Question notification sounds - Oppo Find N

hello everyone after so much effort all the notifications arrive but for telegram and whatsapp I have no sounds ...

Please check the question "Android 13 on Oppo Find N", post #105, there is the solution. I tried and worked for me.
Basically, you need to "reset" the notifications on WhatsApp and Telegram application and define it on phone's menu (notification area).
On WhatsApp, click on the 3 dots (upper right side of the application) -> "Settings" -> "Notifications". Inside "Notifications", click the 3 dots (upper right side of the menu) and choose "Reset notification settings".
On Telegram, "Settings" -> "Notifications and Sounds" and then scroll to the end. You will find the "Reset All Notifications".
After this, just go to "Settings" on your Oppo, then choose "Apps" -> "App management" and find WhatsApp and Telegram. For each one, choose "Manage notifications" and configure as you like.

thanks a lot man i was in trouble thanks so much

thanks a lot man but not work for me

No message previews on 6.0.1?

Very strange issue I'm having with the Gf's phone, I flashed the XEU firmware on to her G925F which was on latest btu, everything went really smoothly but the only problem I seem to be having is whenever I or someone else texts her she doesn't get a message preview, I've been into the message settings and made sure 'show preview' or anything like that is on and it doesn't seem to change anything. When the phone is unlocked she will get the preview but when locked it will just come up 'Messages 1 new message' Anyone had the same problem?
To fix go to settings--> apps--> advanced settings (gear icon top right)--> draw over other apps--> from here you should see a list of apps with a yes/no option. Go through the list switching "yes" to "no" and backwards!

When I go into settings then applications I don't have 'advanced settings' just apllication manager and default applications, I can click on apllication manager then on more which brings me and option of 'apps that can appear on top' messages are enabled here but stil no message preview on lock screen just says 'messages 1 new message'
Thanks for your help in advance

Gmail - cannot set custom sound?

I've noted in the Mate 10, but it's likely to be an Oreo thing, I can't seem to set a custom tone for new mail notification. In the Mate 9, it was under settings, my email address and inbox, sound and vibrate. That option is in Gmail under Oreo on the Mate 10 but the option to set a custom tone is missing...am I missing something?
No-one? Can anyone confirm what I'm seeing??
OK so I guess no-one uses Gmail?
Its changed in Oreo. Now there's a section in settings, after you click your email address called "Manage notifications". Tap on this. Then, under the section saying "Email Normal Allow these notifications to make sounds", which should be 'on', tap on this. You can set the sound in the next section.
Jeez. Not one guide on interwebs saying how to do this!
I use Gmail and cannot separate the tones from texting and gmail. I do not have the section saying "Email Normal Allow these notifications to make sounds". Anyone have a solution?
Dump the G-mail app (disable & clear data under "Apps") and install K-9 Mail. Everything's configurable (and I do mean everything!), works brilliantly, is lighter in weight than the G-mail app, and is completely free.
Here is how it is done...in the Oreo world...
Open Gmail > top left hamburger > settings > General settings > Manage notifications > Long press on the word "Mail" not the toggle itself but right on the word, and another secret, hidden, stupid, settings menu will open and it's in here where you can choose a separate tone for email as well as turn on the notification light for Gmail.
Thank you. Your solution worked well with my Huawei Mate 10 Pro in Gmail and Messanger
Couldnt find any solution to change the notification sound for twitter. Any help is welcome. I followed the same steps as mentioned above.

Sorry, don't get it. Can you make a screen dump of the location where to long press.
I need the option to select sound while editing the labels

It is exactly as I stated in my original directions...it could not be any clearer.
Once you tap on "Manage notifications" it will take you to the screen "App notifications" then you long press directly on the word MAIL which is directly under your email address.
You can also long press on the other "words" listed there for different notification settings. The words are to the left of the screen...the toggles are to the right.
Also, if you're looking to be able to set a different tone based on a label you created...I don't think that is possible.
FWIW, it Doesn't have to be a log press. just touch the mail part.
Mine says "Email" but great, it worked.

Thank you so much! I've had my Huawei P10 for almost a year and couldn't find where to add custom notification to Gmail. It's so frustrating when they do stupid ish like this because pretty much every other explanation says go to manage notification but not detailed enough to say click on title. I had the Huawei P6 and was impressed with Huawei enough to make it my go to brand but this ish frustrated me enough to consider another brand.
Well it just changes the default notification sound for me.

