[RECOVERY][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP Xperia 1/5 Android 11 - Sony Xperia 1 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other D

TWRP Xperia 1 & 5
By Ferdian™
Hello everyone.
I'm trying to build TWRP for Xperia 1 on based android 11.
which one this device does not have TWRP support for android 11.
I've tried several TWRP and unfortunately
can't Install zip or for backup anything.
even I can't booting into system.
so I tried to build it and booted successfully,
I've tried it on my own device (Xperia 1 DoCoMo) and it worked fine.
so, if you want try to Install it,
don't forget to prepare your original boot.img,
just in case if it can't booting into the system.
Code:
/*

* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.

*/
Please, if you are successful in installing it on your device,
leave a comment with the device you are using, so I can confirm and help other users not to hesitate
Tested on Xperia 1 Docomo, AU, GLOBAL
and Softbank (Cross Flash Softbank to AU)
and also in any Custom Roms 12.1/13
How to flash :
1. Unlock your bootloader
2. Open your CMD and run on fastboot
then type this command :
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp-11.img
3. if you done, remove USB from Phone
4. then press and hold Power (only up to vibrate) and Vol down (-) button. (don't release it for the first time before logging into splash TWRP, to make sure that it's installed properly.)
5. and you will enter into TWRP
TWRP X1 & X5 :
(FOR STOCK A11)
&
(FOR CUSTOM ROM / GSI A12+)
* I think not support for android 14 yet
(Because twrp 11 can't decrypt Rom 12+.
so I separate the builds)
No need format data to decrypt
but maybe in some roms even stock there are experience
Android Rescue Party triggers! Possible solutions?
or still encrypted. usually due to different keys or dirty data partitions.
the only way is to format the data first

nothing, only can't read your file in internal storage from twrp. it's like a data protection.
no effect at all after booting

yep, I think very few interested people like this device. especially the Japanese variant, it's quite expensive to change UBL no to yes

Still hope for a full functional custom ROM for our Xperia 1

but at least we got a twrp for it. may open new opportunities.
also. the drm keys seem to be a big issue for most

Thanks a lot for this. I left this phone last year because a relative lack of development. Plus my model, Softbank, didn't get the upgrade to 11. But with this I might make it my dedicated emulation device . Thanks a lot!

and btw I think the a11 is not too heavy for the drm keys. not like in android 9 and below, which there will be a lot of trouble

The SD card (fat32) works.
Tried flash Magisk, works.
Didn't try anything else, but it looks legitimately great

[ROM][5.1.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 (09/20/15)

Hello there, here is something I wanted to share. It's a polish CM12.1 developpment for the Galaxy Ace 2, with NFC or not !
I'm not the developper of the ROM, so all requests must go on this thread.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,

* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

*
How to install :
Install a temporary CWM recovery
Boot in recovery mode (VOL UP + POWER + HOME)
Wipe data/cache IF YOUR DEVICE DON'T HAVE CM 11 OR OVER.
Choose "Install zip from sdcard" and install the file name CyanogenMod12.1_I8160_XXXX.zip
Accept the license, then choose i8160P if your device has NFC, or i8160, if your device doesn't have NFC.
You can skip all the remaining steps and then reboot (or not if you want to install Gapps)

That's PolishVodka's (aka Straciatella) version (one of the first LP's on ACE2 if not the first .
I am using this from time to time (out of curiosity every time @PolishVodka releases new one and I must say... every next time I install a new build it is harder for me to return to my daily driver (CM11 with ace2nutzers kernel).
OS works quite stable, no major problems (apart from obvious bugs with CM12 like green video). This build (from 04.09) by PolishVodka is nearly flawless in terms of stability.
System when google apps are loaded leaves around 200 megs of free ram which is enough if you don't use many memory hungry apps (like if you stick to calling/smsing/listening to music).
Bugs which I can confirm :
- green video during recording (unless you use purely software recorder like CamU)
- very laggy browser (unless you use it on daily basis its okay, otherwise - replace the browser)
- may end up in bootloop if you choose different boot animation (I have experimented with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chummy.jezebel.projectflo Project Flo and had problems)
Curious things I have spotted :
- outstanding performance on the battery! (1-2 percent of battery overnight!!!) - my Ace2 on this rom sleeps very well (during normal usage of the phone it is not so good as LP's user interface is just more CPU hungry at times)
- streaming via youtube worked fine for me (using application)
Quick hint for people which would like to install it :
Before installation please repartition your Ace2 to have more space on system and data partitions - this way you can really enjoy using this OS without stressing that your running out of space for applications (if you don't know what repartition is - please do not do it! That is why I am not providing a link but you can easily find the scripts here in Ace2 Development section)

