Question Greetings - Has Anyone Put Linux (Ubuntu etc) on the Duel 2? - Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2

Howdy!
Sorry to bother you, may I ask if anyone has put linux on the Duel 2 phone?
Ubuntu Touch doesn't support the phone and I have no idea how to start porting.

[Q] Is there some way to install Android 2.2 on HD2 main memory and not on SD card?

Hi,im new to this forum and first i would like to apologize if i posted in a wrong place.
Please delete or move this thread to an appropriate place if needed.
Last night i managed to install HTC Desire Android 2.2 on my HD2 and it works perfect!
Unfortunately its working strictly from the SD card so its a bit sluggish.
Is there some way to install Android 2.2 on HD2 main memory and delete Windows Mobile for good?
Thank you!

Im new to changing roms and i dont know if it is possible to delete Win Mobile and replace it with Android.
And if it is possible please direct me to correct stable rom.
Again thanks!
at the moment the answer is no i'm afraid. people are working on getting droid running from the phone but don't expect a replacement any time soon.
i'd advise you search as there is plenty of info about this

Chris

As Chris said above, it's not possible yet. The devs are hard at work on this as we speak and hopefully it won't be long.
P.S. if you have any more questions on Android on the HD2, please post in the HD2 Android General forum
And welcome to xda

There's no need for that kind of language...it's not tolerated in this forum. While it may be frustrating seeing the same posts over and over, it would be a little more helpful if you were to help the OP and guide him to where he should be looking.
Thank you for answering this.
Im sure its pretty hard to redesign OS like Android to work on device that is not intended to run it.
The guys at XDA are doing a great job!
I apologize for opening another thread about Android.
Is there some news about WinMobile 7?
I heard that MS officially dropped support for HD2.
Will there be custom ROMs based on Win7 for HD2?

A little help - Install Clockwork and after android

Hello guys. I have a touchpad and want to install android on it. First of all i want to know if i can keep webos on the tablet and dual-boot with android?
i need a step by step to install clockwork...after that's made it's simple to install android...or i hope so it's the same as on my htc phone.
Thanks in advance, Stefan.
I'm just going to send you here:

Yeah, seriously...there have been like lots of other posts asking these same 2 questions. You might try reading through the forums. You would find your answers pretty quickly. Or use google. Look here for some answers.
It's not the same as installing Android on your HTC. It's actually easier. And thankfully (because believe it or not there are a lot of idiots out there) it's more difficult to screw it up. Anyway, you'll find good tutorials here. And that guy is much nicer than I am about dumb questions.
You can thank me by using Google next time, or the search forum feature here. It's a little button up near the top right.
thanks for the help guys
Ps: for those that think that i'm lazy...i'm not...i searched for some info and wasn't sure about some things. it;s a forum and it's better to ask for help instead of making your device result in a brick !

Ubuntu progress?

Hello fellows
I've seen the ongrowing ubuntu release for the Prime, and I'd like to know please the current state of the project?
In the thread (/showthread.php?t=1603921) it is written that there are few bugs \ unworking stuff, but from a quick look on the comments I could understand that alot have been fixed, and I'd really like to know what are the current state of it? What are the known bugs? and how does it work on the Prime (laggy, or fluent?).
Also, may I have a detailed tutorial to REMOVE COMPLETELY the Android system, and put in the Ubuntu, if I can? Or atleast a tutorial on how to install Ubunto?
Thanks in advance for your HUGE help for my long *ss question...

Nope, project got cancled. Since "Little Steve" (the dev behind it) has an Windows 8 tablet he won't continue it, I asked him via Twitter.
Well, and no you can't get Windows 8 either on it (sadly).

Help with ported Cyanogenmod rom

Ok, when it comes to scripting, I'll be the first to admit I have zero understanding of what I'm doing. So instead of torturing myself trying to port Cyanogenmod myself, I thought I would ask here to see if anyone has already done it. I need it ported for a Blu Studio 5.0 C e. I don't care if it is not perfect, in fact I don't expect it to be. However I am starting to despise Kitkat, and I know I love Cyanogenmod. If it turns out no one has it, a few tips on what part of my head the hair should come out of first would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sam
