Reserved 2 just in case

Dual sim version. Clean installed but there are some serious problems with network. Celuar keeps telling there is no service and wi-fi is like keep reconnecting all the time. It started during initial setup when I connected to wi-fi and it wouldn't proceed further because it probably kept losing connection. Then - entered email - error. Then proceeded to password - error, than on second try it proceeded further. If I open network setting it keeps reconnecting from celluar to wi-fi and again to celluar.
Wiped everything again and started all over again. On first try it wouldn't even see my sim even when I repluged it again. Then somehow I finished instalation and even celluar would work at some point. But then I rebooted and got same deal again with not working sim card. Had none of these problems on A13 PE (installing it back now and celluar just get working instantly during instalation).
You can see on screenshots that smth is definetly not right.

Rom is great works super.
Two issues though. Only with camera. Scan doesn't work it has no option to capture anything. There other one is, resolution is only 8mp back camera instead of 19mp. It's even lesser than front camera has 13mp ready. Thanks!

I had the same issue. Now she's gone.
Flashed over the latest official firmware, using twrp 3.6.2 and wipe everything except internal storage, micro sd, otg. Wi-fi and sim cards work as they should.

Clearly not a rom problem, more like a problem related to some stock files missing during flashing/switching roms.
Do as Victor suggested, reflash latest official firmware and retry. ROM working great.

Did as suggested and yup, now it works. I think my mistake was that I wiped internal storage (it does store some needed modem files I guess).
One weird thing though. On stock ROM latest TWRP actualy could decrypt internal storage, but after flashing it looks like it's not just unable to ask a password to decrypt, but it also doesn't see any encrypted files on internal storage, like there are no files at all. Before this flashin, it did see encrypted files. It's not really a problem, just my observation.
UPD: Turned out this installation broke Internal storage partition for TWRP and when I tried to wipe the system to get back to A12 (because for instance there in no Night Light option now, and no option to add buttons to quick settings, broken player notification behaviour. These options were in A12 EvoX. So, turns out even EvoX unable to make A13 any better) - I couldn't. So I had to Repair File System first (format Data to EXT2 first, and then format back to EXT4). Tho when booted in System there were no problems at all. That's why I didn't see any encrypted files in Internal storage.

What a nice Christmas thank you!!
After a clean flash from the SD card with latest TWRP and 24 hrs of running, I can confirm that this is another great ROM!
The battery doesn't fast charge and there is still ~10% difference between offline and online charge. But it last enough while in standby or for videocalls. Which is great for a daily use 4 yrs old phone.
Basic Lineage camera is okay for apps looking for default camera but Open Camera or other camera apps can also be used for better results.
WiFi and cellular signals are ok. Voice calls (only VoIP, as I'm not a phone service subscriber) ok both directions.
The Google's account backup emails saw
when enrolled. Don't kinda like it but don't really care
Happy holidays and a new year full of joy and fullfilments for all of you involved!! and updates for ours XZ1

Actually it's smart charge: will rapidly charge when the battery level is low
After authenticate in Samsung SmartThings app, received a confirmation email about my new Google Pixel 7 Pro
Sometimes I have the impression the user interface lags, does not responding promptly. Anyone else observed this too?

I have that lag too. That's why i return to pixel experience android 13.

Cannot rely on Google Wallet: no successful NFC payment to date, all tries failed due to a "fast movement" error. I had this problem on EvoX A12 too but was random, now at every attempt. By the contrary, on A11's PixelExperience the payments completed successfully from ~ 5cm of the reader so I don't think is a device issue.

I use to keep NFC off and turning on right before paying... Yesterday I've turned on when entering stores and 3 successful payments from 3 attempts with 3 different cards

Oh nice.
Btw guys, right now evox team has some weird issues on some devices with pixel launcher, theyre infact temporarily switching to launcher3 (for freezing, touch issues etc). So, if youre experiencing problems, switch launcher or wait next release.

No, charging is normal for me. The overall UI is laggy. Just read your reply above, the cause of the lag is the home screen.

