Sir this trick can be work when your stb is upgrade mode , switch off stb , so turn on stb and see bootloader mode so you can downgrade version by pendrive

Sir Mera matlab ye ki jab stb Naya hota hai aur wo update hota hai toh hum uska switch off karde, jab switch on karenge toh uska software remove ho jayega aur wo show karega ki app pendrive se software daliye mene esa ek bar 2021 wale box ke sath kiya tha , means box brick ho jayega

You misread OP.
He had MDZ16AB exchanged by Xiaomi for a MDZ22AB.
There is ZERO chance to change your MDZ21AA to English version. Best you could do is possibly get partial English menu. Try http://en.miui.com/thread-391907-1-1.html

Is there a way to get audio passthrough always option?
My only problem is cant get HD audio from mdz-22-ab to AV receiver. Supports only PCM.

Since the update to Android 8.1 on my Mi Box S (MDZ-22-AB) im facing random wifi drops and worse WIFI speed on Mi Box. Even if the router is next to the Mi Box it doesnt matter.
Second I tried to connect an usb to ethernet Adapter to the Mi Box. But still the connection is even more worse !
Does anyone know how to switch back (Downgrade MDZ-22-AB) to Android 7 or 6? Its freaking me out. Since the update this thing is a brick. Ive seen that there is a possibility to downgrade the MDZ-16-AB Version
to Marshmallow.
Anyone help please how to solve this issue?
Not Possible, to downgrade you need a rootable (userdebug) rom and this does not exits once your on Oreo.

MDZ22AB shipped with Oreo 8.1 stock, from its initial introduction. Within a few weeks there were 2 OTA 8.1 build updates issued by Xiaomi.
There was never a Nougat or MM version for MDZ22AB.
If you want MM or Nougat, get an original MDZ16AB as it ships stock with MM and can be easily converted to various builds of MM or Nougat.

That's weird because my mibox made an update. After that update that thing is a brick. So that means I cannot fix the problem with slow wifi or Ethernet ?
Maybe ethernet is slower than WiFi cause I'm not using an original xiamoi to Ethernet Adapter?

Guys when your wifi is slow just buy the original mi box ethernet adapter to usb. Its best compatible with the mi box. No more break down

reboot and device will prompt for OTA update

Ask another person to apply power while you hold buttons. Careful not to touch outer ring on remote, only the center button.
Be patient.
As long as you have lights on MiBox you can enter recovery.

MiBox S doesn't start. No image on screen, LED is off, I cannot enter recovery. Only red light from 3.5mm AV port.

(OS windows 7)
Open cmd on ADB folder.
Boot in to bootloader (usb pluged and press vol + and power), let windows install the phone.
execute the command.

Then i have install this version GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8 as any other app.
Done!

Hello friends. I have modified an image for Amlogic S905D with Amlogic custom Tools 6.
Everything works correctly except WIFI .... I activate the button but it doesn't work ....
I have looked and within the image I do not see the corresponding drivers ....
I have opened another image that works correctly and I have copied the drivers from the folder Level 2/system/wifi and inserted them in the image in the same folder Level2/system/wifi but it has not worked.
I have also downloaded some drivers for android for my wifi module, I have entered them manually and I have also tried in the Firmware folder ....... it has not worked either .....
I think more files or settings are needed to be done ..... but I don't have any more ideas ...
Can you help me? My wifi module is: aigale aw-cm273sm based on QCA9377

You should also copy the firmware folder and check vendor folder too for any wifi related files

Sadly, I just tried to insert the firmware, wifi and vendor folders into the image and it still doesn't work ...
Maybe it could be a problem that I am getting the drivers of a higher version Android 7 and the one I want to compile is Android 6, which is what I need ......
Is there a way to get the drivers for an OTA update ??? I have looked but it's all inside "system.new.dat" how can I open this OTA package completely and see inside?

I have extracted from it everything related to WIFI-WLAN-Bluetooth since it is the same module ..... I have even changed the .jar applications
Nothing there is no way ..... Bluetooth works perfectly but WIFI there is no way .....
I have run out of ideas .... I have changed EVERYTHING related to the WIFI module !!!

I need to extract them because I need to compile my own image because my device has satellite , cable and DVB-T2 tuners..... That is why it is the reason for Android 6, because the DVB API of A6 is the source code that I have.
What would be all the folders in this image to extract and insert into my image?
I also see that they are arm64 ..... my A6 image not.
EDIT: I just tested the drivers for this image and are in the Kernel, I can't open the kernel for this image. It gives me an error, or it is closed or it is a fairly new version of Kernel.

i know russian language very well and i'm registered on a good forum 4PDA, from there i can get you links with firmwares for S905D boxes if you want.
the DTVLauncher.apk and th_dtv.apk are in system/app or system/priv-app, upload them on some file sharing services like zippyshare.com

As I said, I need the drivers and the way to introduce them in the image, because nothing I have has worked .... I have the original drivers and the original software with the original drivers, but I still have something to load because not working ... My wifi module is: aigale aw-cm273sm based on QCA9377
On your order ..... I don't have any of those files on my system .... Maybe your device is different from mine .... The only thing I have similar is /System/app/DVB_905_player.apk and /system/priv-app/TV_Setting.apk

GSI its start booting (showing bootanimation) after a few minutes my phone remained on but the screen went dark and vibrated then displayed bootanimation again (the phone did not restart and was still switched on while this process was running).

I am tried this gsi on my Redmi note 7 if can boot but only bootloop. It is arm64 version in these days you can try this on almost every treble device.

This is A/B version. I tried on phone because I did not have any TV or box where I can test this.

Theoretically, I only did it if someone used it.
This seems like an excellent idea to me, it is a pity that you have not continued carrying it out, a 70 dollar cell phone is much more powerful than a 70 dollar tv box, only your rom, an mhl adapter and the television would be enough to have a tv box with much more power and ram than conventional ones. Please resume the project.
