktionieren.
-Schritt 0
Downloade und extrahiere meine Dateien, dann kopiere die European Com und Vodafone Service App Ordner auf dein Gerät; vorzugsweise in einen leeren Ordner (ringtones zum Beispiel, oder erstelle einen neuen)
-Schritt 1
Öffne deinen Rootfähigen Dateimanager und begebe dich in dein Systemhauptverzeichniss
Öffne system
Öffne das bulid.prop
Ändere ro.product.locale=en-US (oder was auch immer sonst dort steht) zu de-DE (oder welches Land du Einstellen möchtest(benötigt aber je Land einen Code den man Sicherheitshalber nachrecherchiert))
Setze ein # vor die erste Instanz von ro.telephony.default_network=10
Setze ein # vor die erste Instanz von telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
Setzte eine 10 hinter das = bei der zweiten Instanz von ro.telephony.default_network=
Trage telephony.lteOnGsmDevice=1 über der zweiten Instanz von telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=
Setzte eine 0 hinter die zweite Instanz von telephoney.lteOnCdmaDevice=
Speichere und Schließe das bulid.prop
Gehe aus system
-Schritt 2
Öffne cust
!MACHE EIN BACKUP VON ALL DEINEN ALTEN CUST DATEIEN!
-Schritt 3
Lösche alle dateien und Ordner welche sich in /cust befinden nachdem du sie gesichert hast
Füge alle Dateien aus dem European Com Ordner in /cust ein
-Schritt 4
Öffne die Telefon App
Tippe *#546368#*990# in das Wählfeld was das HiddenMenü öffnen sollte
-Schritt 5
Öffne das SVC Menü
Öffne CRCWIZARD Test
Navigiere zu Auto MID
GEHE SICHER DAS IMEI, Wifi MAC und BT Adresse abgewählt sind!!!
Gib NT Code ein Häkchen
Öffne das NTCode Auswählmenü und suche nach OPEN_EU
Wähle OPEN_EU aus
Überprüfe nochmals das sich nur bei NTCode ein Häkchen befindet
Drücke MID Write
Gehe aus CRCWizard
Gehe aus SVC Menü
-Schritt 6
Gehe in das Field Test Menü
Gehe in GPRI VoLTE/VoWifi
Gehe in UX
Füge zu den ersten 6 Optionen ein Häkchen hinzu (wenn schon welche aktiviert sind zählen die dazu)
Gehe aus UX GPRI Setting
-Schritt 7
Öffne IMS
Gehe sicher das VoLTE und VoWifi aktiviert sind und wenn nicht aktiviere sie
Öffne Registration
Öffne Volte
Aktiviere VoLTE Indication
Schliesse das HiddenMenü
-Schritt 8 (nur wenn du Vodafone nutzt)
Öffne deinen Rootfähigen Dateimanager
Kopiere den inhalt von dem Vodafone Service Ordner, namentlich den OSAVodafone Ordner, aus dem von dier gewählten Ordner nach /system/priv-app
Installiere die OSAVodafoneUpdates apk (befindet sich im kopierten Ordner)
(Bin mir aber nicht sicher ob diese Systemapp gebraucht wird) APP wird nicht benötigt.
-Schritt 9
Starte dein H990DS neu
English Tutorial H990DS:
-Step -1
Make sure you have an H990DS
I tested it on an H990DS with the most modern australian KDZ, but this should work on other KDZs
-Step 0
Download my files, extract them and put the European Com and Vodafone Service App folders on your device; preferably in an empty folder (ringtones for example, or create a new one)
-Step 1
Go into your root enabled file explorer and manouver to the system main folder
Open system
Open bulid.prop
change ro.product.locale= from en-US (or whatever else my be written there) to de-DE (or whichever country you want to set(better research the correct wording of your countrie code))
put a # infront of the first instance of ro.telephony.default_network=10
put a # infront of the first instance of ro.telephony.lteOnCdmaDevice=1
put a 10 behind the = in the second instance of ro.telephony.default_network=
put a 0 behind the = in the second instance of telephoney.lteOnCdmaDevice=
exit the bulid.prop
-Step 2
!BACKUP ALL OF YOUR OLD CUST FILES!
-Step 3
Delete all files in /cust with an root enabled file explorer after backing them up
Put the files of the European Com folder into /cust
-Step 4
Go into your dialer app
Type *#546368#*990# This will open the HiddenMenu
-Step 5
Open the SVC Menu
Open CRCWIZARD Test
Go into Auto MID
MAKE SURE TO UNCHECK IMEI, Wifi MAC and BT Adress!!!
Check NT Code
Open the drop down Menü and search for OPEN_EU
Choose OPEN_EU
Double check that you havent checked any other Option
Press MID Write
Exit CRCWIZARD
Exit the SVC Menu
-Step 6
Enter the Field Test menü
Enter GPRI VoLTE/VoWifi
Enter UX
Check the first 6 Options (If there are already activated ones they count aswell
Exit UX GPRI Setting
-Step 7
Enter IMS
Make sure VoLTE and VoWifi Enabled is true if not check it
Enter Registration
Enter VoLTE
Check VoLTE Indication
Close the HiddenMenu
-Step 8 (only if you are using Vodafone)
Open your root enabled file manager
Copy the content of the Vodafone Service file namely the OSAVodafoneUpdates folder, from your choosen folder to /system/priv-app
Install OSAVodafoneUpdates
(Not sure if the systemapp is really needed) APP is not needed.
-Step 9
Restart your phone

