- I545_OC1_Batch_DeBloater
- debloat.zip by @klabit87 for Linux & Mac Users
Instructions:
1. Extract the I545_OC1_Batch_DeBloater folder onto your desktop.
2. Turn on USB Debugging from Developer Options and connect your device to your *PC.
3. Double-click DeBloater.bat to launch the program.
4. Select "Light," "Medium," or "Extreme" **debloating and press Enter.
5. Grant Root Access if prompted by your device and press Enter to begin.
6. Once complete press Enter to return to the Main Menu and select ***Reboot Device.
7. Last, select Exit from the main menu to end your session. Done!
* Make certain that you have Samsung Drivers installed.
** Use notepad++ or other text editor to view/edit the lists of removed apps in DeBloater.bat file.
*** It is normal for apps to begin force closing prior to rebooting your device.

Correct, windows only.
worked great for me. using the extreme option (cuz 90s kid) left only s memo and s voice as far as any real bloatware. so much easier than using titanium backup and having to go through stuff. thanks for this, muniz

Just sent script to muniz_ri for approval for Linux and probably Mac users.
Tested adb functions and everything works on Ubuntu 14.04

Muniz I ran the batch file and it worked great getting rid of all that bloat. Thank you very much. One thing that surprised me though is that I went from 5.15GB of used internal storage to 4.98GB after debloating and that's after running CCleaner to get rid of any left over junk. I was expecting to gain more memory space considering how many apps were removed. Is this normal? Thanks

there's three settings in the batch script. which one did you use?
also, the bloat apps aren't really that big, they're all near the 10-20mb or less ballpark. accumulating 20 of them up probably frees up like maybe 100-200 mb of space. this is of course wild speculation as I usually make but still, something to consider

Thanks for getting back. I used extreme setting. I guess the files are not as large as I thought. I may not have gained much memory space but at least the bloat is gone.
I gave adb root permissions through SuperSU, ran this (slightly customized extreme, I kept Hangouts), and verified that the folders have been removed. After doing that, many of the apps I still had to manually uninstall (is that normal?), and some I'm not sure if I even can remove some (I just have a disable option).
I know you guys know better than I, but is simply removing these directories from /system/app enough to uninstall the applications?

Someone needs to capture the ota so that a pre-rooted ROM can be created.
this works on of1, using the same instructions.
it seems samsung gave up on Story Album because both story album related apps were apparently not present, according to the debloater tool. hooray for removed bloat!

I'm a programmer (in college, mostly C & C++), but my knowledge of android is limited to rooting my S4 and other stuff I've gleaned while lurking on xda.
A quick search for how to capture an ota seems that it's not terribly difficult to do. ex http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589754
Is my impression (capturing ota update is not hard) correct? If so, why hasn't it been done? If the answers to those questions are "Yes" and "No good reason," respectively, I might be able to donate some of my time to do it. Would that be useful?

Open the .bat file and you can read it all to see.

You may have deleted adb.exe from the extracted folder (maybe you havent extracted all the files), you must have the 4 files included at zip:
adb.exe
AdbWinApi.dll
AdbWinUsbApi.dll
Debloater.bat

All the time I try to delete a bloated app it returns. I managed to freeze the app but that's not the right way. Sometime I have problems with the gallery even if I have quick pic. I can't freeze the gallery because if I try to upload a pic in a social app like badoo it just does nothing. I have to go to twrp and clean the cache all the time

Try adb
Connect phone to laptop or pc (you must have adb fastboot on it)
Open cmd (press shift then right click on adb folder choice open command prompt)
Type adb shell
Then type pm list package | grep huawei (or google or app name). It will show all package app you find.
Then type pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.huawei.xxx (it it package name show from command above)
It will remove any app you want (you can try on rooted or no root device. With no root device, you can still install ota when have)

I've successfully removed all miui and android bloat with the ADB tool, which is fantastic without root.
But I cannot remove the Facemoji keyboard from Xiaomi. It gives failure -1000.
Any idea what it means?
I also tried using the hidden menus for miui app in the play store but also there the uninstall is 'unsuccessful'.
Is there any way to remove it still, without rooting the phone ?

An IME is installed as a system-app and/or system-privileged-app, means you need root rights to uninstall it.
You will need root for this method:-
1) Disable it using adb shell:
pm disable-user com.facemoji.lite.xiaomi
2) Next, use a root file manager app (I used Fx), and navigate to System(Root)/data/app/ and find facemoji package. Verify by opening the folder and checking if base.apk exists in the folder. Delete this package folder.
3) Reboot.

Can you please confirm that root access is required to uninstall Facemoji Emoji Keyboard for Xiaomi? I tried using adb commands and Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tool but it didn't work. Any help is very much appreciated.

I just encountered some suspicious behavior on my phone, and I suspect some kind of malware / rootkit.
Background Information
After I accidentally deleted some pictures, I've installed EaseUS MobiSaver to try to recover those.
The scan for deleted files found some of my lost pictures, but also quite some more!
Turns out there are dozens of pictures, respectively screenshots of very random screens like, setting up my clock, browser pages, browsing files, watching YT or VLC, opened apps and so on.
I've attached some of those below.
At first I thought those images are just some kind of framebuffer leftovers or something like that. But then I found that "rootSU.png" image which is baffeling.
Kaspersky, Sophos and Malewarebytes do not find any hints of a infection.
As for my phone / environment
Pocophone F1
PixelExperience 10.0
NoGravityKernel 1.4
Magisk 20.4
So for now my phone is offline, and I would like to investigate what's going on there.
Is there any way to scan the system from external over adb or something?

Can it be you've run XIAOMI ROOT tool?
BTW, with regards to ADB: If your device is rooted, then install Termux: Termux is a free and open code app that simulates the command shell used in Linux. By doing so, you can introduce all the usual commands and work comfortably from your Android device - you don't need ADB.

No, did not use any XIAOMI Root-tool. Rooting was done via Magisk.
But termux could give me some insight. :good:
Well, despite those suspicious files, I was not able to identify any odd behaving processes.
I guess it's time to wipe and reinstall.

Yes, of course! Go to your platform tools folder (Download them if you need them) and type in:
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.samsung.android.messaging

gos always reinstalls itself. The only way to remove it is the root method: Go to your root explorer and find the app's folder in /system/priv-app and delete the folder
Hey, great script! However, I found out I needed Android SIM Toolkit after I ran the script. Do you know a way to recover/ reinstall it? or "undo" the script somehow? Thanks!

open cmd in the folder of the debloat script (the folder with all the files: adb, debloat.bat etc.) and type in:
adb shell pm install-existing com.android.stk
or with a dual sim:
adb shell pm install-existing com.android.stk
adb shell pm install-existing com.android.stk2

FYI: I had Vanced YouTube installed and it was removed by the script. At the end I had no YouTube at all.
Also, I was somewhat surprised that you decided to remove Google Maps as well, as bloatware. Anyways, I've reinstalled both Vanced YouTube and Maps, no big deal.
Thanks for the script, you saved my some headache! I actually tried uninstalling all Facebook components using System Apps Uninstaller (root) and I ended up reflashing the firmware through Odin, as the phone got stuck on boot loops after "successfully" uninstalling them.

Could you please post a complete list of items included in the package (to be removed)?
The script had a tremendous effect on battery and I'm curious to review the main offenders (I highly suspect it to be Google telemetry, but I'd like to know specifics).

Nice to hear that it worked for you!
If you want a full list you can just look into the script as I don't remember. I know that it almost completely removes google spying, facebook trash, samsung knox bloatware and other country based bloat.
