Question How to have same notifications behavior of Android 12 in Android 13? - Realme GT 2 Pro

I just updated my GT 2 Pro to Android 13, it looks great and battery feels better. I like it, but the notification is bugging me.
The lockscreen notification in Android 12 would only have the edge light up, then I can wake the screen to see the notification it's showing me. Now in Android 13, it still also lights up the edge but it shows the entire message or data of the notifiaction in the screen then it goes away after a few seconds.
I do not like this, it's a privacy risk. How do I get it to have the same Android 12 behavior? I have tried to only show the app icon, but it still lights up the screen and shows the icon. I only want to see the edge light up when I have a notification.

Disable it in aod setting.

[Q] [ROM] [4.2.2] [1/7/13]Notifications light semi lock tablet

I have an 80 G9 non turbo,
I "successfully" installed this rom,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104491
Everything works fine except notifications, when an app that uses the notification light pushes a notification, the power light starts flashing the notification plays its sound and displays on screen.
However i cannot dismiss the notifications,i cannot pull down on either side of the screen, the notifications bar basically stops working and after a few seconds the notifications bar,the app drawer, everything except the icons/folders i had on screen disappear.
If i press the power/standby button, the screen shuts off like normal, the notifications keep going off,but i cant turn the screen back on,eventually the tablet powers itself off, when it turns back on it boots to twrp,If the notification gos off while in standby, the sound gos off the light flashes, but i cant turn the screen on.
I have tried different apps, and apps that dont use the notification light dont do this to the tablet, its only the apps that use the light, gmail, alarm clock extreme,so on and so forth.
This has rendered my tablet pretty much useless,so any advice would be much appreciated,or more stable rom recommendations,id prefer to stay on the 4.2 roms, but id rather have everything working.

[Q] Auto turn on display if message arrives

The new notifications on Android Lollipop on the Z2 are quite nice.
What I like to have is that the display automatically turns on for some seconds when a notifications arrives.
I did not find an option in the settings. Is this possible without rooting?
OK, I solved it myself with the app Screen Notifications ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lukekorth.screennotifications ). Quite good although I still prefer the iOS way of notification popups.

'Curved Panoramic Light' doesn't work properly

Hi everyone ,
I've got the chinese Find X 256Gb (PAHM00) and there are issues with the 'curved panoramic light'.
If somebody is calling me, the screen lights up, showing the number and the 'curved panoramic light' lights up too.
But the main problems are the messages and notifications. If my phone lays down for a while (standby) and i recieve a message, the screen lights up showing the message on a banner and turns off after a few seconds, no 'curved panoramic light'. I tried several different settings/options, but there are always only two results: 1. as mentioned above, 2. the screen stays black and the phone just rings, no 'curved panoramic light'.
One time, the phone was in my pocket and i recieved a message, I immediately pulled it out, the screen was black and the 'curved panoramic light' lit up, but only two times. I can't reproduce this.
What's wrong with my phone? I even did a factory-reset, but without positive results.
Does anybody have the same problems or a solution?
Thanks.
@Oppo-newbie
Settings --> Smart & Convenient --> Gesture & Motion --> Turn off "Screen-off Gestures"
This option is already turned off. The 'Raise to Turn On Screen' is off too.

Panoramic ligth does work here, but only 2 times. I believe that's normal. So don't expect it to keep flashing, it's just 2 times and that's it.. (Probably would kill the battery if it kept flashing.
No, Oppo says: 'When someone is calling or there are new notifications that just came in, the curved edges will light up, continuously.' ( I can't put in the Oppo link ) . On the website, they also say, that the curved light doesn't work if 'Turn On Screen Notifications' is enabled and I think that this is my problem, but I don't have this setting in my menu.
Same question i want to ask.
Any idea how to keep the light flashing until i read the message?
hope they fix Light Options...
I’ve only ever seen 2x for notifications and infinite for calls. I think you’re experiencing the feature exactly as designed
Same here. Could you fix it? I mean, if this is how it's supposed to work , it's pointless.

As for now, this feature is ridiculous. I couldn't find a solution. Hopping Oppo will fix it with an update.
By the way: can anyone tell, if it is the same for the 'global' version?
The Edge panoramic light is working like i had hoped it would. I receive the same problem as well. If anyone know which exact method to have the settings too, that would help greatly as I'm about to loose my mind with this phone and its mysterious operational system.

are you saying if you have lock screen magazine on it will work more effectively, please clarify thanks .
Mine works completely fine. Have global version CPH1871EX.
I have the screen clock on standby active and also the lockscreen magazine.
Also please check if the Turn on Screen for Notifications in set to OFF in the Notifications & Status Bar settings. Might be the reason why your display switches on instead of showcasing the panaromic notification light. BTW the notification light comes only twice over the edges and not more.
Here, I got it working after hours of try and error. Actually, it was a theme issue for me. First of all I turned off "Turn on screen for notifications" option in "Notification and statusbar" menu. This is what I did next:
0. Set lockscreen from the default theme
1. Turn on Lockscreen Magazine
2. Click on a like button, read a story
3. Turn off Lockscreen Magazine
4. Open Themes -> me -> my wallpapers
5. Set any wallpaper as lockscreen one

Random notification sounds when screen on

Hi everyone!
Samsung Galaxy S9 SM-G960U1.
Stock, non-root.
Android 10, One UI 2.5
Since this morning I'm getting random notification sounds (SMS sound) every 5 - 10 seconds. There is nothing in notifications, no new message, nothing.
The weird thing is that this only happens when the screen is on. When the screen is off, the device functions normally.
NFC and Bluetooth are off.
I'm looking for a way to maybe access the logs and see what's triggering the notification sound?
Thanks!
<CORRECTION>
I'm getting notification sounds when the screen is off too, but not just as often. Maybe once in 5 - 7 minutes.

Question Always on display does not wake up and show notification texts

I switched from a Pixel 4 to a Sony 1-IV but the always on display is seriously a joke. On Pixel and other devices getting a notification will wake up the screen to show the notification text for a few seconds before turning back to the normal AOD again. Sony is lacking that. Is there a way to get Pixels AOD on the Sony via Magisk or something or a different solution to get that functionality back?
Samsung and Sony phones have a similar AOD manner where they do not show previews of the notification.
Have you tried the cometin app?

that is no true lock screen. A normal app can't fulfill that role.
