My settings don't allow me to enable my Screen lock icon - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

... although I do have a Screen lock in place --see screenshot. When I click on it, it doesn't turn on.
My guess is because the hacker makes me BELIEVE I do have a Screen lock on but actually I don't.
What can I do?

Dual lock screen

Anyway to disable the sense lock screen?
I have set a pattern lock and prefer to not have to drag the circle across the screen and then pattern unlock. Ideas?
I think you can turn it off in settings but if not try no lock from the market

Can't seem to find any option for it. Looked under just about every area I can think of.

Unlock screen help

I have been using a pattern to unlock my phone when the screen turns off.
All of a sudden I am now first having to swipe a picture that looks like a lock to the right and then use my pattern to unlock the phone.
How do I get rid of the lock swipe so that I only have to draw my pattern?
I have attached a pic of the lock screen that I am trying to remove, not sure how it was turned on

Lock screen behaves different in Marshmallow

After the Marshmallow upgrade, I have noticed something is now different in the way the lock screen behaves: Before Marshmallow, if I had the lock screen set to knock code, and say, a lock timer set to 5 minutes, after the screen went off, if I turned the screen back on before the 5 minute timer, I would have to swipe to unlock. Now, in Marshmallow, once the screen goes off (timeout or manually), as soon as I turn it back on, it goes straight to the home screen, and does not ask to swipe to unlock. In fact, the only way to see settings for the swipe to unlock is by setting the lock screen to swipe. If I have lock screen set to knock code, I can't even see the settings for swipe, such as the screen swipe effect, or the shortcuts for the lock screen. That was certainly not the case before Marshmallow, where I could set up knock code, and at the same time, set up swipe effect and shortcuts, to be used before the timer for the secure lock kicked in.
It is not just my phone. My wife's G3 is now doing the exact same thing. I am curious if this is by design, or a bug in Marshmallow. I kind of liked the swipe to unlock before the timer engages the knock code. Without it, you don't get the swipe screen, therefore you can't quickly see or use the shortcuts, and also you don't see a quick glance of notifications, and I'm also afraid the phone could accidentally make a call or something else if in my pocket.
Has this happened to you? thoughts?
Same here
Updated this morning and noticed the same thing and since my work email enforces a policy that makes me have a PIN, I can't even switch to swipe lock screen temporarily. The option is grayed out. Plus, I hate the PIN lock screen white buttons.

Remove fingetprint notification from lockscreen.

Hey all.
I'm looking for a way to remove the fingerprint notification from the lockscreen, so it show the patern dots right after the screen goes on. Now you have to touch the screen again after it turns on... I know it's just one tap but it annoys me, so. I Tried looking for xposed modules but did not find anything comming even close. Even thought about having no pin, patern, or knock code, so you have the fingerprint just to unlock and when you tab the screen there is no security measures at al, and just lock certain apps with fingerprints or paterns.
Thanks.

It depends on which toggles you have visible, in the settings there is nothing about it.
But do you have a rom installed?
stock a13
hmm perplexing,
sometimes all qs comes up and i can turn on flash etc
sometimes it goes straight to lock screen
only features turned on lock screen are; show devices controls "maybe bluetooth related", and always show time and info

I'd suggest to keep an eye on the phone and be careful to avoid such mishaps
