Trying to change the boot logo of a AMLogic P281 with Android TV 9.0 - Android Stick & Console AMLogic based Computers

Hi everyone, I'm new to XDA and Android rooting, I'm trying to extract and change the boot logo image of a Chinese Android TV Box (the one that comes before the boot animation), I've done a lot of research for figuring out how to change it, but none of the options worked, not even extracting the image with ADB commands... or with Ricky's AMLogic tools (also because it's not compatible with anything newer than Android Nougat if i'm not wrong), and I'm getting confused on how to do it, is there any method for extracting the Android TV's boot logo image and change it to something different?
EDIT: The Android TV box it's ALREADY rooted.

[Q] ORION TAB-700QC firmware needed (atm7029 cpu)

Sal all,
I cannot find firmware for this tablet. It's a 7inch, dual camera, atm7029 quad core cpu, that doesn't start, but i can write firmware with Actions Pad Product Tool.
The only available firmwares for this type of cpu (atm7029) i was able to find, were from Ainol tablets, but these are not good.(only lights start 1sec)
Can someone help ?
10x in advance !
Hi! There is a similar device firmware from (Russian): (yadi.sk/d/Wku6HWTxKkaKa)
But WiFi and camera other.
System image
Here is the image of the system partition. Dumped with ADB from a working tablet. (512MB)
(mediafire.com/download/roc8870rirvt3hw/actc_system.img)
And this is the image of the recovery partition: (48MB)
(mediafire.com/download/fd30kaio8xb490j/acta_recovery.img)
If you want to see what's inside the images, mount the image in Linux, or use Linux Reader if you're using Windows.
How to use the actc_system.img and acta_recovery.img
Hi, I'm an android newbie needing help. I found this thread while searching for how to deal with a bootlooping Orion TAB-700qc tablet belonging to a friend.
Apparently my friend tried to update the tablet with the wrong update (I'm not really sure what he did), but it went into a bootloop -- it will not get past the "android" screen. I found how to go into the Recovery menu but nothing there would fix the problem. I have downloaded the actc_system.img and acta_recovery.img discussed in this thread, but I need step-by-step instructions for how to use them to get the tablet working again.
Can someone please direct me to instructions that I as a newbie will understand? I have worked a lot with pc's but I have almost no experience with androids.
Thanks,
cmNhu

Unbrick amlogic tablets
Hello stoio
I have almost the same Tablet. It's a Prestigio PMP5580C, for me it is labeld as Intenso Tab 814, but they are completely the same. I have tried to find the u-boot.bin in the stock firmware, but I didn't sucess yet. I've downloaded several tools which allows me to make my 16 GB MicroSD card recognized as a 512 MB SD card, there I have to put the files on it to unbrick my tablet, it's amlogic (like my username) (someone told me that this is the chipset). It has a TOSHIBA TC58TEG6DCJTA00 NAND flash chip of 8 GB capazity. I also need help by getting my tablet unbricked.
In the future Inwant to learn with this amlogic based tablet how to create custom ROM's, recoveries and custom boot splash screens.
Thanks for any help, I reall appreciate your help,
Please note that I'm from Germany and my English is not good as it should used to be, but I have a dictionary (as a normal book) where I can get good communication with you. I like the idea of using english only.
Every Image (.img) were made with the dd command, I need to look inside in the images and open the content, I used a hex editor and tried to strip off the 2k of data, but I can't success. I'm using this tutorial:
I'm using this hex editor under linux: Okteta
I don't know how to delete the 2k of data. I need to know what content the partitions have to unbrick my amlogic based tablet, cause I'm seeing still the white android robot, and the charging battery or charged plugin picture, but this tablet doesn't have a bootloader or recovery so I'm out of ideas, the only way for me is to use a microsd card like an live cd to automatically let this tablet flash stock firmware, but where is it? Please help me out, I meight be wrong, it's possible that different repairing ways exist, too.

