Question App volume control - Oppo Find N

Hello,
I am the new happy owner of Oppo Find N.
I use the App volume control application on previous phones. The application automatically reduced the sound for applications such as Facebook, Instagram (sound in story) etc.. It simply does not work for me on this phone. I granted all permissions, battery optimization turned off, but it doesn't work. I tried setting it up via Tasker and it doesn't work for me either.
Does anyone have similar experience or can you advise me?
Well thank you!

Essential apps and setup on GBX0* + 3.4.26.13 kernel - update 02/01/13

I've been using GBX0* + 3.4.26.13 kernel for sometime on my uk rhod100. I know that it's not recommended for rhod100 but I have found it to work very well (a big thanks to the developers - hopefully the bug with bluetooth causing occasional reboots will be solved soon). After some reading around and experimentation I have found a setup that I am very happy with. Below I share my current setup in the hope that some find it useful. I stress that none of this is original and can be found scattered around the forums.
Initial Installation
Firstly, when installing the ROM I remove all the apks from the system/app directory that I have no use for. The apps I have removed without any detrimental effects are:
Bluetooth (I belive this is only required for file transfers via bluetooth which has never worked with any xdandroid build on my device)
GenieWidget (News and weather widget I never use but does cause device wakeups and launches when a data connection is found even if not used)
HTMLviewer
LatinimeTutorial
Mediauploader
PinyinIME (chinese android keyboard input)
Protips
Talk (Gtalk - never used this)
Vpnservices
I also uninstall launcher2 once I have installed an alternative after flashing (Lightning launcher with the least demanding settings and no wallpaper, as few widgets as possible and one screen is recommened)
Performance
The [[Speed Improvements]] Brainstorming & Testing Thread!! is full of useful tips and advice however was started sometime ago. I did use the V6 supercharger script for some time with good results however I now use and application called Android Tuner from the play store. With this app I can do many of the tips and tweak from the convenience of an app. I use it to do the following
1. Contolling the CPU frequency for overclocking. Stable upto 710MHz on my device
2. Controlling OOM settings (I use 8,16,32,64,96,128)
3. Controlling startup apps
4. Turning off the receivers for GoogleServicesframework
5. Performing tasks like FixPermissions / Clearing System caches / Wipe Davlik etc.
The app does a whole load more (changing SD cache / changing SysCtl settings/allowing uninstalling of system apps) - if people have other setup tips please share
I have also recently started using an app called Seeder (available for free to xda members) which seems to improve general performance. I am in the early stages of trying this but it does seem to help a bit. The reviews generally seem positive but the manner in which it works is debated. Any other experiences of this app would be appreciated. One drawback is claimed to be a decreased batter life - I have not seen this.
Battery Life
All the usual stuff re screen brightness and timeout apply here as well as data connections etc.
I have been using an app called One Power Guard which does seem to improve battery life mainly during standby without any discernible decrease in performance. This app causes various system and kernel tweaks,
Disabling data connections etc is well known to help improve battery life but I have also found a big difference by turing off Use Wireless networks in the Location and Security Settings.
A second battery with this ROM is recommended and I am very happy with the Mugen 1800mah battery.
Essential Apps
Notification Toggle by j4velin I would say is a must. It allows shortcuts (for apps and settings) and toggles (like CM7.2) for system settings to be placed in the notification area. With the rhod100 not reconnecting the wifi networks after a screen off having a rapid toggle function is essential. Highly recommended and light weight,
Leo AGPS injector app by tytung is essential for speeding up GPS locks. From reading around when using this app first extablish a data connection, then turn on GPS and then run the widget. Definitely speeds up GPS lock times. (Use GPS test to check)
Clock Sync by sergey baranov is another essential for preventing clock drift. Also I have read that an accurate clock time can improve GPS lock times so another reason for this app. As in the xdandroid FAQ I have it set to sync every hour. It may also be beneficial to change the NTP server to a local one.
That concludes my round up of my current setup. Please contribute any other tips that I have missed out. The above have only been tried with this ROM and work well on my Rhod100, I hope this is of help to someone.
Thanks akk29, very useful. I have now tried some of the things you have, some I will get around too as I play more and find more out (eg, controlling startup apps, uninstall inglauncher, GoogleServicesframewor). I'm constantly turning my backlight up/down - is there a fix for doing this automatically?
The jury is out as whether I'll switch back to WinMo... I love all the new apps I've got that WinMo just doesn't have.
The biggest problem, (at least I think it's what's causing problems), is speed (I'm running ok at 787 MHz at the moment!). The phone doesn't want to know about the Facebook App - it says it's loading it, but then bombs out after thinking for quite a while. Also it's very fussy about touching the screen. Trying to type using the screen keyboard is almost impossible. I love the hardware keyboard (which is why I've got the TP2), but sometimes I just need a quick soft-key entry. And whether I pressed a button or not, only time would tell.
But I'll use it and play with it for a little while longer, and most probably become too reliant on all the android apps to revert back!
[I had a WinMo tweak for boosting the volume which made my phone very loud, but now it seems quite quiet, especially playing songs]

That's a old kernel/rom. Try the newer release like the 3.4.41 kernel.
Autobrightness was fixed in 3.4.26.
WizardKnight, I am using 3.4.35 Kernel - I've got a RHOD100, so the 41 didn't work very well (which is a shame, as fps has increased in that build). Thanks for the note about the autobrightness (looking at the changelog I have it working now I turn off/on the LCD).
Anyone had better luck with the Facebook app / integration?

