TL;DR: The device thought you're try to downgrade, so it refused to boot up.
Have same problem in flashing CN model with JP firmware, and even can't restore through Companion because it says no compatiable version to flash.
And you either wait for the firmware update for that region, or...
JUST FLASH A BOOTABLE VERSION AND THEN FLASH DESIRESD OEM/MODEM SIN FILES AFTER THAT.

PC Companion new update download location?

Hello, I have .200 update available for my Z2, but I am rooted and I want to pack my own ftf and make my own flashable zip, as I always did(to keep my customization number because I don't want to install a firmware with another customization number), so, as always, I download the update from PC Companion and select to install it later when the download is done. Usually, the update is in C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\db\*some numbers*\blob_fs, but the problem is that I can't find the .200 update there. Did Sony changed the download location for the phone updates?
Yes, now the FILESET_XXXXXXX files are located on: C:\ProgramData\Sony Mobile\Update Engine\localstorage\13740280 or some number that may change.

Ok, thank you, I've found it a few minutes ago, and I've excluded simlock and the other two .ta files.

"Error: UEGetPhoneInfoFailure UE_2003" when trying to update to 6.0.1

Hi,
I just bought a sony xperia Z5compact from another guy that barely used it. He gave it to me with apparently, a stock ROM. But I dont know if the other guy did anything on the phone like rooting, unlocking, whatever.
But now I want to update from 6.0 to 6.0.1 and I cant do it. Neither in the phone, nor with the computer coz I get this error:
error: UEGetPhoneInfoFailure
UE_2003".
I checked more, and the phone has TWRP recovery and an Androdplus kernel. So it has been modified, but I dont know how to check the status of the bootloader or if it rooted.
I want to update the phone to 6.0.1. and I would like to have a stock rom and a locked bootloader. (because I read that custom rom and unlocking bootloader affect to the function of the camera).
How can I do it?
I am getting different information over the forum and the internet, and I am getting a bit lost...
the security thing from service info, stays like this

htc one m9+ supreme camera

hi guys.
firstly its my very first thread so please ignore the poor posting.
i have a htc one m9+ supreme camera (m9px) hong-kong version.
after flashing a faulty SU the official/stock firmware went faulty and didn't boot back on.
i had to wipe the whole device to be able to try new rom or even firmwares. here is the problem i cant find anything for this phone!
sure i did manage to find a Taiwan version which i flashed but Baseband, radio and ota is not working.
i found a HK version on "easy-firmware.com" and "ir-file.com" but i think it was a fake one (check out the pic).

thus no chance found there. interesting thing is i didnt find the m9px recovery i managed to find a m9pw (htc m9+) and flashed it surprisingly its working , yet it seems because of the difference in models (hiau_ml_tuhl for m9+) and (hiaur_ml_tuhl for m9+ sc) every time that i want to install ota it goes to recovery and recovery cant flash the ota.
so if someone could help me out in any ways i would really appreciate it. or would you send a back up your phone (same model) to me to flash would be awesome too.
thanks again

Question: Safe to downgrade firmware ELS-N39 C636?

Hi, has anyone with ELS-N39 C636 managed to downgrade firmware successfully to prepare for sideload GMS?
The reason I'm asking is because my phone just got into a situation where it reboots every 20 secs. So, I've sent it to service center and they mentioned i will have to get motherboard replacement.
Few question from me
In what scenario will cause that to happen? Wrong firmware flashed?
Which way is more safe to downgrade? Hisuite proxy or OTG?
Seems like Hisuite don't check against current version?
OTG does check and will stop updating if some versions not matching?
I know i could have just flash back the correct firmware, but I've tried using Hisuite which wont happen due to constant rebooting. Also OTG mentioned my version don't match. So any better solution if this happens again? Any alternative firmware tools that is working?
I hope someone who knows the ins and outs of android could shed some light.
I've try to read up as much as I could but those mentioned are some concerns that I still have before retrying to downgrade again.
Thanks!
Here's my software version info
