# How to install
Unlock the bootloader.
Download TWRP and flash the recovery image via Odin.
Download crDroid 8 for Galaxy Tab S3.
Be aware of the board name.
Download GAPPS for Android 12L and the others you want to flash.
Enter TWRP recovery.
The first boot to TWRP might be very slow because of the unmatched file systems.
Format the whole system, data, cache partitions using the format menu.
You will type `yes` to do that.
Flash the images.
If you're going to install GApps or something, you have to install the crDroid first.
Reboot the system.
Done.
# Known issues
Camera somewhat buggy
The built-in camera application (Camera2) is not working well. You can use another camera application like OpenCamera.
Sometimes the camera doesn't work after booting. You can fix that back by just rebooting.
After using the camera application, the Torch tile on the quick settings not working. But you can use the camera anyway.
On webcam chat apps, there is a vertical green bar and the color is not properly displayed.
Audio bugs
No sound for the microphone and speaker in voice calls, such as the regular phone call or voice chat with a meeting app.
Thank all of you for the feedback

Security patch by September 5, 2022
2022. 8. 15
Initial release

## Special Notes
You must do clean-install if you are willing to upgrade from another ROM such as an Android 11 based one
I have tested Magisk 25.2 working
You can fix SafetyNet using Magisk modules, SafetyNet Fix and PropsConfig
Fow now, crDroid 8.8 doesn't fix CTS profile with those two modules. There is a workaround for that.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...crdroid-v8-8-13-08-2022.4184671/post-87282899
You can hide the soft nav buttons on the bottom bar in "System -> crDroid settings".
You can hide the bottom Taskbar by using "Launcher settings -> Misc -> Use Taskbar".
It is disabled by default, you should turn it on and go to the launcher back, and turn it off again and when you go back to the launcher the taskbar will be disappeared.

yet another beauty from this legend...
will flash asap and let you know but I'm sure it's as amazing as your other releases.
thank you,sincerely

@Awesometic thx very much.
Gave it a try today.
Flashing (using your TWRP as always) went well after wiping and formatting.
Reboot to system was very fast.
Then back to TWRP to flash NikGapps64 core (Bitgapps64 didn't work) and Magisk in one go.
Just to try if it works I restored DATA backup from your latest LOS.
All apps restored but system UI crashes as I'm used to in LOS19 but I always use Nove Prime launcher anyway.
Now I'll carry on testing.
Edit: until now only two banking apps needed reinstallation.
The rest are working fine.
Edit 2: Dolby Atmos working but if once turned off needs (turned on again) system restart to make it workagain.
Headphones jack output louder (atmos turned on) than on LOS19.1 although being turned on as well.

Did a clean flash on T820 with NikGapps, everything went well and smooth. It's a breath of fresh air for a 5-year old Tablet. Opencamera works well too. Looking forward to a new build for the audio fixes. Many thanks, much appreciated.

Great and fast rom on T820. Best one IMHO - thx so much!

Netflix and Disney+ works with widevine L1 without issues in this rom.
You just need to make sure, that you are on latest and official correct firmware for your specific device and region. You don't even need to pass safetynet for it.

I've recently updated my Tab S3 from your LineageOS 11 ROM and it's been running quite well! I do hope there is a way to fix the microphone issue while on VoIP apps like discord in the future, but other then that it runs great!! I greatly appreciate the work you've put into this!

Installed Crdroid8 - Android 12. The second day of use, the flight is normal! Very good job!

Hi, just recently installed crDroid 8. Could you please share a step by step to make netflix work? I tried installing Magisk but TWRP doesnt show any partition info. I don't know why it seems as it can't read the files but it boots and works normally.

Hi!
There are no steps necessary. Netflix should work out of the box, because there is no way on software site to manipulate Widevine to L1. You just have to make sure to have to correct samsung firmware of your device installed before you flash crDroid.
So if netflix had L1 on you samsung stock rom, it should also work with crDroid.

davidmueller13, please don't get me wrong: I do appreciate your work; in fact, I'm on one of your 5.1.1 ROMs. But I'd much rather have a fully working/stable Marshmallow, than an experimental/developmental Nougat on my P-605...
That's just silly.
7.1 should be better for this tablet because of the pen and no bloat.
Been waiting to try for a while. But I use the tablet for work. Working on getting another beater so I can flash this.
Thank you for continuing progress.