[ROM][LINEAGEOS][7.1.2][OMS][microG][UNOFFICIAL] Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 LTE SM-T285

This is a port of LineageOS 14.1 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2016) LTE SM-T285. LineageOS needs no introduction, it essentially a rename from CyanogenMod due to naming issues.
5.1.1 is the best that you can get from samsung right now and it is not known if they plan to do any upgrades. I have absolutely no idea why samsung chose to stay with the outdated 5.1.1 mid 2016 when we already got 7.1 coming out. This custom rom is probably the best you can get if you want an upgrade from Lollipop. Performance on the latest build is also better, you be the judge.
I don't recommend you use this as a daily driver, but it should be good enough for some. Make sure you read the pending issues below and decide if this is acceptable to you before you flash this rom.
Based off on LineageOS 14.1 sources which is based on Nougat 7.1.2

Update October 17, 2018
====================
Released maintenance patch - Latest security patches + latest lineageos 14.1 patches
Update December 9, 2017
====================
- November Security Patches
- Latest changes from upstream Lineageos
Update October 5, 2017
==================
- Security updates (October 5 patches, blueborne fix)
- updated kernel to 3.10.107
Update September 27, 2017
======================
This is more of an upstream refresh release and some updates to graphics
- Latest upstream changes from Lineageos
- Using source compiled gralloc build. Seems to speed things up
- now using Android N audio policy config xml files. This should allow for a bit more options for tweakers
- Linux kernel now updated to 3.10.106
Update August 21, 2017
=================
hotfix release: fixed audio_policy.conf file which causes earphones not to register.
Update August 20, 2017
=================
Minor updates:
- alarm clock bug seems to have been fixed
- Update android build to NJH47F
- Added microG patches (https://github.com/microg/android_packages_apps_GmsCore/blob/master/patches/android_frameworks_base-N.patch)
Update June 27, 2017
================
Added a build with Substratum OMS support. Please visit the download section, OMS builds should have a -OMS in its archive name. Use this build if you are into themes and want to use Substratum. For details on substratum please visit the relevant forums.
Update June 26, 2017
================
- Enabled hw decoders (should speed up videos and reduce cpu usage), some glitches can still occur though
- Updated Mali userspace and kernel drivers, use updated gralloc and hwcomposer (Should speed up UX)
- Added NTP settings for GPS
- Updated to LineageOS build NJH47B with June 5 security patches
- Fixed KSM causing a battery drain
- A number of tweaks that I can't remember
- issues: Camera won't work with the stock camera app. Seems to work under third party apps. Video is still broken though.
As usual hit the download section for both the newest and oldest builds. This build also uses an experimental kernel under the performance_2 branch:
https://github.com/jedld/kernel_samsung_gtexslte/tree/performance_2
This build is still alpha so there might still be issues.
Update June 5, 2017
================
minor fixes
- Fix wifi hotspot
- Added GPS patches by @Vagr9K (gps should at least load in apps)
Update May 28, 2017
================
- Fix lock screen
- Incorporate kernel fixes c/o @Vagr9K
- Fix bluetooth
- Update to 7.1.2 Nougat N2G470
Update Feb 12, 2017
===============
- really fix mtp and usb connectivity
- There is a bug where pattern unlock won't show up even when you swipe up in the lockscreen. As a workaround make sure you select "Directly show pattern view" in the "pattern unlock settings" page (Click on the settings knob besides the Screen Lock option). If you somehow forget to do this, you can click on a notification to force pattern unlock to show up, if you don't have notifications, connect your device to USB and the charing notification should show up.
Update Feb 11, 2017
===============
- Improved graphics, HW composer, gralloc built from source and updated Mali drivers
- F2FS support for data partition
Update Jan 31, 2017
===============
Bundled with the new perf+ kernel that I am using for the CM-13 buids
Works:
- Wifi/SMS
- Mobile Data (Need to restart once after first boot)
- Audio
- Graphics
- Incoming/Outgoing Calls
- MTP
- Camera (Stills capture works with 3rd party apps)
- Bluetooth
- Wifi Hotspot
Does not work:
- video recording (sometimes works with 3rd party apps like open camera)
- GPS (no fix)
Issues
* Stability issues and some boot loops (Try to disable hardware GPS, or location services which may solve it)
* Wifi and network performance issues when both bluetooth and wifi is on and vice versa (needs confirmation from testers). I'm not sure if this problem also happens under stock. So if someone can give me feedback that would be appreciated.
* Setting alarms using the stock clock app will crash your tablet, use third party apps instead (this is a bug in upstream LineageOS and not related to this device)
Not essential but still needs to worked on
- HW encoders (06/26/2017 hw decoders now supported)
Other Notes:
- selinux permissive
Most of the issues are fixable, I just need more time and encouragement
SM-T280 Users: Unfortunately this rom would probably not work on it since the SM-T285 and SM-T280 have different kernels and slightly different hardware. I don't have access to this device so it would be hard for me to port it over. However I believe there are a lot of similiarities in the device tree that can be shared. If a dev with the SM-T280 is interested I can probably help.
Download
========
Remember flashing an unofficial ROM on your samsung device will probably void your warranty, Samsung representatives will probably not be able to help you as they are still stuck at 5.1.1 land as of now and have no idea how to handle a SM-T285 that is running 7.1.
As always flash this at your own risk. Make sure you have a copy of the stock ROM so that you have something to fall back to, which is highly the case when using an experimental rom.
See DevDB download section. Or get the latest version LINEAGE-OMS-14.1-20181117-UNOFFICIAL-SMT285-ALPHA.zip
For Older Versions/OMS builds see downloads sections:
All Downloads
Note that this rom is pure stock and does not come with the Play Store or any Gapps, I suggest you download a micro gapps package separately and install it via recovery.
There have been reports that recent versions of open gapps don't work properly, it is advised to use older versions instead (e.g. open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20161109.zip)
Installation Instructions
==================
Perform a backup of all of your important files. This ROM is experimental and I will not be responsible for your loss of data.
Download the zip file and extract the tar.
Use Odin/Heimdall to flash the tar file to your device. If you are coming from stock or another rom make sure you wipe first using TWRP. DO NOT USE twrp to flash these zip files, they are not configured for that.
Root and customization/ Build Guide
===================
LineageOS unlike Cyanogenmod does not come with root. However you can easily root it by using TWRP to install the latest version of SuperSU.
If you want to customize this ROM and/or repackage it you may use this guide as a reference.

