Question Disable reverse portrait (180 degrees) rotation - Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

Hi, since i use my tab only on bed, is there a way to prevent only 180 degrees screen rotation, keeping auto rotation active? In A7 Lite screen rotates in every direction, also in reverse portait....
The only way seems to be disabling auto rotation or using manual rotation (icon on navigation bar). In many ROMS there is an option that let user choose witch rotations are allowed, and i usually simply untick 180 degrees....
Thanls!!!

[Q] Matchblue software screen rotation

Hi
I've a french phone provider (orange) giving us a TV player named Matchblue.
The picture is always displayed in landscape orientation, but in the bad one because volume buttons are at bottom. Impossible to access them when I put the phone on a table. I want a 180° screen rotation. I've tried lot of screen rotation soft but none of them works.
Any idea to force the screen rotation ?
Thank you for help.
Check in the app itself if there is a setting menu giving You the choice which side to rotate or maybe there is an xml-file for this app whre You can change rotation or best: ask the support-team for this app

[Q] default orientation auto?

I been reading people talking about the default orientation change, to that of the portrait view, but can this be set to sensor, so that whatever way you turn the phone, the lock screen changes to that orientation, whether it be landscape or portrait?
The stock lock screen does not change orientation even if the auto setting is on. There are several lock screen apps that have additional settings and features.
Nevermind, is there any lock screen apps where you can still use the pattern lock? Cause all the ones I tried you couldnt
I second the notion. I would love an app that allows me to lock the screen in the orientation it's currently in.
And the same app, or another app, doesnt matter to me which, has the lock screen come up in the orientation the phone is in.
Edit::: been tinkering with it this morning and now I can't get the darn thing into landscape mode at all..... any ideas
Yeah its strange how the lock screen is locked to a certain orientation. And I have no ideas how to change the orientation. Sorry mate. Another's thing that is strange is why doesn't the streak rotate 360 degree, never understood why it doesn't do upside down portrait.
Maybe the launcher has something to do with it because I have a live physics wallpaper that does follow the rotation 360 degrees.
Also I will mention that when I use ADW Launcher EX I can lock my orientation in whatever orientation it's in when I switch off auto rotate
Sent from my Dell Streak using Tapatalk
Yeah I have my phone locked to landscape in adw, but only because the lock screen is locked to landscape, I would just like both to be changeable, with rotation of the phone.

[Q] Camera allignment problem

Whenever I use the Camera Button on my Xperia P to take a quickshot in standby mode the phone switches on the camera after a secong or so. But the camera image is actually tilted by 90 degrees to the horizontal. (Please check the attached picture)
Could it be a setting that needs to be corrected to adjust it? Or is my phone at fault?
do you use auto rotation or did you disable it?

If what you are referring to is the Auto Rotate Screen option in the Settings section then yes I have it enabled (ticked). Just tried unticking it. Doesnt solve it either.

[Q] Screen Rotation during Games

I don't believe I've seen this addressed but if so, my apologies.
I'm having an issue typically with games in landscape mode. The screen will invert and when I rotate the tablet 180 degrees to get it right, it'll immediately rotate and flip upside-down again. I've played with preventing auto rotation and forcing it to only use landscape, but it still gives me issues. This is with games in both the stock Kindle OS as well as with a separate launcher in the flashable GAPPS environment.
Anyone else having this issue or have a fix?
Thanks
Actually just saw this being talked about in the "[ROM] thor-gapps-rom" discussion under the development forum.

Try "Smart Rotator" app, and/or lock the screen orientation using the notification toolbar BEFORE you run the game.

Locking the screen by the notification bar does not work in some cases.
Best way is to use an app called ADAPTIVE ROTATION LOCK, it has an adaptive mode whenever the screen change the orientation, a small button appears and the screen orientation only changes when you hit the button or else it will go away.
The app has a pro version in which allow you to set the default orientation PER APP, I set all my games to Landscape and it works flawlessly.

Fully rotate (home) screen 90 degrees

hello everyone,
I'm having a problem with the rotation of my android device and I was hoping if anyone could help me with this.
to give some backstory, I'm trying to create a magic mirror using a MK809 III B Quad-Core android stick, which uses android 4.4.2
the stick is used with a computer monitor (Samsung Syncmaster 205BW), but the monitor will be used vertically. (I'm using a HDMI>DVI-D adapter to connect the two)
because of this, I need to have the screen rotated 90 degrees in portrait mode, and android does allow you to change the rotation of the screen, but it doesn't do it well.
normally the rotation is set to landscape, but you've the option of setting the rotation of the screen, but if I set the rotation to 90 degrees, rather than actually rotating the screen with 90 degrees, it rather pushes a vertical screen in landscape mode, thus cutting off half of the screen.
so far I've tried apps such as Ultimate Rotation Control, but those do not actually rotate the screen, rather they just lock the rotation.
my question now is if anyone can help me with this problem, or tell me if it's even possible to do the thing I'm trying to do.
Any Luck?
I'm having the exact same problem with APQ8084 SOM running android 5.0.2 outputting to HDMI monitor (no accelerometer).
You would think this would be an easy problem to solve.
If I put my Winodws 10 Monitor in portrait mode, it correctly rotates screen 90 degrees end of story.
As Yusunoha mentioned, changing the user rotation in Android (via several methods):
1. using the "settings put system user_rotation 0/1/2/3"
2. modifying PhoneWindowManager.java to always return preferred rotation as "portrait"
3. Setting "persist.panel.orientation=90/270"
Does NOT result in screen rotating 90 degrees.
Instead I get a compressed portrait mode stuck inside my landscape orientation.
It's almost as if the accelerometer (which I don't have) is telling the OS to always orient towards it's perceived gravity.
Any tips rotating the entire Android Display experience (not on a per APK basis) would be wonderful.
Anyone have any ideas?

Found any solution? Even with my rooted device and these settings it won't work. Also using usb c > hdmi > vga.