Silly, you say? Nougat has way more Google integration going on. Some of us don't like the direction Google is taking with android development...
The pen works just fine on any ROM, so I'm not sure what you mean...
And the bloat, well that's up to the dev to remove; or you can do it yourself later if rooted.
Hi folks
Awesome build - installed it in few minutes along with twrp and Gapps. Everything seems to work fine...
Except:
- could someone tell me how to update modem? My sim card is not recognized. (Not from issue though)
- is there a way to completely turn of buttons backlight? I do not really need light there.
Thank you very much!
EDIT: I found an instruction and will flash stock 5.1.1 and than will repeat the 7.1 flash.
Also magnetic cover works for me - locks/turns screen off and on. Coming from 4.4.2 - that's why sim card is not detected... Working on it.
Thanks,
EDIT2: I flashed with odin stock 5.1.1 (P605XXU1EOI5_P605BTUEOJ1_P605XXU1EOI5_HOME) and than rooted and flashed twrp 3.0.2.0.
Than I repeated all steps and flashed 7.1 + gapps + SU.
... SIM Card is NOT detected again... Which baseband and modem do I need? Can someone post a link for exact parts?
Thanks,

My bootloader is P605XXU1EPD2 and baseband version P605XXU1EOI5. Try installing Samsung Phone Info from Google Play and check your baseband version. I had to flash to firmware twice to get the new baseband version.
Edit. This is the site I downloaded the firmware:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P605
I think I downloaded the newest but I'm not certain. Probably all 5.1.1 versions should work.
Good morning
Thanks for all the efforts to let be our device P605 an up to date tool!!!
I'm not sure if already stated precisely in some other post ( in such a case my apologies to ask again) but I would ask to the Developer and even to the Users if this extremely interesting upgrade will let be possible the use of S-pen with the std samsung app "S Note" and if files ( using this device for my work notes I have hundreds of documents to maintain..) generated up to now ( I'm still on 5.1.1) with S Note app could be recovered
Thanks again !!!!

Indeed the baseband and modem were not updated.
Is there a way to make sure they will once flashing with odin, or I have to check manually after each flash (boot and check in settings)?

Back in the days when I had my Note 3 the correct way to flash new bootloader/baseband was to take off the battery and wait some time, then plug in the battery and immediately to boot to odin mode. Otherwise the new modem would not stick and especially if the new firmware was for a different country code than the original. The other way round was to flash twice. Probably the best way with P605 is to turn of the device, wait a minute and then boot immediately to odin mode.

HUGE THANKS!
It worked - flashed twice latest 5.1.1. from sammobile and now I have the same boot and base as yours.
Now 4G works great on aosp 7.1. Also had to restart couple of times.
We own 3 years old tablet with the latest firmware - AWESOME! :good:
Still on 6.0.1 on my S7 Edge though... :silly:
Now I only need to find a way to disable the button back-light - it is really annoying...
I use it mostly for games and youtube kids movies for my little son. For book reading also bad, as it will light up on every page change.

Think that LTE sucks a lot of power...
If there was a way to disable button light - would be perfect and last rom for my note.