Awesome work!
wow! Thanks jedid!
EDIT 2 amazing...wifi, cellular data for internet, sms, mms, calls all work (and no echo!)
as you wrote...mms (data) and internet (data) work after the 1st reboot
not yet installed gapps
slower than cm13 but an incredible start! (compare with tab s, s2 that even have official marshmallow and even nougat coming or already there for the tab s2 that have all call and data issues...this one is simply a great feat!)
only thing for some reason it will not automatically get the time and day from the cellular network
EDIT 3
a TWRP backup would not restore properly-android.phone.com errors (no root no gapps just basic setup)
strange thing when I flashed gapps (full not pico from Oct for 7.1) had all kinds of google apps force-closes and the network would not connect easily-it did but the errors never ended so I ended up trying to go back to the twrp backup which is when I got the android. phone.com stopped error (repeatedly coming)
am redoing the installation now (maybe was a bad twrp backup cannot know for sure)

Also happened to me. What I did was to rewipe after Gapps and it worked OK after that. Also set GPS to power saving
issues just reporting...updates
by rewipe do you mean wipe dalvik and cache? thx
edit
for time i just unchecked the auto time zone and manually selected my time zone...the time and day are now correct (but it is an issue..understand way early)
few things
the file manager seems to be missing the root option in general settings and prompts to add root permissions when the option does not show up (maybe because it has no CM root? and that an SU root is secondary? even if cm root is not set?)
the clock has the similar type of error as in cm13 (extreme only?)..try setting up alarm and it freezes when tapping OK to set alarm and then reboots (bootloops just as getting to android is starting message) (need to delete clock data in twrp)
no speakerphone but that has been absent anyway in cm13 and omni as well and the previous cm14
also problem connecting to the computer choosing mtp protocol the usb debugging and the connection option notifications vanish (even if set to always show) (think it does not do anything and remains in charge mode) through dev menu in settings it appears picture transfer may be set
the above are minor irritants given all the other things that are working! thanks
EDIT3
gapps 7.1 pico 20161024 worked no need for dalvik and cache wipe
Hello
Can you fix GPS? The Rom is nice but i really Hard ned GPS. Or give IT nö Chance to fix GPS?

I did a full data wipe after gapps, then it worked. Flashing gapps after going through a first boot seems to cause problems.

the gapps 7.1 pico 20161024 worked without any dalvik wipe (not sure what happened earlier but suspect it was because i used a full stock although of the recommended timeframe of oct 2016 (7.1 only goes back to that month anyway)
Used it the whole day..calls text mms browsing
root explorer would not work (blank screen upon opening)-am using Fx explorer (root which does a great job anyway especially if pasting entire folders into system app/priv-app folders-sets the permissions automatically and correctly)
camera does not work known anyway (was not coming up on 2nd/3rd try)
lte signal similar to cm13 (omni is still fastest to get on and stick)
but at times happened at least 5 times and in static position that the internet signal would drop and then come back (so somewhat finicky there)
lag is there when opening certain apps-just sits there
happens at times when pressing ok button in say some app where you have to accept or reject
but alpha...known and/or expected
don't about bluetooth headset, netflix, audio sophisticated stuff..not into these/kept up with the times
youtube works no issues
odd thing if some app or function fails for some reason it says browser stopped...will have to note down which ones gave that error that had nothing to do with the internet browser (opera beta that I use works no issues as does the built-in browser...unless the data signal drops for some reason-then have to turn off and on the data/or even toggle airplane mode to restart the radio)
Just like your other alpha builds, this is really good; great work! Subjectively, the ROM feels quite fast.
The bugs I noticed were:
1. MTP is not working for me
2. Scrolling was smooth, but slow, and eventually got jerky over time
3. The tablet can be detected by other devices when Bluetooth is on, but it cannot receive any files
4. For some reason, CM Transfer - I did not test other apps that use the same approach to transfer files - is not working

Was this device made with Android 7.1 in mind? Some time last year, when I was trying to install a ROM using Flashfire, I noticed that this device seems to have two data partitions. After installing this ROM, the tablet reported that the total 'shared' internal memory was around 8GB, rather than the usual five-or-so gigabytes. I was very surprised

Didn't notice MTP wasn't working will take a look at it.
As for bluetooth it is still essentially broken in this build.

