How to install
Make sure you have latest bootloader and modem before installing this.
Make sure you are using the latest Twrp build. (the older ones will fail)
Make sure you have flashed the repartition script.
Download the Lineage build, optionally GApps and Magisk.
In Twrp format data. (Menu > Manage Partitions > Data > Format Data)
In Twrp wipe everything except SD and OTG.
Flash LineageOS.
Optional: Flash GApps (rightafter).
Optional: Flash Magisk.

I keep seeing this "Make sure you have flashed the repartition script." mentioned - what exactly IS that script and why do we need it? I know I didn't need to flash that when flashing a custom A10 rom a year or 2 ago

Because t585 does not contain a vendor partition, so this script repartitions the device and makes a partition for the vendor .

I didn't need that on A10, why do I need it now? Or is that because it's a GSI?
I wish flashing roms didn't get more + more complicated every year

Yes, you need it because the ROM has become GSI, you can try Android 12 using lineage 18 vendor .

OK, thanks for the explanations ... I think I'll stay on my old A10 rom instead. I don't want to mess with partitions and stuff.
Thanks for all your work though

Thanks for the support for T585. Hope you continue supporting it.

Can you flash "any" Android 12 GSI after flashing it or only Android 11 GSI works?
And can you flash it on T580?

Can you make this for T580. Tried this partiton script but got /vendor (invalid argument) error

Hi
I have SM T585 U7
And I flashed (lineage16) on it, then I used ( repartition script) and flashed recovery (3.7.0.gtaxllt) and (lineage 18.1) and I did not like it very much, so I deleted it and also deleted (vendor) and flashed (lineage 16) again and restarted it, and it remained standing on the recovery logo and it did not It works until I flashed (cf root t585) via (odin), so it booted, but whenever I re-install any TWRP, it just stays on the logo and does not boot.
I got bored and wanted to restore the original system and downloaded it and put it in the (odin) and the flashing was successful, but the device continues to restart to no avail
I flashed TWRP again and found system (0
system img (3180
I do not know where the problem is, although the ROM is the original ROM, and the flashing is done successfully in Odin, but without a system
And it continues to restart. The Odin files that I used are the official AP.CP.HOMECSC .CSC.BL
I just want to return the original rom
Do you have a solution.
Thanks

I really need some help
I just installed this ROM successfully yesterday and it was working just fine on my sm-t585
But...
For some reason today it decided to brick my touch
Only the hardware buttons are functional and it's 50% charged so it's gonna take a lot of time for me to try to shut it down
So does anyone have any clue why that happened and how to fix it
(Note: the 2 touch buttons next to the home button are touch as well and they are also bricked)
Edit: I remembered that I installed the repartition script twice and now I have 2 vendors can I get rid of one ?! And how
Edit² : I did some troubleshooting and I found out what caused the touch problem...... It was the darn battery saving mode but now am wondering if anybody encountered the same problem

Hay
First thank you very much for this work
I have install this like your instructions and so far this Rom works fine
I will test this rom and if i find an issue i will report
Great Work
? whoop whoop. Great stuff I'll be giving this a go very soon.
Sent from my S7 using Tapatalk
Can I install this rom on the x20 3gb ram ??
Yes, I've got the 32gb x20 but not tested it yet.
TWRP question. I've already got the TWRP from when I rooted, is this version essential for Lineage?
Installed no problems using existing TWRP.
Flashed as per instructions using the zip queue function
Restoring apps with Titanium
Bugs so far
camera force close when using HDR - I've seen this bug on other ROMS.
This Rom is also for the 3gb 32gb Version.
Ive tested antutu with 66k score.
It seems this Rom need a bit more RAM after all closing i have just around 800mb RAM free.
But Rom is stabile and smooth so far.
I Miss some function of stock Rom but maybe anyone can implement it some day
The button runs well but if i press the button it goes sometimes to clear RAM window.
I have same issue with camera with hdr.
Elephone s7 mini
Dear forum,
a question to this lineageOS Rom. Does it work also for the s7 MINI?
In order of getting rid of the Spam Ad's and a clean install, I would prefere this option
regards & many thanks

So far evening is going fine, I think I have a conflict with gravity box on the pull down status bar tiles. But it's just settings I'll figure out soon.
The one thing I miss is the ability to hide the nav bar but the touch home button seems to be working better than my old stock ROM.
Lspeed & xposed running fine

Have you done custom ROM before?
First stage is to install twrp, you can then make a full backup of existing ROM and root it.
You can then try the ROM if it doesn't work just restore the old.
But with root you can disable or uninstall those firmware ads.

I used the sp flash tool. I also used the scatter file and twrp attached in this forum. It shows that its flashed successfully and then when I go to recovery I still have the stock one. I also tried to flash via s droid. It asked me to unlock bootloader. I did that and it flashed twrp but it gave an error unable to mount storage and kept rebooting.
Any ideas

It's so long ago i cant remember, i only toggled the option in developer options.
No other fancy unlocking.
I know i had driver conflicts on my own laptop so it would see my phone in flash tools.
I used a friends laptop with flash tools and it worked straight away.

DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

I cant get this to boot - keeps asking for android decrypt password - even if I wipe data it asks for it (I know the password is but it says unsuccessful decrypt)
I presume it has something to do with selinux not being supported but since my device was encrypted I cant boot it
Tried restoring stock rom and then flashing it but same result

That's a twrp issue. Go to wipe - data - change file system - ext4. Fixes it or just try to format whole data

doesnt work - if you change to ext4 then you cant decrypt data
I also did fastboot erase userdata which is basically the same thing
Also flashed stock recovery too and it still asks for the decrypt key
Its not a twrp issue (I did compile twrp and its my twrp im using)
I'll just stay on lineage 14.1 until selinux is fix in this

They posted an solution in Cedric tester hub. Let me find it real wuick
Edit: use the format data option and accept by typing "yes"
Selinux isn't problem. A lot of ppl faced that. Join the tester hub If you want to read.

edit ok so after booting back to lineage 14.1 encryption was gone so I flashed back to lineage 15 and it booted
Strange but seems to be the work around for it
TheFixItMan said:
Like I said - I formatted data and user data and it made no difference
if @CodeZero could please post the solution here it would be helpful as I can't boot the rom as it keeps asking for decrypt key even after formating data wiping user data and flashing back to stock rom and reflashing
Iv just booted back to lineage 14.1 so I'll just wait for more information

Builds requires you to be on the latest Pie firmware/vendor. In case you are on Oreo and want to try this ROM, flash Stock Pie vendor on both slots first. You can download it here from my GDrive. This ROM uses prebuilt/non-opensource implementation and thus depends upon the vendor provided by OEM.

Same here. It is flashing "OK" in TWRP but upon reboot it says "No OS installed".
Hey guys,
I'm currently researching a way to upgrade my Nokia 6.1 TA-1054.
Right now the phone is on a "global" Nougat firmware which was preinstalled. I cannot receive updates and am hoping get to an up to date version.
Does anyone know whether it's possible to upgrade to the firmware of this thread, with Nougat as a starting point?
My approach would be to unlock the bootloader, boot into TWRP and install this ROM.
I'd be very thankful for any advice. Hopefully we can establish a process for other people stuck on TA-1054 to update their phones.
Cheers
Where is link???may I knows it

Whatever you do, please do not flash the official Android One ROM on TA-1054. The device will brick permanently with the official Pie update.

Good to see someone got something running/building for the device. I've got the TA-1043 and when needed I can try to help a bit. The Download link ends in a 404, so I guess no builds are available for download. I'm keeping an eye on this thread.

Great to see you managed to run Lineage on this Nokia! I will definitely try it out in some weeks.
Pushed a new build today!
Changelog:
-Fixed in-call audio
-Upstream Kernel
Is it really stable for daily use? Anyone tested? Thanks
Edit: If I flash lineageos and later want to revert to stock how to do it?

It's stable and works great. I don't release untested builds.
For going back to stock again, you can backup before from TWRP, and restore later on.
Nokia 6.1 ROMs list
Hello. I installed the LineageOS 16 on my ta-1043, but i want to know if are there other Pie-based custom ROMs for Nokia 6.1 beside Lineage, aosp extended. Thanks!
I installed the image and after some issues (user error) I managed to get it running. However, I haven't solved all mistakes I made yet. Somehow I can'y seem to flash TWRP 3.2.3 official and Magisk and/or addonsu won't seem to stick. Looks like an issue with the slots. I'm trying a factory reset to see if that helps.
Edit: Got addon su working, flash when booting from slot B, switch slot to slot A, boot bootloader, fastboot boot twrp, install, switch back to B, install again and reboot. However, I didn't manage to flash twrp and Magisk. Ad soon as a patch on boot is done, it gets reset somehow. (and afterwards addon su is gone as well)
Edit 2: I had some issues with contact sync and setup. I had to manually find the apps for setup and contacts sync to give them the required permissions. After a reboot sync worked and android setup was able to finish.

Thank you
Updated from lineage-16.0-20191007-nightly-land-signed to lineage-16.0-20191009-nightly-land-signed via built in updater and now I device bootloops.
It stays on boot logo for some time and then reboots back to TWRP with RescueParty console message.
Using twrp-3.3.1-1-land
lineage-16.0-20191009-nightly-land-signed does not work with open_gapps-arm64-9.0-pico-20191010
- eternal reboot in twrp. Without gapps, everything is fine.
before, los 15.1 and viperos 6.7 worked fine with gapps pico.

I'm using this ROM since Friday. Performance is excellent, battery is great!
The only issue I've found is notifications not showing when I pick up the phone whether the setting is enabled or not.
Anyway, this will be the daily driver for me from now on, I'm loving the fact that the ROM is pure and has all stock Lineage apps (snap camera is excellent!).
Thanks a lot for sharing this!

Had the same issue when installing the latest version (20200521), turns out it will only boot with either the nano GApps package or no GApps installed. Any bigger GApps package results in reboot during first boot and returning to recovery.

Thanks, but I can't figure out how to get a logcat on first boot when adb is still disabled. When I install the rom without GApps and boot it to enable adb and then flash GApps it will just sit on the Lineage animation forever and not reset to TWRP at all.
Also I said it will boot with nano GApps, but actually meant it will only boot with PICO GApps package, nano and bigger will not boot.

Just use pico gapps and install other google apps manually. I'm using this ROM for weeks and loving it. Stable, fast and good battery backup.

Yes that's what i ended up doing. It's no problem for me to use the pico GApps, it was just strange to me that any bigger package did not work.
I have to say this ROM is one of the best so far, and everything seems to work perfectly fine!

I'm using nano Gapps... My guess is that you have something left from previous ROMs on your phone...
A full-clean install is a must, specially if you're changing ROMs... Even internal storage should be cleaned.
