[Q] Typical CPU temperature for Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition)?

I noticed that my refurbished Note tends to get really warm, so I installed the System Tuner app to check the tablet's CPU temperature. It turns out that the Note's CPU temperature idles at ~50C and goes well into the 70s under moderate use (internet, facebook, etc). Is this something I should be worrying about? I only got this Note today so I can easily get it replaced, but I only want to do so if this is out of the ordinary. What're the typical operating temperatures for the Galaxy Note, and should I be worried that mine gets so hot?

Operating temps for Z5C and battery

As a new owner of the Z5C (rly impressed so far ) I couldn't help but notice the heat, courtesy of the SD810 I assume.
So i've started monitoring the temps for the past few days with CPU-Z and Cpu Temperature.
For the most part while doing everyday tasks such as phone calls, news, music, Whatsapp and so on the temperature is around 30-40ish which seems reasonable and causes no concern.
Whilst doing something more intense such as running a game, installing/updating app, or recording video the temperature jumps to around 45-60 which again seems reasonable.
There are sudden momentary (2 second) spikes to 70's 80's usually while doing heavy R/W tasks such as installing an app.
Battery temps usually hover around high 20's to mid 30's whilst doing normal tasks and during more intense tasks can jump up to around 40ish.
I was wondering if other users here who also bothered to monitor their thermals are experiencing similar results or not?
Also am curious to know if someone knows what the msm_thresh threshold is for the Z5C i've noticed mine topping at around 41..
Thanks
I have been getting pretty much similar results, albeit a bit lower temps due to disabling a few cores. Those temps are perfectly fine, as long as the battery dosen't get to the high 40's. The throttling stats when the battery reaches 43°C and clears when it get down to 41°C, you can find the throttling thresholds in the file called thermal-engine.conf located in /system/etc/

My poco f1 shows Battery temp below 45 degrees and cpu Temp reaching 93 degree centig

My poco f1 shows Battery temp below 45 degrees and cpu Temp reaching 93 degree centigrades in antutu testing is it ok or this is worrying?
If it's momentarily, it shouldn't be a problem. If you feel the phone is hot in your hand, it also shouldn't be a problem short-term. If the phone is hot most of time when idling or doing non-intensive task, then you should worry.
My previous samsung 2012 phone could take temperatures up to 60°C for battery and 120°C for CPU. If it reached that temperature, the phone would automatically power off. Even at 80°C it began to throttle the device and tried to cool it down. I imagine something similar is implemented for this phone (though I haven't confirmed it).
every time during testing it reaches that temperature for a few seconds and then comes down .this happens for at least 7-8 times during a single antutu benchmark testing.

Heating or throttling related issue

I was using Havoc OS with derp kernels for quite a long time, and used to play PUBG alot , so recently from past few weeks cpu temperature is reaching about 60°c (Maybe because of summer season) and then cpu starts to throttle.
Then I recently switched to Oxygen OS and when my temperature reaches 60°c something ,it doesn't throttle. (Maybe because oos uses different thermal profile)
So my questions are :
1. If it doesn't throttle above 60°c then could it harm my device?
2. What's the highest maximum temperature which wouldn't harm my device?
On Maximum 48-50 Degree Can Harm Your Device Chipset.
If You are on Latest OOS 25Build.
Then Install BuildProp Editor and Change The Value Stock Thermals False To True.
Reboot To Apply.
60 C Can Damage Your Device.
Smartphones Are Automatically Switch off When Reached to maximium Temperature 50-50.

I have changed my rom to Pixel Experience, & now the temperature is just between 45-55 while playing games, but most of the time temperature was around 50°c . I think the problem was because of kernel or rom. Don't know the exact reason.

Flash Stock ROM Latest Version Then Check.
It's Not Normal.
Till Then Don't play the Games.
I also Facing same issue while playing games 44-46.
I think problem related to latest vendor.