There are changes to how /data is structured but it is still one partition from what I know. It is still a mystery to me how it computes storage especially if you set your external sd card as adoptable, it could probably combine the size of both system and data in that report.

.now on a 2nd installation..TWRP backup restore runs into issues (twice now) (only on lineage not cm14.1/13.1/omni) get android.phone stopped issue.
mtp issues..yes in #4 "also problem connecting to the computer choosing mtp protocol the usb debugging and the connection option notifications vanish (even if set to always show) (think it does not do anything and remains in charge mode) through dev menu in settings it appears picture transfer may be set"
it shows up for selection but does not work (sits in charge mode)...I think the picture transfer appears to get set...will check again and try to restore the backup without data

anyone here having issues restoring from twrp backup (tried 3 times now each time it fails with looping android.phone crashes-muting the app then toggling airplane mode to restart the radio does not work) basically have to set it up and use it (the rom) but cannot try anything else (or have a backup that can be used in case things go wrong)...ran into the same clock issue as on cm13 (extreme only?) ...could not get out of the rebooting loop (tried deleting data for the desk clock) and then twrp backup would not work either
thanks
edit
I am able to restore without data (so have to set up again including supersu but at least it avoids the odin flashing part)
Seems the alarm clock issue happens on all LineageOS roms and not just mine. Their advice is to just get another app from the app store while they are fixing it.
Hi, thanks for continuing to work on this device.
Sadly, I have (or rather my granny does) a SM-T280... In the last thread there was someone who wanted to try to port to the T280, is there still work going on?
Also can I help? I am not really a developer, but a tinkerer; and I am fed up enough by the Samsung nonsense to try and help (as long as I can be reasonably certain to be able to restore the tablet to a working state even if I mess up, it's not mine after all^^)

Just bought SM-T285 yesterday.
Last night I look in youtube on how to root my Samsung Tab A 7.0.
Me, as the stupid human followed the tutorial installing the img then poof! BOOTLOOP.

Newbie here guys!
I know you can find ways to fix it.
We can wait..
Hello, can you port this for the T580? I kinda really hate CrapWiz

sorry if not valid here..
jedid, it seems the ftp issue is still there? as before checking or selecting the ftp option simply removes the toggle from the notification (does not show up until next reboot) and does not connect the drives to the computer
also not sure if you were looking at this issue but need to manually select the network time zone (does not automatically detect)
automatic takes it to GMT

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1.2 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
NOTE: LineageOS 14.1 is no longer updated. Consider using LineageOS 16.0 instead.
About this project
This is not a regular ROM. Usually, ROMs are based on certain components of the stock system (e.g. the kernel and certain proprietary components). This is a completely new ROM with a new Linux kernel and new implementations for all system components. It is not goal of this project to reach full hardware support or to make it perfectly stable. I will try my best, of course, but I mostly see this as a research project for myself to see how much you can implement with open-source components.
New features
Android 7.1.2 (LineageOS 14.1) with latest security patches
Linux 4.14 kernel
Vulkan graphics (experimental)
Less/no bloatware
Full backlight control (allows much lower brightness)
F2FS (with a compatible recovery)
USB OTG
Rootless Substratum theme engine
Signature spoofing (allows using MicroG instead of proprietary Google Play Services)
WireGuard
Tested features
Everything not mentioned here is likely not working.
Device boots
Graphics (OpenGL etc)
Charging
WiFi
Sound (Speaker + Headphones), Microphone (quality is pretty bad though...)
Bluetooth (incl. Bluetooth Audio (A2DP))
Accelerometer (used for device rotation), magnetometer (needs verification that it is reporting values correctly)
Backlight control
SD Card
Hardware video acceleration (experimental)
DRM (e.g. for Netflix and other streaming apps, experimental)
Full disk encryption
Planned features (not working yet)
Suspend/Deep sleep states
Not planned
Camera: See issue #47 on GitHub
GPS: See issue #48 on GitHub
FAQ
How is the battery live? Screen-on time is probably similar if not longer, but there is a lot of battery drain in standby mode (even worse than on the ASUS system). I recommend that you turn off the tablet when you're not using it.
How do I obtain root access? There are various ways, but the recommended way for LineageOS is to flash addonsu. For some reason Lineage's x86 addonsu isn't working correctly. Download and flash addonsu-14.1-me176c-signed.zip instead. However, note that this will break SafetyNet. Use Magisk alternatively.
Can I use Netflix with this ROM? Yes.
Installation
Preparation
Make sure you are running Android Lollipop (5.0).
You need an unlocked bootloader. The recommended bootloader is me176c-boot, but in case of problems you can also use the older bootloader.
Install TWRP. I recommend downloading the latest version of TWRP from the separate thread.
Make a full backup of the ASUS system. You may want to go back to it.
Do a full factory reset. Wipe data and cache partitions.
Install the ZIP provided below.
Download
System image (install as ZIP in recovery): lineage-14.1-20180926-UNOFFICIAL-me176c-signed.zip
TWRP recovery image: Available in a separate thread.
Optional: Download Google apps (x86 for Android 7.1): Open GApps
Optional: Root access: addonsu-14.1-me176c-signed.zip (Magisk is also working if you prefer that)
Optional: Custom build of Xposed that doesn't cause boot loops: xposed-v89-sdk25-x86-me176c-signed.zip (flash it in recovery)

