Question Gcam port crashes when using flash or night sight. - Moto G Power (2021)

I've been using the gcam port linked here for a few weeks now and I only just noticed this issue. not only that, but Timelapses create buggy video. Should I try another version or something?

Which is the best Google camera build?

I've tried several Google camera builds but most of them crash while processing photos. So I'd like to know that which Google camera build with portrait mode and hdr+ works the best without crashing?
Mee too
Urikill
Me too. I'm searching for a working Google Camera port from 2 months. I have had installed Pixel Experience custom rom as soon as I bought my phone and then I tried A LOT of Google Camera ports: BSG, Arnova, UriKill, cstark, Skulshady, Toylan, scrubber and so on... They always have FC (more or less), some of them doen't even start, or have bad quality photos, or too pink... or too FCs.
Then I changed to Lineage OS 15.1... same story: tried the most GCam ports... same results!
Today I reverted back to stock (MIUI 9.5)... installed Arnova's v7beta9... and till now I haven't had FCs!! And with stock camera I can record slow motion videos (this is not possible with gcam port)!!
But I really don't like MIUI. Even with Magisk's Pixel module.
I have been using this GCam ver. 4.4.012.156195200.build.41155109 for many months now on stock MIUI rooted with Magisk. After each OTA update I just reflash the magisk image and change the build.prop for enabling Camera 2 API, and I get it working again. The slo-mo is buggy which I found fixed using the "Google Camera Patch" in magisk repo.
Here's the link for the apk I use: drive . google . com/file/d/1iXAkhIAq4kpGsn7u_eGBMeURknJR64p6/view?usp=sharing
You can also find the apk on Android FileHost.
P.S. I can't confirm it working with any custom rom. I am on MIUI 9.2.2.0 now and it works flawlessly (HDR of stock camera doesn't work with Cam 2 API enabled)
And XDA didn't let me share the link directly
It's a very old version, not supporting "Portrait Mode", is'nt it?
It does
HDR+ : Rear
Potrait mode (Lens Blur): Both rear and front
And I should add that the HDR+ works really well... seriously!
Can you send a screenshot / link of the exact Magisk module you're talking about?
If you're talking to me, I mean the "Pixel 2 Experience" module (v. 4.4)
The module's name is "Google Camera Patch" created by "simonsmh"

Please someone port google camera with hdr+ eis for nokia 7.1

Please someone port gcam for nokia 7.1 MG _5.03.015 gets installed and doesn't crashes, videos are able to be recorded, but photo mode shows black screen. Probably not reading the exact camera id for photos.
Thanks in advance.
Download the latest build of gcam for Nokia 6.1 plus android pie, works well most of the time.
I'm using the latest build from Arnova here (https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-arnova8G2/#apk411) and most features work including Night Sight. Not sure about EIS but takes better pictures than stock Nokia. Slower for sure due to HDR+, but can't complain about the quality.

Hi, no problem! I have "GCam_Pixel3Mod_1.3_build.6.1.021.apk" installed currently and have no issues with regular camera portrait or night sight. Have to disable motion picture or whatever it is called or it crashes per the instructions on the XDA forum threads for the Pixel3 mod.
Thanks, @UCFJake.
I've been playing around with that one, but really don't think it's any better than the Nokia camera app; don't get me wrong, "Night Sight" is pretty cool, but the picture quality isn't better than the stock app...
Am I missing something?
Hi @moore.bryan,
I find the portrait mode has much better results and the plain camera mode has better light detection making slightly sharper photos, but the Nokia cam is faster to load, take photos, and store in the gallery. If I'm not using portrait mode I am honestly defaulting to the Nokia cam for speed. I guess depending on my subject I'm choosing the camera that seems to work best. I don't use the pro mode though as I prefer to point and click as a lot of stuff I want to take photos of are fleeting or non-stationary.
Hi, here you can find port for all nokia phones https://nokiapoweruser.com/google-camera-apk-download-for-nokia-smartphones/
For me it works very well on 7.1
Everything(including slow-motion, ar stickers, night sight) tested except motion photos (I am not really into that ) and it's working perfectly without any crashes. Try out this one in the link below.