Yeah, I'll try to search them. You know, I don't own a galaxy ace 2 anymore (bricked it), so I need to search in the forum (in Polish).
Edit : sorry, but there is no Changelog. Straciatella are not writing them. You can search on Gerrit though.

i don't think so ....
If u've flashed wrong bootloader then u'Re always able to write proper bootloader again with an Riff-Box !
The mini usb-jig for the ace2 serves nothing ! - This is only useful if some Buttons are broken and u can't boot to the download-mode !!
btw: it's then Softbricked ...
Hardbricked is when the Hardware is broken ...
Is there a remote chance to fix green video recording bug in the future?
Last LP builds are really good. I could have them for everyday use, Chrono's Omni, Sergeyl and Polish's CM12.1....
But a phone with no videocamera... Probably very soon I will have to restore my KK backup.

So, I bought a new phone ( a Galaxy S4 LTE for 110 € - about 117 $)

You still can have installed both KK and LP ROMs at the same time. Seriously, it's not so complicated. I have used this combo (Vanir KK + Omni LP) until I realized that I mostly use Omni than Vanir. Only annoying thing was, that switching between ROMs required reboot.

Thanks, I read that post, but I'm almost sure I'd screw up something. I see some things I'm not sure I'll do correctly.
Also, most LP's have your kernel and it works fine, but I won't be able to try other ROMs with different kernels.
I read it's not compatible CM11 + CM12 (because CM11's ramdisk doesn't have some modifications needed to use SELinux).
And one last doubt, everytime I change ROM, I have to re-send phone number to enable Whastapp... So if I boot and switch ROMs, will I have to do it every times?

Hmm, that's an outdated information. It was the true when CM12.1 didn't support kernel builds without SElinux, but now LP+KK combo is fully supported.

I can't say for sure since I don't use whatsapp. How about backing it up before you update the ROM, and then to restore it?

Maybe that would be a problem. Whatsapp backups usually ends in delayed messages. It's a funny app to restore.

DOWNLOAD OmniROM for Xperia X
NOTICE: Install TWRP from second post if you are currently using a sonyxperiadev kernel based recovery
If you don't you might and up with a non-working touchscreen in recovery
OmniROM weeklies for Xperia X have been around since the beginning of march 2017. Untill now, all weekly builds were based on AOSP and using a fork of het sonyxperiadev unified kernel.
All roms for all devices which are based on this fantastic sony opensource project have one thing in common: they lack the user experience of stock based camera. Which seems to be a blocking issue for many users to use OmniROM (or any custom rom based on the AOSP OSS project for that sake) as a daily driver.
Last weeks @humberos, @oshmoun and me worked very hard to implement this in OmniROM, and we are proud to announce that starting this weekly build, stock camera is implemented in OmniROM.
Please report any issues here. Please keep in mind that we can only look into issues we always need LOGCATS and DMESGS. For howto's and tuts for adb and pulling logs with adb, please use XDA search function, or use google.
Known issue for now, is that 4K videorecording is not working. We disabled that in current builds.

Thanks for the ROM, I was looking forward this after the closing of Concept project! Only one question: the bugs are the same between Xperia X and Xperia X Compact? Because X Compact has
1. 4K video recording is disabled
2. Video recording using the default camera app only records up to about 25 seconds
(use open camera or any other camera app to avoid the issue)
3. H+ symbol does not show when connected using HSPA+
while here is said it only has the first bug. Thanks in advance!

