Question Touchscreen freezing - Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

Hello,
I really hope someone could help me.
My phone's touchscreen is becoming unresponsive at random times but mostly if the phone is not being used and I'm moving(in my pocket). The display works fine, if I am pressing lock twice, for example, the camera app pops but I am not able to press the caption button.
This issue is resolved if I restart the phone (volume down and lock button), but after a few minutes it becomes unresponsive again.
Also I noticed that the battery drains way faster.
This is how I tried so far to solve the issue:
-delete recent downloaded apps
-start the phone in safe mode
-reset factory the phone
This issue started at the end of quite very high altitude, not sure if this could be related.
Help would be really much appreciated, currently backpacking and don't afford a new phone or spending loads of money on repairing.
Thank you

A SEU is possible. Rare but more common at high altitudes. Try reflashing to same version firmware. A hardware failure be more likely nonetheless you need the eliminate corrupted firmware as a possible cause. If under warranty, send it in.

Try downloading UsbMode.apk
It will report your touches, also mutltiple touches.
(Ok, Developer Options in Settings has a variant of this too.)

A family member had this problem too - I ended up sending it to my carrier for repair. Hopefully yours is still under warranty if it's the same issue.

because the touch responds perfectly the way it should when i reset my phone but after i power off the screen and wake up to the lock screen i can't unlock the phone b/c it won't respond to my touch after that
so please help out guys
thanks
hm... try hard-reseting the phone. but back up your data first using some backup software like sprite backup
Tried that as well no luck any other suggestion guys
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I had the exact same problem, and I had to hard reset everytime, but as soon as I would press the end key it would be unresponsive. What I learned is that right after you hard reset you should only try waking pressing other keys than the end key and let it go to sleep by itself. Also did you use any EVO android builds, or Android at all, not sure if it's relevant, but that's where it all went wrong for me with the EVO build. I do find it quite odd that quite a few people are experiencing the same thing with the touchscreen and it also seems that there really isn't a solution to this. I had to send it in for a repair, and it got fixed pretty quick. Perhaps this needs to be investigated more.
i have same problem with my htc hd2
it is so annoying. i will send to repair service too..
hey i have the same problem too ! did you installed the new c0okies home tab ? because i did and after that it start it messing up.. well i did a thread yesterday about this.. the only responses i got was to send it back to repair. I just did not turn off the screen for nothing today during the whole school day it almost finisihed the whole day, it last it me about 6 hours without turning off the screen, otherwise the touchscreen becomes unresponsive.
Temporary fix/test
I just fixed it temporarily, i fixed it by taking off the battery cover and pressing down on the htc logo (below lcd) and pressure on both the front and back of the phone where the htc logo is.
if you do this and it fixes it, you most likely have a dodgy lcd/digitiser flex ribbon cable.

[Q] Freezing HD2 after lock

I know there are hundreds of threads and articles posted about HD2s freezing with the lock screen but this issue seems different to me. My problem is that whenever I lock the phone the touch screen will freeze entirely. I thought a work around may be to install a different lock screen. After installing that I can get past the lock screen but the touch screen still is not responsive. I have no idea what to do. I already did a hard reset and it still does it. I would like to add that it is completely consistent. It happens every time without fail. In order to even use the phone I have to pull the battery and I get one use out of it before it locks and I have to pull the battery again. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would really appreciate it..
Update: I flashed the original ROM to my phone and the freezing problem still exists.. I have no idea what to do at this point.
Update 2: Narrowed down the problem to being the physical "power/end/lock" button. If I slightly press it but not fully it will go to the honeycomb style menu with all the apps. If I press it fully the screen will go out like normal but then if I restore it, the entire screen is locked up. Nothing will work after that until I pull the battery.
I've directly linked the issue with the power button. I dont know why all of a sudden the power button would have a different function. The work around I found is while the phone is locked and the screen is off I can press the green button to unlock the phone and the touch screen will then function. If I use the power button it will remain frozen. Any ideas what happened?
Hello,
I got some bad news for you, this issue is actually related to the digitizer (hardware) not software. What i would recommend is called HTC for a repair and send it in, it is covered by warranty, hopefully you have warranty.
A lot of people are having this issue, no-one yet has been able to pinpoint the cause, but here is the link a thread with similar problem:

Thanks for the reply. I do not think I have a warranty on this phone considering I bought it privately. Ill talk to Tmo and HTC and see what I can do. Just a theory, I may be wrong. But I live in PA and its been getting below 20 here lately. I noticed today that my work around didnt work when I was outside working on my car. Then I went inside and used a blow dryer to heat up the phone and it started working again. The end button didn't function properly but I could unlock the phone with the green send button. Perhaps the cold weather is shorting out people's digitizers? I don't really know how they work so that's why i said its only a theory. I bought this phone in the spring and didnt have an issue until now when it started getting really cold.