[ROM-7.1.2] [LineageOS 14.1] For HTC One M9 Sprint by Irocevo

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.2 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Note :
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for Lineage OS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to Lineage OS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Stuck On Checking For Updates
Good morning, I have noticed each time I try to install this ROM, it hangs on the "Checking for updates" step during the initial start up of the ROM. The only way around it is to power the phone off, then when I power it back up it goes bacxk through the initial set up process again, and again hangs on this step.
Any ideas how to get around this or to even bypass that step entirely?
My method to getting V4A working on this Rom
I Used ( lineage-14.1-20170624-UNOFFICIAL-himawhl )
which actually installed way faster, booted up even faster then Bad Boyz.
And sounded great.
The Process===
What I ended up doing was do a Wipe, then Flashed the Rom and then afterwards I flashed
SuperSU 2.78 ( but I think it will work with the ( Super Su 2.82SR5 ),
So after that was done I flashed ( V4a+2.5.0.5 )
After testing
LTE Data works, idk about calls or texts or even, I didn't get to test it that far just yet.
i have tested the camera some cool features but its not the 60FPS im lookin forward to still,
and teven then its so much smooth than the s6 and Note 4 on deodexed roms and even then
before i tired out liquid smooth.
So what I'm thinking now is whenever i Can i will try to..
Flash same rom again, and then Flash SuperSu 82SR5 Upgrade, and then Flash V4A, reboot, Profit??
go back into TWRP or REcovery and FLash g Apps....profit??
For me it's a bit of ways to get into recoverys,
because for my method i went into recovery by using, ADB reboot Recovery
since my volume dowbn button works on and off, so Adb Debuggin in Developer options.
I'd prob look for an app to have those extra power option menus and then probably, a more 60fps camera apps.
Or Idk if you have any suggestions i will try it out definietly.
Wow.... ROM works great for me. So far everything works smooth. I'm just facing 2 minor issues:
1. Bad notification sounds. Sound really distorted unless notification volume reduced to 60%. YouTube etc sound perfect at full volume so nothing wrong with the speakers.
2. Weather and Time Widget doesn't pick up any weather services (installed Yahoo, AccuWeather etc., to no avail)
Anyone else experienced this... or any ideas ?

Hey guys, need help here. I'm unable to root the ROM. Downloaded files to flash SU "addonsu-14.1-arm64-signed.zip" from here: https://download.lineageos.org/extras
and flashed it, to no avail. Then tried removing it by flashing "addonsu-remove-14.1-arm64-signed.zip", rebooting, and flashing again. No luck.
Also, tried installing V4A hoping that it would solve the bad sound quality on notifications etc.... but need root for that to work, so am kind of stuck.
Any tips?
Hey. How to make DotViev work in this firmware?
Looks like the mirrors are no more for this - any other copies available? Would someone be able to share?

[ROM] [Ali] [(s)GSI] Descendant 3.0 [Fi Supported] [FP Nav]

Hello. This is a build of descendant targeted at Ali that has been shared/used on telegram for awhile now. Original developer of the rom is Dil3mm4.
Must be used on official pie base (vendor/boot, etc). If on Oreo base, you must use the official gsi variant instead. This is March security patch but has patch level overridden for safetynet.
Changes from official gsi variant:
- gapps/vanilla builds are separate with AppInfo reverts in vanilla build to fix settings without gapps.
- Google Fi completely works including carrier switching. Various other carrier/radio improvements.
- Prints/props from official pie release to pass safetynet/device registration out of the box.
- Targeted at armv8-a cortex-a53 opposed to armv7-a-neon generic.
- Qcom IMS for volte, other carrier blobs added.
- Fully functional MotCamera2 incl portrait, play store upgradeable.
- Qcom perf fixed/integrated.
- sdcardfs enabled.
- (SUBS BROKE FOR NOW)No treble overlay apk in use, so substratum works without additional hacks.
- hwui/art configs from stock pie.
- qcom sepolicy to fix battery stats being reset on reboot and for qcom telephony support.
- NFC removed entirely from build due to constant background crashing.
- Beginning of notification sound being cut off fixed (audio offload changes).
- Call recording setting shown (don't break the law in your jurisdiction).
- Hotword enrollment blobs added from stock pie. Fixes voice enrollment, but hotword only works over Bluetooth or headset devices.
Bugs:
- okgoogle hotword doesn't work.
- no nfc.
- upgrades sometimes affect safetynet (unsure here).
- Boost mobile may have issues with LTE. Some users report as working, others not. Recent IMS changes may have fixed this (they fixed Sprint for me on Fi).
- Some networks may have DHCP issues (fix incoming).
Install instructions:
- Be on leak or official pie base (vendor, boot, etc). Be sure to backup system prior. Be using dejello's unofficial twrp.
Files: descendant for pie with G6 specific changes (always download most recent of gapps or vanilla (nongapps).