Does this mean that after flashing TWRP (and Lineage) I can use the GSI which suits me best? Or am I limited to the Lineage build mentioned in OP? Anyways, great work!
After installing Treble supported ROM along with Treble supported TWRP (in first post), how to get back to non-treble ROM later? Just flash standard (non-treble) TWRP and standard (non-treble) ROM?
Just restore or flash ROM of your choice. Nougat, Oreo.. it don't matter use the same twrp

Can you give telegram link
You don't know how excited I was when I saw "treble" in the title, it's what our cedric needs the most right now! Will try very soon.
I've just been using the LOS build from the OP and am wondering if there is there any way currently to get the fingerprint gestures in Moto Actions to work? There seems to be built in gestures for navigation enabled separately by default, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change them?
Also there doesn't seem to be any way that I have found to disable the navigation bar. The option that is present in the settings for the non-treble LOS 15.1 to disable it is missing from the settings, and adding "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" to the build.prop doesn't seem to have any effect. Is there some way to disable it that I am missing?
Either way I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into getting this up and running for our device, many thanks!
I need to fix Moto actions. Because of my testers not reporting stuff to me the public build has broken Moto actions

I've tried to install it, but it never started to boot and always threw me back into bootloader. Maybe I'm doing some mistake.

Yeah, LineageOS for Treble in first thread. It booted into OS, but it doesn't seem to be as a daily driver for me.
Hello, currently I am using the unofficial LOS15.1 kindly developed by CodeZero with the associated underlying TWRP 64bit. I am not technical enough to understand the reach of this Treble, so could a reader of this message advise on the following:
could I replace that LOS version with this treble LOS one (only need/want plain vanilla LOS woth Moto gestures). Is the "cook-book"in the header also applicable to my situation? Anything to absolute note (bit afraid to hard brick) outside of that. Thanks in advance for advise.
I noted already that Moto gestures in the current version still needs some enhancement.

[Kirin devices] TWRP(ISH) for 8.1 GSIs (tested on Kirin 960)

Duplicate of post on the honor 9 forums, because no one looks on there for stuff anymore
lets make this very clear:
I HAVE NOT DEVELOPED THIS, IT WAS LINKED IN ANOTHER FORUM BY ANOTHER MEMBER WHO ALSO DID NOT DEVELOP IT
this is actually developed by a member over at the Chinese website '7to' http://www.7to.cn, so its a recovery based on TWRP 3.2.1 but seems to have its own UI and feature set.
WORKING
Code:
[COLOR="Black"][LIST]
[*]Boots to TWRP!
[*]Can flash images to system (MUST BE ON SD CARD!!!!)
[*]ADB
[*]Mount system R/W
[/LIST][/COLOR]
NOT WORKING
Code:
[COLOR="Black"][LIST]
[*]Decryption
[*]Data backup
[*]Flash from internal storage (since it cant be decrypted)
[/LIST][/COLOR]
I am not responsible if you brick your device, flash with caution and ONLY on an 8.1 GSI where your current TWRP doesn't work.
This does not do anything to capacitive keys, if they work before flashing they will work after flashing

thanks!
I just want to use the magisk, and then i will try it on treble-rom.
couple of bugs
1. screen brightness is somehow set to 182%
2. cannot turn the screen off, it just sets it to a lock screen where it makes it slide to unlock, but the screen is not off, still on
3. its in chinese, i got to change it to engish, but some users arent smart enough to do that

I have this installed on my honor 9, and those bugs don't seem to occur, and, I know it's in Chinese, but it's easy enough to go into the settings and change it. If the users aren't smart enough to click 2 buttons they shouldn't have an unlocked bootloader.
I did actually try looking for a newer version in the 7to forums, but since it was all in Chinese (and Google translate wasn't too helpful) and the fact that the website is rubbishly designed, I couldn't find anything, but, this works for now, at least it can flash stuff and boots, that ls really all that's needed.
Actually, in chinese forums, its not hard to find this.
Here I share the latest twrp, which could be used in all kirin services and support treble roms in theory, and its develoler is "残芯此生不换".

