How to use it
Enable Developer Options on your smartphone.
On Developer Options menu turn on USB Debugging, install via USB & USB debugging (security setting) from the developer panel.
Download android platform tools and Install USB drivers for your device
Download the latest release of UAD GUI for your Operating System here. Take the opengl version only if the default version (with a Vulkan backend) doesn't launch.
unzip android platform tools and UAD GUI to same folder
Open UAD GUI and choose recomended

About this guide
This is a quick and easy guide to get rid of the ROOTED status in download mode on G2 devices.
By doing this, you will return to the factory look of download mode with it showing UNROOTED.
Special Note
I have only tested this on my LG-D802. I do NOT know if this works on other G2 devices.
Therefore, please report back whether it works for you so I can add your device to the OP.
Requirements
LG USB Drivers (Easy to find & install - Google is your friend)
Your G2 must be rooted to use this.
USB Debugging must be enabled in Developers Options.
A software to extract the attached .zip file.
Notepad++
Instructions
Connect your G2 to your PC using MTP. At this point, USB debugging is not necessary. If phone is not recognized, then install/reinstall USB drivers.
Now head into PC - right click on your phone and hit properties. Copy this line as shown in this screenshot:

Download the attached .zip and extract the content to anywhere you like.
Open rct.cfg using Notepad++. Now delete SERIAL because here you shall paste the serial number of your phone which you copied earlier.
You must now enable USB Debugging in Developers Options. It does not matter if you had it enabled earlier or not.
Cant find Developers Options? Enter Settings - General - About Phone - Software Information - hit buildnumber 7 times and go back to Settings menu.
Open the file named install from the extracted .zip and give it root access on your phone.
Done. Download mode will now show UNROOTED.
OPTIONAL: You can now flash KDZ/TOT file if you want to fully return to stock. The status in download mode will remain unrooted after flashing a stock firmware.

LOL this was very easy and it works like a charm. I am on CloudyG3 and download mode shows unrooted

Please list packages in the comments section that you know is a bloatware and I didn't include in the spreadsheet.
This guide assumes that you're using Windows 10 as your PC OS.

WARNING! Before following, make sure you have enabled the developer mode in your phone and enabled USB debugging.
(Go to Settings>About phone> click on Build number 7 times > go back > go to System & updates > Developer options > enable USB debugging)
1) Download Android SDK Platform tools. LINK
2) Create a new folder directly in C:\ drive and name it adb
3) Copy everything inside SDK Platform tools zip into C:\adb

4) Press WindowsKey+R, type cmd and press enter.
5) In cmd, type cd C:\adb and press enter.
Now you can copy and paste commands from the spreadsheet!

disabling the com.huawei.android.hwaps makes the switching between 90Hz and 60Hz not working. The switch is still under screen settings, but it does not make anything. If you have been on 90Hz mode before disabling it, you will stay on 90Hz. Same in the other way - you will stick on 60Hz mode if you was on 60Hz mode.

@Cyber.Cat was so kind and built an easy tool for debloating your Huawei over a year ago. He even made a post about it right in this forum:
You can find it here.
And he made some nice updates since then, here's the thread about his program.
No root needed, no annoying package name searching or anything else.
Just mark and delete or only deactivate.

A good tool based on Windows batch commands. It has a few commands for now, (already 200 lines, but alright ...) but I will keep updating it and make a good release. It works for now, but not everything is correctly yet.

How to useOpening programAll tools/options1. DISM and SFC Repair - Use this option if you want to check your computer of corrupted Windows files, and recover them if needed.
2. Create Restore Point - Creates a restore point with the name 'Restore Point'. (I might update the name in the future to use something like the date, need to look into that...)
3. Windows IP Configuration - Checks the network settings and show information about the network adapters using the IPCONFIG command.
4. User List - Shows a list of all users that exist on the PC.
5. Check Windows Version - Opens WINVER.exe, from where you can check information about the version of Windows.
6. Ping Tool - Allows you to ping a website.
NOTE: don't add ping before the command! So 'ping -t google.com' becomes '-t google.com' here.
7. N/A yet.
8. Open Terminal - Allows you to open a Windows Command Prompt. (Still need to fix something there).
9. Credits - Shows all the credits for the program (Currently me and Microsoft. Microsoft for developing the possibility to make those easily-to-develop programs)
10. Tool Information - Shows information about the batch file/tool.
11. Exit - Closes the tool.
This will not give you the opportunity to make a full backup, but it will partially allow you to get into the cloud and save your data. I was able to create a backup on the Honor 50 and after that I restored it on the Huawei tablet.
