Question Oneplus 10T assistance - OnePlus 10T 5G

Hi! I just bought the Oneplus 10T 5G, and its inability to maintain a 120 refresh rate is annoying, because it throttles to 60 the second I switch to certain apps. I'm also experiencing a bit of lag with some games I had no issues running on my previous phone (Xiaomi 11 LITE 5G NE), so is there anything I should do for a consistent boost in performance? I have high performance on via the battery settings, but is there anything else that I can do just to make the performance better?

I found just one way to lock screen at 120Hz and it requires root. Run these commands using adb shell or terminal emulator:
Code:
su
service call SurfaceFlinger 1035 i32 0

If you don't want to root, download SetEdit from the Play Store. Look for peak_refresh_rate. If it's there, change it to 59.9. If it's not, add peak_refresh_rate and set it at 59.9. This works on my 9 and I would assume would work for you on the 10T too. It even works on the 9 on OOS13.
I don't know how long this lasts, you will have to re-apply it at some point, definitely after a reboot, but it forces 120hz without root on all apps. See in this screenshot of YouTube (and my device doesn't have LTPO so the developer option to view the refresh rate does work properly).

I've tried all the apps to gain 120Hz, especially in YouTube. Blows my mind that OP allows phones to be sent out with YouTube running at 69Hz.
Anyway
s, download SmartHertz, then donate $1 and it'll allow you to download an official .apk for their app with NO ROOT required! You can force ANY app to run at 120Hz and more things you can do in settings. Works absolutely flawless!

If you didn't know the OnePlus 10t has a very special screen it's if I'm not mistaken the LED TDR which basically means each pixel on the phone can set its own resolution and own frame rate that's what adaptive frame rate actually refers to so you can't lock it in place, I've tried every method you can think of besides for rooting the phone which is probably the only way to do that but I'm pretty sure you're going to significantly decrease the battery life of the phone

So that FPS counter is wrong and that screenshot because one you can use that and then any other FPS app to show you your FPS and I'll show different FPS rates since the screen has multiple fps's for whatever reason the built-in system and like for instance the OnePlus gaming app will show different frame rates you're having framer issues one going to developer options turn on always GPU rendering for you to display and then go to your battery settings and turn on your performance mode now if you have a shortcut app there's a secondary performance mode it's the built-in one for Android you can flick that on too that also helps the only other thing you can do is in the OnePlus gaming app going to it and turn on high performance mode turn your screen sensitivity all the way up and the game mode performance all the way up you won't be able to mess with the FPS settings but you should at least be at a constant 60 or higher.

Any night mode app which can turn page black, font white

Often at night when I use phone lowest brightness is still bright so I found apps which can dim it further but then they loose screen contrast too making it difficult to read.
Is there any app which can make night mode of selected apps (browser/gtalk/gmail/other few user selectable apps) background dark & font light / white similar to youtube app?
UC browser had this night mode earlier but latest version they have removed this feature. Ideally such app should be time sensitive & as the night time approaches it should start applying the night mode.
This is what I am looking to achieve
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990102
or
like this in reverse it would save battery specially in night.

The closet App I can think of is CF.Lumen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1336643
It automatically changes the screen intensity/Colours according to the time of day. Brilliant app, and had actually improved my Sleep cycle.
Note : It's a addon for Chainfire 3D pro:
http://market.android.com/details?id=eu.chainfire.cf3d.pro
But the Free version has Render effects also, which also may help:

Regards and good luck.
I looked at CF.Lumens but that does different colors in night mode not what I am looking for but thanks for finding it for me.
I wish some developers can work on this concept.
What about Lux Auto Brightness?

Same problem actually all apps adjust brightness "only" they don't adjust contrast which at low brightness is required to maintain good readability. I wish some one makes this app it should be simple to do so just by altering the color value as per user time table.
Me to .
My need is for an app or a MOD that wpuld provide me woth a button thatwould allow me tochangethecolors and cntrast and brightness of all the phone.
I will use it while using the phone in the bed.
Similar to what read view with night mode in dolphin browser.
I don't know those kind of apps but when I want to use my phone at night, I use an app called "Screen Filter".
I also use screen filter but it cannot function at low brightness of 20-30% the screen looses its contrast. The only solution to this problem is night mode which many gps app have it they reverse the diplay and increse visual contrast which helps alot in saving battery too. I hope some developer can work on this idea and make an app.
Bumping it up again after 6 months hoping some one knows any such app?

Wifi refresh rate differences between roms/kernels

First, a little background info:
I work for an underground utility locating company in southeast Texas. Over time, the requirements of the job cause me to literally drive down every street in my area. Because of this fact, I use Wigle Wifi war-driving app and eventually will get mappings for every access point in my area.
Now for the question:
Wigle Wifi shows the wifi refresh rate at the top of the screen within the app. On stock KH7 and KK6, this rate shows 3500ms. In ICS, the user is allowed to select 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and Auto. Just scanning 2.4 GHz, the refresh rate is cut down to 1000ms, about 1/3 the rate that "Auto" does. In this mode, (depending on the rom I'm running at the time) the rate varies from a low of 900ms (on Shostock ICS 3.0.1 and PhoneBricker) to a high of about 1200ms (CM9, AOKP and Serendipity 9). It always scans at the same rate regardless of OC/UV. Some kernels that have references to wifi in their change logs or feature lists will enable the faster refresh rates on roms that didn't have it before (Fluxi is the only one that comes to mind at the moment, there may be more).
Can anyone tell me what causes the different scan rates between these roms? Wifi references in kernel/rom feature lists don't really point to a cause for the difference. I know that just 300ms difference might seem like I'm splitting hairs, but at near highway speeds, it really makes a big difference in the number of AP's I can catch.
Sorry for the long post. I know we need to keep them short and sweet, but I felt the research I've done so far needed to be included here.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this community, especially the devs!
same problem here... are there any settings I can modify to speed up the wifi refreshing?