(MOD) Center Clock Mod - Magisk Module - Android 11

Hi all,
One of the things that was missing for me was the center clock.
The void in the middle needed to be filled so here you have a module to place the clock smack in the middle, it's not off center like previous mods, this one is as it should be.
Flashing always at your own risk, please read all instructions before flashing, module has been tested and is working on the latest android 11 BA running OOS, untested on non OOS ROM's
NOTES
-----------------
This will cause issues with android auto!
Does not work on Android 10
Confirmed working on Android 11 open beta 2
Confirmed working on Android 11 open beta 3
Confirmed working on OB4
Confirmed working on stable 11.0.2.2
Installation
-------------------
Pre-requisites
Rooted Oneplus 8 Pro
Android 11 Stable
Magisk Manager
Installation instructions
1. Download the module from here:
11.0.0 https://mega.nz/folder/OB8hXYqK#4hVILxDw-K7EKemL3FDNwQ
11.0.1.1

11.0.2.2
2.51 MB folder on MEGA
mega.nz
11.0.4.4
0 byte folder on MEGA
mega.nz
11.0.5.5
the module for 4.4 seems to be working fine for 5.5
If you have issues then disable it, reboot, re-enable then reboot and test.
11.0.6.6
2.51 MB folder on MEGA
mega.nz
11.0.7.7
Use the 0.6.6 version, it reloaded first time for me, i don't believe they changed OPSystemUI.apk so it's probably the exact same apk.
11.0.8.8
2.51 MB folder on MEGA
mega.nz
11.0.9.9
As this is only Octobers security update you can continue to use 11.0.8.8 thanks @mac796 for clarifying functionality.
11.0.10.10
Again no changes to OPSystemUI.apk so the previous release will continue to work on this version
2. Copy to your phones storage
3. Open Magisk and select the modules icon
4. Click "Install from storage"
5. Navigate to the downloaded folder and choose the zip inside.
6. Allow it to complete and then reboot.

Troubleshooting
------------------------------
Magisk module failure.
This works for any magisk module failure.
1. Power off your phone by holding the power button, then turn it back on.
2. As your phone gets to the bootloader warning screen, press and hold volume up and down and continue to hold until the phone shows the boot animation.
3. You'll boot to safe mode, simply reboot once more.
4. On next boot all your magisk modules will be disabled, remove the problematic module and re-enable the functional ones.
Original mod made by
11-11.0.2.2
@Tulsadiver & @dianoandr tested by myself, absolutely massive thanks to them for this.
11.0.4.4 and onwards made by myself, original pixel version by Tulsadiver
REQUESTS
----------------
I can maybe do requests, but they won't be a priority and if i don't have the device, you will have to provide me the files required and give me the android version you're on, OS and you'll be testing too.

I don't have an easy route to 11.
I'm on a Sprint\Tmo OP8.
I don't have Local Upgrade.
OTA disabled due to root and Tmo hasn't finished A11 anyway.
I'm hoping someone will make a A11 full rom to flash via TWRP to get me there

I have to MSM back to stock? Then convert via fastboot? Idk... Very confusing reading it all.
Or I'm just too dense.

Lol nah it's worrying doing these things but it's not usually as hard as you think.
Get it planned out before hand, I've rebranded before, on the p20 pro and I think a few HTC devices.
You'd be hard pushed to brick a OnePlus phone tbh.
But you're right to be careful. Just make a back up first.

So persist and boot is fine. But you probably won't be needing any of them.
As for the rest of it, backing up via twrp is one thing but at the point there ain't a functional copy of twrp for 11.
So backing up to twrp might not be the best idea.
I got out all my pics, vids, music, synced contacts with an account (Google) or sync everything to Google (I don't mean a back up as a single image, that's your choice)
Apps I would make a titanium back up of.
Then theres pretty much nothing left.
Copy all the titanium files out, that'll serve you well when you're ready to restore.
Then head down the rebranding route..
I'm not great with changing variant but I would back up also maybe your EFS partition if that's still a thing (IMEI's) just because of the networks hold on things, I can't think of anything else you could lose out on..
I'll check out the rebranding guides and see if I can make easier sense of it for you.

Sadly some games and streaming apps like amazon prime display below the front canera....the result is a black bar just till the front camera
The notchkiller mods solved that issue but none of them working on android 11 so i was just asking if there any compatible version of the mod
Earlier netflix had this problem too but now they have solved it.

There's a feature to change screen in android 11.
Plus you have the cut out option in display.
