Question Audio doesn't work (speakers, microphone, bluetooth) - Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro

Hello, everyone
I'm trying to understand what's the problem with my mi pad 5 pro. There are a couple of problems which I'm trying to resolve.
First of all I can't install any firmware except V12.5.14.0.RKYCNXM. I was trying to install it using fastboot and recovery, official way. Everytime my tablet is freezed on miui logo and nothing more.
I don't know why but it works only on V12.5.14.0.RKYCNXM.
I also tried to install custom lineageOS 20.0 and it works but audio problem still exists.
The second problem is with audio. Everything is associated with audio (speakers, microphone, bluetooth) doesn't work. Recorder app crashes. Video in camera crashes. Video in browser is playing without sound. I can suppose that because of audio problem other firmwares can't be installed correctly.
I have some logs from tablet but google didn't help me with that

If you have some thought about it please respond me. Thanks in advance

Hello @Vlady_32
Try factory reset after flashing them. Your device should be able to flash all Stock ROM for your device model. IMO if the issue persists, you should return the device.
How could you install recovery ROM? Does elish have custom recovery like TWRP? I found only AOSP recovery for elish which cannot flash recovery Stock ROMs.

I've successfully installed the last version of DEV firmware MIUI V13.1.22.11.21.DEV using Magisc and three dots way. But audio still doesn't work and the same errors in the log
AudioSystem::listAudioPorts error -19

Got any leads on how to solve the issue? I'm facing this exact problem too

HTC Desire Wi-Fi Problem

Had a wi-fi problem on my htc desire for a while now..
One time I went to turn wi-fi on and it just said "Unable to start wi-fi". It had worked totally fine up until that point.
I've tried doing a factory reset, rooted, updated rom but it's still not working.
When the problem happened I had not rooted the phone or changed anything really.. it just happened.
In logcat it says:
flg=0x10200000 cmp=com.android.settings/.wifi.WifiSettings bnds=[124,404][236,531] }

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

seems like wlan.ko is not available in /system/lib/modules/
I've had similar problems in the past, but was unable to solve them. You can check several things though.
1) wlan.ko in /system/lib.modules <-- has to match up with the kernel that you are using
2) any entries for wifi and/or dhcp in the init.rc and init.devicenamehere.rc files that are in the ramdisk in the boot.img
3) wifi settings in the build.prop
4) files in /system/etc/wifi
5) I'm not sure about this one, but even some of the files in /system/etc/firmware might have something to do with wifi.
6) files in /system/etc/dhcpd
7) any files in /system/bin and/or /system/xbin that are called by *.rc from #2.
Just take a working ROM (stock is usually what I use), and compare the files with the corresponding files in your build. I use either WinMerge or N-way Folder Compare or just plain old 'diff' in Linux.
I had the same issue.
Flashed a new ROM with full wipe etc. Wifi OK.
Flashed a kernel update on top of the ROM. Wifi broken. Turning wifi on it would error and turn off again.
The only way I could fix it was to flash a full ROM and make sure I wiped everything from the recovery.
Any more info you can provide? Current ROM +version +any other mods applied like status bar or OC kernels?
Did anyone fix this?? I am stuck here, G1 Dream
CM 5.0.8 DS
Please help!!!
Are you getting the same error in logcat as others have? If so, I think .mak fixed it, but he never let us know how.
Same Issues...
Ive tried Reverting to CM 5.07, 5.07 and now the beta 6.0 and all have yet to fix the wifi issue. I also tried switching between the radio's and doing a full format/partition and wipe. Any fix to this yet?
That was Lovely Bro...Really Useful...I got my DESIRE today and could connect to WIFI but was unable to browse...This tip helped me...Thx a lot... Keep up the good work..
Trying to replace bcm4329.ko
I did the OTA update for my Desire today, and of course have the wi-fi problem.
However, when I enable wi-fi, I see the following appear at the end of dmesg:
Code:
<3>[ 8197.511535] bcm4329: version magic '2.6.32.15-g6a358a9 preempt mod_unload
ARMv7 ' should be '2.6.32.15-gf9c0527 preempt mod_unload ARMv7 '
The update zip (via thread 778852) contains a bsdiff patch file patch/system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko.p... and from some examination of that file it appears just to patch the vermagic field of the .ko file.
I tried to use a hex editor to 'fix' bcm4329 and used adb pull/push to replace it, but I get
Code:
failed to copy 'bcm4329.ko.fix' to '/system/lib/modules/bcm4329.ko': Read-only
file system
Can anyone help me with this?
Update: I am a fool. I was using the wrong goldcard! Once I put the right goldcard in, then sdcard:update.zip applied correctly and wi-fi started working again.
@dleonard, could you please make step by step instructions of how to fix this wifi issue?
thanks

[Q] ScreenshotClient error after upgrading to 4.3

Hi,
I developed a native process that uses ScreenshotClient to capture the device screen ( rooted devices only )
I have a loop where ScreenshotClient does update() every cycle. everything works well until 4.3.
when I run it on 4.3 the first call to update succeeds, but in the second call the call result is -2 , and I get these erros in logcat:
E/BufferQueue( 8166): [ScreenshotClient] connect: already connected (cur=1,req=1)
E/libEGL ( 2463): EGLNativeWindowType 0x4116d5f8 already connected to another API
E/libEGL ( 2463): eglCreateWindowSurface:376 error 300b (EGL_BAD_NATIVE_WINDOW)
E/SurfaceFlinger( 2463): captureScreenImplLocked: eglCreateWindowSurface() failed 0x300b
Any idea what changed in 4.3 that causes this, or what these errors mean.

