Why the monet (material you) theme not applying to phone app - Samsung Galaxy A50s Questions & Answers

Ive recently installed spark os gsi on my device with nikgapps basic, i faced some bugs and tried to fix and fixed some by searching, but then i opened phone app and saw theme is not applying to tha app.
I tried clearing cache, uninstall update, clear data, reboot, even get device certified assuming it would work then still no, hide magisk denylist, tried everything i could.
I am no devloper or know anything about coding so i am posting some ss just to clarify what i am facing
One screenshot is of message app, one of notification trey both showing the monet theme, and one of phone app which dont know why not have monet theme

[Q] Gapps missing from drawer in CM 7.2.0 FXP50. Any idea how to fix it?

I'm posting this here because i don't have posting rights in the dev section yet. I installed FXP50 yesterday on my NEO then installed the gapps package. Yet even though the apps appear in Settings-> Application they don't appear on my drawer and so i can't use them. I tried reinstalling the package, wiping data/cache and wiping market data but nothing worked. When i installed CM i was on CM7Xperia edition and not stock though i don't really think this has anything to do with that. Anything else i could try?
I got it fixed. Well i reinstalled the mod twice and the second time i tried setting up a Google account(which failed because of locked Wifi) and then skipping the step. I guess if you skip the step without trying to set up an account it's missing from the app drawer although i didn't try to replicate it.

[Q] Multi window NOT working!

Hi all,
so, I don't really use multiwindow that much but I tried using it yesterday and it didn't work; by "it didn't work" I mean that when I move an app from the sidebar to put it on one side of the screen, it just goes fullscreen. I tried with all of my apps and the same thing happened, they all go fullscreen not just middlescreen. I don't know for sure but I think something I flashed that day might have made it stop working. What I flashed was the Elegant Theme (that includes the jkay framework, the modded phone app and the theme itself) and also the CrossBreeder mod and installed the Greenify app. Before that day it was working as always.
My phone is on 4.1.2, the rom is Wanamlite V5.8 and the stock kernel that comes with it. I have wiped cache, dalvik cache and fixed permissions but nothing really did it.
Does anyone know what might have happened? Or if there is something I can do without re-flashing eeeeverything?
I really enjoy using multiwindow for multi tasking
Thank you very much if you can help me!

the jkay framework might have overwritten the multiwindow files. hence you can have a look in the mod (multiwindow) thread and download the version for jkay framework. flash it over it and you should be fine I guess.

Device rebooting sometimes on system startup (with kernel message).

It not happens always, but when it happens, it's always when the system is starting, when the apps are starting and being granted root permissions, etc. If I don't do anything, is fine, but If I unlock my screen while the apps are loading on startup and start to open some apps, it reboots(not always). I don't know If it overloads or something, but aLogcat doesn't record anything after the system reboots. I've already used Boot Manager to disable some apps from starting, but the problem persists. It's a Moto X 4.4.4 Stock and I never had this problem before. I belive t's a Xposed Module, but I want to know which one is. I've already did a factory reset, then rooted again, but the problem persists.(before I rooted I wasn't having this problem, this is why I believe it has to do with some Xposed Module or something related to root.)
PS: I will pay you 5 dollars(via Paypal) If you help me and find the problem (what's causing it) via these 2 logs. I know it isn't much, but I want to show some appreciation for helping me.
Here's the kernel message:

Here's another one that I got right after the reboot happened.(I've waited for the device to start, connected my device to USB, then went to adb and wrote # adb shell dmesg.

Thanks.

Try to uninstall the modules one by one and see which one is causing the problem. What are the modules that you installed as of this moment?
PS: If you're rooted try wiping cache + delvik cache in case you didn't do that.
I've already tried cleaning the cache. Xposed modules: ActivityForceNewTask, Complete Action Plus, GravityBox, Smooth System Progress Bar, Statusbar Scroll to Top, Statusbar Volume, TintedStatusBar, XBlast Tools.
Just happened again. Uploaded another kernel log .

Try uninstalling them all first and see what happens. Then install them one by one and check which one coincides with the others in order to see which one causes the problem.