[Q] BIG troubles with the Xiaomi Mi-2! Please help can't boot into recovery

Can anyone help. There seems to be limited forums going round with trouble shooting for the Xiaomi Mi-2. I had high hopes for this device but since purchasing it have only experience issue after issue. I have tried to keep all the issues I've had to a digestible length, thank you in advance to any one that can assist me with this clusterfrak of issues.:fingers-crossed:
I purchased a Xiaomi Mi-2 very recently and right out the box I have been having issues with the handset. The latest has rendered the device completely unusable. Here is a list of all the on going issues listed in order of when I have experienced them since my purchase.
1. device switches off if it is knocked ever so slightly. This occurred right out the box. I thought it might be an issue with the contact from the battery to the connectors on the device but there appears to be nothing wrong.
2. device runs slow and stutters between applications. This with no apps other than the stock apps that came with the device installed.
3. battery life very poor. I owned a Samsung Galaxy Nexus before the Xiaomi and I thought that was bad but even with no apps running in the background and the screen brightness set to its minimum setting I would only get 2-3 hours tops out before getting a 16% battery life warning dialogue popping up.
4. yesterday I answered a call and the device reset itself. After booting I noticed that I no longer had the function of any of the hard (touch) buttons at the bottom (the home, back and apps switch). Even after resetting multiple times, removing the sim and letting the device cool (suspected overheating) the buttons still cease to function.
5. Then today for some reason the device is locked onto landscape mode on the lock screen rendering me unable to unlock the device with my set finger combination password.
6. The final straw came only moment ago and the reason I have decided to start a new thread, I found that I am unable to get the device to boot into Mi recovery mode. I have tried time and time again with the correct up-volume button pressed and power button combination with the boot logo and all I get is the broken android symbol that is lying on its back.
Is there any hope for what seems like my terminally ill new Xiaomi. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Does Xiaomi have warranty on it? If it does, I'd use that to get it fixed. If you can get to the market, download Quick Boot so you can boot into recovery.

Huawei U8950D dead spot and slow processing/lag problems

Hi, I was browsing one day using "Google Chrome" on my Huawei U8950D then all of the sudden my phone just hanged, the screen won't respond and the lock button doesn't work, so I had to remove the battery to reboot the device. When I turned the phone back on I noticed sudden slowness of processing of applications and a huge bar of dead spot just happened to appear on my screen, I haven't dropped it or got it wet, it just happened.
My suspicions was the software side causing hardware problems on the phone. I don't know if I can repair the screen through software but what I want to know is how can I fix the "Lag" part of the device, the "slow processing".
To be honest I'm not that much familiar to mobile devices and android software but I would really appreciate any help coming from you guys who might have experience the same problems or maybe knowledge in getting me out of the this mess.
Edit: I also experience unresponsiveness of the screen and I always need to press to lock button to sorta "refresh" the screen so it would respond again.
Need Help badly. Thanks in advance

Redmi 5 slowdown and slow screen response

I have a Redmi 5 phone. I had Global Stable ROM than switched to EU Beta. Currently on 8.7.19. I had a problem on both ROM. Randomly my phone slowdowns. Or at least the screen I don't know exactly. I have to press the screen harder and the response can take 1-2 seconds. Locking and unlocking the phone solves it. What can I do to solve this problem?
I have reported the issue. Please confirm it. We need official answers because many people has this. http://en.miui.com/thread-3446668-2-1.html
OK! I'm pretty sure now it's a hardware issue! Flashed TWRP recovery which also had screen freeze problems!!!!!
Than flashed an old firmware 9.2 something and flashed LineageOS over it. Guess what? SCREEN FREEZE!!! It can only mean one thing: it's a hardware issue. It's also explains why they ignore it: because they don't want to admit it! And because this much people has this problem we can say Redmi 5 is a FAILED PRODUCT. Xiaomi should call back this devices and give back my money immediately. But I think we are just ****. They will not care about it. Maybe only the service center can do something about it but it's a long and unnecessarily procedure. I think best option is to sell the phone and NEVER buy Xiaomi again and to stop recommend to anyone to buy it.

BUG report: http://en.miui.com/thread-3446668-1-1.html
Hi! I have this exact same problem but I ruled out a hardware issue because every time there was slow to none response, if I turned the screen off and on again, it would fix it. I've been looking for a solution and after trying many, many things I've discovered the problem was that I was using the Full Screen option offered by MI, i.e. the option to remove the three main buttons at the bottom of the screen (Back, Home and running apps) and to control the phone with gestures. After going back to the classic three button style, I restarted the phone just in case and I haven't had any more response issues in two days, I think it was a success!!
I also faced this problem for months, specially, after I changed my display as I accidentally dropped my phone a few months ago. Sometimes the screen seems to freeze temporarily, but then -
- turning off and again turning on screen
- swiping the screen (bottom-top) with a little pressure for 1-2 seconds
- slightly bending the device
Any of this three work for me.
What I think:
It's a hardware (display) issue. My newly changed display creates this. But I am quite sure, when my device bends slightly this problem occurs.
