Just use the correct AOSP version and you should be set..
Mint kernel works for AOSP based roms (like this one) if you flash the correct aosp A12 version

You need to delete everything this roms needs, read the instructions in the post
You need to Wipe system, dalvik, cache, vendor and data

Without Twrp you wont be able to flash your phone with a custom Rom..
TWRP (Or another custom Recovery) Is Obligatory to flash customs Roms

Pre-installation:
TWRP of course (Download from here)
Magisk can also be used just make sure you flash it after a first successful boot (after passed setup screen)
First time installation:
Backup your data to PC, OTG flash drive
Flash recovery (TWRP) downloaded from above link and boot to recovery
Wipe system, data, cache (maybe format data also), then reboot to TWRP
Copy ROM base and Gapps, then flash them in TWRP
Reboot and enjoy
Update installation:
Boot to TWRP and make a backup
Flash updated ROM base and Gapps (and Magisk if you had this as root method)
Reboot and enjoy

Awesome project, new product but has alot custom Rom

Boots up.
CR droid boot animation is sick! Loved it.
Of course as title says it's in alpha "testing" so constant system UI crashes upto the point where the screen completely goes black.
One thing I liked about this build was the resolution looks good UI and stuff (got all this just by looking the pre Google setup screen) All the other ROMs I tested has bad resolution and the screen is just not satisfying but not in this rom!
Waiting for stable build. Like.

idea: format data partition (in TWRP format data -> type yes) then push files and flash again

Just an idea.
We had such a problem with Redmi 4x, after removing the Simtray before first boot the problem was solved.
tried both OP and @ConradB method and @ConradB 's method seems to work.

However, I was having the same problem as the comment above
edit: because this ROM is facing fc issues, I've tried with other ROMs and found that it might be my sd card's issue
Nice to see @gwolfu here! I came from S7 forums. Was on crDroid back then. Excited for developments on this ROM.
System UI force close some times, this is a great build but is "alpha" for me, so i go to try RR, PE and AEX, Lineage is the one works fine for me.

So i flashed this rom on my US996 and followed the instructions although, the camera and flash are not working, are we supposed to flash lineage 15.1 and then this like with the other roms or is this just supposed to be flashed right away cuz i know with most of the other custom roms you needed to do incremental flashes
EDIT: Flashing the permissiver file for the f800L fixed the issue

we had Resurrection Remix Rom based on Android 9 before it but we wait for Customizable Rom based on Android 10 and 11 for all v20 variant not one.
Will this Crdroid version be update to Android 10 and 11?
H910 user here, installed the rom yesterday and so far it's been great. After experiencing los17.1 official (android 10-Q) which had working ir blaster but the battery wasn't working out well for me so I decided to try this rom. Everything is great, but I do miss having my ir blaster.
And yes i did try flashing the permissive v4 and v5. Both flashed well however with v4 the ir blaster wasn't working with sure remote so I went and flashed v5 which suddenly made the phone temp increase dramatically to the point i had to factory reset the rom and start from scratch.
Is there a way to remove permissive files if flashed instead of having to factory reset all the time?
If there are any advice or recommendations I'm open. Would love to have an android 10 from this dev.

The instruction use miui 12.0.1, but global 12.0.1 has android 11 and indonesian has android 10, instructions didi not speciify which 12.0.1 to use, so i just used what was on my global device - global 12.0.1

You need to install it on Android 11 . don't wipe anything with TWRP recovery .i recommend you to use Pixel experience recovery to flash it (AOSP android 12 )

Strange you need to clean install first time after next updates you need to dirty i am using these builds in my device. i wont release untested

Installing latest rangeFox Recovery
Wiping, Cache, Dalvik, System, Vendor, Data, Internal Storage
Rebooting Recovery
Installed latest ROM (07.12.2021)
Factory Reset and rebooting to system
ROM is booting until Setup Wizard and goes into SOFT-Bootloop and draining battery...
