What are the pros & cons of unlocking the bootloader?
Are you able to flash any other FW without relocking?
What are the limitations of a locked bootloader?

Just wondering if Unlocking the Bootloader and rooting the phone will allow access to unlock the SIM.
If it doesn't then could someone provide a way to unlock it?
Sim unlocking can only be done by the carrier mate You'll have to ask them to do it for you. No other way

Yes buddy, rooting and unlocking bootloader give you the chance to flash custom roms only.

I had the same situation I went to the guy, he took off me simlock and unlock the bootloader unlocked this way :laugh:
Only removing SIM-lock is not enough.
Depending on when your phone is manufactured, it may be possible. Check the manufacturing date, it is under the battery. If it is before 12W11 (year 2012, week 11), then it is possible. Otherwise, no.
There is 11W36. Do you know some tutorial for unlock this "unlockable bootloader" ?