Recommended camera and long exposure mod: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g6/themes/gcam-4-2-mods-magisk-2x-exposure-mod-ali-t3917609
Disable encryption zip: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389
- Wipe data if unencrypted. Format data if encrypted (will erase entire internal storage. You can stay unencrypted even on stock pie to keep data).
- Flash image to system.
- Flash Forceencrypt zip and magisk 18.1 zip.
- Reboot to setup wizard ?.
- If magisk manager is not displayed due to data wipe, there are no issues with reflashing magisk with your device setup.
Upgrading: Flash system.img and reboot. Reflash microg if using, no need for reflash of magisk or gapps if using either.
All good on VZW xt1925-6 ontop of Brazilian stock pie
I missed some props in R3 for volte. It will be fixed in R3.1, but until then you may install voenabler in magisk to add the props for volte/vowifi.
One doubt, that is an new system based on pie like lineageOs?
Is 64x?
Can I use it normally?
I'm waiting for a os 64x for mine g6 xt1925-3 64 ROM like One..
If yes for all mine questions I'll trie to install it...

It's just an arm system image to be installed on top of official pie. Arm64 support will take vendor and kernel/ramdisk changes as well, and is quite a lot to do -- especially alone.
R4 uploaded. Changes from R3:
- Fixed substratum (accidental break in R3).
- Fixed volte.
- Added fully functional MotCamera2 with HDR, portrait, etc. Also play store upgradeable ?.

Yes, fingerprint gestures is currently a WIP that will be integrated soon through an open source lineage-based alternative fingerprint gesture handler.
I'm also going to start doing builds of resurrection remix with these repos (changes).

Is this a 64bit rom ?
I was wondering if this current rom is stable enough for daily use and if it's a 64bit rom ?

I've been running it as a DD for around a month, as well as many others (my household has two G6 in use, and both have been on it). Aside from bugs listed, nothing else I'm aware of.

If you're after gcam, the linked 3.2 bsg mod does take very good photos aside from dots and vignette that will probably never be fixed on our device. It's a lens issue that affects all gcam versions that other phones such as the op3/5 had, but with their camera sensors it was easier to fix. The OV12A10 (and omnivision in general) is notoriously hard to work on. Many tried for mi a1 dots which had a huge userbase with no luck.
I've only been able to improve digital noise slightly through using lavender eeprom and disabling digital gain while in low light.

Not likely to get a 64 bit ROM anytime soon. You can all stop asking now.

That´s a really great Rom. Thank you very much... Very smooth, awesome.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Hi all,
This is an unofficial Pie build for the Galaxy Note 2 (t0lte) based on LineageOS 16.0.
Most of the ROM features are working, but the overall state might be not fully stable or not suitable for a daily use.
This work is heavily based on works of PoisonNinja, Option58 (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 14.1).
A full credit for Pie bringup goes to rINanDO (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 16.0).
What is working:
Boots
Audio (playback && recording)
Bluetooth
Graphics
Camera
Sensors
RIL (SMS, mobile data, calls)
Wifi
USB
Video playback (HW/SW)
What is not working:
GPS
Compass / Magnetic Sensor
SIM might be not detected / Data might be not available upon boot (reboot to fix).
LTE is not currently supported
Gapps installation can cause boot issues (?) - not tested
Supported variants:
fully tested on t0lteatt (SGH-I317, AT&T variant)
SGH-I317M
SGH-T889
Should also work for the following variants (not tested as of now):
GT-N7105/N7105T
SGH-T889V
SHV-E250S/E250K/E250L
SC-02E (SGH-N025)
Reporting bugs
When reporting reboots, please produce log below as follows
(using adb or terminal)
Code:
su
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
and attach in this thread.
If reporting another issues
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
A rough timestamp of when the issue occurred is also useful.