Does Nokia 7.1 Support Hardware Level 3 Camera2 api?
Sent from my mido using XDA Labs
Have been very pleased with the GCam_Pixel3Mod_1.3_build.6.1.021.apk (Arnova8G2, 2018-11-27) version of Google Camera for my T-1085 Nokia 7.1. BSG version did not run at all.

I have been using this verison ,
it either closes after taking the photo in normal photo mode, or does not save,
the portrait and Pro modes are working , as well as Night mode,
I'm using latest version for Nokia 7 Plus from @back.rider555 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/themes/gcam-nokia-7-plus-t3905686) without any problems. You can download it from: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-backrider/.
Yes, this one works.
Question: how to make raws without hdr?
When I want to turn off hdr, raws are not available...
Wysłane z mojego Nokia 7.1 przy użyciu Tapatalka
I didn't test much, but most of them are crashing in my device. (Nokia 7.1 3/32 Gb)
The one that is working for me is the latest from Arnova: MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova_V1.0.030119.0705.apk
In order to get Night Sight working I had to disable "Sabre" in the settings.
Results are, in fact, very good. I wish that Google could make Google Cam official for everyone ?*♂
Give it a try.
GCam_6.1.021_N7P_test2.3 works fine for me everything works and double tap on power works with screen off also.

Need help with camera

Hello
I am currently running LiquidRemix pie, happy about it, everything is smooth. However, I have tried several Gcam ports so far, and none seems to work.
Is there one with working focus? I do not mean autofocus, but just manual focus, where I click on object, and cam will focus it. I feel like almost every Gcam port out there tries to autofocus, but fails and focus on nothing, resulting in really blurry images. Other features working well (HDR+ and such).
However, I see many people using Gcam as a main daily driver, so I believe there is a way to make the manual focus work. I am bit lost in the quantity of Gcam ports, so maybe I missed some. Or could it be glitch in LiquidRemix pie rom ?
If it is glitch in LiquidRemix pie rom, please recommend me other. I dont need top notch performance, usually just youtube, sometimes cam, reading reddit and just basic stuff. Long battery life is a big plus too.
Thank you very much for input
Michal
Best gcam for me is BSG test (search for bsg dev on celsoazevedo page)
Autofocus is not an issue of the rom, it's a kernel issue
Try zucc kernel

Kernel fixed that issue, but brought others (media playback issues). I also have occasional data issue, which seems to be common in this rom.
What rom do you use? I would like to use something stable, with that GCAM, that is my only requirments (no need to have Pie, if its possible to have Gcam on oreo)
Thanks for recommendations

Look for bsg-test 8.1

HDR not working on front camera in GCAM 6 and above

This issue exists for a while now, has anyone found it why it is happening? By what it seems like it may be a hardware issue than a software issue as it's also happening on GCAM 7. I wonder if a patch would fix this issue if someone has find out what's causing it.
There is no stable gcam available for vince till now .. each app has some issues with it .. either it crashes or video wont work or the front camera won't click images and if clicks it will be blurry af with green and pink noise . If any one know any working stable gcam please provide the link .

7T Pro w/ Lineage Cam bad --> OOS Cam

Hi there,
I am using CM and LOS for a few years now, on a S4, an OPO and some tablets. Never got problems with it,
everything was working fine. Now I got my new 7T Pro and flashed it with LOS & MicroG and everything is
working fine again, except the cam app. Seems to be, that the LOS cam app only uses the 12MP cam and I
did not see any options to switch the three cams. The cam the app is using makes terrible pictures if it is
getting a little bit darker, then everything gets blurred. So I searched for the OOS cam app and found this:
OnePlus Camera 4.5.44 (READ NOTES)
Is it possible to only install this apk and then it is working? I read about some cam.zip, that have to be flashed
to get it working? Is there a way to get the camera working properly? So nice hardware but the LOS cam app is a no go.
Xmas time, time for next try with camera.
I tried few versions of the OnePlus Camera apks, installs without errors but after starting the app
everything stays black on the display, only the three standard android buttons viewable.
Someone got a hint for me? Only want to get cam working properly.
Found this:
Urnyx05 GCam Port
And now all three cams are working, quality of pictures is much better, night mode and many other
working things. So GCam Port from Urnyx05 works fine on 7T Pro.