Die Tatsächliche aktivierung des VoLTEs nach jedem neustart braucht etwas Zeit. Die Zeitspanne kann verkürzt werden indem man manuell 2G/3G/4G als bevorzugten Netzwerkmodus ein den Mobilfunk Netzwerk Einstellungen auswählt was VoLTE und die gesamte mobilfunkverbiender sehr viel schneller verfügbar macht. Die wird auch automatisch geschehen dauert aber wesentlich länger. Das könnte daran liegen, dass das gerät zuerst nach australischen cust Dateien sucht oder, dass ich Irgenntwo einen Fehler gemacht habe.
Information:
The actual activation of VoLTE after every restart takes some time . You can cut that time short by manually choosing 2G/3G/4G as the preferred Network mode in the network setting after every restart to activate VoLTE and the mobile reception as a whole faster. It will get there automatically to but it will take some time. This might be due to the fact that the phone first checks for the australian cust files or, that i made a mistake somewhere.

Die Wochentage auf dem Second Screen werden nun mit deutschen Abkürzungen dargestellt.
VoWifi sollte Funktionieren. Aber da ich es nicht wirklich brauche habe ich nicht wirklich viel arbeit darin hineingesteck es zum laufen zu bekommen oder ob es überhaupt läuft oder nicht.
Sollte Interesse bestehen, kann ich noch etwas mehr arbeit dort hinein stecken. VoWIFI funktioniert.
Alles was ich bisher versucht habe um viLTE zum laufen zu bekommen hat VoLTE zum stillstand gebracht. Es könnte sich eine Lösung in der ims.conf.xml finden lassen aber an diesem Punkt bin ich zufrieden damit das der Rest so weit funktioniert.
Additional Effects:
The weekdays on the second screen are now shown with german abbreviation.
VoWIFI should work to. But as i do not need it i have not done any aditional work to get it working or to check if it works or not.
But if there is interrest i can put some more work into that. VoWIFI is working.
Everything i have tried to get video calling to work has so far broken VoLte. There might be a solution in ims_conf.xml but at this point i am glad that the rest is working so far.

Der ORG_Com Ordner, wurde von mir nur soweit modifiziert das er die Funktionalität von VDF VoLTE nicht behindern kann. Darüber hinaus ist alles nur in soweit von mir modifiziert worden das VoLTE für Vodafone Läuft. VDF_COM und ORG_COM sind nicht für Volte notwendig. Nur OPEN_COM (OPEN_COM_DS) werden gebraucht.
Es gilt aber zu sagen das dieser Anleitung möglicherweise für die VoLTE aktivierung von anderen Provideren als VDF Deutschland verwendet werden könnte.
Wenn hier Interesse besteht und ihr cust dateien von G5, G6 oder V30 für euer Land/Provider habt, könntet ihr diese hier hochladen sodass ich diese so modifizieren kann das sie mit den H990DS funktionieren. Vorausgesetzt ich habe die Zeit.
Additional information:
The ORG_COM folder, has only been modifed to such an extend that, it wont break VDF VoLTE. Furthermore the only things in all the other folders that have been modified, have been only be done so to such an extend that VoLTE for Vodafone was working. ORG_COM and VDF_COM are not needed for Volte in europe only OPEN_COM (OPEN_COM_DS) is needed.
But this Guide might still work for many different european countries and the providers which are available there.
If there is any interrest and you have any cust files from an G5, G6 or V30 for your country/Provider, you can post them here and i might modify them to fit your H990DS. Provided i have the time.

Important information.​-Follow this Guide for the F800 and on your own peril as my main work is done on the H990DS and this is a really quick cliffnote type guide.
European VoLTE is now working on the following models H990DS, F800, US996.
But the guide in the first post is only for the H990DS as the files and parts of the process are different form model to model. The main thing that needs adjusting is the bulid prop some phone settings and some of the files.
I will post a guide for the other devices when i am motivated enough to do so.
But in short, for the F800 just put the contents of open_com and the provider folder of you choosing into data/local/cust. Just dump them in there. If you dont have an cust folder there create one. Then you have to put an # infront the first instance of lte on cdma device and telefonie default network in the bulid prop and an 0 on the second instance of cdma on lte device. You also have to replace whatever stands behind target operator with GLOBAL and what stands behing target country with COM
European T-Mobile VoLTE activation.
Dont change anything set everything up as if it was an american phone (Isim and such). The european and american sim card is identification wise the same meaning that we can just use the ISim identifier.
Just remember that if you use my files on any other device or model of LG V20 other than the F800 US996 and H990DS you are on your own until i either get your model or you take out some time to send me all the files i need.

Please can you tell meif VoLTE works on the LG V20 H990DS in Australia for Telstra which is the largest mobile network carrier in this country? Other companies rent the same network such as Boost Mobile. The reason this is really important to know is that all the main carriers here are discontinuing 3G service in mid 2024. I just found this article from Telstra which says that once they discontine their 3G network that the only way to send and recieve calls will be with VoLTE in a 4G area. Here is a link if anyone wants to read that article.

I made this thread for conversations about my mod for european volte support, so i did not expect the first guy to comment to be an australian.
But i can try to help you.
Well first of all your best chance of getting VoLTE in australia is using the australian kdz. You might have it the easiest and the best as australia already has its own preconfigured kdz. A kdz which is the best of all kdzs for the H990DS, as it has the least bloatware and is the best updated one with its last update in 2019.
About your second question. You should ask those questions there. In my opinion you should just make yourself a rooted version of the australian kdz for obvious reasons. If i where to help you with that i would need to write a whole different guide on how to do so which probably already exists.
