I have a tablet, purchased off aliexpress that I would like to setup a custom rom for.
Mainly i am looking to be able to keep the OS up to date to some extent, and if possible enable the multiple users functionality

Download antutu and confirm this but your tablet doea not have 12gb of ram or an sd 870. I think you will find it has an arm cpu and a mali gpu.

Please try to get a refund for your device. It almost certainly does not have the specifications listed. Many of these fake it, and actually use old RockChip/MediaTek CPUs. The YouTuber SMOOREZ buys phones and tablets like this, and they often have as little as 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM and MT6580. Some have fake cameras and batteries that only last 2 hours. Sorry

Try disassembling it most have stickers of the real specifications inside and if not you can see the labels on chips

Snapdragon 870 with Mali-T860 graphics and LPDDR3 single channel memory? It should be adreno 650 integrated graphics with LPDDR4 or LPDDR5 memory. Not to mention rest...

@hikarukaoru, the rest of crowd is correct. No way this is a Snapdragon Pad. I got a same model from a different seller, and immediately realize it’s a scam/fraud after receiving by hands.
OK, I also got scammed... currently disputing the charge with my Credit Card Company.
The Vendor installed Android 8 and was able to fill in the info within the settings of the Tablet, so if you look at the specs it will say SD870, 12GB of RAM, etc...
BUT when you install thrid party software to verify the specs, many of them just pull the info that is written within the settings but some of them actually show the actual CPU, total RAM and correct version of Android.
1st of all I recieved a 10.1" (not 11"), with a MT8750, 3GB of RAM and it does have a 512GB harddrive and it is running Android 8 (not Android 11).
This is a total scam. I even ran GeekBench 6 and got scores of about 175 for single (should be over 1,000 if it really was SD870).

Install CPU Identifier to check the real parameters of your tablet.
CPU-Z can also check you that but need to click on the CPU-Z online validation.
There you will see the real parameters of this fake tablet.
I bought two of these. If you made an unpacking video then you get full refund.
I knew this tablet wasn't real since it costed around 150 usd. Just ordered those 2 pieces for colleagues that wanted just to watch youtube videos.

Four, if you count the GPU, which is also a processor. There's no average speed: It is what they say it is. A system with processor, DSP, GPU and cellphone chipset. If you want to know the processor speed, look at that. If you want to know how capable the GPU is, look that up. The DSP and cellphone chipset and their speed is rarely of interest to consumers, that's why that information is rarely provided, but all smartphones have both (although they may sometimes on the same die as the CPU)...

Hey I got this Hipstreet Aurora 2 tablet for really cheap on sale for almost 40 bucks (Priced at 140$). I am looking to root this 7 inch tablet but I cant really find anything to go with.

So i wanted to get my kids a budget tablet for christmas, but not junk. Something that would be ok. Now for me Android needs atleast 2gb RAM. All of the devices i have tried with 1GB of RAM are slow as hell.

It as 10 Go and is ok for its spec. But i know from my own experiences tinkering with Dev options and Build prop etc, different Firmware I know it can be made smoother. It has the full google suite for starters...