I have the AT&T (i317/t0lteatt) version
i test this rom on my Samsung Note 2 SHV-e250k and it was good but sometimes buggy
You can activate the LTE option on *#*#4636#*#* but sometimes the "No Internet" appears
Pico is the best to install gapps because when you use other it was not working because of "System is full" message
sometimes the facebook, messenger and youtube crash and i encounter the Couldn't sign in on Google
again it's a good rom and need some several fix tho, it was good already just fix the Google Account issue, the partition of Sys on the memory and some app crashes.
Thanks for your work on this ROM ChronoMonochrome!
I tested out your ROM on my Verizon Galaxy Note II (t0ltevzw), another Note II LTE variant. I had to modify the updater-script to get this ROM to flash successfully on my device. Everything seems to be working (sound, wifi, BT), except for RIL. I seem to be seeing a dialog on launch saying that the SIM is voice only.
I'm guessing this is due to some specific differences with t0ltevzw compared to other t0lte devices.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help with testing.

Hi,
this variant of N7105 seems to be unsupported even by the official LineageOS sources.
You can try extract file libsec-ril.so from the stock and try use it (put the file in /system/lib).
If that works, it should be easy to add support for this phone variant as well.

Thanks @ChronoMonochrome. I've added the libsec-ril.so from the latest t0ltevzw KK stock ROM.
After doing so, the SIM card dialog warnings have gone away and the phone number is now detected on the Verizon SIM card.
Still no radio signal (at least for Verizon), but probably related to another issue.

I didn't know it's a CDMA device. CDMA is not supported by the ROM, however the following can make it work.
Edit /system/build.prop as following:
Code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so
(change rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsecril-shim.so to rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so)
This is very promising ROM even though the basic issue I can say it is constant need to restarting to use data and even the music app starting at any time to is also a problem. Apart from that, this is a dream come true

Thanks for the suggestion! Yep, the Verizon Galaxy Note II is CDMA. I tried making the build.prop settings and then added the Verizon APN, but still no signal found.
Not a big deal, since I'm just using it on Wi-Fi at the moment.
As for Gapps issues, I have the Gapps pico package installed. However, I noticed that if you install a certain Google app (not sure, could be Google, Google Assistant, Gmail, etc), it causes bootloops to occur. I've had to factory reset a few times. Trying to figure which Google app causes this to occur.

Hi thanks for this.
Did you change the updater script to get it to work? Because mine it justs stops trying to install and says this is for phones....etc
Also what bands (wcmda/LTe) did you select for the *#*#4636#*#* ? I tried this on my oreo 8.1 but this didnt find the IMEI or the sim
(Also it seems you tested this in the past...what new rom did you move on to?)
I've been investigating further into why this ROM starts bootlooping or experiences the display to blackout, particularly with t0ltevzw. One suspicious error seems to be with com.google.android.carriersetup:

[AOSP 12.1] LeOS - ungoogled GSI

Hi all,
I have created a GSI based on latest PHH AOSP Android 12. Thanks PHH for his great work.
What is LeOS:
1. It's full ungoogled
2. It includes full Working MicroG
3. It includes Seedvauld
4.The beta version is a minimal version which only includes some essential apps. But with an easy install script, you can create a 'full' version with more FOSS apps.
5. available for now arm64bvS, a64bvS. Both in VNDK and VNDK lite available.
6. no google Apps will work !!!!
You can download latest release at
LeOS-Cloud: https://leos-cloud.de/s/JFrFgLgSSTEMtmL /
Proton_drive: https://drive.proton.me/urls/JF352AYSS4#YkXliW8T03Cp
(ProtonDrive needs a bit before download list is showing)
Which variant do I pick
To know which variant to download, use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kevintresuelo.treble . Don't use other Treble Check apps, they'll give wrong informations.
Which vendor to use?
1. Always use your actual device's vendor
2. Always use OEM unmodified vendor, not some custom vendor
3. This includes boot.img. boot.img and vendor MUST BE the same version.
4. Android 10 / 11 / 12 OEM vendor is needed.
LeOS-S is still in Beta and does have some bugs.
Know bugs you will find on PHH release page
-- the su bug I have fixed
Join us a telegram group for support: https://t.me/LeOS_Support
Short overview: http://leos-gsi.de
LeOS is really fantastic and already in early A12 stage usable as a daily driver. For all who are looking for a gsi far away from the Google claws, LeOS is the best decision. Thx for gr8 work.