The Wi-Fi refresh rate can easily be modified by editing the WiFi scan interval in the build-prop.

The roms the OP mentioned are custom roms built specifically for the i777 with modified scan rates, whereas the AOSP roms were ports/source builds that used generic scan settings.

Set minimum brightness level with automatic brightness still enabled?

In a completely dark room, this phones screen get way too dim for my liking as it will automatically drop all the way to 0% brightness.
I don't want to disable automatic brightness as it's a pain manually adjusting the level in pretty much every other environment.
I do want to be able to set the phone to never drop below ~10% even when I'm in a totally dark room though. I know I use to be able to do this with an older android phone but it may have been my Samsung Galaxy S4 from many years back.
Is there any way to set a minimum level for the brightness on the V30? The only area in the settings I can find doesn't have an option to do it.

You have to use an app to do that. There's an app called Lux available in Google Play which lets you control auto brightness better than LG software does. Lux Lite is the free version, and Lux is the paid version. A lot of people have recommended it.
You can set it to be brighter than LG allows, for instance.
Wow i want the same brigtness managment for my V30+ because in auto he won't go under 15% in a dark room and it's better for my eyes when i set it at 10% (No oreo here).

Huge antutu score drop after changing ROM from LineageOS 14.1 to 15.1

I've just changed my ROM from LinegaeOS 14.1 to lineage-15.1-20180912-nightly-x2-signed (there were at forst some Vendor problems). I have noticed huge Antutu score loss from 150 000 to 60 000. It looks like there are some problems with 3D drivers. The Rafinery only works for few seconds and freezes.
There are also few other errors when I'm trying to acces gallery or make some calls. But everything works. It is even smoother than 14.1 , 3d games work good.
I tried to reflash the rom and added also: addonsu-15.1-arm64-signed , firmware-30S-X820-le_x2 , open_gapps-arm64-8.1-micro-20180914
The modem and signal works nincer now I think, but the low score and errors remain.

Heyyo, I am the official maintainer of Le Max 2 for LineageOS 15.1 and I think there could be a problem with some of your apps.
That java error seems to be for an app called Sound About. I'd recommend going into settings > apps > select sound about app > force stop > storage > clear data and then try to start the app again and see if it functions normally.
If there is still other potential apps causing performance issues I'd recommend using an app like Gsam battery monitor with more info enabled in the settings to see what might be sapping all your cpu usage.
Your performance should be around 165000 as that is what I tend to get with AnTuTu benchmark.
Attached is my AnTuTu result I just did a run.
Yes the problem with Instantiate Action Error: Java Class not found was made by SoundAbout. Simple reinstallation fixed it. It is very popular error in OnePlus 5/5T when they were changing to 8.1
Yes I have huge problem also with the battery. During the night 8h it drops from 90% to 30% with no LTE, 3G, GPS, wifi....
Which screenshot from gsam battery would satisfy You?
At first I thought It was the CPU which was stuck, but in AIDA it looks like it works in dynamic mode.
Heyyo, oh for gsam battery monitor please go into settings > more > enable more stats and follow the instructions if you have root or use a PC with ADB to give the app permissions it needs to sort battery usage per app.
Today I just got this score. I don't know what helped, this SoundAbout or jus restarting the phone few times or a some behing update.

Question Sudden high battery drain ReVanced YouTube

I have this S23 Ultra for 3 weeks ish now and it was amazing on battery with YouTube ReVanced often getting 8-10h screen on with YouTube easily with 30+% left. Suddenly today it got pretty hot and battery drains like crazy in YouTube ReVanced.
I repatched the newest supported version, clean installed it, updated to latest microg, full shutdown and cold boot of the phone, cleared caches, nothing helps. Both on wifi and 5G the drain is this high.
Auto brightness was my second suspect and I checked the slider in the notification panel and it behaves normally. It responds to changes in ambient light as normal during YouTube and isn't overly high.
Anyone have any ideas what can cause it?
Check the screenshots (in Dutch unfortunately) for the difference in screen on and YouTube usage times.
8h+ sot and like 40% left so good:

Today, bad. Only 5+h screen on and way less YouTube and battery is basically empty.
update it, the icon even changed since then. You're on a old revision.
A big factor is what your screen brightness was when watching videos. If you watch videos in low brightness (like during nighttime), then there will be a big difference to battery life compared to watching videos in high brightness.
No problems here

Icon is manually set with Goodlocks theme engine from UX LED icon pack
But, i'm an xxxxx. I figured it out. It wasn't YouTube at all...
I got a new driver's license yesterday which I keep between my back case and the phone. This new one has NFC... It was just scanning NFC all day long with the phone unlocked... This apparently doesn't show up anywhere in battery stats.
Obviously I have NFC basically always on for Google Pay and such so yeah.
I can't keep my license in there anymore as there seems to be no real way to keep NFC on for pay but not read stuff constantly.
I'll figure something out. But problem solved.
