Both phones are same model from what I can see in system info, i am located in Canada and so the canadian one got updated to Android 12 but not the US one which I bought from amazon
Is it possible to backup the complete rom and put that on the US phone?
Both phones are rooted but I dont want to brick them by doing something silly... and I dont have much experience with roms...

Thanks, I was able to do it. The only thing left for me to fix is the NT-Code warning screen that pops up when I boot my phone. I read that I would need to edit the "PDM" with correct values but I dont have this option in LGUP.

*** edit: I found on some reddit post that we could Hex Edit the ftm.bin file to change the NT Code at position 00014000
I simply overwrite from that position (it was all 0s) the value for OPEN_CA: "1","FFF,FFF,FFFFFFFF,FFFFFFFF,82"
the NT code message is now gone!

No problem. I was never able to get ride of the NT-code but will definitely try when I get home. Do you need help with enabling VoLTE and VoWifi?

Hi! I'm trying to make my own boot animation (A simple android kitkat logo), but when I put it in /system/media/bootanimation.zip and reboot the phone, it goes to black screen.
I followed the steps described in that guide and read that post, but they didn't share the solution and the mediafire link is dead.
Can anyone help? I'm attaching my current bootanimation.zip

Does anyone have same problem with my z4 tablet?
I unlocked bootloader and rooted it.
I tried to use wireless display function but I can't find the "three dot icon".
On the other tablet, I can find it and I can find wireless things after I check the box called "Using Wireless Display".
Even if I tried edit a build.prop, there's no changes.
Is a problem of Mashmallow?
If anyone unlocked bootloader and rooted and wiressless display function is working, please give me some information about your settings, build.prop or which rom you are using.

Hi, my question isn't relevant to your post but I'd like to ask you about this tablet as I am going to purchase it and it seems that the z4 forum isn't very activ.
Do you still have overheating issues after the update to marshmallow? How is battery life (screen in time)? Do you have any other annoying issues with your tablet other than screen mirroring ?

Hi Mongla
I suspect that you may have lost the Sony proprietary features (including screen mirroring) when you did your bootloader and root process. It might be good to take a look at a note posted on the Forum which goes into very detailed way of unlocking the bootloader and rooting the tablet without losing the PA partition (which contains specific Sony functions) . Please check the link here:

to see if you have followed this process correctly. I hope that this is helpful and understanding why you might have lost certain functionality of your tablet. Hopefully you are able to recover the proprietary functions somehow. Interestingly in the above thread there is a post in the comments section about recovering DRM keys should you have accidentally deleted them during unlocking of the bootloader.

So i wanted to install android jellybean on my lg p710 phone. I found random jellybean firmware on the web, and tried to install it, but the installation stopped at 4%. When i tried to reboot it, this weird blue screen showed up.

Sorry. I can longer assist you. I am not in this business anymore. I even sold the L7 II. If someone wants to continue the work i will make all research public and all the stuff I made and not released, after talking to @maxx_hr
EDIT: As I remember error 100 is related to not installing the c redistributable or smth like that. there is one more file (a msi) as i remember, that needs to be installed. Also run as Admin.

3 select date
4 repair or change flie system

1) Unlock phone's boot-loader, if not done yet
2) flash the ROM

I just got the Edge Plus (named that here in the US) Same phone as this, and mine is like this too, brand new out of the box like this.
Having the same issue, greyed out OEM unlock button.
Brand new, out of bocx.
Also when I go to the motorola site, it says not eligible to be unlocked, which is bizzare. Its fully unlocked!
My guess is it takes some time for the button to not be grey, according to what I read here.
Still need to try to get the code though from the moto site.
Fairly confident the Oem unlock button will be active in a few days.
Does anyone button greyed out get the Oem unlock code? I can't get that. Fully unlocked device.
ok was able to get the motorola unlock code, about 24 hours after I got the phone. Still, cant get the OEM unlock to toggle. Tried multiple reset options and nothing worked (sim, no sim, wifi, no wifi).
Did a factory reset and it worked!