Lock screen notifications and drop down menu problem

I have a problem with my Huawei mate 10 pro, when the screen is looked I can only see the time, date and the background theme for sure. But I can't see any notifications and I can't even see the drop down menu "notification bar" which includes wifi, Bluetooth.. etc. When I swipe down it asks me to enter my password instead of getting drop down menu settings. It is really annoying. I tried everything in the settings, I changed everything to "display all notifications" in Settings -> apps & notifications -> notifications management -> each app to enable and in top right menu "display all notifications". I thought it is always like this for huawei phones but my friend has mate 10 and he can see the notifications bar and his all notifications while the screen is locked. So any help please how to solve this problem! I want to see the notifications and the drop down menu "notification bar"

T-Mobile V30 Oreo Notifications

Ever since I upgraded my v30 to Oreo, system notifications are driving me crazy. Despite installing many notification apps such as "Hide Running in the Background", "Notificon", the built-in Notification Settings, etc. I can find no way to silence system notifications such as for Wi-Fi Calling, System UI (wireless charging), and Android System (Change Keyboard) Does anyone have any suggestions?
For the keyboard one if you go to Settings > System > Language & Input > Current Keyboard > Manage Keyboards and deselect the keyboards you don't use it'll disappear.

To start, just head to Settings –> Apps & notifications, then tap "See all apps." From there, press the three-dot menu button in the top-right corner and select "Show system." Next, scroll down a bit and select the "Android System" app. From there, tap the "App notifications" entry on the subsequent screen. From there you can turn off whichever one you want. Mine was the apps "using the battery" that was driving me nuts.

Yeah, I turned that one off also.
Overall I like the new Oreo notifications in that they take up less space in the pull down area.
Notifications better now.
I was previously complaining about all the new system notifications since doing an OTA update to Oreo. I recently messed up my phone and decided to do a factory reset and fresh install. Talk about an improvement! Ever since my factory reset all notifications are working as they should. I'm no longer being bombarded with extraneous beeps that were driving me crazy. My phone is my friend again!

Realme 1 Notification not displaying.

Hi All,
I am using RealMe for 3 weeks now.
Seeing one serious problem here.
The phone manager app is cleaning the memory. So the apps in background will stop syncing and hence there are no notification messages coming.
I have experienced this problem with Outlook mails, Inshort news and with many other apps.
When I digged in, I found there are many places we can change the settings for notification messages. I have done all these changes. But no impact at all.
Moreover in status bar also there are no icon for new notifications.
[ only WhatsApp works as expected]
In some forum I found to solve this issue we need to turn off phone manager app. But I am not finding any place to disable this app.
Can anybody please help me out here what needs to be done?
Same problem here. And this is actually a very big problem for me. Everything else is great in this phone but this is ruining it.
+1
Notification pop up remain for quite a long time which annoy while playing games or watching videos. The pop up should disappear when slide by finger like in many other phone.

As per the official notice, you can go to phone manager.. than go to privacy permissions.. u can enable upto 5apps excluding WhatsApp and true caller..
Solution
1. Go to Settings> Notification & Status Bar> Manage Notifications> Enable "Turn on the screen for notifications".
2. Go to Settings> Notification & Status Bar> Manage Notifications> Select the desired application> Enable "Allow Notifications, Display on Lock Screen and Display at the top of the screen.
3. Go to Settings> Battery> Energy Saver> Select the desired application> Disable "Background Freeze".
4. Go to Settings> App Management> Show System Processess> Select the desired application> Privacy Permissions> Enable all the options.
5. Open Recent Menu and then slide down the app page you can find the lock symbol. Tap on that symbol to lock the application.

You can switch back to normal theme and can see notification on lock screen then.
I have tried all other themes and no another theme supported a lockscreen notification.
May be a bug.

One serious problem is when I turn on the accessibility of an individual app and developer options, status bar color changes to yellow nd it won't go until I switch them back to off.... And even if I clear ram, the accessibility turns off automatically... Any solution to keep accessibility always on of a desired app? I tried every possible trick but in vain...a little help is appreciated. Thank you

What's app and Gmail is fine.. no issues with that.. my problem is with apps ..say news app or a cricket app.. for that matter any app.. it just doesn't show notification.. which is a normal thing.. notification comes only after I open the app and not automatically .
