Question I'm here to stay! GO OnePlus! - OnePlus 10T 5G

I've settled on just keeping the 10T. I returned my Pixel 7 pro and keeping this 10T! The charging and battery life have been quite the turning point for me.
I'll deal with any other issues. I like the phone! Ok, I apologize for my earlier angry posts. I think they were more sadness than anger.

Good to see you back! Cheers

Hope you'll not be ranting again once you update to OOS13.

I love the charging. The android flavor is pretty good. Camera is sufficient for my needs. Battery life has been amazing. Rooted easily with unlocked bootloader. The phone doesn't get hot like the pixel 6a did for me. Performance has been great for me.
Oh yeah, and the possibility of custom ROMs...and the price is amazing for what you get. I traded in my 8t for I think $300, which was a great deal.

I went with 10T for the newer snapdragon processor, faster charging and slightly better price.
The 10 pro has better camera supposedly. So you would have to decide, but I'm sure it's a fine phone as well.

Went from Nexus 6 to Xperia Z3v

I was one of those looking forward to Verizon getting the actual Z3 and was disappointed when that didn't really happen. Couple months ago went with the Nexus 6, dealt with the preorder nightmare for weeks before getting one. Liked it a lot, liked lollipop, but didn't love it. Decided to sell mine and try out the Z3v due to the amazing reviews. WOW, I wish I went with this in the beginning. Better camera, more manageable size, I'm assuming better battery.
Very pleased with this phone, can't wait for the next Xperia on Verizon.
Any great tricks I should know?
I did the exact opposite. Got the Z3 didnt really care for it much. Bought a Nexus 6 and haven't looked back. Absolutely love it!!

One of the best phones I have had thus far, battery life is just insane.
Now if we could get root and some custom ROMs I would be elated. :good:

Same here! I don't see it happening though. I'm also worried it will be forever before we see Lollipop due to Verizon's history with releases.
However, even coming from the Nexus and losing Lollipop I don't mind.
I went from my Z3, tried the Nexus 6 for a few days, then went back to my Z3 and couldn't be happier. I'm a fan of Nexus devices (had all of them since the Nexus S), but I just love my Z3 too much. From the size, super bright screen which kills the N6 or any other phone, front speakers, camera button, battery life is nuts, overall feel and it's waterproof is all a plus over the N6 for me.

I have been a huge nexus fan myself. I made the jump from the Nexus 4 to this. I love it. The audio quality is great with headphones. I tried droid turbo note4 then settled on this. Small form factor for the win. Honestly feels like a slightly larger snappier nexus4.

The guy who posted this doesn't have our version of phone if you check his profile. Please don't take this post too seriously until someone posts evidence of the Sony Xperia Z3v with this mod. If I have time tomorrow I will try to get some more info unless someone beats me to it.
That's what I thought. There's no way our phones will get root anytime soon, especially not before lollipop.
@brucelee @GigaSPX . sorry lads. you're right. not confirmed.

SOLVED! What phone can replace the Nexus 6P [life help]

I decided to get a mint black HTC 10 from swappa, sooo much smaller and everything else is just as great. miss HDR+ but love everything about it. thanks for all your help everyone!
ORIGINAL POST BELOW
So I love my 6P, battery life if not so great but I absolutely love the camera! as do most friends and family always saying my pics look amazing!
Anyway, I really hate having a large brick (nexus 6p) in my pocket. I thought in time I would adjust but it's been over a year and I still dislike how large it is -__- so question is simple.... what phone 5 inch ish would you switch too? as far as camera's go, right now I think Moto G5 Plus is the closest thing (with wide pixels 1.4um) but it seems the phone is kinda big also.
Fire away and help a brother out with phone recommendations! Thanks!
I've had my eyes on OnePlus, but I'm waiting for the 5.

I don't think I could go back to a screen any smaller than 5.5 inches now. It can be unwieldy for sure, so I get that it isn't for everyone. I did love my s6 edge size wise though, and that was only 5.1 inches.

i did see it on htc website but hoped it coups be had for cheaper considering i paid $450 for my new nexus 6p last year
if u can afford a google pixel then go ahead if not i advice with the Nexus 5x, it has a wonderful camera especially with the HDR+ . but if u want a bigger size then go for the Oneplus 3T. but staying in google phones would be better to keep having the latest software updates.

Decided to make the change. Will miss you.

After my Axon got wrecked, my service center replaced my whole device under warranty, so I didn't unseal the box and managed to sell it for 200€.
I'm getting paid in the end of the month and will pick up the Pocophone F1 in the Axon's place.
It's been a wonderful journey owning this phone, great dev support, wouldn't have used it this long if it wasn't for that.
A big thank you to everyone in this forum, I'll miss you.