Omg, just wow, finally a custom rom, ill flash it asap
Just flashed the rom an hour ago, had some issues with rotating screen which i fixed by installing an app that manually changes screen rotation.
I also enabled a toggle from notifications that allowed me to set either the heaphone or the speakers.
The rom feels a lot smoother than ZenUI and I was able to install substratum and put a theme, worked just fine, I also installed magisk but unfortunately certification doesnt work.
Also Netflix says its not compatible on the playstore, and when trying to install the apk, it allways says its incompatible with the tablet. Another issue i found was that the sound sometimes makes a weird sound (more noticeable when using headphones).
The wifi seems to turn off while suspended, even if its set to not turn off while suspended.
Other than that, rom seems pretty good. Keep up the good work

As mentioned in https://github.com/me176c-dev/device_asus_me176c/issues/7, I had the issue that the accelerometer (which is used for device rotation) doesn't report any data after a restart. However, when I turned off the tablet, waited a few seconds and then turned it back on it worked fine. Can you try that?

I have added a custom quick settings tile as part of the ROM that can be used to toggle speaker and headphones. That's the recommended way to switch between them (or is that what you mean with "toggle from notifications")?

Netflix is blocked for rooted devices using SafetyNet so it's correct that it's not displayed in the Play Store. However, even if you'd manage to install it on the tablet it wouldn't work because the required DRM libs aren't included currently. That's another proprietary mess I need to add (but it's a bit complicated because the original libs are not always perfectly compatible with the new kernel version etc.)
Additionally, if a APK is reported to be incompatible it's possible that it includes native libraries only compiled for ARM. That's mostly because some developers ignore (or used to ignore, it's less frequently now) the x86 architecture because there are not too many devices using it. Intel's solution for that is a proprietary translation layer called Houdini, which is not yet included in the ROM.

That's weird because there is no suspend at all currently (the tablet will stay on the whole time). It might be some kind of power saving feature. I will try to reproduce that.

Sure. I will put it on my list, but it requires a substantial amount of work due to the amount of proprietary libraries required to make it working. Could you clarify what issues with sound you have? I know that the touch sounds cause weird beep sounds and I know that there is some noise when switching from headphones back to the speaker. It works fine for me otherwise.

On youtube app, when in headphone mode sometimes theres static sound but no actual sound, the app needs to be reopen multiple times for it to actually start playing, and the beep sound doesnt just happend to the "touch sounds", it seems to happend when the device gets hot/starts to trottle(i might be wrong but its what it seemed that was happening).
Edit: Any other issues i find, ill just post on your github
I'll be flashing this when I get home. This will definitely be my daily driver once charging is tested a bit more and the battery drain is resolved.
Thank you so much for a custom rom for this device!
I also formatted data and cache partition to f2fs with your twrp build.
It's incredible fast and stable enough for my use (internet, xda'ing, facebook and youtube)
It's my daily driver for now on even with these little bugs. But I don't care if these bugs still appears, the most important things works and I'm very happy.
And in my opinion, the battery life is better and the device gets less hot then the asus rom
Thank you so much!!
ROM passes safetynet with magisk v13.1, magisk hide enabled and the universal safetynet fix v2 beta 4 from Deiki installed.
Little (cosmetic)"bugs that aren't reported yet:
- Used storage capacity is negative and comes closer to zero when you fill up the space.
- It also shows 7,43 GB of total space on a 16 GB variant.
- My external sd card gets a strange name in settings and on the system file manager.

