Question problem of thermal control - Sony Xperia 1 IV

I find that when tempreture reach some limits, some cores will be deactivated by system automatically, it will even deactivate the super core and two bigger cores which makes my device too stuck to scan a QR code. How can I prevent this? I already disabled the system app thermal control.

Hi, look at that post , new firmware patch coming

This is my log of LOLm. You can see my super core was deactivated. I rooted my device, running with Uperf performance mode and AsoulOpt (https://github.com/nakixii/Magisk_AsoulOpt)

I believe this is quite normal on this phone. The phone wakes up to do tasks all under the name of Android System, so it does multiple task at the same time for a short period of time. However since the battery app only takes into account individual processes, it adds up to something its not.
I would be more worried about the others and just ignore it or group with Android OS in your mind. Your battery stats seem to be perfectly normal with no unexpected drains.

Nothing.
Your drain doesn't seem too bad but you can minimize the wakes by keeping wifi active.
If i switch wifi off the phone can drain upto 5% in 1 hour on standby, sometimes not so bad, othertimes worse.
Looking at BetterBattery stats TIME_TICK seems to cause the highest amounts of wakes. No idea what that is or what appliaction or service is activating it.
Thanks my friends
Please post in appropriate section

I also experience high load of the "Android System" with firmware 6.1.A.2.50.
With 6.1.A.2.45 the highest load was always caused by the display (as it should be).

I too have the same problem. Unfortunately, most likely, it's a hardware defect. I got my phone replaced. The replaced phone too showed the same problem after 2 months. I'm now waiting for my next replacement phone. I probably won't buy samsung phones again
What was the process to replace the phone n how much did it cost u...?
I have the same problem, I read a system format might fix it but the finger print sensor is garbage anyway

I had purchased my phone via my carrier (at&t). Since this happened within the 1st year of purchase (1 year warranty) they replaced it for free. They did however run lot of tests on the phone to make sure I didn't intentionally damage it. You can contact samsung in case you bought the phone online or other ways. I'm not sure how good samsung's service is in matters like this.

Strange DNS requests from wileyfox swift 2 phone

Hello everyone, I got a wileyfox swift 2 phone a couple of months ago and once the android 8 update came out, I updated my phone. Now, recently I installed a pi hole server on my home network and noticed that there is some strange dns queries being made by my phone. I have attached a picture of the requests. Can someone tell me if this is normal of there is some malware or virus affecting my phone. Also, I have tried a factory reset on the phone since I first thought it was a virus/malware but the requests still continue. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

many of those look like AD networks, legit ones though.

General Quick conection yo devicres

Good evening, I bought a OnePlus 9R after the A12 update and I have noticed an overheating on the phone when opening almost any app, but Facebook is where it is most noticeable. I also leave a screenshot of a section which is consuming a lot of battery which is "Quick connection to devices" I don't know if this is influencing it to get too hot and another detail is that I can't update Chrome.... I already restarted the equipment and there is no longer so much heating but this connection option is still present and it is the one with the highest consumption

This is a known issue that many users started facing recently. From what I've read, manually updating to a newer version of the app fixes this issue. Try downloading and manually installing Quick device connect 2.5.23 from here and see if that fixes it for you too.

Question Unused CPU frequencies

Hi all
Is it normal for the kernel to skip 2 low level frequencies that ate generally associated with efficiency cores?

It's likely the minimum frequency has been set to 556 MHz, it's the same on my device
I remember from oneplus 7 days that custom roms would include some unclocking settings in the rom and it always came with a warning that the device could crash. They said something about if the cpu goes too slow that it can make android bug out and restart and sometimes throw it into a bootloop.

I did it once on Asus Transformer xD I was try to use lowest possible and it crash while screen off and bootloop on me... Ahh that was a great day of ROM development. Kitkiss was my favorite. I even mounted Linux on that tablet... You remind me great days
Yes, gone are the days of ROM mods and kernel devs. There used to be a time when we could underclock/overclock the CPU through kernel tweaks...kernel panics...bootloops...I wish we could bring those good 'ol days back