No google app should work on LeOS. I have removed a lot of google code to get it ungoogled. But gmaps should work in browser.
You have setup the MicroG selftest and location backends?
Signal, you mean it is not registered in MicroG? I don't know / use Signal so I can't say for sure what's wrong and why Gms is needed for it.
Best you will join us in telegram or matrix. Than the other users can help you. As far as I know, we have some Signal users in group
Thank you. Signal works fine but it warns that system missing gms, same with maps. What you use on matrix - Element?

Hello,
I'm currently running [[AOSP 11.0_r40][all-in-one] microG ufOfficial](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/aosp-11-0_r40-all-in-one-microg-ufofficial-cve-august-2021-arm32-64-vndklite.4281231/) by @oF2pks.
I'm looking at LeOS-S GSI beta. Features I'm interested in:
* Integrated and fully working MicroG.
* Seedvault included.
* Degoogled as much as possible.
Questions:
* Speaking of aosp / lineage. Is settings -> Accessibility in there i.e. can I sideload TTS voices and Google Accessibility suite or have you also stripped off these when degoogling?
* After flashing LeOS-S, are developer settings and ADB already enabled or do I have to enable them?
* I have Xiaomi Redmi 9 code name gallahad with Android 10 vendor. System partition is part of so called super partition and even with vndklite variant of AOSP I can't make the system mounting read write. Also there is no working TWRP for this device as far as I know. Is there a way to selectivelly disable or reenable the root features with LeOS-S? phh-securize needs an ability to write to system partition, can I make it work somehow?
* Initially I'd like to restore my backups using adb and copying files as root. Then I'd like to disable root so I can run banking apps and use seedvault for backing up my apps.
* As for seedvault will it only backup apps which can be backed up with ADB or can it backup all user installed apps along with their data? For example FairEmail can't be backed up using ADB.
* I think LeOS-S is now based off of lineage. Can lineage call recording be made to work? Or alternativelly is there a way to install axet call recorder as a system app?
I'm going to backup my stuff and try out these things for my-self one after the other. If I can get some hints I'll appreciate it and I might be able to make it work.
Thanks for great rom
Greetings

I'm looking at LeOS-S GSI beta. Features I'm interested in:
* Integrated and fully working MicroG.
* Seedvault included.
Greetings

question 1:
sure, all google sh...t is removed. TTS is replaced with open source app from e.foundation
2. you have to enable them as on every other rom/GSI
3. you can flash LeOS-S on devices with Android 10 or 11 vendor
4. seedvault is integrated, but I'm not sue that the restore will work when swapping the OS
5. You can remove root be with an integrated option
6. LeOS-R is based on LOS18.1 and LeOS-S is based on AOSP
axet call recorder I don't know. Call recording is not allowed on most european countries. So I never have used such thing.
I'm using true phone on my personal build and it's including a call recorder
I prefer joining my telegram group. there we can chat and you can get help from whole community
EDIT: MicroG is full integrated

Hi all,
I have created a GSI based on latest PHH AOSP Android 12.
You can download latest release at https://leos-gsi.de/downloads

I think that are patches for treblize the device because it's so old, that is not original treble device.
You can't try with A12 GSI. A12 is only as a/b version available
Has arm or arm64 a-only GSIs been fully discontinued since release a12?

yes, in the moment no way to build a-only or arm versions. Sorry, it's a Google 'feature'

Android12 is only as a/b version available and I don't know if there will be a a-only version in future. Sorry
Android devices are a-only or a/b devices. There is no b-only.