As far as I can tell, charging is working fine. I've tried it again in the last days and it charged correctly, even quite quickly. I should note that I've only tested using the original ASUS AC adapter, though. Normally, charging should behave exactly the same as on the original ASUS system. (It's the same driver, just with a lot of cleanup) Unless someone else finds a problem I'll probably leave it as-is.
(At this point I should mention that ASUS charging driver is horrible, it's extremely messy and looks like it was stuffed together and never finished. There were over 2k lines of code which weren't doing anything (because they are never reached) and a lot of spammy debugging output that wasn't removed. I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks in some cases, but that is likely not my fault...)
I definitely need to work on the battery drain but the suspend procedure is quite complex on this tablet: Normal PCs usually save power by powering off all components, and only keeping the RAM alive in a low power states (suspend to RAM). That doesn't exist on Bay Trail tablets, instead there are so-called S0ix power states in which the CPU and other components enter a low-power state (but the network connection is kept alive for example). I have not been able to figure out how to make the tablet enter one of the S0ix power states. It seems like certain preconditions are required (e.g. display is powered off) but there is no clear documentation on this.... I will need to take a closer look when I'm back from vacation.

That's quite funny. It doesn't happen for me, but on the other hand it somehow shows a total storage of 29 GB for me... (It has only 16 GB) I'll look into this soon.
Edit: It seems like it is influenced by the external SD card. Does your external SD card have a size of 8 GB? When I removed it and rebooted it showed the correct internal storage. (My SD card is 32 GB so it previously showed something close to the size of my external SD card)

That's weird! It works for me. Is your external SD card formatted using FAT32? You may want to try to format the SD card directly on the tablet (make sure to backup the files first), looks a bit like some kind of encoding problem.

3D stuff should work (even with more OpenGL/Vulkan features supported) but my tests have shown slightly lower performance than on the original ASUS system.

Yes it was formatted as FAT32 and my external SD card is indeed 8GB. And like you said, I removed the card, rebooted my device and it shows the correct storage as long there is no SD card in the tablet.
This little bug is just ''cosmetic'' and is not that important so I don't care if it excist or not. This rom is already so much better for me than the asus rom so thanks again for this wonderful rom. :victory:
I also formatted my external SD card (on an other device because I got a timeout when I tried to format it on the me176cx) and got a normal name now for my external SD card.

This twrp - this is official 3.1.1.0 for wifi version, I had repacked it with T585 info.
A first line in any lineage firmware - version check, in T585 it's should be gtaxllte. With this twrp it's correct.

Congrats Brother ????
Good work.
This T585 build also booted on T580. Works fine, only RIL staff is annoying (T580 do not have SIM)
I built my own T580 LOS 14.1 build. It booted but media and audio are dead.

Nice to see you cover this development as well. Maybe it is possible to join forces with Valera1978 ? I will try this build as well of course and report on issues. Hopefully it is not too much of a problem to run it on a T580 (without SIM).
@Valera1978. Your ROM performs very well (it is fast too !).
As expected, it runs well on a SM-T580 as well, you can just skip the SIM part in set-up with no problem at all.
Of course it is still work in progress, so bugs to be expected. However I concluded that sound is working properly ,which is fantastic.
In your opening post you said GPS is not working, but I think it is working (Navmii and Google maps anyway).
I did not find many problems, but I can report some:
- It is a bit strange that in setup you are being asked to put back a backup from the cloud while you have not been able (yet) to set up your internet connection). However this provlem can be circumvented easily by just answering that you want to set-up as a new device. In the next screen you set-up your internet connection and then you go can go back and choose to restore from backup (which works flawlessly);
- External SD card cannot be formatted as "internal storage", which is a pity, because I use a brand new 128 Gb SD card (this works in the stock ROM, so I think it is some kind of a bug);
- On an SM-t580 there is of course no SIM. In the lock screen I now see "no service". On a post to Tank0412 Oves786 suggests to remove an APK, but I wouldn't know which one it is (otherwise I would try, although I realize that other things should be removed as well, like the dialer program). The functioning of the tablet is not impaired in any way by this (as far as I can see);
- Gboard (an app from Google) apparently is not functioning properly: swiping does not work at all, although it is supposed to do so. In the standard AOSP keyboard however swiping is no problem.
I'm waiting for the Bluetooth to work in order to flash this Rom!!

I also have the T580. But this is my wife's tablet, and I can not take it up for a week for develop. But as soon as there is a stable version for the T585, I'll take it for a short time (1-2 days) and fix it too.

