Question Sim for voice and e-Sim for data? - Google Pixel 6

Hi all,
I'm gonna buy an e-Sim, never had one before.
Wondering if, while waiting for my phone number to be moved to the new company E-Sim, if I can set voice calls to Sim and mobile data internet to E-Sim.
Thanks!

Your knowledge about esims is totally wrong they are not what u think about them esim is inbuilt in new smartphones which prevents the use of physical sim card and u can use multiple esims in one device like profiles they just need one time setup

Thanks for your answer.
I don't have knowledge about esims, and that's why I asked esperts.
In any case, I know about profile, multiple profiles (and one profile at a time use on certain devices), my question was a little bit different.
When I had a dual sim phone, I set the first sim for voice and messages and the second sim for mobile data. Second sim had a much better signal and many more Gb plan.
Now I have Pixel6, I have a phisical sim (and my phone numer on it)m and I'm going to buy an e-sim from a different operator. They'll give me unlimited GB, so I thouhgt, while waiting for the old phone number to be transfered on the new e-sim, to use the esim profile for mobile internet data only.
Basically: voice calls: sim 1 (physical sim)
messages: sim 1
Mobile internet data: sim2 (e-sim).
That's what I was asking, is it possible?

Yea everything is possible

U can do it

i am using a esim for voice and a sim for data.
and it pisses me off that i can not talk and surf at the same time.
for me the voice cannot be active and have the data in use at the same time

Is it activated

Strange, my wife is using a P6 with voice on e-SIM and data on physical SIM. So it's possible.

Subscription associated SIM

Some European providers offer another ( a 2nd) SIM card associated to the primary subscription for use only with internet. It means a second SIM to use for data transfer.
will that be helpful for the Gear S or just add another SIM with another number to use with voice?
when not connected through BT to the phone, but is connected wireless, what type of connection does the watch use? data or voice?

It's better to have the voice and data because it will have a number anyway so why not but if you don't care to forward your calls to the watch or don't plan to use the watch standalone number then by all means data only if the data plan is right for you ie unlimited or more than 200MB per month

Will a dual sim S7 do what I'm hoping for?

I want to use my first sim for 3g texting and calls and 4g texting and calls (something a few operators in the uk are doing now).
I want to use my second sim for 3g data and 4g data for google maps, browsing and whatsapp (4g coverage isnt amazing in the uk)
I still want to use the first sim for 3g and 4g data but only when I can't get signal with the second sim, but I want it to signify it's doing so or to ask for permission.
I still want to receive calls and texts on the second sim using either the 3g or 4g network, depending on what is in range. I still want to make calls and send texts from the second sim, but only to contacts who are saved under that particular sim, and not very often.
If someone is saved under the contact of sim 1 or 2, I don't want it to message or calls them from the other sim without consent.
When i'm browsing I still want to be able to receive calls and texts on either sim, interrupting the browsing if necessary.
Is this something I'll be able to do easily without having to constantly switch the settings of the sim cards or the settings of the phone?
The thing if I've ordered one but I haven't opened it yet. I was hoping to make sure that it works the way I was hoping it works before opening it, or if I should just return it.

Using data on 4G along with attending a call (2G/3G) on the other SIM

Hi,
I intend to know if it is possible to use data on 4G along with attending a call (2G/3G) on the other SIM on the Xiaomi POCO F1.
For instance, I'm using 2 SIM cards, 1 is a 2G/3G BSNL, and the other carrier is (Yes, you guessed it right) Jio, which works only on 4G network and VOLTE.
I want to know if it is possible to somehow keep using internet data on JIO, even if I receive a call/SMS on the other SIM, without a network disconnection in between. I've tried to tweak some settings, to achieve this, but couldn't find a way. Searched on Google as well, but no help. For Most of them, Dual LTE works fine. But no one mentioned about a combination of 2G and 4G. So, if someone has been successful in achieving this, please share your settings and screenshots if possible. Also, I'd like to know if there is some work around if the phone doesn't support this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

I just tried that and no u can't.
If both Sims are volte then probably u can.

Why can't I send SMS messages, or get cellular data?

Trying to use my new Poco.
I have a dual sim set up, both sims are switched on. But I fail to send SMS messages (But I can receive them)
Also I can't get any cellular data.
Do I have to activate something?
My sims work fine in my old phone.
Please help other wise this phone is useless as it is.
Try different sims on your Poco. If they work, it's your sim cards otherwise RMA your phone.
Copy the access point name APN from your old phone. You will find it under network settings / data or similar. The APN will probably include the name of your service provider. Then transfer to your new phone.
Thanks
My sim card wasn't that old, but I tried a new one and it's fine now

Question Samsung S22+ dual sim data available to the second sim as data

I have an S22+ and I have 2 sim cards (esim from Freedom Canada) and a physical sim with Mint mobile.
Also I have wifi calling enabled on both cards.
Is there a way to make data available from the physical sim to the esim as data so Freedom Mobile can registered as wifi calling
using Data from Mint. Like that I can completely disable roaming from my Freedom account
I have not seen any settings for something like that in the sim manager and I was wondering if there any any adb command
I am not aware of such possibility, sorry.
