Question [CLOSED] The latest drivers for Windows 11 (and previous releases) at FirstEver.eu [CLOSED] - Windows 11

Hello,
I decided to expand my website and add a section with drivers for Windows OS.
Why I am doing this?
Other driver pages (that I know) have an archaic look
They often do not have the latest driver versions
They are difficult to navigate, no obvious categories, require multiple clicks
Drivers are mixed with program updates - one big mess
They collect all versions of the driver, and the most recent one is often at the very end of the list
They usually don't post beta or development drivers
They often contain links to free hosting that have bandwidth limitations
The sites are filled with advertisements and often redirect to other unsafe sites
They don't educate users
What is the difference?
Modern interface, only important information about the driver
Always the latest driver versions
Easy navigation, main categories and most popular drivers
This page contains only drivers and driver-related topics
Drivers available in stable, beta, development and legacy versions
Direct links to the producer's servers, in a few cases I host the files myself
No ads or other crap
I will post useful driver tutorials in the future

The latest driver what I found for this card is 15.11.0.9 (from 30 April 2015) - you can download it HERE.

UPDATE / 12 December 2022
Changes:
We provide information whether the file is downloaded from the official server (Direct Link) or from our FirstEver.eu server (External Link)
We scanned all the files we host using VirusTotal.com - and they're all safe.

Are you an IOBit employee?
Aside from using OP's thread to promote another software, at least choose a free one.
Snappy Driver Installer Origin would be one of those alternatives not claming to "optimize your gaming experience" by "cleaning invalid device data" to fool people into installing it.

IOBit's DriverBooster Free is crap ..

If you say so ... For me its best feature is the
Driver roll back feature - Easily restore drivers to previous version once unexpected happens
Yes, Driver Booster automatically backs up your current drivers and creates a system restore point before updating, allowing you to roll back if you have problems.
BTW:
At time of this writing it was downloaded 1,423,105 times

Decompress the archive, you will get a folder named "slackware", copy that folder to the ROOT of your sdcard.
Switch on the phone, navigate to that folder using the file browser, run "CLRCAD.exe" first, then run "haret-pre-0.5.3-20100629_092009-QSD8250-ONLY.exe"
Default kernel is USBHOST, if you want to use alternative kernel, open the "startup.txt", comment out (by removing out "#") the kernel you want and comment the kernel you don't want.
You can now customize the system path, to do this, create a file called "slackware_path.txt" under the ROOT of your SD card, and put the slackware path as the content of that file, for example:
"slackware_path.txt":
Code:
/slackwarelinux

- ROOTFS will be 4000MB(NOT 4096MB), due to limit of FAT file system!
- You can use slackpkg to install stuff, just type "slackpkg install packagename" in the terminal.
- You are suggested that to take care all of the dependencies problem FIRST, slackware(slackpkg/installpkg) WILL NOT take care it for you.
- The passwords of users:
root: password Yep, "password" is the password
slackware: Yep, it's blank
- In default, user "slackware" can use sudo without password
Something about the next release
- Next version will be sound enabled(media and in-call sound), solution have been found, but i will not release the driver in THIS RELEASE!
- Next version may have a newer kernel, which works with both MAGLDR and HaRET, I will not release this kernel first because USBHOST is not working

Yes! But you need change your kenel first,
if the kernel compile still fail, i will use HTC HD2 Ubuntu v0.3's kernel
Best of luck with this
As nicola360 implies, touchscreen may not matter if usb hosting works, since we can use keyboard and mouse.
And if we can boot via magldr, then WP7, android and ubuntu tri-booting becomes a workable reality.
I can't wait to have a magldr bootable version of linux! Will the sound (call) and texting work?
Maybe it's a stupid question at this time of the developement of this version...

I think he did it for fun.
Reading through his previous posts I don't see anything malicious about it.
I suppose when you started a thread with 3 reserving posts in it, he just created another one.
Have you PM'd him to remove it?

appx/appxbundle installer for phones (but works everywhere anyway)

I finally did it!
UPDATE: The App is now fully released with the abiltiy to install packages with their dependencies and progress bar notifications on PC and Mobile! This app can now fully replace the built in App Installer and Windows Device Portal for sideloading apps
Source Code: https://github.com/colinkiama/UWP-Package-Installer
NOTE: I don't know if it's a bug or not but on mobile, when I open an .appx or .appxbundle, it asks me what app I want to use to install the package but it doesn't list mine. Maybe it's because I'm on the insider builds so please message me if opening the files works for you on mobile.
For mobile there's a workaround for this shown below. On PCs, the app works exactly like the built in app installer.

