Question Do P50 x EMUI and HarmonyOS smartphones have their own model number? - Huawei P50 Pocket

I was not so far sucessful to find any stock ROMs for the pocket at all.
But for the P50 Pro I found Harmony only for JAD-AL00 but not for the JAD-L29 and the JAD-LX9.
So while with the P40 it was possible to install Harmony OS on an EMUI device I thought maybe they have with P50 tied the OS to the model number so that you could not install HarmonyOS on a global mobile even if it would have exactly identical hardware. That could explain why noone was sucessful installing HarmonyOS on the global phone so far.
I do have the global pocket BAL-L49

Yes same is the case with P50 Pocket. If my memory serves me right the chinese or HOS model is BAL-A00

Changing from chinese to european ROM

Hi, everyone,
i bought the Huawei Honor 9 chinese version (STF-AL00), is it possible to change the chinese version by the european version (STF-L09) through only FirmwareFinder (FF) Software ?
I'm asking that, because i saw a tutorial from someone, where he changed the chinese to european ROM just using the FF software. Basically, in FF, after the proxy configurations, when you search for a model to update, you change the model name for an european model (STF-L09...) and, after that, when you go to update option from device and ask for updates, the newest ROM (STF-L09...) will be available, so just confirm to install and reboot.
The procedure above really works ? I'm asking that because this procedure was done in other Huawei device, and not Honor 9.
I'm not with the device yet, not arrived from China.
I want to do so. Some Phonefixer on Taobao said they can do that but it is a little expensive(for me and other Chinese). It costs 190 yuan to do that.

Just follow the link above and it should work.
Sent from my Honor 8 Pro using XDA Labs
Could that possibly brick your device? Seeing as the Chinese version of the Honor 9 and the EU version use slightly different hardware?

HUawei dumb questions

Hi.
There are so many version available for BLA-L29 (Mate 10 Pro) when I read forum such as C185, C432, C635, C636 and many more.
1. What are their differences?
2. There are many Huawei OTA update available at http://pro-teammt.ru or https://funkyhuawei.club/ , why I still not yet receiving any from Huawei? **Still stuck on 119**
I am totally new to Huawei, coming from iPhone > Oneplus

Those numbers are use tu identify devices from different regions (Europe, Asia, etc) and different brands (Vodafone, Tim, Orange, etc).
These brand could received OTA updates at different times and with different build numbers.

[GUIDE] Mate 10 Pro country change

Just new to all these tech things. Please bear with me for my basic and maybe silly question.
Got a Huawei Mate 10 Pro model BLA-AL00 dual SIM (China ),
Build number 9.0.0.184 (C00E88R1P15) GPU Turbo ,
EMUI version 9.0.0 with Android version 9 .
Would like to know if it is possible to change the software to an international or at least an HongKong English version.
Thank You

Help Please - "International" Firmware for China Mobile N3 m850a Smart Phone...(?)

Help Please - "International" Firmware for China Mobile N3 m850a Smart Phone...(?)
The N3 m850a is a China Mobile produced smartphone.
It incorporates a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 chip.
The phone is installed with a Chinese version of Android 7, which means no Google apps and basically somewhat different menu setup.
I was hoping that, maybe, there is a firmware that could be compatible with this phone...preferably with some of the latest Androind platforms.
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance with locating a possible firmware.
Thank you so much, all the best and stay safe in these turbulent times.

Media Pad M5 Pro (C431) HOW TO CHANGE CUST?

Hi,
I bought 1 year ago the Media Pad M5 Pro unbranded from eBay.
I never received any update till now Still on Android 8.0.0 ( Build Nr CMR-AL19 8.0.0.199 (C431)
Huawei Support told me multiple times there is no update available for my device.
But I think they are wrong.
I think it just got the wrong Cust (C431 is made for "providers" but mine has no brand but this firmware)
C432 receives all the updates from Huawei.
So my question is how I can change my Cust from C431 to C432 or directly flash a C432 firmware?
I hope someone can help me in easy steps I think I am not the only one on the whole internet with this problem but in non-forum a solution.
Thanks

changing to c432 (which is the m5 wifi version, with Kirin 960s not Kirin 960) is quit risky - bootloop
but u could go for the testpoint method and flash treble gsi android 10, need to open bootloader
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/how-to/downgrade-unbrick-huawei-device-methods-t3915693
its a bit easier with HCU client and dc phoenix( u need the dc unlocker anyway -to unlock bootloader - unfortunatly no other way) but HCU is 20 bucks time license for 3 days
if you really want the the super easy way there is a guy doing it for 30 bucks but u need to give him access to your windows pc(i wouldnt do that) https://ministryofsolutions.com/paid-services
if u find an easier way pls tell me, i gave an cmr-w09 (m5 wifi) and its running super smooth on havoc os(custom android 10)