Crash and reboot caused by wifi

My wifi is totally dead, phone took too much drops and even logcat shows "E/WifiStateMachine: Failed to load driver" when trying to activate it. I had CM11 official and i upgraded to CM12.1 thinking it would be a software problem, but i got the same behavior.
But things gone worse on CM12.1, there's a bug in Android 5 that crash the system if an invalid wifi config is found, so i can't put the phone in standby because it reboots, error:
Code:
E/wifi: error at line 318: android_net_wifi_getInterfaces null interface array
--------- beginning of crash
E/AndroidRuntime: *** FATAL EXCEPTION IN SYSTEM PROCESS: WifiStateMachine
I see there's a fix for a leaking wifi state in the official S2 CM12.1 thread but this isn't my situation, is there a way to completely disable wifi? I tried the build.prop trick (delete wifi.interface and another) but i still have the wifi button in the dropdown menu, and still reboots on standby. Any suggestion?

CM10, Lack of video decoders in live streams( blank screen with sound)

Dear All,
I have a problem with CyanogenMod's video decoders.
I use an app for watching live sport streams. It made by Octoshape team. It named Digiturkplay, you can find in play store.
When I open this app and open a channel, it shows blank screen and with sound.
I opened a request to octoshape support and they wanted logcats to figure what's going on. I attached below too.
The octoshape team member responded like below quote
I'm afraid it looks like CyanogenMod has modified the video decoder library which throws an error when trying to decode Digiturks streams causing the mediaplayer to give up.
The only possible fix here would be to have CyanogenMod correct their video decoder library to work with Digiturks encoding profiles (which works fine with stock firmware).

I tried several roms epinter's CM10 and another CM10 roms. Result is same.
I didn't try CM10.1 because it uses 3.1 kernel and it doesn't support hdmi , I use this device for hdmi.
I tried CM 7 based roms but it's useless because digiturkplay app doesn't support Android 2.X.X versions.
I searched a CM9 rom with hdmi support but there is no result.
Now I'm stuck. The device is useless for me.
If there is any way to rebuild the video decoders, please help me. I attached logcats.
Thank you for the efforts..
ps: I couldnt attached logcat, I'll find a way to upload soon

Mystery Lenovo K6 acting weird with stock firmware, need help

Hello,
I have recently purchased a refurb Lenovo K6, it came with an Android 6.0 rom.
Off the bat it had some weird reboots and app crashes, updating and system restore solved nothing; the problem worsened, so I ended up using the official Lenovo tools to perform a system recovery, which flashed a stock Nougat rom (K33_USR_S223_1706101140_Q00440_ROW).
This didn't stop sudden app crashes and system restarts however; even at initial system setup, many apps including Google Play Services would stop responding.
Since then I've lost count of re-flashes, data and cache wipes, permission resets etc. that I've performed.
I've attempted to root the phone with KingRoot in order to wipe the Dalvik Cache but could not complete the process.
I got plenty of logs via logcat, wish you could help me understand what's going on using them; here is a small one (Error level treshold) that I got, includes crashes of Firefox, Lenovo Launcher and I think Google Play Services.
pastebin. com/sZkDYPXi
I got other bigger ones, as well.
Mainly I notice a lot of "no such file or directory" errors, such as:
Code:
07-24 14:46:13.852 1447 1667 E QCOM PowerHAL: Error opening sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor: No such file or directory
and a lot of SELinux permission denials:
Code:
07-24 14:31:22.373 474 474 E SELinux : avc: denied { find } for service=android.hardware.fingerprint.IFingerprintDaemon pid=2905 uid=10112 scontext=u:r:untrusted_app:s0:c512,c768 tcontext=u:object_r:fingerprintd_service:s0 tclass=service_manager permissive=0
In another log with Warning treshold I was getting a lot of PackageManager warnings such as these:
Code:
07-22 19:34:36.255 5135 5135 W PackageManager: Not granting permission android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION to package com.skype.raider because it was previously installed without
Code:
07-22 19:31:12.912 1422 1595 W PackageManager: Permission com.google.android.googleapps.permission.GOOGLE_AUTH from package com.google.android.gsf in an unknown group android.permission-group.ACCOUNTS
I'd rather try to fix the problem myself if at all possible, rather than returning the phone...
Thanks a lot for your help.
I now suspect there has been a failed root attempt on this device, as many errors have to do with denied permissions.
Also I managed to get a new logcat from many Firefox/Google Play Services and a system reboot, and the following line appears:
Code:
07-24 19:12:21.346 10637 10647 F art : art/runtime/gc/collector/mark_sweep.cc:448] Attempting see if it's a bad root
Also firefox crashes report this:
Code:
07-24 19:10:16.979 6598 6954 E InputDispatcher: channel '28475f0 org.mozilla.firefox/org.mozilla.gecko.BrowserApp (server)' ~ Channel is unrecoverably broken and will be disposed!
and apparently can't read session files:
Code:
07-24 19:10:42.340 10412 10426 E GeckoApp: An error occurred during restore, switching to backup file
07-24 19:10:42.340 10412 10426 E GeckoApp: org.mozilla.gecko.GeckoApp$SessionRestoreException: Could not read from session file
and the backtrace reports failure of some sort with async threads...
I really am banging my head against a wall here :crying:
bumpity bump bump