Oh wow running awesome in mobile... But some bugs showed up...
1. Sometimes install completes, but still showing installing 98-99% in app..
2. Scaling is not quite perfect.. Please fix scaling for portrait devices...
Suggestion:
Please try to show app name and it's icon, like the App installer of pc

I can fix 1. and 2.
But I need help with the suggestion. I need a way to get the metadata out of the package. My app handles a StorageFile object so it's pretty difficult. I would only be able to show the app name and logo AFTER the package has installed.
Package installer is now feature complete!
You can now install packages with their dependencies and install progress will show in a notification (on all devices including mobile running on the creators update or above). Devices running earlier versions of Windows 10 will have the install progress inside the app like before but there are some notifications that pop up too.

It might be possible using the extended execution and the "extendedExecutionUnconstrained" restricted capability. I've released the source code so anyone could add it in. I'm done with the project right now. I'll just open it up as an issue.

There are some things that Microsoft know that they don't document. I'll open this up as an issue too. I've done research of my own but haven't found anything.
I can't seem to get this working in my Lumia 625, whichever app I try to install it just gives me a "The parameter is incorrect" I already installed the dependencies and have interop and cap unlock from Interop Tools, meanwhile Interop Tools can install apps normally (not entirely sure you were aware or not but that has also had the install appx/appxbundle option since a while).
On another note would there be any hope of you adding the option to also install xap?

pm me more details about your phone and what you did to get that error.
I'm also aware that interop tools has had this install feature. I don't know if it can show progress on the notifications like my app can though ?.
Lastly, no I can't add xap support. The API I'm using doesn't support them.
@EP1CNESSHD well this app did start on builds before CU, even on builds before AU, it allowed me to select an app and a dependency but when pressing Install both on a build before AU (10586.36) and after AU but before CU (14393.1066 and 14393.1715) it would give me the "The parameter is incorrect" error as I described, however once I managed to get CU (15063.297 and then 15063.608) it just started working normally, no error anymore, I didn't even update to the new build from after I reported the error (will test that one on 10586.36 and probably AU afterwards since you confirmed the Notification Extension requires AU soon) so my only guess is that something used actually requires CU, I'll have a look and try to find out what that is when I have some free time.
If anyone has devices on the anniversary update, can you try debugging the app on visual studio. You can clone the source code and even open the project directly in visual studio from github. The link is here: https://github.com/colinkiama/UWP-Package-Installer
Please report any errors you find while debugging to this thread.

Yeah! This app is very useful! Thanks a lot!
After lots of testing and feedback, this app is now absolutely amazing for Mobile! Now on the Creators Update, you can check your install progress in the app and/or in your notifications. If you still have a Windows Phone with Windows 10 lying around then you should get this app ASAP!
[PC Users only]
On the other hand, Windows 10 for PC is still really annoying. PCs won't install any appx/appxbundle packages without their certificates existing in the "Trusted People" certificate store.
However, one person has created a working win32 installer that works around this. Unfortunately, they haven't finished it. Microsoft has made this unnecessarily difficult to sideload apps on PC without paying a lot of money for a certificate. I would love to see someone come up with a workaround for this that makes it easy for every developer to distribute their apps to everyone.
Lol, I've just realised that I never actually released the new version with multiple progress indicators so here it is!: https://github.com/colinkiama/UWP-Package-Installer/releases

