Hey guys, I am new to XDA developer forms and am glad to be here. I am thinking of buying a new smartwatch under 8000 rupees. This is my budget, and under this, as we all know, there are many options. After an extensive amount of research, I have come down to these two watches that could be the ones with good accuracy. Now here I want you guys to please share some of your opinions about what amazfit as a company is and some reviews about the products if you have used any in the past. Thank you so much.

I am totally new to the android hacking/developers circle and this is probably a really dumb question, but would it be possible to hack android ware to be used on a cheap Chinese watch. I can't afford a $200+ watch, but would love to have a smart watch, but can't imagine the stock UI on the cheap watches to be any good.
Anyway, any feedback would be appreciated,

You can buy an lg g watch like me... it s cheap if you find a second hand one. Me and my friend paid 50€ for one. G watch has no heart beat sensor ,no wifi and other small things but, it s 100 times better than any Chinese watches .
I would recomend the LG Urbane smartwatch. This was launched in Q2 2015 and till now looks updated and according the trends. Works very well linked with android's mobiles.

Hi i was wondering about same thing, I tried to install Huawei watch Android Wear ROM on my new android smartwatch based on Mediatek MT 6580 with no luck. I am quite sure that it should be possible, bot i dont know how to create custom ROM
Hi, does anyone know of a reputable place I can buy a global version of the Stratos 3 elite, I can't seem to find one anywhere? Not even on eBay?
Is it released globally yet?

It seems that nobody knows.. on many websites they state that it will be released with the global version but you can find the watch on Amazon but not the Elite version. I think it's just bad customer support from Amazfit and they just released a couple of the non-elite version to see how things work, quality assurance made by the customer.

I've had a couple watches from them and all of them have had major flaws and problems, my advice is to avoid this brand by any means, there is no quality control or support whatsoever, if you have problems you're on your own.

I had a pace for 3 years and it's very good for the price. Had problems but nothing severe.
Bought a stratos 3 for waterproof and better gps and fully regret. Amazfit launched a lot of smart watches in the last year and they have a lot of problems. They have more devices than the ability to mature the firmware.
Keep your stratos 2 and be happy with it.

There are sooo many Amazfit (Xiaomi?) watches avalaible and each model has even different versions which make it very hard for a newcomer to make choice.
I found a board comparing all of them.. But it's up to 2019 (beginning?), so a lot are missing. Also, they seem to have different names depending on the country..!
GTR, GTS... What is it called in China?! I want one that's Android based (so i can get custom roms, install apks..) and i'd like it to have speaker/mic, as well as non proprietary straps.
The Verge's the only one that fits (not for the straps though) according to that 2019 board but maybe one of the most recent one would fit..? Let me know!

Those with android have a "special" Android version where you have a very limited amount of working apps. ( and not wear ).
And as it is closed, and for a MIPS processor you will find no real custom rom.
Speaker/mic ? Why?

Stratos is for sports users.
T-Rex - for men with khaki who think they are tough
GTS - fashion Watch (period)
GTR - for men on suits
Pace - for sports enthusiasts people
BIP - for people looking for minimalist design and options
Rest are more dear than alive

But the pace and stratos (this thread is for them) also have that same Android as the verge.. isn't it?! No real custom ROMs.. are you saying those running huamiOS like the BIP got real cf?! I don't get you there!!

I have the GTR2 for almost 3 years. It´s a OK smartwatch. Not good, not so bad. First of all , the GPS stop working out of the blue. I've tried to upgrade from different versions of the ZEPP but with no sucess.
You just CAN'T install app in those SmartWatch . Is what is install and that´s it .
Both have a lot of watch face. There is an app called amazfaces . GTR3 have quite a few more nice, in my opinion . But not a lot.
GTR3 has more baterry for sure.
Powerfull ? Both are pretty much the same.
There is no game for those GTR...
Both are very similar . I would by the GTR3 just because the battery.

That´s the thing. There is NO app store for amazfit. I know, it's ridiculous .
I have no ideal which other Smartwatch is better than amazfit.
