[Question] Bypassing Xiaomi MIUI PIN lock screen - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everybody,
I was trying to remove screen lock pin from my Xiaomi Mi 10, from the scren lock settings menu, the phone asked for the current pin and, after entering it (correctly I assume), the phone gave an error and shut down.
Since the next reboot I've still found the lock screen asking for the pin but no longer accepting the last one.
What happened? How can I fix? I did not change the pin, I was on the screen lock removal menu.
I have unbacked-up data that I absolutely need to recover, the phone comes with stock ROM, it doesn't have usb debugging mode active, bootloader is still locked.
I tried turning the phone on in safe mode but it still asks for the pin, I tried removing the SIM card too.
The phone is linked with my google account but (maybe for a bug?) android device manager can't connect to my phone until it is unlocked (last time seen is before the lock screen problem).
There is no Xiaomi account linked to my phone then I can't find it using Mi Cloud.
I'm able to access to recovery mode or fastboot. I also downloaded Mi Phone Assistant that is able to recognise my phone in download mode but the disclaimer says that updating the phone may result in data loss.
Is there any software I can use to reset the pin code without losing my data?
Thank you!

Hi, I have a ZTE V8000 with stock android and locked home screen without WIFI. This is an old phone that I was going to sell for parts but I'm unable to access due to locked home screen. I'd really like to recover any app data (angry birds and what not) and any contacts. Phone is completely stock and is not rooted. I can't connect to WIFI so I can't reset via playstore. I tried connecting to computer several times. Once I was able to pull up two folders which I didn't back up and the second time after trying to access different boot mode I was able to pull up Image AMSS which I later found out was just for the radio. The phone goes straight to the android on his back with error triangle when attempting to enter recovery mode. Safe mode does nothing to bypass screen lock and holding down arrow and power boots up until it says ZTE then stops. (What does is this boot mode supposed to do?) This is very frustrating since it seems to me like there would have to be some way to access data on android internal storage? Would there be a way to modify the password lock via an update from external storage?
This has become very frustrating for me as I know EVERYTHING has a workaround . Why would there be an option to encrypt the device if the screen lock is impenetrable?

update:
I don't know if this is relevant or not but I possibly rooted phone with SuperSU_v1.86 for engage. Still stuck with stock recovery though. I also tried to run Aroma File Manager from SD Card and had error with the signature.

I was unable to extract any useful data from the phone after factory reset besides a few pics with data digger. My other cracked engage with screen locked i was able to use temporary recovery manager loaded by update from external storage and i was able to make a nandroid and extract anything i wanted with titanium backup pro. The temp recovery is an awesome tool and i wish it was available for all my devices

[HELP] I'm in a pickle

So here's the deal.
My S6 edge is rooted. My USB port broke or something and now it only charges at USB speeds and will not connect over USB to a pc. I sold it to someone on ebay since I already got another phone. The problem is that I can't reset the phone because for some reason reactivation lock is stuck. I can't turn it off. I hit the toggle, it takes me to where I enter my samsung account password and the it goes back but reactivation lock is still active. I cannot factory reset through the phone menu because of dm-verity verification failed. And I can't fix that problem because I can't flash back to stock because my phone can;t connect to a pc over USB for odin to work.
I see that in recovery you can apply update from cache. Could that be used to flash an update.zip or something similar.

ZTE SmartTab10 asking for password after update

Hello,
I've recently acquired a ZTE SmartTab10 and it was working just fine, after a software update started asking me for password. So it boots up and it says 'enter your password' on the screen. Thing is, there is no password. Empty doesn't work, any password from any of the accounts don't work, and I never even set a password.
While I realize this may be solved by formatting the device (I do have full access to the recovery), the data on the tablet is very important and unfortunately, only copy, so I'd like to extract it before I go ahead and evaporate the OS. Is there any way to do this?
- Recovery is stock
- Vol up + power gives me android logo with FTM in the middle
- No matter how I connect it to pc ('enter password' mode, FTM mode, recovery) PC doesn't see it as a device and I can't access files
Thank you for taking time to read this,
Have a great day!

Question Trying to recover OnePlus 9R LE2100 after Android 12 update

I did the infamous update to Android 12 yesterday and this morning tinkering with the new settings I accidentally blocked myself out of my phone.
Before testing yourself I want to give a warning to not you bother to try this setting on, just in case the same thing happens to any of you: it was a setting called "Quickly unlock screen without password" or something like that, it was in Settings > Privacy & Security > Lock screen Password. If anyone that still has the Android 12 update installed would be so kind to share some screenshots of those steps I could tell right away which option was the one I activated, since I can't even access my phone anymore...
Don't know why, but it seems that with this option the system just tries to fill the password but it always fails and it just keeps vibrating forever and can't do anything at all. The only time it stops is after rebooting into the SIM unlock prompt, but after unlocking the SIM it starts vibrating again and can't even input my password.
After this now I'm trying to recover all my stuff from my phone before doing a factory reset, which seem inevitable at this point. I have tried to access mass storage from Recovery Menu but it doesn't seem to be recognized by my PC. I have seen that OnePlus devices have different recovery menus, this one has a menu with four options (Format data, Reboot device, Power off and Advanced) and at the bottom it says "Ver 1.2", which tapping on it twice gives a message telling to go into Download Mode, but it doesn't seem to do anything aside from rebooting.
Also tried to go into Fastboot from the recovery menu (Advanced > Reboot into Fastboot mode) but it just shuts down instantly after the Fastboot logo shows up.
So, please, could anyone give some advice here? I'm pretty much lost at this point and I don't want to factory reset right away just yet. Any help will be appreciated.
are you able to fix your phone?

Xaiomi Mi Note 10 Lite Stuck on boot screen

Hi this is my first time with this site and I have read a lot of people getting help and have their problems resolved via asking. ( please go easy on me for English is not my first language just tell me if you do not understand or if I have some errors so I can clear it at least. Thanks in advance)
So I have a Xaiomi Mi Note 10 Lite and I have this device for about 2 years now. So I was using my phone when suddenly the Camera stopped working - this was a usual issue and my usual fix was to restart the device.
I restarted my device and it got stuck in the bootscreen with the Mi logo - I have pressed/hold the power button multiple times but the it just go blank for about 1-3 seconds then goes back to the Mi with the android logo at the bottom and just stays there.
I can access fastboot but I cannot access Bootmenu for Safeboot/Recoverymode/factory reset, if I try and press the volume up + power button it just goes back to the Mi Boot screen.
I tried using adb to unlock the bootloader but it is giving me an error: Token verifiy Failed Reboot-devices time 00.16s and the phone screen goes blank for about half a second before it goes back to FASTBOOT screen
I tried using MiFlash and it is also getting me an error I presume it is because it is not bootloader unlocked - the error is Error:Failed (remote:Erase is not allowed in lock state).
I also have tried using multiple versions of Mi Unlock - and I get this error.
Please add your account to MIUI settings > developer options > Mi unlock status
or Please enable USB debugging in developer before unlocking.
Once again I cannot access usb debugging for I am stuck in the boot screen and also I cannot go to the Bootmenu.
I have read a lot of discussion with similar issue here and I have tried all of the methods they gave.
Is there any other way I can unlock the bootloader?
or what other fixes I can try. I assume this is a softbrick? I am sorry I don't have any clues when it comes to these type of devices.
I would like to try some other methods before I proceed to a service center, even though I have been trying for this one for about a day now.
Any answers and reply will be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