[Q] Boot on charge on rockchip devices

Hey guys!
This is my first post so, first of all sorry for my english errors and newbie questions.
I'm trying to find a way to set the device to boot up when plugged into the charger until see the charging animation. I know that have a lot of posts that talk about this but no one can give me a solution for Rockchip based devices.
I've bought an Alcatel One touch Evo 7 a few days ago, and other tablets based on the rockchip and all of them have the same problem.
I've bought an Allwinner A13 based tablet too and by downloading the script.bin, converting to fex and change the [target] power_start = 1 everything went simply perfect!
But i can't find how can i get or if i can get the script.bin from rockchip based device because doesn't exist the /dev/block/nanda, instead of this my boot mountpoint is /dev/block/mtdblock2. I've tried to mount the mtdblock2 as i've done with the nanda on allwinner but without success.
Another idea was add the "/system/bin/reboot" on the init.rc on charger area but i've downloaded the boot.img, unpacked, changed the init.rc and repacked, flashed via Batch Tools successfully but without any change. Simple like i never did any changes on the boot.img, don't change anything.
I've tried to put into fastboot mode and then will send the command "fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0", but i can't get into this mode. The tablet reboot's into bootloader mode but when i type fastboot devices on linux, mac and windows (even installing all the drivers) simply doesn't return anything.
Please if anyone can give me any idea or clue i'm very grateful.
Thanks!
Please check if the tablet say all time, that he was charging, also by not conected charger

[Q] How to get ROM image from Android Rockchip RK3066 device?

I have an rooted Android (4.4.2 Ugoos UG802 mini PC) device, mini PC (without screen or buttons) with Rockchip RK3066.
I was trying to create an image of its ROM using ROM manager (on Google Play), but when I tried to backup current ROM, it turned off and then said 'No command' with resting android.
MiniPC doesn't have volume buttons so I was unable to go through this problem.
After that, I tried romdump using tutorial, but although I have many files now, (f.e. boot.img or system.tar) I do not clearly understand what should I do with all those files. My intention is to get update.img which I can flash to other device.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S.: I would like to add some links, but I cannot do that.

S905X T95N 1GB/8GB Won't Boot LibreELEC/CoreELEC

Hello,
I have a T95N/T95X S905X P212 1GB/8GB Chinese box.
The newest stock firmware for it is "T95X Amlogic S905X 4K KODI 16.1 Preinstaled Android 6.0 TV BOX Firmware 20160921"
The "P212 MXQ Pro S905X T95X 1G Android TV Stripped" also work, and that's the one I'm currently using.
I've tried all LibreElec and CoreElec builds available for the S905X with all the DTB variants, putting them on the root of the stick and renaming to dtb.img as instructed, and they all have the same behavior: The boot logo (S905X logo) appears, then fades to black, then nothing.
I've left the box on for hours and nothing happens. The box doesn't connect itself to the network (Ethernet) so I can't ssh to it. I've tried to boot using 4 different SD cards and 5 different USB pendrives.
I did a cat /proc/device-tree/amlogic-dt-id to confirm which DTB the Android build was using and the result was:
gxl_p212_1g
But the corresponding dtb file from the repos doesn't work.
I dumped my dtb.img from the android firmware in the box using dd if=/dev/dtb | gzip > /storage/downloads/dtb.img.gz and tested the extracted dtb.img, and when I put it on the USB stick it freezes on the boot logo, it doesn't even fades to black.
I've tried splitting it, since it's a multi DTB. Using the individual ones I still get the frozen boot logo, doesn't even progress to the black screen like the others. I'm attaching the original dumped file and the split ones.
The latest ARMBian, "Armbian_5.37_S9xxx_Debian_stretch_3.14.29_icewm_20171226.img", works ok but it gives me a lot of emmc errors on boot. I'm attaching the DMESG log as well.
I've tried all the DTB's included on the ARMBian image on LibreELEC and Core but they all go the black screen route.
Thanks for the help!
our device is a ddr4 p212 and uses a different uboot file.. I think xtmod ex will work on it... im testing it now... I tried even the atvxperience 1gb ddr4 version and didnt work