Virus / trojan / malware in the official Zopo Speed 7 / 7+ ROM from 2016-09-21

Some weeks ago, a virus appeared a second time on my Speed 7, which is not removable and at the end requires a full re-flash of the device.
Symptoms: every couple of hours two apps with the name "Settings" are getting installed. The virus scanner (I used "Sophos") detect the viruses which belong to the "Triada" class; I can remove them, but after a while they reappear again.
To find out if the malware comes from "outside" (for example by installing a malicious app) or is already pre-installed in the ROM I performed the following investigation:
1) Downloaded the latest ROM for Speed 7 (from 2016-09-21, MD5 sum 8dfa789e1e795f285b4c6a9a65433943) to a Linux PC
2) Unzipped the file, converted "system.img" to a raw image file (with simg2img)
3) mounted the raw image file
4) uploaded the file system/priv-app/System-UI/SystemUI.apk (MD5 sum 55169441bfb82af77f2187614e5d2c1c) to virustotal.com
13 of 59 virus scanners detect a problem:
AegisLab: Android.Troj.Ztorg!c
Arcabit: Android.Trojan.Ztorg.GC
BitDefender: Android.Trojan.Ztorg.GC
ClamAV: Java.Malware.Agent-6331114-0
Emsisoft: Android.Trojan.Ztorg.GC (B)
GData: Android.Trojan.Ztorg.GC
K7GW: Trojan ( 0001140e1 )
MAX: malware (ai score=81)
McAfee: Artemis!55169441BFB8
Qihoo-360: Trojan.Android.Gen
Sophos AV: Andr/Dropr-FY
TrendMicro-HouseCall: Suspicious_GEN.F47V1015
WhiteArmor: Malware.HighConfidence
Conclusion: the latest ROM image for the Speed 7 is infected by a virus / trojan that can not be removed from the system. The purpose of this virus is not obvious to me, but it installs other trojans of the "Triada" class (using the camouflage name "Settings"). In my opinion it is a very serious problem affecting the integrity of private user data and credentials. I also checked the latest ROM images of the Speed 7 plus and Speed 7C models, they are also infected.
Second investigation:
I rooted the phone and installed afwall+, hoping that the firewall will block downloading of additional virus components (beside the already installed system app SystemUI). The log file entries of afwall+ show that SystemUI tries to connect to two different servers, usually several times per minute:
First: 54.169.134.231:80 (name "ec2-54-169-134-231.ap-southeast-1.compute.amazonaws.com")
Since port 80 is HTTP protocol I opened the web page in a browser. It simply shows a page with one single word: "prabat". Maybe a password to access other malware???
Second: 221.130.182.169:80 (no nameserver entry)
Opening this address shows a page with chinese letters only and several links, which are always the same and point to an Android app named NanoLauncher.apk"
Downloading the APK and uploading it to virustotal.com shows that 10 of 62 scanners detect
a virus. Here is the list (only positives):
AegisLab: SUSPICIOUS
AVware: Trojan.AndroidOS.Generic.A
CAT-QuickHeal: Android.Cooee.Ee670 (PUP)
Cyren: AndroidOS/GenPua.185A3C66!Olympus
ESET-NOD32: a variant of Android/Cooee.E potentially unsafe
Fortinet: Riskware/Cooee_E!Android
Ikarus: AdWare.AndroidOS.Cooee
McAfee: Artemis!185A3C66DFD3
McAfee-GW-Edition: Artemis
Symantec Mobile Insight: AppRisk:Generisk
This confirms that the system app SystemUI of the latest official ROM is infected by a severe virus.
I posted my finding also on the ZOPO forum, but after several posts they do not accept messages any more claiming that they will be checked by the moderator.
I also recevied an email by ZOPO with the following answer:
Dear User
As we have told you before, if you flashed the software from our website, then it is ok.
Before we published, we would do full test, and it is no problem.
Thank you.
If you also can not accept this situation, please contact "[email protected]" and request a virus-free image.

Yes, I found this
https://photos.app.goo.gl/NYz1VRMQrZXOWDIj1
Thanks a lot for the useful hint!
I also checked my /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so (directly from my phone) with virustotal.com: 18 of 59 engines detect a virus of the Triada class.
Then I checked the same file from the Speed 7 system image (from 2016-09-21). The file on the ROM image and on my phone are identical, so it has not been modified "from outside" (maybe by another malware). So the virus is definitely pre-installed on the latest ROM image on a system library level (which makes things even worse)!
BTW: which virus scanner did you use to get your results? None of the ones I used up to now detected the problem in libandroid_runstime.so
Dr web or Norton. I have my own port now. Zopo stock is not safe
Zopo Speed 7 / 7+ ROM from 2016-09-21
two installations will always appear after a while "youtube stopped working"
complete blocking of your mobile. I installed Zopo Speed 7+ ROM Ghost45 here is OK.
This is also quite funny: beside the latest ROM images for the Zopo 7 / 7+ / 7C, also the Forum App provided on zopomobile.com is infected with malware!
If the APK file (ZOPO-Forum_APP.apk) is scanned with virustotal.com, 12 of 62 engines detect malware.
After complaining about this on the zopomobile.com forum, all my threads located there were removed and they removed my permission to post anything.