[Q] [Request] [Tasker] Profile to 'Disable Increasing Ring' in Galaxy S3

Hi there,
I realise I'm new here, but I have searched extensively before posting, both on here & generally on Google for an answer to this, but I've been unable to find one, so here goes...
I own a Samsung Galaxy S3, but unfortunately it has this annoying feature that can NOT be turned off. Every time I receive a phone call my ringer is low, probably about half way for about 5-10 seconds, then the volume Increases to what ever I have it set to (maximum in my case).
I really dislike this, and have been using an app called "Disable Increasing Ring", which can be downloaded from the Play store.
Now, even though this app works, I would prefer it if Tasker could do the task for me, since I already have Tasker running in the background, it would make sense.
I love the android app 'Tasker', it's fantastic, and use it for as much as possible. Having this other app (Disable Increasing Ring) also running in the background seems like a waste of resources.
So, does anyone know how I can set Tasker app, up to work the same as the 'Disable Increasing Ring' app?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tasker & Other Background Apps Closing (Android 9)

Hi all!
BIT OF BACKGROUND
Before I post this I wanna say I posted this earlier thinking it is a Tasker issue, into Reddit sub for Tasker. But it seems that it is an Android issue. I have in detailed mentioned what are the problems below. No one could identify this issue.
If you have any suggestion please help me out. Looks like this is the worst Android One phone I have got.
There is even a log in the end of the post. If someone can guide me on how to understand which app is force closing it, it will be great.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi,
I have been given a phone by office to use to send Whatsapp messages in the early hours of the morning.
This is a Infinix x604B (Indian Model) running stock Android (One) version Pie with security patch 5 March 2019.
I have unlocked bootloader and rooted with Magisk. (this issue was there since it came originally with Android 8)
I have a problem of Tasker and Autoinput not staying open in the background. I use these two along with
Whatsapp
Clipper
Autoresponder PRO (SMS
AutoResponder for WA
And the only one that doesn't fail to work in the background is AutoResponder for WA and Whatsapp.
Till now searching the forums and other places I have
1. Set the battery setting to "NOT OPTIMIZED"
2. Intelligent power saving standby - SET TO OFF
3. Battery Saver - SET TO OFF
4. Adaptive Battery - SET TO OFF (there is no option to exclude apps in this)
5. Developer Options - Background Process Limit - SET TO DEFAULT - STANDARD
6. Developer Options - Standby Apps - All the running apps are - SET TO ACTIVE
Under Tasker
1. App Check Method - App usage stats OR Accessibility (Both are used and still it closes)
2. Use Reliable Alarms - Always
3. Tasker has been given all permissions and others which connect with Android (only device admin is not permitted at the moment)
All the above don't work
As someone suggested in another post in Reddit, to use sys.keep_app_1 and I have added to build.prop and that doesn't bother at all. It still closes.
It barely takes 15 minutes to set the phone in idle stage and Tasker and AutoInput both will be taken out from the BG list.
In Accessibility options they both will appear as "This Service Is Malfunctioning" and have to disable and enable it back to make it work. Then it will be dead in 10-15 minutes. Very short time.
Till now i have reset the app, cleaned the preferences and started all over again without restoring the xml file for profiles and tasks. Still no change here.
Here is the Tasker log which I am sharing here. Hope you can get something out of it.

Is there anything I can share to help?
Thank you!

Amazfit Verge Music Control

Hey Guys...
I'm having an annoying problem with my Verge. I know the last update of Amazfit broke everything, but I wanted to know if there is anything I can try to solve. Music control does not work. I use Pulse + and Spotify, and it does not work. I try the Aimp too and nothing, it does not appear in the smartwatch to control.
I already enabled the music control in the settings.
I also can not connect to WiFi by the clock, because it asks to put the password through the Amazfit Watch App but the app does not show anything.
Thanks
Both are working fine here, you may want to check if after the update:
1. You must "activate" the watch again in the app (make it the active device) even if it is connected;
2. Enable music control in Notifications settings (it was disabled here after the update);
3. Go to the phone settings and reset (disable them enable again) access to notifications.
You may not be able to enter the wifi password while the app is syncing, so be sure it's already finished.

Any option for timed profiles( like nokia)

Do you guys remember nokia phones having the profiles features? I want the same thing on android, such that I can set profiles with ringtones volume, media volume, etc etc and activate it automatically on timed or location basis. Is this possible, is there any apps available for that?
