Hi:
I’m curious about Google’s project treble and I wonder if my oneplus 11R supports it. Does anyone have any information or experience on this?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Yes. Right now, it's mandatory for all android devices to support Project Treble.

Android Oreo: Project Treble?

Hi,
Has Android Oreo brought Project Treble to the Honor 9?
PalakMi posted here (#6 comment) that since Honor devices has a separate vendor partition Android Oreo could bring project treble to them.

I thought only phones shipped with oreo had proper partitions for treble?! And that phones updated to oreo after could not be partitioned because it could brick your phone.

i know that it could be done, but was not necessarily required for manufacturers.
And yes, huawei enabled treble via an ota update to android 8/emui8 - btw huawei has the new partitions since nougat.

Thank you for answering my questions, I have a last one . Considering that with treble only system partition is flashed, from my understanding, kernel is stock and works with the treble custom rom, is it possible that a device like the honor 9 could get a treble AOSP Android P Rom in the future or that Oero kernel would need to be updated with a full stock EMUI Android P update?

i dont think that it will be that easy to port a new major android version, but we'll see how google handles the vendor versioning part.
It is already a big struggle to get 8.1 running upon 8.0 treble implementation, just because fundamental things changed in the main treble implementation.

Is there any post where I can read more about those problems? I thought it would be the same underlying vendor layer between versions from now on :/

How to get LineageOS 15 (project treble) for ZenFone 4?

A dev team managed to port a ROM of LineageOS for Android O enabled devices that is Project Treble certified. The Asus ZenFone 4 ZE554KL is certified as a A device in Project Treble. Since according to the dev team, this device should work with this ROM. How do we get it to work on the ZenFone 4?
This is where the project is located at...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...evice-development/lineage-phh-treble-t3767690
The sooner we get this working the better! I am so sick and tired of ZenUI!
I tried to follow all the instructions listed here with no luck. Anyone have ideas on how to get this working?

Nope.
This project may actually help us! https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr.../tool-capire-le-treble-terble-vendor-t3774629
Has anyone tried this out to put project treble on the zenfone 4?
There is a YouTube video where it shows how you can make your own rom with that method. It looks like you need Linux which I can use. The Dev unfortunately has not given detailed instructions on what to do yet even though I requested it.
Any news about that?
does anyone have any updates on this?
It would be of great help to us if we had any other alternative ROM for replacing ZenUI, I hope that some DEV will help us. I unfortunately do not modify your ROM. Help us dev's :/

Ours isn't an Android Go device, nor does it have Project Treble enabled. The answer to your question is no, I'm afraid.
it is possible. try the low ram patch on your current rom and see if you like it

Project treble and s9+

Hello s9+ users.
Although there is a couple 9.0 and 8.1 gsi build....there is a whole forum on xda with builds....my question is...
Will the other project treble forums builds work?
I know our phone is arm64 but some builds say arm64-a or arm64-a/b ..... what would I flash?
Thank you

Not really 100% sure, but I'm guessing the kernel may matter. If your on an Exynos device, and most GSI are built for snapdragon I'd assume since that's the majority of devices. Not sure it it's cross-processor or not, but something to look into.

GrapheneOS for Vince?

Hello to all developers,
would a Dev be so kind as to port this Rom to Vince?
https://grapheneos.org
"GrapheneOS is an open source privacy and security focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility."
Think this Rom would be a true enrichment. Even Edward Snowden recommends this OS.
Thank you very much.
@blacksuan19 @Bart_00 @Ruturaj Kadam @4PERTURE @Prateek Punetha @AndroBuddy007 @mdeejay
+1 Yes please. This would be the most important rom of them all.
Bump!