Dear mstdzw,
thanks a lot for the offer! Your port is for the Speed 7+ (ZP952), I own a Speed 7 (ZP951). Can I also install your port on the ZP951 without problems or does one have to modify the ROM image?
Thanks in advance!

CHROME OS ON ANY DEVICE
About Project Croissant (formerly known as Ć̸h̷̢̡r̢͝o̡҉ḿ̴̢̧e̷͜҉f̡͝y͝͞͡͡)
This project is aimed at making Chrome OS (the official releases by google) available for any non-chromebook devices (ATM The device must be able to boot from live USB, this excludes most Android-only devices);
The steps can also be followed on a chromebook, to install an image with android and linux support.
The script uses an official Chrome OS image, while it uses the Kernel and GRUB bootloader from another Chromium OS distribution (EX: ArnoldTheBat builds).
This project has an official GitHub/Wiki page, a Telegram group, a Twitter page and is the result of many ideas and contributions.
Please fill this survey to let us know whether Chromefy works (or doesn't) on your device
Required files
An official Chrome OS recovery image (downloads on the right; RECOMMENDED: eve (best) or pyro are the most complete images [must be from the same chipset vendor (Ex: Intel, ARM or RockChip); If eve/pyro doesn't work, try an image from a device with a similiar chipset as your own]
Another Chrome OS recovery image from a TPM 1.2 device (EX: caroline or kip) or the swtpm.tar file (swtpm TPM2 emulator needs VTPM proxy support in kernel) (this step is only needed if using an image from TPM2 device to fix a login issue, which is most likely the case for newer ones)
An image from a Chromium OS distribution (EX: ArnoldTheBat builds).
The Chromefy installation script.
Installation guide (Partition method)
For method 1 (bootable USB image generation) check this video guide:
Method 2-B (chromium OS root partition conversion) described below:
Other methods described in the official GitHub/Wiki page.
This procedure will install Chrome OS on top of a Chromium OS kernel, you will thus need to install a Chromium OS distribution on your device first;
RECOMMENDED: ArnoldTheBat builds
NOTE: CloudReady builds are not yet supported due to a different partitioning scheme and incompatible kernel
If you consider this guide too generic, try reading a more comprehensive guide
Flash the selected Chromium OS build on a live USB, boot into the live USB and install it on your HDD/SSD by typing the following command on the shell
Code:
sudo /usr/sbin/chromeos-install --dst [COLOR=Blue]YOURDRIVE[/COLOR] [COLOR=DeepSkyBlue](Ex: /dev/sda)[/COLOR]
now make sure the your chromium HDD/SSD installation is working before proceeding.
Resize the third partition of your sdX drive (EX: sda3 inside sda) from its current size to atleast 4GB; I suggest using Gparted live USB to resize it; you can either downsize sdX1 (data partition) or delete the sdX5 partition (we won't need it) to get more unallocated space.
Boot from your live USB again, make sure you have your Chrome OS images available and run the installation script with the following command
Code:
sudo bash /path/to/chromefy.sh [COLOR="blue"]YOURSYSTEMPARTITION[/COLOR][COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"](EX: /dev/sda3)[/COLOR] /path/to/chosenchromeosbuild.bin /path/to/carolinebuild.bin_OR_swtpm.tar
Don't leave live USB yet, make a powerwash (manually) by typing
Code:
sudo mkfs.ext4 [COLOR="Blue"]YOURDATAPARTITION[/COLOR][COLOR="DeepSkyBlue"](Ex: /dev/sda1)[/COLOR]
You can now reboot and enjoy your new "chromebook"
Images supporting swtpm TPM2 emulator
ArnoldTheBat's latest special build (v72) now supports VTPM proxy
FydeOS V6 (or newer) now supports VTPM proxy
ArnoldTheCat v3 (custom)
EmydeOS v3 (custom)
CloudRadish v3 (custom)
FAQ
Can I dualboot with Windows/Linux?
Yes, but it's a little more complicated
Will this ever work on CloudReady?
We don't know, nor we have any ETAs. There's currently a repartitioned image (still not working with chromefy)
My motion sensors do not work, how do I rotate the screen?
Laptop mode/keyboard connected: press ctrl+shift+f3
Tablet mode: use this app by Andrew Whaley (source) (check out his blog)
Linux apps (crostini) are not working at all, how do i fix it?
Go check if you have enabled all virtualization related option in your BIOS (Ex: "Intel Virtualization", "VT-x", "VT-e" etc...) (you should)
Do automatic updates work? How to update?
Not at the moment, and it's unlikely we find a workaround; you can update by ONLY repeating step 3 (without step 4).
ChromiumOS works on live USB but not HDD, what to do?
Did you remove the USB before rebooting the fist time? If you did NOT, you might need to reinstall it. If you did, try using fix_grub.sh
Some apps (ex: Netflix) do not show up in the Play Store, how do I fix it?
Read next answer
SafetyNet check fails, why?
For SafetyNet not to break you need two things, leave selinux on enforcing when chromefying (only working on Pie, otherwise will break android container) and disable "cros_debug" in the grub launcher to boot without developer mode (Custom images [ex: CloudRadish] have custom boot entries for this)
ChromeOS flags are not showing up, why?
Try opening the chrome://flags page in incognito mode.
Alternatives
FydeOS
Fyde OS is a Chromium OS based operating system that comes with Android apps; if you don't want to bother with the hassle of running the chromefy script and just want an OS that works out of the box, this might be for you.
...Also the developers are awesome
ArnoldTheBat
Does not come with Android apps (yet), but he's awesome too, so there's that