"In your opening post you said GPS is not working" - on T580 - this is another key in kernel. On T585 - i'm working with it. Yesterday I had find reason - if I'm manually (via adb) running modem - I see baseband, imei, and gps starting work too. At least now I known - problem in ramdisk, vendor and device config is correct for ril.
"back a backup from the cloud" - this is gapps bug, as I remember wizard ask about backup before you enter your google account.
"External SD card" - strange, will check, T580-585 should be same logic.
"On an SM-T580 there is of course no SIM" - not enough remove apps, need build firmware without telephony. Because settings also included changes in framework.
"Gboard (an app from Google) apparently " - will check, but later, primary problems is first.

I'll check after ril, but I'm on 90% sure - it's the same problem.
Thank you for this, for an Alpha its very good. Its installed now on my T580 . The kernel is Permissive and can't be switched to Enforcing, is this something we could have in a future release, a kernel with the ability to change?
Amazing work, congratulations for bringing this to us, its a game changer for the T585/580. When I look at my Ti Back-up for any missing apps and see all that Samsung bloat-ware and Knox related stuff...well how good to see them gone

Format SD card as Internal memory
@Valera1978. Maybe just nonsense what I discovered but maybe it is not, so I think I should share this.
I discovered Samsung S7/S7 edge suffer from the same problem that it is not possible to format their SD card as internal (which however is possible in the original Samsung sofware for the SM-T580/ 585 as I mentioned earlier).
So I thought it would be a nice experiment to try the solution I found in:
http://www.modaco.com/news/android/...e-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/
After having read that, what I did was no more then simply issuing the commands:
adb shell
sm list-disks
This returned:
"CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "app_process": "/sbin/libcutils.so" is 64-bit instead of 32-bit
Aborted"
I now suspect - without really knowing why or how - that maybe a 64 bit module (or maybe the reverse: some 32 bit module) is interfering some way with the formatting of the disk as internal.
This is not the biggest of problems of course, this build already performs really nice and smooth anyway. However of course I do hope it proves to be is a lead to the solution.

HI Crazydrive22,
Just downloaded latest Feb update for MilletWifi.
This build has some major issues, same as original crROM Version.
1. When updating using dirty flash, or clean version. Using TWRP v3.4.0-4 millet version, Nandroid backup does backup, Boot partition that is Rooted with Magisk 20.4. Your Rom overwrites Boot partition. Therefore Magisk Root is removed, therefore needs to restored.
2. After flashing both crROM versions released in Jan and now Feb. Require latest version GAPPS Nano, to be reflashed again, to stop Google Play services, crashing every minute or so. Reflash Gapps fixed that , as well other random Google apps, also crashing continuously.
3. After finally getting things back to normal, on latest crROM Version, needed a couple of restarts, as Tab4 was slow to respond, to some apps to operate at normal speed, compared to Matteo's builds. I have been using for 12 months now.
4. Then found internal memory is running out of space. Had plenty of spare, before using this ROM. Needs more research to find cause. Originally did a Wipe then clean flash and reinstalled all 100 odd apps, via Google Cloud.
5. I restored previous Matteo, Jan 21 build Nandroid backup with same number apps, plenty of internal memory left.
6. Tried to install your LOS16 Dec build, to compare with Matteo version. Downloaded from both sources, listed above in Post 1. Zip file crashes each time.
Found I needed to repair it , to allow me to open it. That is why, TWRP flash failed.
I did MD5 compare, that passes each time. So I suggest you need to upload again, a recompiled LOS16 ROM.
7. I have been working with Matteo, to help solve the Millet version CAMERA issues, over the last few months. But Matteo, has run out of ideas, at the moment.
8. So I decided to try crROM build by you.
But sadly still got issues with saving photos, but video front and rear camera works.
Panorama works saving photos. But photo saving crashes Camera app, with same unknown message, same as Matteo's ROM.
SO I suggest you have a look at the issues mentioned, and keep trying to resolve the camera issues with Matteo.
Great work so far, thanks for your effort to add another ROM for these OLD Devices.
Hope that helps you with some feedback, I have found some minor issues, that I had managed to fix easily.
Cheers

Thanks for your Feedback. Unfortunately I don't own a Millet Device and can't reproduce this errors atm. I'm looking to buy one in the next time.
Could you please dl and test my latest LOS16 Build i uploaded today? This should be exactly the same as Matteos, cause i'm using his Device Tree.