Thank you for all your support to the community.
Hope you will have some good time with your new phone.
I am using Xiaomi devices since one year and I love the battery life.
Unfortunately the Axon became unusable as a daily driver, because newer ROMs have terrible battery life. So it became more a multimedia device for usage at home.

I'd like to have one as a backup as well but I couldn't keep mine since I'm pretty low on cash. :/

Hahaha, made me laugh, thanks man.
I did ended up bought zenfone 5z mainly for the performance and battery life. I'm gonna keep the axon 7 for backup and sometime use for multimedia device. The dual speaker on axon 7 is one of the best feature I ever use.
For the headphone jack performance. At first, the jack output on 5z was low compare to the axon 7. But after update the output was much better and maybe on par with the axon 7.
The same case for our global axon 7 way back on android marshmellow when headphone output was limited because the EU law and it was fixed on nougat.

See ya man, thanks for your contributions towards this device's community. Been shopping around myself, but think I may hold out a little longer for the next gen phones.
Oh thanks for the offer by the way... :silly:
Great choice.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 inbound, to replace the 2016 ZTE Axon 7. After doing some research, it came down to the LG G7 ThinQ or the Samsung Galaxy S9. I had been holding off to wait and see the new Google Pixel 3, but I just cannot see paying $ 800 for the base model and most of the reviewers still prefer the S9. Amazon sells the 64 GB black Galaxy S9 for $ 620, and that was as good a price as I could find, with the added bonus of more points on the Amazon credit card. This is for the unlocked version, good for GSM and CDMA US carriers, and has a US warranty. I will initially switch my Cricket SIM card into it, while my wife looks into adding it to her Verizon plan. Verizon has much better service in this area than does AT&T/Cricket, and she thinks she can get some sort of family plan or discount. I wanted to have the option of a phone that I could switch between Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and their resellers as needed.
This will be my first Samsung phone, but the people I know who have that brand seem to like them. I am keeping the Axon as a backup and media device.
I'll make the switch after the Axon 9 is released in the US. At that point it will either be the A9 or the Galaxy Note 9. I've heard good things about both, it's a close tie. I'm accustomed to Samsung Android, having owned several of them, but the Note 4 was the last. I'd really like to give ZTE another chance. I just had my A7 returned from a warranty repair, working good as new. There is no real need to get rid of it, but I like to have the latest. The A9 will need to be bootloader-unlockable, rootable, and TWRP available before I'll consider it. I'm sure there will be some good Treble ROMs for both devices.
Nooo!!! Ty for everything

Good device, but battery kinda sucks. Im flashing xiaomi.eu today to see if it helps.
I highly suggest just getting the non-pro version, camera is a little worse, and the performance is slightly less but the better battery and price tag is definitely worth it. I wish I got the non-pro or poco f3.

hey man did the xiaomi.eu rom help with battery?
Need some feedback from people who actually have this device. Is the battery life and camera performance good?
Poco F3 is great but If this one delivers vastly better camera performance and even better speed I may buy it.
I concur, but an actual fingerprint sensor instead of this optical fod crap make it very attractive.
+1 I also want to know about the camera performance as it doesn't have OIS as far as I know.

I have ordered a Mi 11i now. Will report back when I get it. However, I have seen some camera reviews on youtube and on gsmarena. The camera seems to be mediocre. Clearly worse compared to Mi 10/10T Pro/Mi 11. Less detailed photos and worse low light performance. This is probably due to the smaller sensor size and lack of OIS. I will install gcam on mine to boost the camera performance.

Question Is this a bad phone?

Hi.
I really tempted by this phone but I see a few threads were people are having issues. These are bad battery, bad screens, bad fingerprint reader, overheating.
I see that the New Edition is out now. I wonder if this is an admission from Xiaomi that the original was flawed.
The original is now £329 and will soon be OS and the NE is £399.
Would it be crazy to buy the original now?

Hello!
Personally, i like this phone.
I think his design is really cool looking, and the battery life is AMAZING.
Personally, i'm using the Pixel Experience ROM with android 11, because the 12 is in alpha, and battery sucks with it on my phone.
The display isn't that bad, but there is a post already talking about the fact that there is two types of screen. Please, take that in consideration before purchasing!
The photo quality isn't that bad either, but, my friend having a Pixel 4a makes better photos than that. You may even be able to get a Pixel 5 for cheap, nowdays.
I don't know anything about the "NE" model that has been released by Xiaomi, but maybe it has a better camera and battery. You may check review on the web.
By the way, never had bad fingerprint reader issues, and no overheat even in the worst case cenarios. Battery maximum was at 32°C.