I switched to miui , not doing any heavy or performance requiring task, still this temperature.
P.s: I have applied Gadgeshildz skin on my Poco,do u think this could be the reason?

I didn't think the skin causing that issue.
Hello Bro This is CPU Temperature CPU Has a Limit to of 70-100 max .
This is Normal.
That is Thermal Profile.
If The Temperature Reach That Limit it Will Decrease The Performance.
Check Your Battery Temperature.
Check This.
This is mine.
In oxygen OS with Stock Kernel.

I didn't understand your point.
Why is it normal? Temperature is reaching above 55°c which isn't normal.
Btw when I play pubg, battery temperature reaches to 46°c but when I took screen shot temperature was 40°c.
If battery temperature Reached to 47-55 degree that's not normal.
Your SS Shows thermal profile temperature not the CPU temperature.
CPU and GPU are components inside your phone and they heat from 40 -80 degree Celsius pretty fast in every phone. They can handle upto

As you can read in op ,I was talking about CPU temperature from starting. So when I play pubg and temperature reaches to 55°c so it's Safe? I got confused.

Cpu temperature is Normal 40-80 degree.
Bro it's normal.
I am talking about battery temperature.
Working temps in heavy workloads (Games, YouTube, Split-screen/Dual screen, etc.) is around 60°c and it is quite normal but above 75°c thats when you expect damage to the system. According to other XDA Thread, https://www.xda-developers.com/processor-temperature-results-for-tens-of-socs-how-hot-is-your-chip/ Maximum Temperature recorded on a Qualcomm Device (It uses MSM8225Q Chipset) is 63.88°c
Expect Qualcomm that makes powerful and energy efficient SOCs even operating in high temperatures.

So that means i shouldn't worry about below 60°c cpu temperature while playing game in hot environmen ( around 40°c)

Its fine. Just don't let it work around 70°c above.

If he uses the default thermal profile, he won't reach above 70, well it shouldn't as the phone will throttle. That's the whole idea of throttling, to lower the temperatures to protect the CPU or GPU from any damage. Also, even if you reach a higher temperature then 70, at one point, the phone will switch off in order to protect itself from any damage. Well, in most cases.

Btw every custom rom has its own throttling points for example :
Havoc os start to Throttle around 53°c
Whereas pixel experience throttles about 57_58°c
But in miui cpu temp reached above 60°c for few seconds still it doesn't throttle.

Poco doesn't have automatic shutdown when overheating, but just a overheating notification. (Like in S10+) But maybe in a certain temperature, Poco has a built-in safety switch to automatically shutdown the device to prevent possible damage

Even the old Redmi note 4 had that switch, so i'm pretty sure they have it in Poco too.
My temps used to hover around 32*c back then before the MIUI Global Beta 10 9.3.28 came out. I forgot which beta version I was in. I was all stock with no root. While gaming, my temps would go as much as 37*c but never more than it.
Right now, I've tried MIUI EU and Global Beta and most of the time, my normal temps are around 38*c.

Performance Throttling Overheating Device Temperature

The lower scored benchmark is at from idle of around 40C (CPU temp) while the phone is in the room. The higher scored is when I placed my phone in the freezer and let it cool down to around 28C (CPU temp).
Why is the phone so hot even at idle? Do you r phones go as high? What are your ambient temperatures? I'm in a tropical country and it is around 29C here right now.
The battery temp is only a degree or two lower than the CPU. It's terrible for the battery to be at this temperature.
Mine is around 36 C after 30 min of browsing . inside room temp is around 22 C.
Yeah, Mine also get so hot like 40 -45 like your after 20min of used.
But our Poco got cooling system right, then why like that?
My previous Moto z play was not like that ?, It was only heat while charging because of rapid charge.
It's coz of that garbage of IU called MiUI. Every update it screwed something.

Looking at OP's screenshots, i don't think he's been using MIUI..

Mine is sitting at 31.0 degree celcius. Could be that you have many things going in your background?