Hi crazydrive22,
I will try LOS16 Build for you.
Another issue with crROM.
Adding extra Icons on Home screen. Work OK. But I save them to lawn chair option on internal memory and extSD card for backup. Backups produced OK on both locations. But Restore only restored original icons on 3 screens, but not newly added icons on any of the 3 screens including Home screen. Tried a few times, created extra backup files on internal and ext SD card. Available in Restore list. Copied files created between both. File size increases as I add more icons to Home or other screens. Just not showing up when I restore any created file.
I want to use this option, by installing the crdroid home 9 app. On Matteo ROMs, so I can Restore icons, on all screens, after a re-flash of any ROM. Would really be useful, save heaps of time, as I have some 100 odd apps.
Any ideas.
Cheers BeeJ1109
Hi Crazydrive22,
Sorry Tried LOS16 Latest version. Boot loops everytime.
Let it go until TWRP reboots as Recovery.
Re flashed a couple times, wiped cache, dalvik , system a few times, no change, still boot looping.

Working perfect! No bugs!
When update to Android 10.0?
My Tablet: SM-T530
Before Andrdoid 5.0.2 and now Android 9.0!
Hi,
Flash does not work with twrp 3.0.0, but this is the latest official twrp.
Can you suggest a TWRP version for this ROM?
Hi All,
TWRP 3.4.0-4 by Matteo works. My device is Milletwifi.
Reflashed again after doing tests on Stock ROM for Matteo, did Wipe Cache, Dalvik & System, then reflashed this latest version.
Booted OK This Time. Instability with Google Play Service, So reflashed Nano Gapps. Fixed instability. But WiFi had issues, would not accept Password on several of my WiFi connections on both 2.4 or 5Ghz channels being Routers, Repeater, or Extenders.
Still using Stock EFS & Modem, same partitions, have not been overwritten. WiFi D.L was > 54Mbps, U.L > 18Mbps. Works great on Stock ROM.
So this ROM LOS16 Feb Build has issues. Camera does not work, same as Matteo's LOS 16. In fact this ROM appears to be identical to Matteo's LOS16. Apart from being compiled, by Crazydrive22. Therefore different title in About. Not sure what Crazydrive22 is trying to achieve here, apart from proving the Compile works, using the same repository sources as Matteo.
So I have restored back to Matteo ROM Feb Build. WiFi is back to same as before.
So I attached files.
Cheers BJ

Sorry Guys, i was very busy the last time.
Matteo decided to go to LOS17 and LOS18, so I will build LOS16 for the future.
That's why we are building side by side, to check if everything is working well.
And as you've seen, it was a good idea.
With the next build (around 5th of March) everything should work on Millet, except the Camera.
god to know.

Updates as long as it is BETA via TWRP.

Hey, dude. First of all, thanks for bringing this ROM for Ali. It's pretty and I personally feel that it's smoother than PE 11.
I just got a problem with twitter and Reddit. The scrolling seems kinda laggy for some reason, even if I have no other app opened. I didn't change any other setting besides factory ones. I don't have root either. Is it a bug from Android 12 in general or perhaps from this ROM?
Also, can we dirty install all new updates you release or we must clean install them?
(Update)
Looks like the proximity sensor is not working too. At least on whatsapp when I try to listen to audios on call speaker

I recently installed PixelExperience_Plus_ali-12.1 using TWRP 3.7, onto a Moto G6 (ali xt1925-4, single SIM) that I was given to play around with and learn some Android stuff.
Since the installation I've been getting some errors and error messages that I'd be grateful for some help in resolving. I have searched the forum but haven't found anything that helps.
The errors messages I'm getting so far are:
1.) "android.process.media keeps stopping...." This message appears quite often.
2.) "com.android.phone keeps stopping...." This message appears less often. I haven't tried to use the device as a phone yet. There is no SIM installed.
3.) "Not enough storage space...." This appears after bringing the phone out of screen lock if I've left the Play Store open when the screen lock has activated.
Settings -> Storage shows "30% used - 22.55 GB free". I believe the device has 32 GB of storage.
Other problems:
a) Apps won't install from the Play Store. When the "Install" button is selected the screen flashes and displays "Pending" then returns to the App's install screen and occasionally a fleeting message appears saying something about low storage but it disappears too quickly to read.
b) The device seems to eat the battery which I only replaced, with a supposed genuine replacement, a short while ago. Settings -> Battery suggests 24hrs use on a 100% full charge. With Android 9 it was about 4 days.
The only apps installed other than the ones that came with PixelExperience_Plus_ali-12.1 are Magisk 25.2 and TWRP 3.7, which were already on the phone before I did the upgrade. The Magisk App may not be installed correctly.
I haven't changed any of the settings on the phone since the installation other than the Screen Timeout from default to 2 minutes and set the WiFi password.

Install other rom??? - I have the Motorola Rescue_and_Smart_Assistant for PC and Android 9 (Pie) rom downloaded from the Motorola website. I successfully used these when I thought I had bricked the phone. Should I try them again or do you suggest a different rom?