Play Store (and crostini) works.
And yes, you can install it over FydeOS;
Some users report Arnold kernel working better for them, for others it's Fyde, so just test both to find the best one for your device

Tried it with Arnold special build on my AMD-450 with Radeon GPU and got a bootloop. I wasn't surprised because I don't think that there are any chromebooks with AMD chipset yet! The procedure was pretty painless though, thanks for all your hard work.

This is something I have offered for well over 3 years...... http://zzsethzz.blogspot.com/2015/09/install-chromium-upgrade-it-to-chrome.html
Does this not suffer from the same hardware support issues due to the fact that ChromeOS has very limited hardware support naively?

Tried that some time ago and never worked for me as well as this method, also this one let's you have Crostini with the new recovery images that have tpm protection.

That is simply a hardware based issue and not selecting the right build. I admit my project needs more work but even the github page tells you to use a build close to your own hardware. Also the TPM is bypassed and not a functioning part of the OS in this regard the same as mine, from a quick look anyway.
All this does is the exact same as my script but you have to download a lot of other crap too, my script does it all for you. This seems a rather long method to get the exact same thing.
Mine also doesn't require any messing with partitions, even between upgrading to newer versions.

Not build problem since I have an Ivy Bridge system and I'm using eve (pixelbook) recovery image and works perfectly, and maybe it's not your script fault, I don't remember it to be honest, I used it once 2 or more months ago. But another guy also has a script that downloads the image automatically. But I'm telling you to please join our telegram group, it's better if we work all together. I apologise if I somehow offended you.

Your script, if I recall, uses the kernel from the downloaded chrome OS build, that's why you had to pick a version from a device with a similiar processor.
This not only limits the number of builds you can install, but, by extension, the features you can have, and the conpatible devices, and many drivers (bluetooth and stuff) may not work
This method copies the kernel from chromiumOS (as well as kernel modules and certificates)
Hi, I'm wondering if this can be installed in my 2016 Pixel C tablet, as it has an ARM processor and it was rumored to be designed to use Chrome OS.
Anyone can help me?
Is it multi-bootable with windows 10??
Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs

ATM you can't do this on Android tablets (unless they have a BIOS and live USB booting, which is not your case)
Will this method give Android and Linux app support to devices that Google hasn't enabled that for? I have an Acer C720p that's been an awesome Chromebook, and I use Ubuntu on it as well using crouton. I suspect it would run Android just as well, but so far the ability hasn't been unlocked officially.
Nice

Yes (but in case you have a BayTrail device, still no linux)

Nexus 7 wiped operating system

Hello.
Could anybody point me towards, or drag me along, a path to revive a Nexus 7, please?
If I have wandered into the big boys forum please feel free to tell me to clear off or, better, suggest an alternative forum more suited to my ability. After two weeks of "research" I am stuck at what I suspect is a simple matter around connectivity. Is this a suitable place to ask for any help & guidance? ; I am well aware that it would be needed in a simplistic form.
As a learning project, I managed to root a Nexus 7 2013 which was displaying problems, and enabled USB debugging.. However, whilst exploring the TWRP options on the Nexus, I wiped everything, including the OS and I had not made a backup.
On a Windows XP tower, I installed Nexus Root Toolkit & an Android OS version plus a multitude of files, such as TWRP & GAPP.
When connected by USB cable, the XP machine finds new hardware, but the installation wizard fails and the Nexus does not show up in Device Manager or elsewhere.
Running NRT shows ADB /Fastboot connectivity as failed. (fastboot gelvar lock)
(I have had no success in trying to follow the NRT proffered solutions including driver updates, although the google drivers show as downloaded.)
On the Nexus I can access the basic TWRP screen and the Android Start screen, from which only the Google lock screen can be displayed.
Thanks for reading so far.

Did you search/read HERE. That is the forum for the N7. I also have the same model and I also know that posting in that forum will fetch a reply, if at all, at a much later date. That is why I have not moved your thread there.
I also used the NRT in the initial days of my learning process and faced the driver issue also. One solution that worked was to install USBDview and remove all the unnecessary drivers before using NRT for installing drivers and for flashing.
Did you go through the NRT thread for the driver issue?
Thanks. ( I have read through some of the Nexus section threads, but cannot find a suitable solution.)
Using USBDview within NRT enabled me to clear several Nexua & Android items and get folders for Portable Devices and MTR to show in XP Device Manager; however the MTR displays a fault (exclamation) marking, (although it reports as working OK and no better update is found with the wizard.).
Using NRT firstly reports that "updates cannot access serve" and using "Unlock Bootloader" indicates "Fastboot device Connected, before changing the Nexus screen from Start arrow to Google lock screen, At the same time XP reports new hardware found (MTR device) and the wizard reports it as installed
So there must be some form of connection.
However if Full Driver Test is then run, NRT just reports ADR device not found.
TheNRT subsequent suggestions hinge on having USB Debugging toggle access.
Sorry, but I have no idea for a suitable logical rectification route.
Google Asus Nexus 7 (2013) is based on Qualcomm-Snapdragon chipset hence you need to download and install Qualcomm-Snapdragon-suitable USB-drivers ( incl. ADB / Fastboot ) what is a must need to connect a Snapdragon Chipset based device with a computer: the USB-drivers (ADB / Fastboot) what are offered on hundreds of websites - as also here on XDA - are developed by Google for Google Pixel phones, although they may work on other devices, too.
Thanks. I have now got a Qualcomm (unzipped)) folder Driver with sub folders & tried to set this for the MTP device in the XP Device manager. No success, probably due to my lack of knowledge.
How do I proceed, please?
By asking such basic questions, should I abandon the Nexus until I have learned to walk?

In the NRT, there is a section on driver installation and also drivers. After removing redundant drivers with USBDview, try the drivers and methods given in NRT itself. Unless proper drivers are installed, you can't do anything whether with NRT or adb.
Also, try a different PC or laptop.
I tried on a Windows10 laptop but the trial followed exactly the same route as already followed & ended in exactly the same place.
Drivers were installed from within NRT. The NRT signposted ones are Google (No mention of Qualcomm)
Still getting "No ADB connectivity for MTR device"

Thanks. I had already tried that Install wizard, but have repeated it. It runs and reports "Drivers installed" (although I cannot find where). The Nexus still shows in XP Device Manager as a portable device and with MTP showing fault requesting reinstall drivers.