Andromeda/substratum issues

Hello, I was trying to install some substratum themes specific to emui according to the ones that I downloaded from Play store, anyway, everything is good until starts to create layers, just shows the message about creating the layer, and the bar never advance, just keeps in the same point forever.
Does anyone know how to fix this?, I tried reverting back to stock theme (from themes) first and then trying to install from substratum, but didn't work.
Thanks in advance =)
up on this. Having same issue on honor play

Installation Instructions:
1. Install the Installer from the Play store.
2. Download the Magisk Module. Open Magisk > Go to Modules > Tap the + icon > Select the Module to flash > Reboot
3. Open the Installer > Run through the initial setup & Grant it Root Access
4. Select and install the Accent color & continue to install the overlays
5. Reboot once System prompts a reboot after it finishes installing the overlays.
6. Once you boot the installer will take a couple of minutes to verify the resources and finish installing overlays
7. Reboot again manually after a couple of minutes.
8. Boot up and Done, Enjoy the #FunkyOOSDarkside :good:
Uninstaller
Whenever you want to go stock, simply
1. Deactivate and uninstall the Magisk Module
2. Download the Pie Rescue Zip
3. Reboot to TWRP & Flash the Rescue Zip
4. Reboot System and the overlays should be all gone.
5. Uninstall the Installer app if you want to remove it completely.
Please Note:
* For your own safety, you must remove all overlays before performing any kind of software\firmware upgrade (device OTA, ROM flash, etc) as you can boot to an unusable system if you don’t uninstall all overlays first.
• Pie Magisk modules users: as you may know some modules can cause a conflict with the overlays and disable them after a reboot. You can now solve this by using the Installer with its Magisk module too. You can find the module here or in the “Downloads” section in Magisk Manager, and the Installer will install overlays systemlessly with it.
* When you swap to module mode, the Installer will attempt to convert all your current overlays to the systemless method. This conversion may fail if you currently have modules that are conflicting enabled, and the overlays will simply end up removed. Nothing to worry about - just reboot, reinstall all the overlays (it's super quick on Pie!), reboot again and you're good to go.
* Alternative scenario: the conversion fails and the overlays in system don’t end up removed either; you need to simply open up the Installer, select all in the Active tab, and Update tab, uninstall all the overlays and reboot. You also can, as another option, flash the Pie TWRP rescue zip you find up here. After this is done and you boot back, and making sure the module is enabled, you can simply reinstall everything, reboot, and done.
* Bonus for the Magisk module mode: if you need to disable all overlays for any reason, you can simply disable the module from Magisk Manager and reboot - overlays are gone!
• To make sure the theme works fine on OxygenOS, you MUST enable the native OxygenOS dark theme. You can do so from Settings > Display > Theme, and pick dark.
• Important notice about the System accent in OxygenOS: when you change the accent color in the Personalize tab and update the Android System overlay, the OxygenOS ROM will still keep the old SystemUI accent cached, and keep doing so even after a reboot. The way to make it update is: go to Settings > Display > Accent color; pick any random color (bonus: the bottom right accent will be changed to white, and you can pick it and keep it for Settings and SystemUI), apply it, then tap on Accent color again and pick the top left accent, which will be actually changed to the color you’ve selected in the Personalize tab of the Installer.
• The base of the overlays is currently a dark theme! White or any too light background can’t be input in the personalization tab, because it would end up making all the foreground elements, which are themed to be white or light grey, to get barely visible or invisible.
• Any too dark, or too light (including pure white) accent, can’t be input in the personalization tab. Explanations below:
- It can’t be too dark because the accent ends up being the foreground text color or icon tint color in many cases, and it would become barely visible or invisible.
- It can’t be too light because the accent color ends up being the background to foreground elements (both texts and icons) that are white or light grey, and it would render them barely visible or invisible.
• Beta versions of the apps and beta software are NOT supported. Please avoid reporting issues when using any betas. The overlays are based on stable releases and it is only expectable to have issues when trying to apply the theme on beta software. This is however different for apps that have a separate release channel for betas and for which we provide an overlay, which are for example Chrome Beta and Samsung Internet Beta. The fact those apps have overlays does NOT make a rule about beta apps being supported. The fact a beta version may work or may have worked before it got an update does NOT make a rule about beta apps being supported.
Full changelogs are available in the app, from the 3-dot menu!
Love the colours!
Well done mate. ?

Good that you purchased the app as the subs theme is not yet made Pie compatible but the installer now supports pie and is the main app that gets updated first :good:

Yeah I tried the regular swift and it didn't apply so I just went a night this app.
Another question though I haven't checked in twrp.. Can you still uninstall from /system/data/overlays.xml if something fails?

I'm using this app now. I'm not sure it's placebo effect or not, I notice a slight delay in opening those themed apps. They take more time to launch from cold start. Hope it is just my own delusion.

great job. Congratulations
Working great, now i don't have to use substratum anymore, easy to install also?
Noob question but I never used Substratum or anything so does this work alone or do I need Substratum to theme other parts also? Only asking as I've tried this but it isn't overlaying everything like yours looks. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Nevermind its working great now just done a reboot or two now its perfect. Thanks for this awseomeness
Is this only for Pie? I'm trying for quite awhile for blacked Chrome, is that possible? Thanks!
